When he sensed the change of emotion in the person across from him, Netherworld's expression changed. He held his breath, and a hint of uneasiness flashed briefly in his eyes.

Soon, Happy relaxed and regained his indifferent mien.

He cast an aloof glance at Netherworld, who was surprised and bewildered, opened his mouth slowly, and said his first complete sentence since he came to Punishment Mount.

  "I'm not selling it."

Even though he appeared calm, his words sounded very stiff.

Netherworld wanted to say more, but when he saw Happy's expression darken and his eyes shine with a fierce glare, for some reason, he swallowed the words that were already at the tip of his tongue.

"Do you want me to send you away?"

The cold request for him to leave showed that the speaker had already lost his patience.

Even though Netherworld did not know why that person did not show any signs of respect or wariness when he heard Class One Hall's name and found the anger and impatience he showed to be strange, the threat hidden within his sentence was something that Netherworld did not dare belittle.

"If that is the case, I will take my leave."

  He turned around resentfully.

When Happy saw Netherworld quickly retreat into the white fog, where he soon disappeared, he was finally unable to hold back the anger that surged in him and was on the verge of exploding.

He panted heavily and gasped for air. His c.h.e.s.t heaved violently, and his expression was livid. When he looked in the direction in which Netherworld had disappeared, a pained look born from something in his memories shone in his eyes.

In his previous life, there was only one time during his twenty-five years of living that he had been injured that heavily, and he remembered that experience well!

If it had been a simple breakup or a conflict born out of differing interests, Happy would not have been angry.

And there was something that he came to understand only right before the matter happened.

That person should have planned it for a long time. He had intentionally lured him out on the eve of the Sword Among Us Tournament at Mount Hua, so he would get drunk and be unable to wake up on time.

When he returned to the game, his decision to come down from Shaoshi Mountain had been a spontaneous one. He had only notified him of it because he wanted to know just what had happened the previous night. But when he went to the mountainside, he was ambushed. There had been a large group of people waiting outside Guanlin Temple for him!

At that time, only that person knew the path Happy would take and at what time he would descend the mountain.

He had planned it for a long, long time.

But there was something Happy still did not understand.

There was no grudge between them, so why did he formulate all those plans? What was his real goal?

It was a question which troubled Happy, and something her had pondered over endlessly.

He wanted to know the entirety of what happened!

However, when Netherworld appeared in the name of Class One Hall, he still inevitably caused ripples in his calm heart.

The more anger was acc.u.mulated, the more it threatened to explode from within a person.

However, Happy understood that he needed to bear with it for the time being.

Of course, there was a possibility that because of the unexpected encounter, that person would enter his life even earlier than in the previous life.

When Happy thought of this, his expression grew cold, which was something rarely seen on him.

  The mountain wind roared!

The blue-robed figure who stood near the cliff seemed to have caused the temperature at Punishment Mount to fall by several degrees.

  *****

It was through great effort that Netherworld returned to the other cliff. By that time, he was already covered in a thin layer of cold sweat.

It was the first time he sensed a pressure that only his president could give him from someone in his age group. That person had not said much, but the presence he exuded made it hard for Netherworld to even think about going against him.

"No, I must notify the president immediately."

Netherworld rested for a few seconds on the spot before he brought out a messenger pigeon and a piece of paper from his Universe Bag.

He described the matters on his side before he quickly folded the paper, rolled it, and stuffed it into the thin bamboo tube between the messenger pigeon's legs. He then lifted it up with his hands and sent it flying into the air.

  Flap, flap, flap!

  *****

The fight outside Shaolin Temple had already ended. The scene of blood flowing in streams was gone as well.

The thousands of players slowly ceased fighting and left. Those who remained either sat or stood in dejection. They sighed at each other, and some of them left in groups of three or five.

The scene was desolate and lonely, just like how it always looked after a battle!

More than a hundred powerful players from Class One Hall swooped in with the force of someone who could easily break a twig. They killed most of the powerful players from the three great sects who had their combat abilities greatly diminished and effortlessly snatched the brocade box.

The hundred or so powerful players from Class One Hall had executed high-tier martial arts, and fought against two or three enemies by themselves. With only a few people, they won against many without any effort and eliminated all the people around the brocade box!

The medium-sized or small forces of power who watched by the side and were ready to profiteer by taking advantage of the situation were also shocked by the people who had suddenly extended their hands into the situation! They did not dare to act recklessly.

At that moment, a woman wearing a veil made of silver threads received a messenger pigeon at the foot of Shaoshi Mountain.

She unfolded the letter and looked at it. A light crease appeared between her heroic-looking eyebrows. She could not help but mumble under her breath.

"There's someone who can bring a brocade box to Punishment Mount and has enough strength to rival a monk who had broken his Buddhist vows? Who could it be?"

