“I want to see the sharks.”
“Maybe not tonight. I don’t know if we’ll have time, but we’ll head over to Mandalay Bay and see them before we go.”
She nodded enthusiastically then turned to my wife—God, I loved that she was my wife. “Can I?”
Again, Adler nodded to indicate he was okay with it.
“Sure,” Marigold agreed. After I handed the bodyguard a wad of cash he insisted he didn’t need, they headed for Excalibur and we took off for our room. Carson, our quiet shadow remained with us until we got there, then sidetrack to his own room.
Outside our door, I handed her the keycard then swung her up in my arms. “And over the threshold,” I said.
She laughed. “You carry me over the threshold all the time.”
“I like having you in my arms this way. Now, my Princess Marigold, what do you want to do?”
She squinted at me. “I don’t think that’s how it works.”
“No, but you’re my princess, no matter what.”
Her sigh, warmed my neck. “Are your people going to be angry you did a quickie wedding in Vegas.”
I shrugged, letting her down to her feet. My hands skimmed down her arms to grasp her hands. “Some, maybe. Mostly, it’ll be the queen who’s peeved. She’ll get a grip.”
“Peeved that you didn’t marry someone of royal blood?”
“You know, you can’t tell my O negative from someone else’s O neg. Blood is blood. It’s all red. There’s nothing about it that makes one person better than another one. My mother would do well to remember her beginnings. And she will. And she’ll still be annoyed that we didn’t give her the big royal to-do, with the Bishop of Zenderland officiating. We’ll…probably have to do that. Maybe next year, after…”
“After?” she said, her eyes narrowing.
“Uh…” Damn it.
My girl looked amused. “Yes?”
“Well, I think you might be pregnant. I told the ER doc that so he’d take precautions,” I said, coming clean.
Marigold grasped my hand and brought it to her soft belly. She bit her lip, tilting her head. “I think I might be, too.”
Joy burst through me at the idea of us starting our family. My hand covered hers. “You do?”
She nodded. “I think…I might know I am.”
“You are?” I breathed. My knees went weak, and I sank to the ground, pressing my face to her stomach. It hit me hard that I’d almost lost her yesterday. I’d almost lost them both. “And everything’s okay?”
“As far as we can tell. It’s early days. I was going to take a test when I got home yesterday afternoon, when I didn’t go into your office. Then… Well, you know.”
“Adler’s getting a hefty raise and promotion. If he hadn’t put that tracker in your shoe, we might never have found you on time.” I’d have nightmares over it.
“I think he’s going to desert me for my sister.”
“You noticed that, did you?”
“The two of them… The remind me of you and me. One look and bang!”
I nodded. “He’s a good man. She’s safe. Once she turns eighteen, no guarantees. I promise he won’t be inappropriate. Adler takes the law, especially laws regarding minors, very seriously. He used to be on the human trafficking taskforce before he came to work for me. He’ll wait.”
“Good. I’m just so grateful she safe and with us and… I don’t want to talk about my sister anymore.”
“No? What do you want?”
Her grin widen, the devil sparkling in her eyes. “I want my husband inside me and making me scream. I want him to show me who I belong to.”
“Oh, you know who you belong to.”
Giggling, she turned and sprinted away. “Prove it,” she called over her shoulder.
And I did, over and over, while she called my name and told me she was mine.
Epilogue
~ Marigold ~
Three Years Later
“My parents’ plane will be arriving in an hour. Ready to go, precious?” Booker asked, coming up behind me. His hands cradled my tiny baby bump. Our third baby would be here in six months. He would be fifth in line for the throne of Zenderland, after our oldest son. Not that we had to worry. Booker’s brother, the crown prince, would be getting married next month. To Princess Athena! Who actually happened to be deeply in love with Prince Xavier. And he just about wanted to knock out anyone who looked too intently at her. It was kind of funny. She’d never wanted to marry Booker. She and Xavier had been ready to run off and elope like Booker and I had.
