Escape to Pleasure

“Don’t, I’m wet enough.”
Chi grinned and appeared on the verge of saying something, when Sam raised her hand as if in warning.
“And not in that way, don’t look at me like that or say what I know you’re about to say. I just meant my clothes are drenched and I don’t want to…I just want out of these clothes.”
Chi grinned again. “I can help with that.”
Sam made a disgusted sound. “I just feel so icky. The rain always makes my skin feel that way. It’s not sexy. I just want to get these clothes off and take a shower.” She pulled off her wet T-shirt and draped it on the back of the plastic desk chair, then turned around and pointed meaningfully at Chi. “And don’t even think about coming in there with me.”
Looking hurt, Chi stopped in her tracks. “What am I supposed to do, just stand here and drip?”
Hiding a smile, Sam replied, “You don’t have to stand there.”
A hopeful look started to cross Chi’s face, but it was dashed when Sam pointed to another spot in the room.
“You can stand over there and drip if you want.”
Chi sneered. “Cute. Fine, go ahead, but try to be quick about it. I want to get out of these clothes, too. Maybe we can go out for dinner later.”
“Make yourself useful and go and see if they sell umbrellas in that little hotel store thingy in the lobby.” She pulled off her shorts and underthings and put them on the arms of the chair. “Oh, and mention that we didn’t get a view. I know you paid for a view.”
Chi walked to the large window fronted with heavy grey fabric meant to be blackout curtains. It looked out onto the parking lot. She said miserably, “I think this is the view. I didn’t see an ocean on the other side of the hotel either. We passed the beach about a mile back.”
Sam, now completely naked, spoke from the bathroom doorway. “You need to stop making all your travel arrangements from that one website. It also didn’t mention anything about the mandatory deposit, or the fact that we couldn’t get into our room until this afternoon.”
Still looking out at the blacktop, Chi forlornly replied, “True. But, to be fair, the hotel lied when I called them. They confirmed that they have all-day check-in.” Chi sighed and leaned her forehead against the window. “I’m sorry our anniversary’s going to be such a bust. I just wanted our tenth to be special.”
Sam softened, walked up to Chi, and wrapped her arms around her waist. “I’m sorry I was such a bitch. I’m wet, not in the way I’d rather be, and cranky, and ugh! Maybe we can have a do-over today. What do you say?”
Chi turned her head enough so that she could see Sam out of the corner of her eye and leaned her head back. “Sounds good to me. Go ahead and shower, and I’ll go down and see about umbrellas for later and get a recommendation for dinner.”
“Sounds good. And if you don’t take too long, maybe I’ll still be in the shower when you get back.” Sam kissed her on the back of the neck and licked off a raindrop before it went below Chi’s collar.
“You still make me shiver.”
Sam chuckled. “Good. Keeps you coming back.” Sam stepped back enough so that she could playfully swat Chi on the ass. “Now, do as I say.”
“Yes, ma’am. I’ll be right back.” Chi smiled at her, then walked back across the room to the door, but waited until after Sam had closed the bathroom door before she went out into the hallway. When she got down to the lobby, she quickly located the hotel store, which mostly sold various snacks, as well as hokey gifts for friends and family who definitely wouldn’t want to receive them. She found the umbrellas in a stand in the corner near the front, and bought a large one with a curved handle, as she always liked using them like walking sticks once the rain had stopped. She paid up, then asked the clerk, “I was wondering if you know of a great place for dinner around here.”
The clerk looked to be in her sixties and sported a poufy blond hairdo that appeared to be held in place by copious amounts of hair spray. “Well, that depends. Were you wanting something fancy, or more local fare?”
Chi hid her smile at the question. “Something local sounds nice. As long as it’s romantic. My wife and are celebrating our tenth anniversary.”
The clerk’s look softened. “Oh, how nice! That is special, indeed. Picked a heck of a time to come here, though. But I guess you can’t help when your anniversary is.”
