I then looked up at my beautiful wife, Nicki, with her round belly and reached out my hand for her. “I love you,” she mouthed.
“I love you, too,” I mouthed back. Then I rubbed her round belly to show some love to our baby boy, Maddox Jr. I could feel him kick, which indicated he knew daddy just scored.
The cheering all around me became a roar but it was nothing like the feeling in my heart right now. Fireworks. My family, my only motivation, and my wife Nicki, the one who started it all two years ago by giving me a chance.