“Not sure I’ll ever be ready,” I told him. “Your mother is always pretty difficult.”
She’d apologized profusely for her behavior the day I’d been kidnapped and she’d sent gifts, but since I wasn’t the gold digger she accused me of being, that hadn’t really flown with me. Over time we’d hashed it out, and I understood her fear of women going after her sons for their money and bloodline rather than for love. I couldn’t say I wouldn’t have similar fears for my sons and my daughter. Now, she just tended to go into super-grandma mode and spoil the crap out of the kids—all of them, including Linzey. She would be over the moon for Linz’s baby girl.
Besides, Linzey living with us, until last year, Booker and I were fostering a brother and sister who’d been orphaned shortly after we’d been married. I got a crash course in motherhood since we’d started out with a third grade boy and a sixth grade girl. But they were safe and well cared for, so if I’d screwed up a little while I was learning the ropes, so be it. We were all happy and doing well.
“I think I need something to relax me before we go to the airport,” I hinted, trailing my fingers down his lapel. “Got any ideas?”
“I have an idea or two, and since Linzey and Adler took the kids to their house, we’ve got the place to ourselves.”
“Mmm…that sounds good.”
Booker led me into his office and closed the door before leading me to the nearest flat surface—his desk. In a flash, my ass was on it and he was kneeling between my legs. My skirt was pushed up, and he dragged my panties to the side.
“Booker,” I gasped, burying my hand in his hair while I propped myself with the other. His tongue flicked over my folds, so warm and intent. Most of the time, he was just my Booker and not a prince, but sometimes, I remembered and it blew my mind that I was his and he did this for me. That I was his wife and the mother of his children. “Oh!” I cried as his finger circled my clit. “Oh my…Booker!”
He stood, jerking open his pants then yanking out his cock. His hand cupped the back of my neck, supporting me, while his other lined up his glans with my opening. He gripped my hip as soon as he was sinking inside.
We groaned together at the sensation of him filling me.
“You feel so good,” he breathed against my neck. “I don’t know how I ever survive the six weeks when I’m not allowed to be inside you a couple times a day.”
We did tend to make love a lot. Even three years later, we were practically insatiable.
My head fell back as I bucked into him, crying out my pleasure. Even though I’d just orgasmed, another built in my core, twisting tighter and tighter as Booker thrust into me. Taking advantage of my position, he kissed my neck and found all the most sensitive spots he knew so well. My pussy clamped around him.
“Oh, fuck, precious. Yes. Just like that. Squeeze the cock that’s owning you. I’m going to come so hard you’ll feel it all day.”
“Yes. Yes,” I wailed. “Give it to me, your highness.”
“Always for my princess.”
My legs went around him while he drove. He lifted me. Turning, he pressed my back to the wall. His cock drilled me harder while I clung to him, arms and legs twined around him.
The sound of slapping flesh, gasps and groans filled the office, turning me on even more.
“Come again. I need you to come again,” Booker ground out, and I knew he was close, his jabs growing shallow and uneven. He wedg
ed a hand between us and rubbed my clit with his thumb. I went off like a rocket, dragging Booker with me.
We froze there, breathing hard.
“Relaxed?” Booker finally asked into my neck where his face was pressed.
“Mm-hmm.” Bring on the world. I might have problems, we all did, but none of them were with this billionaire, my very own Prince Charming.
More Billionaires?
Would you like to meet Bella and Chase O’Malley? Or Lily and Silas Rutherford? Cricket and Elijah (Brix) Brixton? Check out their books below. They’re available now.
Billionaire Club, Book 1 – Blind Date With the Billionaire
Date my billionaire boss? No way… Too bad it was a blind date.
Bella: My dream of a successful art career consumes my life, so I didn’t want to join the dating app. I don’t have time for it, but somehow, my best friend persuaded me. Fine. What’s one night? One date? I ended up matched with YourMan01, a guy who seems only interested in hooking up. I’m not interested in forever, so YourMan01’s plans sound okay with me. Besides, meeting this stranger might turn my thoughts from the only man I truly want—a man completely off limits: My boss, Chase O’Malley.
