Ex-Con Alpha

  “Just you?”

“Yes. I took all the blame to protect them.”

“How long were you in prison?”

“Five years. It could have well been longer, but there were some issues with the chain of evidence and witnesses.”

  “I see.”

“I wanted to tell you, but we hardly knew one another, and it didn’t seem like something I should reveal so early on. Then, things just went into overdrive. I’m telling you now, before it goes any further, so you can decide if you really want to be involved with an ex-con.”

“Well, it’s not exactly something I’m thrilled to hear. Are you still into that sort of thing?”

“No. Absolutely not, and neither are they. Our Alpha read the riot act to them after I went down for it, and I was only allowed back in when I came out because I had protected my pack.”

“Okay. Anything else I need to know?”

  “I got fired today.”

  “What?” she gasped. “Why?”

Travis told her what had happened, including the last bit about Vivianne’s health. She nodded solemnly. He could tell it touched her as it had him.

“Okay. I can live with that,” she said finally.

Travis breathed a sigh of relief.

“I’m glad. I don’t want to think about living life without you.”

“I guess we best enjoy this hotel room while we can. We’re going to be on a tight budget with just my income from massages.”

“Well, that’s the best part. We have the room until the end of the week, and I got a hefty severance package. I can go ahead and get a head start on my plans, plus have enough left over to help you if you still need it.”

“No. I’ve got the money for Mike covered. It’s sitting in my account.”

“That’s good. Hopefully, it can stay there, or you can just give it back to pay off your loan.”

“Oh, no. Mom covered it. It’s Mike’s unused college fund.”

  “Your dad agreed to that?”

  “No,” she said.

  “Yikes.”

  “Pretty much.”

“Alright, let’s get your wayward brother and check on my guys. You can see my house and how miserably I have lived without you.”

  “A real palace, huh?”

“Ah, it’s not terrible. It’s my mom’s old place, but it could stand some freshening up, perhaps a woman’s touch.”

  “This sounds interesting.”

“Oh, the interesting has only just begun,” he said with a smile.

Travis couldn’t remember the last time he had felt this happy. It felt fantastic. They still had a long while to go, but this was good. This was really good. Even the discussion about prison had gone way better than he had expected. He had no doubt she’d have questions later, but she hadn’t freaked out over it or anything, so that was a positive.

They made their way to his place and found Mike sitting at his kitchen table, playing cards with the pack members that had replaced the ones who had brought him there. They all jumped up when he entered. Mike broke out in a broad smile when he saw Kat appear through the door behind him.

  “Katerina!”

“Thank God you’re okay,” she groaned, walking over and hugging him. Immediately, she pulled back and punched him in the arm, catching everyone, including him, off guard.

  “Ouch! What was that for?”

“Everything. You broke Mom and Dad’s house and then ran off. I visited almost every sleazy neighborhood drug dealer in the county looking for you, and then I get a call that you owe some thugs thousands of dollars or they are going to end you.”

“Yeah. I’m sorry about that. Thank fuck these guys came for me.”

“You can thank Travis for that,” she told him.

“I will. Thank you, Travis,” he said, looking over her shoulder.

“It looks like you got lucky this time. They saved you from whatever those bears would have done to you when I couldn’t come up with so much money on a Sunday, and, so far, the rest of their pack don’t seem terribly upset by the loss.”

“You should have seen it, Kat. These guys went in there and tore into them before they even had a chance to know what was happening. I was just as freaked out as they were. I thought it was some sort of rival gang action.”

“I don’t want to hear about the gore,” she said, waving her hand dismissively. “What I want to hear about is how you’ve had enough of this nonsense and are ready to go get some help.”

“Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. I’ll stay clear of those sorts from now on.”

“I’m using the money these guys saved us by cleaning up your mess to put you in rehab,” she told him.

“Now, let’s not be too quick on that rehab stuff. I can get myself straight.”

“You can’t. You’ve proven that. Let’s go to your apartment, pack some things, and get you somewhere.”

“I uh, don’t have an apartment or things,” he replied.

  “What?”

“I got evicted weeks ago, and my things were left outside the door. They got stolen.”

“Lovely. That’s lovely, Mike. Where have you been staying?”

  “Here and there.”

“Nevermind. I don’t want to know. Come on. We brought some food.”

Travis sat the bag of burgers and fries on the table. The three men descended on them. Travis hadn’t considered how little food he had left in the house when he’d gone to the hotel. They’d been living on peanut butter sandwiches and water from the tap since they arrived, though the guys who had left earlier had promised to drop them off some groceries later on.

“I’ll show you around while they eat,” Travis said, taking Kat on a quick tour of the house. It wasn’t very big, no more than a large cabin. His mother had moved into it after his father died and they were all grown, so she hadn’t needed a lot of space.”

“It’s not bad. It’s bigger than my place, but you’re right. It could use some fresh paint and a few repairs.”

  “You offering?”