“No, ma’am. But that’s the thing. I did kinda mess up and our day didn’t start off so well.”
“Ah, so you need something really special to get you out of the doghouse? I understand.” She nodded knowingly.
Chi couldn’t help but laugh. “That’s right.”
“No problem. My Earl was horrible at planning things for our anniversary. And that’s the years he remembered! Tell your wife she’s lucky to have someone who tries. Or, better yet, bring her down here and I’ll tell her myself.”
“I’ll do that.”
“Good!” The clerk grabbed a piece of paper from under the counter, on the front of which was a flier advertising a tanning salon. She started writing on the back of it as she was talking. “Okay, what you do is take her to Jake’s Seafood Shack. It’s on the beach. Even in this weather, the views are breathtaking. In fact, this is the perfect weather to be indoors anyway. Why not do it where you can get a great meal?” When she finished writing, she handed the paper across to Chi.
Chi took the paper from her and looked it over briefly before putting it in her pocket. “Thanks.”
“You’re welcome. Now, you better get back up to your wife. I’m sure she’s missing you about now.”
Chi, remembering what Sam had said about joining her in the shower, smiled. “I think you’re right about that.” She gave a small wave, then took the elevator back up to her floor. When she entered their room, she was relieved to hear the shower still running. She quickly got undressed, leaving her clothes in a wet pile on the floor, then opened the bathroom door just as the water turned off. “Dammit,” she whispered it, but it echoed in the small tile space.
“Chi?”
“Yeah, it’s me. Looks like I missed you.” She gave a half-hearted smile as Sam pushed the curtain open.
Sam smiled back. “Yeah, looks like you did. I told you to be quick. What took you so long, anyway?” She stepped out and took the towel Chi held out to her. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome. I was getting a dinner recommendation. There’s a great place on the beach.” Chi stood there watching Sam towel herself off, first drying her long hair, then her toned arms and flat stomach, and then her smooth legs. Sam had kept up with yoga and swimming and had been trying to get Chi to eat better for the last couple years. Chi knew she still looked good for mid-forties. Her arms and legs still had definition from all the sports she used to play, even if her six-pack wasn’t as defined as it once was. She knew she had nothing to worry about compared to women half her age. But she had always felt that Sam was the better looking of the two of them. Once Sam had reached her forties, her true beauty showed, and there wasn’t a day that went by that Chi wasn’t catching a glimpse of her in a new angle and finding her beautiful. She swooned the most when Sam wasn’t paying attention to how she looked, such as when she was cooking and a tendril of hair would fall across her cheek as she stood at the stove. Chi always wanted to go up and brush it back for her, and sometimes she did. Other times, such as when Sam came home from work, tired, harried, and irritable, wanting to put her feet up and have a glass of wine, all Chi could do was look at her in her blue nurse’s scrubs and want to rip them off.
Sam finished drying herself and looked up to see Chi staring at her. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing. I was just admiring you. You’re beautiful. I don’t think I tell you enough.” Chi took the towel from her, then turned back to Sam and put her arms around her.
“You tell me every day that you love me and that I’m beautiful or lovely or some such thing. Usually when I look like crap. But always when I need to hear it.
She kissed Chi on the forehead. “You make me feel loved every day. I love you.” She put her arms around Chi’s waist and moved her head to her shoulder for a hug.
Chi embraced her tightly. “I love you too. Thank you for marrying me. Twice. Before and after it was legal.” She placed a small kiss on Sam’s cheek.
Sam chuckled. “I’ll marry you every time you ask me.”
“Noted.”
Sam smiled against Chi’s neck, but turned it into a sensual kiss, while her fingers slowly worked their way down Chi’s side. Chi shivered under Sam’s touch. Sam brought her fingers around and trailed them up to Chi’s nipple, where she teased it into prominence, while her lips nibbled on her ear.
