The Stone Giant itself also did not have any vital weaknesses. Their resistance to physical attacks was incredibly great. They were very sturdy and could resist many blows, and with the puppet trap arts that increased their movement speed, the overall combat abilities of Stone Giants could be said to have no weaknesses that a player could exploit. There were no strategies that could be deployed against them.

If anyone wanted to train using Stone Giants, they would have to form a huge party and take turns to fight them one by one!

However, Happy destroyed Phantom Jade's knowledge toward the matter.

He executed skill after skill, capturing each of the Stone Giant's moves beforehand or dodging them at the most opportune moment. His attacks were steady and firm, and he naturally struck with his saber from a suitable angle! The simple but powerful Hundred-battle Saber let out a pleasant, hoarse w.h.i.n.e and cut deep slashes into the Stone Giant's sturdy body.

Stones flew all over the place!

The moment the Stone Giant turned around to attack, Happy moved slightly and retreated from the radius of its attack.

Then, when the Stone Giant finished the attack, he moved forward with a gentle motion and struck the puppet before dodging its next attack. Every single one of his moves were connected smoothly!

Even though it looked very normal and nothing seemed out of place, Happy had not made many mistakes even after a lot of time passed, which shocked Phantom Jade. He could not believe that under the Stone Giant's terrifying speed, this person could catch the trajectory of its attacks. They were so fast they left afterimages, yet he could avoid them in a relaxed manner.

With the smallest of movements, he maximized the strength of his martial arts. By doing so, not only did he save time, he also reduced danger to a great extent. If this lasted for another day, Phantom Jade shuddered to think what would become of Happy if he practiced his martial arts at this speed!

Phantom Jade's expression was incredibly solemn. He finally understood why his three companions in Blessed Realm were at a disadvantage against this person and why he would train alone in such a dangerous area.

Phantom Jade was stunned speechless. He s.u.c.k.e.d in a deep breath while retaining his composure, then lowered his voice and gave a word of caution to his comrade.

"You must not provoke this sort of person."

With a shocked expression still on his face, the man nodded, because he agreed with Phantom Jade's thoughts.

Even though he did not observe the situation as deeply as Phantom Jade, the moment they crossed hands, he had sensed the explosive force concealed beneath Happy's calm movements. The oppressive pressure that had exploded from his body still shook his heart, and he could not calm down even after a long time had passed.

"She's not here, it's a dead end over there!"

The man with the fan rushed back to the main hall hastily. They did not stop moving as he led everyone to charge down another tunnel.

If this person had been a little more sensible and told them Red Coral's whereabouts earlier, they would not have to waste so much time looking for her.

"Young master, once we find Red Coral, why don't we—"

The man who had been rebuked had his back turned toward Happy. He lowered his voice and made a slicing motion across his neck with his finger.

  "We'll talk later!"

Happy was currently a taboo in the heart of the man with the fan. When he heard this, he scowled impatiently and brought his group to another tunnel.

Right when the group rushed in there, a blurry figure appeared at the entrance of the main hall, and it swiftly became clear.

  "She's there!"

Phantom Jade and the injured man were at the back of the group. When they sensed movement behind them, they turned their heads around and saw graceful red figure stagger out of a white hoop. Their eyes lit up, and they alerted their group ahead of them in excitement.

  "Damn it!"

Red Coral's face turned pale. She wanted to rush out, but her movements were affected by her earlier injuries. She staggered and lost her breath. Because of it, she froze on the spot.

In truth, when she entered the main hall, she had deliberately left behind some blood on the floor, then returned to the entrance to the main hall to log off! She only needed some time to complete this, and she would be safe. She believed that the person in the hall far away from her would not notice her.

Besides, with her understand toward the cautious nature of the man with the fan, she was sure he would bring all of his men into the tunnels with him…

However, she had not predicted that Happy would hold them back for some time, causing her meticulous calculations to deviate slightly and an error to form. She lost her chance to escape just like that.

When she saw that the group had noticed her, the effect of the bounty quest dragged her into combat mode, and she could no longer log off safely. When she remembered that the man with the fan had instructed people to stay at the entrance, she fell into despair and drew her weapon without having any hope to survive.

  "Hahahaha…"

When the man with the fan heard the ruckus, he came back. Upon seeing Red coral, he relaxed. His group surrounded her calmly.

"Red Coral, as expected of the chief military advisor of Black Rose. You're as cunning as a fox. We've chased after you for almost an entire day, and you nearly escaped from our grasp a few times…" While he spoke, they drew close to her. A few pairs of gazes brazenly looked Red Coral's curvaceous body up and down.

It had to be said that Black Rose lived up to its name as a clan full of beautiful female players. Red Coral looked as if her skin had been submerged in milk. It was fair and radiant. Her eyes were filled with indignation and vexation, but remained stubborn and bright. They had a charm to them, tempting all those who saw her so much that their hearts would race for her.