“I’m offering to help,” she corrected.

“I can live with a bit of help, especially from you,” he said, cornering her in his bedroom and kissing her.

“As much as I’d like to be tossed across that bed and devoured, I need to get that oversized man child in the next room sorted out. You up for a little trip up the coast?”

  “Up the coast?”

  “Briarview,” she replied.

  “You think he’ll go.”

“Yes. I just need to have a private chat with him.”

“Okay,” Travis shrugged, letting her lead back out to the front room.

Less than thirty minutes later, they were on their way to the rehab facility with Mike sitting in the back seat, sullenly looking out the window.

  CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR

  Kat

Kat walked into the studio and hugged Travis from behind: at least she tried. Her increasing girth prevented her from even getting close enough to get her arms completely around him. Still, she did the best she could.

“How’s my little penguin today?” he laughed, turning around to face her.

  “Round,” she replied.

“Adorably so,” he teased, leaning down to kiss her on the cheek.

It had been a mere six months since they had found one another on Alpha Meets Omega, and here they were, expecting their first litter together and making plans for a wedding soon afterward. Mike moved into her old house beside their parents once he was released from rehab and was doing well, though their dad kept a close eye on him and got him a job with one of his friends that kept him busy for long hours and prevented him from seeking out trouble.

“I think that if you played your cards just right, you might be able to have your way with me.”

“I don’t know. Someone seems to have already had quite a way with you.”

“I know, right? And here I was planning not to have children for at least another decade.”

/>   “How’s that plan working out?” he laughed.

“Perfectly,” she told him, placing a hand on her beach ball belly, and smiling.

“Well, I guess there is no danger of you getting pregnant if you are already in that condition, so why not?”

Travis put down the metal he had been preparing and allowed her to escort him from the large garage-like structure he had built and back toward the house. Even a month ago, they would have fucked right there on the concrete, or he’d have bent her over one of the worktables, but her current condition limited their sex life.

Still, feeling him inside of her when she was all swollen and tender from the pregnancy was amazing. He took his time undressing her, maintaining eye contact as he peeled away the layers of clothing she was wearing to reveal her full breasts and round belly. A lot of women might feel unattractive when they were pregnant, but Travis made her feel like the most desirable woman in the world with the way he doted on her pregnant body.

Kat tossed a blanket across the sofa and sat down, watching Travis as he undressed and lay down on the sofa beside her, his body reclined slightly across hers as he kissed her and fondled her tender breasts. His fingers wrapped around a single nipple and pumped it between them, sending out a light squirt of milk. His mouth enveloped the remaining breast, slowly suckling at it before latching on and pulling at her milk.

She felt it in her center as the milk let down and began to flow into his mouth, his powerful jaws sucking at her painfully full breast until it was emptied, giving her some relief from the discomfort while also creating a sensation in her core that made her want him even more. She purred against him, watching as he sucked at her remaining tit until he had emptied it, as well.

He pulled her head down toward his, kissing her with the taste of her breast milk still on his tongue. It was sweet and sticky and sharing it with him this way was a huge turn on that she’d never known existed until he’d begun helping her ease the pain of her milk-laden breasts. He was careful not to put pressure on her stomach as they pressed together at the top but allowed some space between their lower halves.

He let his lips trail across her skin as he nibbled on her neck, something he knew she loved, and then sat up on the sofa beside her. She could see that he was rock hard, but rather than being greedy for him to be inside her, she shifted to kneel on a cushion in front of him, pushing his powerful legs apart and slowly dragging her tongue across the heavy head of his cock.

He moaned and leaned back, letting her do what she wanted. She took her time, teasing him with her tongue and mouth, alternately swirling her tongue around the tip of his cock and sucking it into her mouth as he dug his hands into the sofa on either side of him. She moved on to licking the length of him, cupping his balls in her hands as she sucked his cock with the expertise she had gained in the months since they’d first met.

It was hard to think back to the innocent virgin who had first gone out on a date with a stranger and passed out afterward. She had changed into a very sexual creature who couldn’t get enough of the gorgeous Alpha wolf in front of her. She loved everything they shared and knew there was so much more they would do together in the years to come.

“I’m going to come,” he protested as she began sliding up and down the length of him, swallowing every last inch of his impressive cock.

She felt torn. She wanted to please him, wanted to make him come, but she was so horny right now. She wasn’t even sure that the rut had anything on pregnancy hormones. Rather than letting him fill her throat, she stood and turned around, positioning herself above him and letting him guide her down onto his waiting cock.

A moan escaped her throat as he sank into her swollen pussy, pushing her puffy pink center apart and burying himself to the hilt. His hands rested on her hips, guiding her as she slowly rode him up and down, her own hand teasing her clit as she orgasmed with barely a touch. She was so sensitive right now that she could come with very little effort, but not like the powerful explosions he created inside her. Her body bumped up and down against him, riding him as he groaned loudly beneath her.