This new dating site is unique: they screen the applicants and set up the date. I have no idea what he looks like. We just have a time and place to meet. And if sex enters the picture, good. That might distract me from Chase. I need my job with O’Malley Financial to keep myself afloat while I pursue my art, and daydreaming about my demanding boss is the surest way to get myself fired. Even if he were interested, Chase always has a new woman on his arm. Anything between us wouldn’t last. What would happen when it ended? That would ruin everything.
Chase: I’ve waited too long to claim her, but now, Bella is mine. What’s the point of being a billionaire if you can’t use your wealth to sway your fortune? Membership dating sites are lucrative right now, but that’s not even close to why I started one. For once, I don’t care about the money. My entire objective: My new assistant, Bella Renfroe.
When she finds out what I’ve done, she’ll be furious, but that won’t stop me. She’s going in blind, but this date will open her eyes. Soon, she’ll be in my bed, in my life, and totally, irrevocably mine.
Billionaire Club, Book 2 – Billionaire Auction
He has a paddle. Maybe he’ll bid…
After her father is caught embezzling millions, Moriah agrees to sell herself in a Billionaire’s Auction – one weekend and her virginity awarded to the highest bidder. While she might appear as the doting daughter, doing whatever is necessary to keep her father out of prison, Moriah has much more at stake than securing the freedom of a parent she despises. She’ll do whatever she has to do to keep her sister safe.
Her first time should be for love, not for sacrifice…
When Kendrick gave Moriah’s father three days to return the stolen money, he never imagined the scoundrel would set up some twisted “virginity auction” and sell his daughter to one of their perverted billionaire clients. Kendrick will be damned if he’ll let that Moriah prostitute herself for her greedy father. It’s not going to happen. Not if he can help it. And being a billionaire himself, he intends to make sure it doesn’t.
Billionaire Club, Book 3 – Stranded With the Billionaire
It’s paradise…until you shipwreck there!
Lily:
Shipwrecking seems like something out of a movie-of-the-week or a TV show. I never thought it would happen to me. But it did—with Silas, the hottest man I’ve ever seen. It’s not ideal, but things could be worse, right? I could be alone, or with a pervy jerk, or my billionaire boss…
Turns out Silas really is my boss. And off-limits. I really should have researched better, but what can I say? I was running from trouble. Out of the frying pan and into the fire…
Silas:
From the moment I saw her, I knew. Lily is mine, and I need her at my side. I offered her a teaching job to get her to my tropical island—hey, I had ulterior motives, but it’s a real job!
I didn’t know about her troubles. Doesn’t matter. She’s with me now. I’ll do anything for her. I’ll do anything to protect her.
Unfortunately, not everything is in my control. Mother Nature had other plans. When a freak storm hit, our boat capsized and we fought for our lives in the deadly waves. Thank God, we survived. Thank God, we found land.
Not so great: the island’s deserted. It’s just me and my woman.
Could be worse. We have each other. We’ll make it work.
Billionaire Club, Book 4 – The Billionaire and the Beast
I’ve never been a cute, petite little thing.
And my stepsister Ella and her friends never let me forget it. In fact, growing up, I always felt like Cricket, the jolly, mean giant—not that I’m mean. More like I’m a scapegoat.
Now, I have one month until I get the heck out of Dodge and escape my family, this city and all the people who’ve called me Beast all these years. I’m never coming back. Until then, I just need to avoid my parents, my stepsister and the gorgeous billionaire she has her eye on.
Not so hard. I know how to fly under the radar.
Except…he has no interest in my stepsister. No, his eye is on me. He calls me his princess. And there’s nothing I can do to escape my fate, especially when Ella discovers his interest. She’s determined to prove I’m Cricket the Beast again.
And maybe, I should let her, just so I can leave here before I get hurt. Because hot guys like him? They’re definitely not into beasts like me.