"Hmph, if you want to kill me, then spare me the nonsense." Red Coral ignored the group's harassing gazes. There was scorn on her pretty face. "And you call yourself the greatest sect in Jiangnan, Purple Sun Sect?! Don't you have any shame when you call yourselves that?

"We just botched a few of your operations to steal the tributes, and you became so angry and humiliated that you refused to stop until you destroy us. You even sent a group of people to kill a weak woman… Hmph! Aren't you ashamed?"

The heart of the man with the fan tensed up, and warning bells rang in his mind.

Before he could warn his group, the men next to him could not help but cast each other a glance and smile.

"You idiots, this woman is tricking us to tell her the truth!"

But unfortunately, it was already too late…

Once Red Coral finished speaking, she keenly captured the changes in the group's expressions. She furrowed her eyebrows slightly, and she quickly came to a conclusion. "Looks like you didn't chase after me for those tributes, and neither did you come seeking revenge. Could it be that you came for this?"

The intelligent woman brought out a simple jade slit ring without any decorations from her Universe Bag. She observed it before her gaze focused, and she frowned. A puzzled look appeared on her face.

"I picked this up from your leader. Aside from this, I cannot think of anything that could have made you chase after me so persistently. So, this means that this thing has a certain background to it, hmm? Or perhaps… it has a secret to it?"

Once the man with the fan reminded everyone, they became on guard and kept quiet.

The man with the fan cast a glance at Red Coral, and his gaze darkened.

"Since you already know about this, I can't let you live!"

When he said this, he did not notice that the battle at the corner had already ended. Happy stood on top of a pile of shattered rocks with his back straight. He did not immediately pick up his spoils of war, but instead, stared at the jade slit ring Red Coral had lifted up with shock and bewilderment. He frowned, and a contemplative expression appeared on his face.

  Chapt
er 104 - Mysterious Jade Slit Ring

"I knew it, it's because of this thing." Red Coral had an enlightened expression before she looked like she did not know whether she wanted to cry or laugh.

She obtained the item three days ago. During the stealing tribute quest she had meticulously planned, her sisters from Black Rose stole an important tribute from Purple Sun Sect during the chaos. She had also taken the jade slit ring from a Blessed Realm player who appeared to have some status in the sect.

At that time, she had only cast a quick glance at the item before she tossed it into her Universe Bag. Then, when she returned to the city, she encountered Purple Sun Sect's vicious attacks.

The people from Purple Sun Sect seemed to know her general location, and they mobilized a large number of people to investigate the government-made roads, forests, mountains, and roads, and soon, they knew every time she changed directions.

In the beginning, Red Coral thought that Purple Sun Sect was just angry and embarrassed by their loss and decided to take revenge on Black Rose, but as time passed, she began to feel that something was off.

The other members of Black Rose were not attacked while she was treated like the queen. Wherever she went, she would run into people from Purple Sun Sect. Their hatred had puzzled and perplexed her.

However, she had not linked their actions to the jade slit ring she had nearly forgotten in her Universe Bag!

She believed that Purple Sun Sect had got to know her identity as the strategist for the operation from somewhere, which was why they wanted to take revenge on her at all costs and kill her…

She fled all the way to the ancient tomb in Yangzhou.

When she thought about how she was chased for no reason and how her sisters had fearlessly sacrificed themselves for her over the past two days because of the plain jade slit ring, Red Coral felt that what she had been through was not worthwhile. She was also somewhat curious about the secret hidden in the jade slit ring.

When she saw the group led by the man with the fan look regretful, she swiftly spoke up. "Wait!"

"Don't even dream about it. We have men guarding the entrance of the ancient tomb. It's impossible for you to stall for time while searching for a chance to flee." The man with the fan fanned himself while he interrupted Red Coral's words with a frivolous smile. "But to think that we'll have to kill a charming and beautiful lady like you… Hah, I actually can't quite bring myself to do it."

"If I'm going to die either way, why don't you tell me what secret is contained in this item and what are its functions before I die? At least let me know the reason for my death."

Red Coral was not angry. Instead, a hint of cunning flashed briefly in her eyes.

"Let you know the reason for your death? Bah! Do you think I'm an idiot?!" The man fanning himself chuckled. "You want to learn of its secrets from me? Did you actually think that I would tell you?"

When Red Coral heard his words, she knew that there was no way to go about it. She rolled her eyes in an incredibly bitter manner, then turned her face to the side, as if she had been wronged. This small action of hers was incredibly charming and attractive, and she gave off the air of a woman who was highly dependent on a man.

Soon, Red Coral turned her head around. "If I return this item to you, will you let me go?"

"Toss the item here first and let me see whether it's real or fake." He did not dare to agree to any of Red Coral's terms easily.

Even though their main goal was to get the jade slit ring back, but Purple Sun Sect had spent a lot of manpower and money to chase after Red Coral. If they let her go just like that, how was he supposed to gain a footing in the sect in the future?!

Letting Red Coral was clearly not practical.