Chapter 144 - Beautiful Robes Faction

Because of Netherworld, Happy's originally cheery mood went bad. When another monk who had broken his Buddhist vows respawned near the area, he threw his throwing knife at him and lured him to the cliff to fight against him!

However, the constant defensiveness and being unable to take the initiative in the fight not only did not manage to get rid of the disp.l.e.a.s.u.r.e in Happy's heart and the anger that stirred in him when he remembered the past, he even became even more dejected. He constantly felt that there was a ball of fire running on a rampage in him as it burned fiercely.

His gaze focused, and he formed his left hand into a claw. He then executed Dragon Capture brazenly.

Ten True Dragon Styles caused his true qi to move in reverse. The strong suction force that was equivalent to the force of a whirlpool that erupted from Dragon Capture before it was fully executed caused the monk who had broken his Buddhist vows to be unable to fight back. With a scream of surprise, his weapon was captured, and he also temporarily lost his balance because of the power that surged into his body through his weapon. For an instant, he was unable to fight back.

The moment Happy succeeded and sensed the monk losing balance, he had an idea. He began to reorganize and manage his qi. He scowled and boldly gave up on his Hundred-battle Saber to execute Dragon Capture with his right hand as well!

The power of a whirlpool surged out of his right palm, and he swiftly caught the monk who had been sent flying to him because of inertia.

  "Ah!"

When the monk was captured by Happy, the power in his body melted away like snow in spring. It was dismantled until there was nothing left, and shock appeared on the monk's face! Happy then dragged him like a puppet to the edge of the cliff.

At that moment, Happy was finally able to temporarily cast aside the negative emotions that had arisen because of Netherworld's appearance. He focused his attention on the monk's actions. While sensing the situation in the monk's body, he continued to use Dragon Capture from Ten True Dragon Styles to forcefully control the monk.

Left hand, right hand, left hand!

His Dragon Capture changed continuously, and he executed it nonstop.

The monk was dragged to the side like a puppet because of Happy's movements. Then, he was suddenly dragged back by a huge force.

There was no longer the arrogance of a Mystical Realm eminent monk on his face. Even though Happy didn't deal any damage to him, he was incredibly skilled in executing the crafty skill. He could control the monk's main meridian systems and important acupressure points, making it impossible for the monk to gather up his qi and break free.

  "So that's the case."

After repeatedly executing Dragon Capture, Happy gained a deep understanding toward the first style of Ten True Dragon Styles.

'That's right. The powerful force equivalent to that of a whirlpool that will appear when Dragon Capture is executed and the profound movement trajectory of this skill can easily allow me to control every single part of a person's body for an instant!'

Happy could instantly control anyone he wanted. While it made it a strong move, Dragon Capture itself did not contain any lethal force!

It also used up a lot of qi. With Happy's current amount, which was only around one hundred, he could only it twelve times. And if his qi fell below eighty points, he would not be able to activate Blessed Realm.

However, this would not affect his ability to use Dragon Capture. This meant that the execution of Dragon Capture was not related to his qi realm. Even if it fell, there would be no changes. However, it would also not be able to affect enemies with higher qi realms just because his qi realm increased either.

In other words, Dragon Capture was exactly the way it was described. It could not level up, and it was only effective against enemies in Mystical Realm and below!

Once Happy got the details of the skill down, he decisively attacked with his palm and sent the monk flying. He quickly turned around and picked up his Hundred-battle Saber from the ground, then hastily stuffed a medicinal tablet into his mouth. The consecutive use of Dragon Capture had made his qi fall to the ground. If he did not replenish his qi, he might not be able to even use his Flowering Knights' Song.

  Ding!

Happy wanted to ignore it, but when he saw the monk flee into the distance in a pathetic manner, he was taken aback and forgot to even stop him. He could only watch as the monk disappeared into the wind.

Happy frowned, then opened the system notification log and read the message.

[Faction Master Phoenix Dances in Beautiful Robes from Beautiful Robes Faction sent you a request to join Beautiful Robes Faction.]

Happy was caught off guard for a moment.

'Oh, it's a piece of news from that side, huh?'

A relieved expression appeared on his face. He thought about it and did not agree to the request immediately, but he did not reject it either. He only placed it by the side in his system notification log.

As of then, there were still some matters that he had left unfinished. He did not wish for the newly established Beautiful Robes Faction to be dragged into the mix.

He looked at the time. There was only an hour left before noon.

As long as he got through it, the items in the brocade box would belong to him. Happy naturally did not wish for any accidents to happen during the last hour.

When he returned to the peak of his condition, Happy stood up.

At that moment, dozens of figures had appeared at the cliff across him, which was slightly lower than the cliff at Punishment Mount.