Chi let out a low moan as Sam continued to play with her nipple. She let her own fingers explore and trailed her hand down Sam’s stomach until she reached her desired destination. Her fingers dipped lower until they found Sam’s clit. When she started rubbing the tip of it, Sam stopped nibbling on her ear, put her head on Chi’s shoulder, and moaned.
“Yes,” she whispered.
Chi’s fingers quickened their pace and when she did so, Sam attacked her mouth with such intensity that it caught Chi off guard and she did an intake of breath out of surprise. As Sam’s tongue explored her mouth, her fingers teased Sam’s opening for a moment before she eased her fingers into the wetness that was always waiting for her. She turned her wrist slowly until her fingers were in a come-hither position and began to gently slide them in and out with her thumb upraised so that she could rub against Sam’s clit. Sam pulled away from Chi’s mouth and leaned her head back, pushing her body closer to Chi. Sam began to breath heavier as Chi moved faster and faster inside her.
Sam put a hand on the arm Chi was using on her. She couldn’t resist any longer and she cried out, “Yes, yes, yes.” She put her arms around Chi’s neck, kissing her again, catching her bottom lip in her teeth and sucking on it until Chi moaned into her mouth. When she released her, Chi pumped her hand inside her faster and Sam put her head on her shoulder and bit down with the intensity. Just as her orgasm was about to hit its peak, Chi’s free arm encircled her waist and held her up, because Chi always knew when her orgasm was imminent. She screamed out her bliss, not caring if she was heard.
As Sam’s body started to shudder with aftershocks, Chi eased her fingers out and went back to rubbing Sam’s clit in a slow, lazy fashion, while still holding on to her so she didn’t fall. As Sam went limp against her, Chi kissed her on the neck just under her ear, then whispered, “You’re so beautiful. I love you so much.”
Against Chi’s shoulder, Sam replied, “I love you too.” Sam’s fingers moved up to caress Chi’s cheek. She pulled back to ask, “What do you say we skip dinner, and go in the other room and take our time with each other?”
“Sounds good to me.”
“Happy anniversary, love.”
Chi smiled at her wife. “Happy anniversary.”

I sit at the end of the bar, a spot from which I can see the entire lounge. The ambience of this new lesbian resort is tasteful and elegant, and this room is no exception. The lights are dimmed but not so much I can’t watch all the women mingling, flirting, turning slowly around the small dance floor beside the baby grand in the opposite corner. I admire the cute blonde in the tuxedo seated at the keyboard, her fingers caressing the ivories with a sensually fluid touch. I don’t know what awaits me tonight, but I’ll recognize it when I see it.
That’s the excitement of these getaways—I never know for certain what each one holds. Sure, there’s some routine. How can there not be? I’m such a creature of habit.
I leave work early on Thursday, maybe skip it completely if there’s a flight involved. I have a massage immediately after check-in, then spend that first evening relaxing, ordering something decadently expensive from room service, reading for a while, then curling up for a long sleep. The second day is spent luxuriating in spa treatments and pampering, then either a nice dinner out or another quiet evening with a good book—whichever suits my mood.
The third day—today—is for nothing but preparing for tonight. More massage, this one a lighter touch, something more sensual. More reading, but today it’s strictly erotica, accompanied by my wandering imagination and meandering fingers, tempting an orgasm time after time but never allowing myself release. A long soak in a fragrant bath. A light dinner. The sexy outfit I buy only for this one evening. This time it’s a slinky green dress, the neckline of which accentuates my ample cleavage, the mid-thigh length showcasing my toned legs. Gold and emerald jewelry adorns my throat, ears, and wrist.
And here I sit on this third night of my getaway—the one that’s all about sex—watching and waiting.
I check the door. No one there. I slowly scan the lounge again. Is she already here? My eyes meet those of a lovely femme. She smiles and…Is that a blush? I try on a fantasy of the two of us in each other’s arms, our hands and mouths exploring, our bodies heating. Arousal from my day of teasing simmers. I shift, increasing the pressure around my clit. But no. She’s too soft. I couldn’t ask her for what I need tonight. I smile back, then look away, sending a polite yet clear message.
