After Phantasmal Shadow released the news, the people from the branches nearby practically rushed over from the cities in the south overnight. They were covered in dust, and there were more than two thousand of them. They were the ones who were the closest to the former Dragon Gate Inn.

On the other hand, Lovely Land, the current largest sect in the Chinese plains, did not send many people to be stationed at the ruins of the former Dragon Gate Inn. Only a small number of members were gathered in one area, and their number did not even amount to fifty people.

When they saw this, the people from Wind Assault Tower and the Chinese players sighed in relief because of it.

Even though Lovely Land currently played in an upright manner in the Chinese plains and were gentle to the other players because of the system Happy and Ji Feng implemented, many of the forces of power still did not want to stand against Lovely Land when it came to the competition of benefits.

In fact, even Wind Assault Tower as well as Phantasmal Shadow did not want to be in a stalemate with Wind Assault Tower, and they did not want to be hostile with them either.

Hence, this time, when the people saw that Lovely Land did not send any important people who could represent their sect and did not take the initiative to come into contact with the other people, they sighed in relief. They believed that it was because Happy was tied down by some other event and did not have the time to bother with this quest.

There were also people who believed that Lovely Land had decided to ignore the former Dragon Gate Inn because of the geography and environment.

Regardless of what reason it was, this was good news for them.

The Chinese players became at ease. Many people treated Wind Assault Tower as their top competitor.

To the west, the ones who were powerful were Persia's Brahmin Sect, the Mongolians' Dragon Elephant Sect, and some solo players from Thailand as well as Vietnam.

However, closer to the north from the west was a sand hill. Behind it were nearly one hundred men and women in yellow shirts and pants. The group's clothes were the same color as the desert, and from the distance, it was very difficult to distinguish these people from the sand.

These people did not hide in the shadows of the sand hill. Instead, they were exposed under the scorching sun, but none of them appeared to be impatient. They just let their sweat slide down their faces. They quietly closed their eyes and sat down or laid down. They were so quiet that it was terrifying.

  Whoosh…

After a long time had passed, a faint sound of wind being pushed away, along with the sound of sand rolling around rose in the wind.

The people on the sand hill—which resembled a basin—opened their eyes.

  Whoosh!

Their eyes were trained on a person dressed in dark yellow clothes. Their gazes were like arrows.

With just one glance, more of them had the cold look in their eyes fade away. They closed their eyes and went back to rest.

  "Good news."

The person entered the crowd swiftly and arrived in front of two men and two women. He pulled down the mask that helped him block off the wind and sand and revealed his face, which seemed like it was carved by knives. He spoke coldly and firmly, "Someone saw major movement from the east. It should be related to the desert palace."

If Happy were here, he would definitely be able to recognize the speaker.

He was an elite from Wild Wolves—Golden Rakkhasa.

The two men and two women in front of Golden Rakkhasa were also veterans from Wild Wolves. They were Peach Blossom and Immortal, the two people whose swords worked in perfect harmony, and Flame Wolf as well as Bloody Hell Saber.

  "What's the general situation?"

After missing for a few months, Golden Rakkhasa, Flame Wolf, and Bloody Hell Saber had now gained a bone-chillingly cold presence on them, and they also appeared to be level-headed. When Golden Rakkhasa heard this, he said these words coldly, "Class One Hall's spies have already confirmed that the Embroidered Uniform Guards have deployed a large number of their forces to surround a group of rebels who escaped from Dragon Gate Inn.

"Our quest is the desert palace. Do you actually think that a normal quest would require ninety-nine Wild Wolves to take the risk?" This time, the one who spoke was Immortal. Her cold voice was filled with a faint murderous tone. She also sounded as if she was rebuking him from the position of his superior.

Golden Rakkhasa frowned a little, but he did not fly off into a rage on the spot. He endured his anger and continued explaining.

"Based on the reports from Class One Hall's spies, the leader of the Embroidered Uniform Guards is Tsao Suiyan, a person who is in the dao of heaven. He has eighteen hidden guards with him, and there are thousands of Embroidered Uniform Guards who are tasked to surround the rebels. There are plenty of Myth Realm elites among them."

  "...And what does that mean?"

Even though Immortal still sounded cold, her tone was no longer as murderous as before. A strange tone had appeared in his voice.

Golden Rakkhasa's tone did not change.

"Among the rebels Cao Huaian leads, only two people are at the peak of Myth Realm, and there are only a few normal martial artists at Myth Realm. Even without Tsao Suiyan, the difference in strength between them is really great. Cao Huaian and his group will have a hard time escaping from their fate. If my guess is correct, something will happen over there."

When they heard this, the two men and two women exchanged a glance.

Flame Wolf said, "You have to understand, our goal this time is the treasure and secret of the desert palace. The leader will not allow us to put ninety-nine Wild Wolves into danger because of your guess."

"This might be the Chinese plains' territory, but don't forget, the only person who can pose as a threat to us is Happy and One Emperor, and these two people are not here right now! Are Wild Wolves going to be timid in whatever we do just because of one or two failures?"