Happy pushed qi to his eyes and looked around, only to discover that the player called Netherworld from Class One Hall was not in the group. It was unknown where he had gone to.

  "Have they given up?"

  Happy was a little disappointed.

He originally thought that his actions would have at least attracted some attention and curiosity from the internal members in Class One Hall, thereby pushing forward the time when that person would approach him.

No one knew just how badly Happy wanted to learn about that person's heart!

  Clang!

The clear sounds of iron chains dragged Happy away from his memories. He focused his attention and found that the people across the chasm seemed to know that there was a brocade box in Punishment Mount. They sensed how pressing was the time for them, and after a brief negotiation, someone volunteered to jump on the Iron Chain Bridge, causing the iron chains, which were never calm, to sway even more.

He was already far away from the cliff, and he had become even more cautious. Because of it, it would become even more difficult for him to control his body. Once the mountain gusts blew at him, he would find it hard to both advance and retreat.

If he could not even overcome this difficulty, how was he supposed to clear the area with the fog?

Just as Happy expected, the person who was the first to walk onto the chains soon felt the might of the mountain wind between the two mountains. The amplitude of the swaying of the iron chains suddenly increased, and his body was instantly flung off the chains.

That person still tried to hug the iron chain to preserve his life, but the other chain crashed into him from behind and knocked him down.

  "Ah!"

The shrill and terrified scream soon became weaker as the black dot that was the person became smaller. It fell to the bottom of the abyss.

One person might have died, but it did not dampen the d.e.s.i.r.e of the players on the cliff for the brocade box. After some commotion, a few people landed on Iron Chain Bridge.

They wanted to use the same method Netherworld had used.

Even though they did not look good while doing so, it was much easier for them to climb while hugging an iron chain. They could do so pretty quickly as well!

Soon, the dozens of players who wanted to seize Happy's brocade box cleared the area with the white fog!

The person in the lead looked up to see Happy sitting in a meditative position at the cliff, right where the iron chains come to an end. He used an extremely compassionate gaze that brought alarm and fear into their hearts to stare at them from above...

Chapter 145 - The Thought of Spreading His Wings Blooms

When dozens of people covered the iron chains, the added weight caused the amplitude of the oscillation of the iron chains to become much smaller. Everyone then cast their gazes on the blue-robed young man on the cliff.

The atmosphere stagnated. The players, one after another, stood up cautiously on the iron chains.

They knew that that particular stage was incredibly important if they wanted to snatch the brocade box!

Only around ten minutes were left before the storyline quest ended.

Whoever was able to take hold of the brocade box at the last moment would obtain the treasures inside it. Then, that person would have hope of soaring high in the game and showing their splendour!

The people all held their breaths.

  Whoosh Whoosh!

The aura that symbolized someone being in Blessed Realm rose around them under the vicious mountain gusts. All sorts of body fortification techniques made them even more s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e to every single flow of qi in the area.

As for Happy, who stood at the cliff, the mountain wind made his robes flutter. His expression did not change. He merely stared at the people before him from above while giving off the feeling that he could hold all of them back by himself!

  "Together!"

  "Charge!"

  "ARGH!"

Someone gave an order on the Iron Chain Bridge, and the players at the front row moved at the same time. They jumped high into the air from different directions and landed on the cliff like arrows shot from a bow.
/>   Twenty or so players jumped forward in an endless stream with a shocking momentum. They instantly drew close to Happy, who stood on the cliff. All of them understood one thing: If so many people attacked at the same time, it would be very easy for Happy to get distracted. It would just depend on who would be unlucky enough to get targeted by him.

  *****

Like a phantom, Netherworld appeared again on the cliff before the Iron Chain Bridge. He cast his eyes into the distance, and he was just in time to see dozens of people pounce on the cliff across from him in an endless stream. He could not help the cold sneer that appeared on his lips.

"Let's see how you'll handle this."

The players were lured over after Netherworld released the news that there was a brocade box on Punishment Mount.

After seeing just how strong Happy was, Netherworld immediately thought of using other people to whittle down Happy's strength and to create a chance for himself to fly across the Iron Chain Bridge. Then, when the reinforcements from Class One Hall arrived, he would not need to be worried that there would be someone who would block them from the brocade box at the end of the bridge.

Just when Netherworld wanted to jump down on the Iron Chain Bridge…

  Boom!

He sensed a wave of qi surge into the air!

A sharp, fierce, aggressive, and dark blue saber glare suddenly appeared on the cliff across from him, and it shone in a proud manner on the mountain!

From the angle at which Netherworld saw it, its might could shake the skies and earth. The twenty or so figures that were airborne froze in the air before being blown away like leaves by a violent gust of wind!

The twenty or so figures were thrown off the cliff…

Their screams were incredibly shrill, even as they became weaker with each passing second. They stunned Netherworld so much that he retracted his foot.