A movement catches my attention, the opening of the door, the entrance of a woman. It’s her—the one I’ve been waiting for.
She stands just inside the entrance. Looking for someone?
I let my gaze roam over her.
She’s an intriguing blend of contradictions. Her striking features are angular, as though chiseled from stone, yet the expression shaping them is soft and inviting. Her lush, dark hair frames her face and shoulders in feminine waves, while her black slacks, long-sleeved charcoal dress shirt, and black suede vest give her an air of suave masculinity. A silver and black tie is knotted at her throat.
My clit begins to throb as I remember the role of a tie in a story from this afternoon. I return my gaze to her face and abruptly meet hers.
She teases me with a languid smile and a knowing look.
I’ve been caught. My cheeks heat.
She starts toward me but is stopped beside a table near the dance floor. She looks down at a twentysomething, grins, then takes a seat.
My arousal wanes slightly with the disappointment.
Twentysomething is talking.
The woman in black smiles politely, but her attention is directed just over twentysomething’s shoulder, straight at me.
A scenario from my afternoon reading creeps into my mind with her in the lead. Wet heat pools in my pussy, then seeps into my panties. I imagine doing things I’ve never done before with her—for her. I feel wanton.
She pulls her gaze from mine and addresses twentysomething with a grin and a wink, then brings the woman’s hand to her lips. She rises and heads my way. Her gait is confident, assertive, her manner cocky.
I offer a welcoming smile as she approaches.
“Hello,” she says, her tone low and raspy. “Can I buy you a drink?”
“I’m good,” I say, lifting my glass and swirling the deep red liquid.
She looks me over, lingering on my throat, my cleavage, and my thighs where one crosses the other.
Fire ignites beneath my skin.
When she returns to my face, her focus brushes my lips before she meets my eyes once more. “I have no doubt.”
I blush. “May I buy you a drink?”
She dips her head in a single nod and signals the bartender. “Scotch. Neat,” she says, reclaiming eye contact with me. “On the lady’s tab.”
I’m intrigued with how she’s let me buy the drink, yet maintains the upper hand. Yes. This woman I ca
n ask for what I need. And I suspect she can give it—no problem.
“I’m Veronica,” she says, slipping onto a stool, facing me. Her drink is delivered, and she takes a swallow.
“Talia.” I watch her lips press against the rim of the glass, wanting to feel them on mine, to taste the liquor coating them.
“Talia,” she says slowly, as though savoring my name on her tongue. “That’s pretty.” She slides her hand along the bar, and I think she’s going to take mine. She stops a mere breath away.
I want to touch her. It’d take only the slightest shift for our fingertips to meet. But I can’t, not and create the dynamic I desperately crave tonight.
She gives me what can only be called a wicked grin. She knows what she’s doing.
I know this game too, though. I pick up my wine for a sip and make sure the very tip of my tongue meets the glass before my lips close over it. I watch her over the rim.
Her eyelids lower ever so slightly, and her gaze darkens. She waits until my drink is back on the bar before she says, “Dance with me, Talia.” Not a request.
My clit jumps, and I can barely keep from squirming. “I’d love to.”
She guides me across the crowded room, her hand on my elbow, then moves in front of me as we step onto the dance floor.
I loop my arms around her neck and shiver as she trails her hands over my shoulders, then down my sides to rest on my hips. We begin to sway to the notes of “Someone to Watch Over Me.” She’s taller than me, even in my heels. It’s the precise difference for me to notice the perfection of her mouth, the tiny curve to her upper lip, the plumpness of the lower. I look into her eyes. They’re a dark color I can’t name. There are other things to notice, though—the heating of the scant space between us, the softness of her hair draping over my hands, the whisper of her breath across my cheek. I can’t wait much longer to know if she’ll give me what I need. The throb between my legs demands an answer. We stare at each other, lost in one another, fixed in this moment, until…It’s up to me. “I…Will you…” My voice trembles.