"Promise me. As long as I give you the real jade slit ring, you'll let me go, and I'll immediately return the item to you!"

Red Coral's round eyes sparkled while she offered her condition.

"Then forget it, if I let you go, it won't be easy for me to explain things to my superiors."

The final words of the man with the fan crushed Red Coral's final hope.

However, it was practically an offense against social norms to harden their hearts and kill a beauty without any power to fight back, even if it was just a game. After all, the level of realism was incredibly great, and her face was incredibly real because of it. Once he thought about it, the man fanning himself looked at the person beside him.

"Phantom Jade, you do it! The others, be on guard. Don't let her run away because of some stupid trick!"

Phantom Jade shrugged helplessly and stepped forward.

He was the only person who could handle this matter.

Red Coral might be a girl, but she was not weak. Aside from being in Blessed Realm, she relied on her fierce high-tier blade technique, Dancing Mandarin Ducks. She was only second to her clan master, Black Rose, in her sect, and she was not a person normal Blessed Realm players could handle.

"Lass, it'd be best if you gave up on pointless struggle."

Phantom Jade stared at Red Coral. With a flick of his wrist, a shiny black whip appeared in his hand. His gaze focused, and his presence turned incredibly astonishing.

Red Coral seemed to have completely given up on fighting back. She bit down on her bottom lip and did not even draw her weapon. She stared at Phantom Jade as he slowly approached her while her c.h.e.s.t heaved violently. She gradually closed her eyes.

  Phantom Jade gritted his teeth!

If he were to fight against Red Coral, he was the one who would have a harder time.

He had to admit that her figure and face were extremely alluring. She was the type of woman who had the face of an angel and the curves of a demon, and she was even top class and knew how to control her feminine charms. It was very difficult for a man to attack her.

When he was close to her, he intentionally chose not to look at her expression. He braced himself to walk forward to execute her!

Time seemed to have suddenly slowed down.

Thirty-two feet, twenty-six feet, sixteen feet, thirteen feet, eleven feet…

The air also seemed to have been frozen by the stagnant atmosphere. It was so quiet that it felt like a dream, and Phantom Jade thought he could hear the heartbeat and breathing of everyone in the area.

As the two people drew closer, Red Coral wrapped her arms around herself and closed her eyes. When Phantom Jade came to a point where she was in his attack range, the hesitation on his face disappeared. There was only wariness and murderous intention in his eyes.

Red Coral put the jade slit ring back into her Universe Bag once Phantom Jade had her in his attack range. She secretly relaxed her grip and prepared to grab her saber at any time to save herself.

'Did you actually think I would close my eyes and wait for my death? What a joke.'

There was no way anyone from Black Rose would just close their eyes and wait for their deaths. No matter what sort of desperate and hopeless situation they were in, they would rather fight to their deaths…

However, from the moment Red Coral was surrounded, she had thought of something.

Even though she had not noticed him when she came over, from the moment she was surrounded, the man with the fan and his group would cast gazes at him unintentionally. Their reactions made her certain that there was something strange about the person in the corner.

However, since the time she had to observe their reactions was short and she did not personally witness their fight, she could not be certain whether the two parties had argued or fought before.

But she did have a bit of hope toward him. Hence, while all the words she said and the frailty she showed seemed to have been targeted at the people from Purple Sun Sect, in truth, they were for the young man in the corner.

But a pity for her, her plan deviated again. Even when Phantom Jade moved to stand right in front of her, the young man did not show any intention to save a damsel in distress even after he witnessed something so unfair.

/>   'You stupid, cowardly man!'

Red Coral clenched her teeth and completely gave up on placing her hopes on that person. She decided to fight to her death!

At that moment, a lackadaisical voice everyone's ears. "Since you did not manage to land a deal, why don't we make a deal ourselves, beautiful?"

When he heard that sentence, the man with the fan froze while fanning himself.

Chapter 105 - I Don’t Mind if You Pledge to Marry Me

"Brother, this is a personal matter of Purple Sun Sect, please do not interfere."

In the face of Happy, who decided to interfere at a critical moment, the expressions of the man with the fan and his group instantly turned incredibly sour. Happy's act of butting in during such an important situation without bothering about their emotions made their imaginations run wild. The tone of the man with the fan turned cold. His gaze sparkled as his emotions fluctuated.

"I don't care about your personal matters, I just want to make a deal with the lady over there. It has nothing to do with you." Happy moved toward the seven men from the corner at a moderate pace. Then, he walked past Phantom Jade, as if the man did not exist.

Phantom Jade did not dare create any misunderstanding. He froze while groaning in his heart.

The thing he was most worried about had happened in the end. Once this mysterious, young, and powerful player who came from unknown origins decided to interfere, he did not know how the situation would develop.

He began to guess darkly in his heart.

'Do these two actually know each other? Or are we seriously going about the cliche storyline of a hero saving a damsel in distress?'

He had to admit, no matter which one it was, it was not good news to them.
