  Sebastian chuckled. “You don’t really have to ask for time off.”

  “Technically I’m contracted to work with you for the Zhao account until every detail has been settled. So yes, I do.”

  “Just tell me you’re going to visit your Mom. I’m not going to stop you, hell, you deserve the time off and I’m sure she’ll be thrilled to see you again.”

  Liam snorted. “Well, I kind of figured you wouldn’t care, but that’s not the favor.”

  “Okay, you planning on spitting the actual favor out anytime soon or am I supposed to guess?”

  Liam continued to worry his lip until finally spitting out. “Would you go with me?”

  Sebastian blinked, confused. “You want me to…go with you to your mother’s?”

  Liam nodded. “I know we haven’t really been officially dating for too long but, she knows about us and I know she’d be thrilled to meet you. She never liked Oscar, for good reason, and I want her to finally get the chance to meet a man I’m seeing and know that I’ll be okay. She’ll love you.”

  “You want me, to meet your mother?” Sebastian repeated.

  “Is it…too much?” Liam asked slowly.

  Sebastian drew him into his arms, kissing him fiercely. How Liam could ever think Sebastian would think Liam wanting to take another step forward would ever be too much was beyond Sebastian. Anything Liam wanted, anything that brought them closer to their future together, Sebastian would be more than happy to walk beside Liam the whole way through.

  Sebastian broke the kiss, breathing deep. “Would you say it’s too much for me to tell you I love you?”

  Liam’s nerves disappeared in the most beautiful smile Sebastian had ever seen. “Be a bit stupid when I love you as well.”

  Forget the deal with Zhao he’d always wanted, and forget never having to worry about Tyler Diesel trying to ruin his life again. Nothing in Sebastian’s life would beat the moment he heard Liam share those three little words with him. Not even flying on his dragon’s wings had made him feel he was soaring quite as much as he was then.

  Liam was at his side, and Sebastian needed nothing else.