Golden Rakkhasa could no longer hold back.

Flame Wolf retorted as calmly as usual, "Half a month ago, we lost Happy's tracks. How can you be certain that Happy is not in the desert?"

"If Happy never shows up, will that mean that Wild Wolves will have to hide forever?"

Golden Rakkhasa smiled coldly, "Since when has Wild Wolves become so cowardly?"

When they heard this, their expressions turned dark.

  "Rakkhasa!"

Peach Blossom could not hold back, she rebuked him. "The leader has his own considerations!"

"That's right," Bloody Hell Saber spoke as well. He scowled and spoke with a grave tone, "We've seen the battle replay between Happy and Evil King. Happy's strength is improving very quickly. Besides, Lovely Land and Wind Assault Tower did not send spies into each other's sects, even though we expected that they would. We don't have the chance to create conflict. Right now, the Chinese plains is united, and it's making it hard for Wild Wolves to do anything. If we aren't careful, once Wandering Know-it-all finds us, we'll definitely ruin the leader's plan."

  Golden Rakkhasa instantly fell silent.

"Even though there is something strange about the quest from Dragon Gate Inn, it's too far from us. It should not have anything to do with the desert palace. Rakkhasa, from now on, stay here quietly. I'll have someone else take your place in gathering information," Flame Wolf ordered.

However, just when he was prepared to have someone else take over, a messenger pigeon flew over.

The people around them opened their eyes again. Their gazes were gathered on the messenger pigeon from Flame Wolf.

  "Is it the leader's letter?"

Flame Wolf smoothly opened the letter. He read the contents, and his eyes shone. He quickly cast a glance at Golden Rakkhasa, who sat by the side loathfully. He said, "Rakkhasa! It's the leader's orders!"

Golden Rakkhasa was stunned. Then, he heard an order that brought him great delight.

"Bring thirty of us to Dragon Gate Inn immediately. At the same t
ime, find the spy from Class One Hall and tell him…" When he said this, he moved his lips, but no sound could be heard from him.

As Flame Wolf passed his message through the private voice transmission system, Golden Rakkhasa's eyes lit up.

"I told you that there's something fishy about that side! I was right, isn't it?! Haha!" As he laughed, Golden Rakkhasa jumped into the air excitedly. In high spirits, he chose a group of people and went over the sand hills so that they could head to Dragon Gate Inn, which was not too far away.

Flame Wolf and the others got up and watched Golden Rakkhasa leave with the group.

Immortal was finally unable to push down the curiosity in her heart.

"Doesn't the leader have any orders for us?"

"Of course he does… The leader said that once the people from Dragon Gate Inn become agitated by us, we are to constantly pay attention to Tiger Soul's movements. The leader also said that we are not to lose this ancient weapon!"

Chapter 1193 - The Fierce Nature of Tiger Soul

"Big Brother Thunder. Big Brother Thunder…"

There was a quicksand pit right ahead of the former Dragon Gate Inn. In it was a thin man with four people in black robes standing behind him, He looked around the area in boredom. There were plenty of sand diggers around him hard at work. Suddenly, he ran to a pit that had a diameter that was more than sixty feet wide.

  "Don't come here!"

"We've just dug out this amount of sand, and you brought them in again!"

When the Lovely Land members in the pit saw the young man run over, they were so terrified that they quickly yelled at him to stop moving.

If they let this boy run over, the quicksand would collapse once more, and their efforts for the past two hours would be in vain.

"Stop digging! Big Brother Thunder… Big Brother Thunder!"

"I don't care that you're not working, but why are you constantly causing trouble…?"

Thunderous Battle was among the sand diggers. He stopped whatever he was doing and revealed a face and c.h.e.s.t that had become tanned. When he saw how anxious Little North was, he stared at him in shock. "Brat, talk while you walk! The sand is flowing in! Don't come here! If you have something to say, send a private message over!"

When he managed to stop Little North from coming here, Thunderous Battle looked at the quicksand pit around him, and he felt incredibly satisfied.

After they worked hard for half a day, they were finally able to get rid of all the sand from the second floor and the first floor. Now, with just a bit more effort, they would be able to clear this place that seemed like a hall off of sand. Even though their progress was rather slow, they believed that in just a while, they would be able to find the clues as to how the people in the dao of heaven had vanished from this place.

The desert palace was their motivation for coming to the desert.

Happy's fortuitous events and his success after he went through life and death situations caused Thunderous Battle, Little North, and the others to turn into hot-blooded youths. They did not care what sort of dangers were in the desert palace. They wanted to enter the place without turning back.

Besides, the truth showed that the desert palace was not the only one that posed as a great temptation to them. After the former Dragon Gate Inn was buried by the black sandstorm, many players tried to use the most uncouth method to search for the palace buried under the desert.

When he thought of this, Thunderous Battle jumped out of the pit.

  "Big Brother Thunder, water!"

Little North had been a player who loved playing solo, but after the events at Song House, he joined Thunderous Battle's party, and he was currently their lackey. When he saw Thunderous Battle coming over, he immediately brought out a bag of water from his Universe Bag to him.