“Your pussy is so fucking warm and swollen around my cock. It’s like fucking a cloud,” he gasped, his fingers digging into her hips as she rode him.

“Harder,” she begged, letting him guide her down onto him with his hands. He pulled her down hard, his cock splitting her open until she couldn’t hold back anymore and was flooding his cock with an orgasm that sent her into a scream as it built up and shattered against him.

“Fuck. I’m coming too,” he grunted, his hips bucking upwards toward hers as his cum coated the pink velvet pregnant walls of her pussy.

They sat there for a moment. Though there was no knot while she was pregnant, she still enjoyed those moments when they just remained as one, enjoying the afterglow of their lovemaking. After a bit, she stood, smiling as the flood of their cumulative orgasms dripped down her thigh in a sticky river that clung to her skin.

“How about a bath?” Travis asked, standing up beside her and leaning down to kiss her softly on the lips.

  “Sounds like perfection,” she replied.

There were a lot of women that believed too many baths would give you infections or that you couldn’t bathe while you were pregnant. In fact, she would probably be one of them if not for the counseling of her doctor and her mother, who assured her neither thing was true. It was a relief, as the tub had helped her through many sore and achy days. Some from just being pregnant and some from being unable to keep her hands off of Travis.

  “I’ll start the water.”

She smiled and followed him to the bathroom, laying out towels and dropping a bath bomb in the water he was running. He frowned at it and looked up at her.

“It’s okay. It’s just salts and soap, no fragrance. You’re not going to smell like a girl.”

“I better not. I’m still trying to live down my last client telling me I smelled like a Japanese geisha cherry blossom.”

“They should be used to artists with weird habits,” she laughed.

“I’m an Alpha first. It’s unusual enough to find an Alpha doing art, but one that smells like a Japanese hooker is another matter.”

“Geishas are not hookers,” she protested. “They are so much more than that, and none of that.”

“You know what I mean,” he laughed.

“Yes, I know what you mean. How’s your new piece going, by the way?”

“It’s good. I should have it completed and installed by the end of the month.”

“Really? That’s fantastic. Where is it going? Do you know? You said the original offer was from an anonymous source.”

“Yes. It’s going in front of Governor Wilson’s house.”

  “Why would that be secretive?”

“I’m not sure. I think he just wanted to reduce the chances of his wife finding out about it before he was ready for it to go up. I’ve been on a deadline to get it done so I can get it installed while she is away for a few days visiting family in Wisconsin.”

“That’s going to really put you out there, you know?”

“Maybe. I won’t count my chickens before they hatch.”

“Isabella Wilson is a society darling. If she has an original sculpture from you, then her society gals will want one, as well.”

  “I guess we will see.”

“I guess we certainly will,” she replied, taking his hand as he extended it to help her into the bath. Once she was settled in, he climbed in behind her, snuggling up as she sat in the warm water and enjoyed what she considered to be just another bonus in her life: baths with her beloved.

  CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE

  Travis

Travis was in a dead sleep when Kat awakened him with loud shouts that didn’t quite register in his hazy brain. It took a moment to realize that she was up and doubled over on one side of the bed. He sprang across her side and joined her, already feeling panicked.

The doctor had warned them that so many t
hings could go wrong. With her condition and the shots it took to keep it under control, she was a higher risk pregnancy, though she had been able to continue the shots without any harm to the babies themselves.

“I’m having contractions, and I think my water just broke.”

Travis looked down, just now aware of the puddle about her feet on the hardwood floor. This was the moment they’d been waiting on. He helped her over to a chair and sat her down, helping her out of her wet things and into dry clothes before retrieving the case they had packed for the hospital. His heart was racing. This was it. This was it! They were about to be parents.

Hurrying out to her car, he tossed the bag in the trunk and went back to retrieve her from the house, helping her down the steps and into the passenger seat. She made calls while he drove, first to the doctor to let him know they were on their way, then to her parents, and finally, to Mike.

“Slow down, Travis. We’ve got plenty of time. I don’t want to end up giving birth in a wrecked car on the side of the road.”

“Are you saying I’m a bad driver?” he teased.

“I’m saying you are driving too fast, and I would like to make it to the hospital in one piece.”

  “Fine.”

Travis slowed down a bit, his nerves screaming at him to hurry up while Kat’s little voice remained on his other shoulder telling him to take it easy. He tried to listen to her and keep it under the speed limit, but it felt like forever to get to the doctor’s office, where family and the midwife would join them.

After the long trek, they finally arrived, pulling up alongside the midwife, Theresa. The doctor met them on the front porch, with Travis on one side and Theresa on the other, helping her walk through another contraction that hit halfway across the front sidewalk. Travis was relieved when they had her inside and up on the table safely.

Time seemed to crawl by as the contractions grew close together and the midwife kept track of measurements and progress, making periodic announcements to the room to keep everyone informed on how close things were getting. Finally, she said the words that both relieved and terrified Travis.