"Brat… why didn't you stay up there quietly? What sort of 'top secret' did you manage to get this time?" Thunderous Battle glared at Little North in resigned frustration.

"Heh heh…" Little North quickly gave him an obsequious smile. "Thunderous Battle, listen to yourself! This time, I definitely got myself a top secret."

Since he was absolutely against the idea of digging out sand to clear out Dragon Gate Inn, Little North was sent out by Thunderous Battle to be in charge of serving as their sentry and to search for information, but he was really just thinking about sending Little North out for show, because there was really no information to dig out or any need for them to have a sentry in the desert.

But over this period of time, Little North had been making a fuss after he gained the order from Thunderous Battle. He ran about everywhere and went to all sorts of places like a fearless cub. He went to the groups who were well-informed to get information.

The forces of power from everywhere were originally very wary, and when they talked to each other, they would not let anyone get the chance to approach them. They would either show hostility when a person was still in the distance, or they would just draw their weapons and kill those who invaded their territory.

  But it was strange.

When Little North, the idiot, had run a few circles from the east to the west, and he went past several organizations or foreign forces of power famous for being hot-tempered and did not have a good reputation. Even so, he never received any warning, and he was not targeted either. Forget about being attacked, he did not even receive any hostile gazes.

Little North naturally did not understand. He just ran around in circles and went closer to them. In fact, he would even stand right in front of them with a bashful look on his face.

Thunderous Battle and his group were terrified when they saw this, but they had no way of warning the boy.

Based on their experience, Little North should have been cut into pieces and thrown out.

After pondering over it for a long time, the group decided to attribute this to Lovely Land's current great reputation, which also made them really intimidating.

One, Lovely Land had chased away Wild Wolves and destroyed Class One Hall, thereby bringing peace to the Chinese plains. Two, One Emperor had currently led his troops to enter the countries in West Region. Wild Wolves was smacked around, and anyone with some sense in them would not dare to engage in any sort of conflict with Lovely Land at this moment.

But they did not know that Little North was currently rather famous in West Region as well.

In the replay of the battle in Song House, Corpse Controller Little North had sat beside Happy, and he received the same treatment as Silver Wolf. Quite a number of players had already remembered his name and face.

The Chinese players were not the only ones who knew him. Quite a number of foreign factions also knew that there was an impulsive boy in the game who feared nothing.

Any person with some semblance of wit would not offend Lovely Land for something as small as this.

As for those who did not know who Little North was, when they saw how tolerant the others were of him, those who were rather calculative would understand what they needed to do.

When Thunderous Battle and his group saw how successful Little North was in going about the area, they were happy to just ignore him, and they let him do whatever he wanted.

But Thunderous Battle would not let the boy come back to bother them.

"Tell me. What news did you get this time?"

Thunderous Battle did not want to make Little North feel as if he was isolated in the group because he was young, which was why he set aside his work for the time being and came over. But he did not believe that Little North would be able to get any sort of information through this method.

"Big Brother Thunder, I'm not lying to you this time. The treasure in the palace has already been dug out. Right now, the news about it has spread through the entire desert. Many people have already received the news, and they're getting ready to move out to the place where the treasure is."

The words that came out of Little North's mouth scared Thunderous Battle.

  He c.o.c.ked h
is eyebrows. "What did you say?"

As he spoke, Thunderous Battle saw the people who were gathered around the former Dragon Gate Inn had started showing signs of scattering like sand.

A quarter of the people who were positioned all around the area of the inn had actually started moving east…

Also, it was just as Little North said, many of the people to the east and west were incredibly excited, and they were behaving unusually. They no longer stayed where they were in a relaxed fashion. Instead, they looked eastward. Some of them even moved there.

At that moment, the tens of thousands of people in the desert showed signs of heading east.

  "How could this be?"

"I heard that there was quite a ruckus to the east just now!" As if Thunderous Battle had not just been shocked that his labor for half a day had just gone to waste, Little North explained tentatively by the side, "A few thousand Embroidered Uniform Guards have started fighting against a group of people in the dao of heaven there. They're all fighting for the treasure that was brought out of the desert palace!"

Thunderous Battle looked as if he had not heard what Little North said.

  "Big Brother Thunder?"

Little North called out to him softly.

Then, Thunderous Battle snapped out of his daze.

"That's strange, I received news about the Embroidered Uniform Guards as well, but they seem to be pretty far away. Who would send that information to the desert…? Brothers and sisters, stop digging. The treasure of the desert palace is not here. Pack up. We need to move."

Even though Thunderous Battle felt incredibly gloomy and frustrated, he did not lose the vigilance and sense of danger that he should have. While he called out to his friends to stop working, he did not forget about trying to figure out where the news came from.

"I heard that there are a few people in the dao of heaven over there. Perhaps the people near that place know that they can't handle it, which is why they sent the information over."

Thunderous Battle frowned and thought about it for a moment before he nodded. Little North had thought that it was only natural for those people to ask for help, but it was a plausible answer.
