Janae pecks my lips and presses her hand against my chest, slowly walking me backwards. She opens her car door and I suddenly snap into focus. I help her get in and then sprint around to the driver’s side.
As soon as I pull out of the parking lot, I place my hand on the inside of her thigh and grip it tightly. She intakes a sharp breath and her thighs twitch open. I smile as I glide my hand up her dress and cup her center. Janae moans and thrusts her hips forward. I drive fast, basically temping every cop to pull me over, but I’m slow and methodical with my hand between her thighs. I tease on the outside and inside of her thong, increasing her breathing, moans, and warm slick. She becomes so wet that I can barely keep my fingers where I want them. As we’re pulling up my driveway, she cums with a loud scream and her body bucks and spasms as she rides out the aftershocks.
“Oh, fuck, honey, that was so good.”
I give her a quick kiss on the cheek and run around to her side. I help her out of the car and as soon as the door closes, she engages me an amazing kiss. We fumble through the garage to the interior door to go inside, and as we reach the foyer, we trip and awkwardly stumble to the floor. We laugh for only a moment before our passion takes us over again and we begin to kiss and Janae pulls me over to lay on top of her.
I need to get her to the bedroom. I need to be naked with her. I pull her up from the floor and while I kiss and suck her neck, I lead her backwards up the hall. Janae moves my hand between her thighs and I immediately drop to my knees to fulfill her need. I ride my hands up the backs of her thighs, grip her bare ass cheeks, at the same time that I duck under the skirt of her dress. I pull her soaked lace against my mouth and Janae releases a long quiet burring moan. She grabs my head and bends her knees as if she’s going to lay down in the hallway, but I grip her ass hard and shuffle forward, encouraging her to keep moving back towards my suite.
She takes a few weak steps, but as I start nibbling her clit through the thin saturated fabric, she screams and hunches forward. Her strength gives out and I help her lay down, but I’m determined to get us to the bedroom. I pull her thighs up over my shoulders and push forward, crawling on my knees while I’m still face deep between her thighs. She gasps and moans and writhes with each foot of distance I push through.
“Oh, shit.”
I quickly look up to see Carrie standing in the entrance to the kitchen holding an open bottle of beer and a bowl of popcorn. She blushes bright red and her eyes tear up as she sets the items on the counter and sprints around us. I quickly fix Janae’s dress and jump off of the floor.
“Carrie, wait!”
I catch her at the bottom of the stairs and she falls into my embrace gripping the backs of my shoulders tightly and lays her head on my shoulder.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to parade that in front of you. I just got lost in the moment.”
“It’s your house; you can do what you want. I’m just going to find someplace to stay for the night so you don’t…”
“No, please don’t leave. Please. I’m sorry.”
She slowly lifts her head off of my shoulder and meets my eyes with her pretty green eyes glistening with emotion. She takes a deep breath and lifts a shaking hand to fix my hair.
“Ok, I won’t leave.”
“Thank you.”
I lean in to kiss her cheek, but she leans back and places her hand on my chin, holding me back. Carrie awkwardly looks over to where Janae had been laying, but she’s not here anymore. She gives me a sad sort of smile and takes a step back.
“Why did you push me away?”
“Where did you just have your mouth, Jack?”
“Oh, right, sorry. Are we good?”
“Yes, I’m not going anywhere. Go.”
She pushes on my shoulder, encouraging me to head to my suite. I resist the gentle pressure and wrap my arms around her. She sighs as she lays on my shoulder and runs her hands up and down my back for a moment.
“Thank you for staying. I love you. I’m sorry I’m hurting you.”
“I’ll be ok, Jack. Please, go now.”
I squeeze her once and then quickly walk away. I feel terrible that I got lost in my passion like that and just slid right under her with my face between Janae’s thighs. I wasn’t thinking about anything except pleasuring Janae. I’m going to have to be more careful. I really don’t want to lose Carrie. I love her and I love having her as a friend.
As I enter my bedroom, I release a small moan and immediately start stripping. Janae is laying on the center of my bed completely naked. As I climb up the bed, she parts her thighs and grabs the back of my head, pulling me in firmly against her soaking wet bowl of sweet nectar. After a few minutes, she bursts with a screaming moan and firmly grips my hair to pull my head back, ending my hungry worship of her.
“Oh, fuck, baby. You are going to turn me into a sex addict. That was… There are no words.”
I kiss the insides of her thighs and rest my chin on my folded hands laying on her soft stomach.
“Is everything ok with Carrie?”
“Yes. She thought she should leave, but I asked her to stay. Is that ok with you?”
“Yes. Let me up, honey. I’m going to go talk to her.”
“Why?”
She giggles as she sits up and pats my cheek. “I want to apologize for losing control.”
“So, I guess I should stay here?”
“Yes, I want to talk to her alone.”
“Ok.”
I roll over onto my back so she can get up and I watch her walk to my dresser to help herself to some clothes.
“Damn, you’re gorgeous.”
Janae laughs in a happy way and after pulling my tee shirt on, she runs and leaps onto the bed to straddle my hips. She firmly kisses my lips, cheeks, forehead, and the sides of my neck.
“Ok, I’ll be right back, then I’m going to make you scream.” I swallow hard as panic surges in my chest. She must see the panic on my face because she laughs and kisses my lips again. “You are so fucking adorable. Ok, I’ll be back.”
Chapter Thirty-Six
While Janae mixes batter for pancakes, I stay wrapped around her from behind with my head on her shoulder and my lips pressed against her warm cocoa skin.
“Can you get a lemon and the blueberries out of the fridge for me?”
“No. I want to stay right here.”
“You can come right back. Get moving, sweetie.”
I give her neck a firm bite before I release her. I grab the requested items from the fridge and immediately wrap my arms around her again. She laughs and reaches back to tickle my side.
“Ok, shuffle us over to the sink.”
Without releasing her waist, and while still nibbling her neck, we stumble over to the sink. She rinses the blueberries really well, then scrubs the lemon with her nails and hot water.
“Bring me back to my bowl.”
We repeat our stumbling shuffle and I watch her zest the lemon into the pancake batter. Then she cuts the lemon in half and juices it into a clear glass bowl through a fine metal mesh strainer. She adds a small amount of heavy cream, a pinch of salt, real maple syrup, and then some powered sugar, making a fragrant glaze for the pancakes. She coats the tip of her pinky and offers it to me to sample. I firmly suck her finger clean and moan around the sweet and slightly tart glaze.
“Oh, wow, that’s amazing. Can I pour that over you?”
She caresses my cheek with a grin. “Maybe another time.”
Janae turns in my embrace and puckers her lips. I eagerly accept the invitation and she gives me an incredible slow kiss. Her hands firmly ride up my back, digging into my shoulder muscles, and then she scrapes her nails over my head, through my short buzz cut. Heat erupts in my chest, causing me to release a small sound into her mouth. I grab her ass, and she laughs as she pulls back.
“Control, honey. I’m making breakfast.”
“We have ten years to make up for. Breakfast can wait.”
She laughs h
ard and playfully bites the top of my breast. “We have the rest of our lives to love on each other. But we need food to be able to fuel our love.”
“Good point. Ok, what can I do?”
“Go see if Carrie is awake so I know if I should cook enough for her.”
“Ok.”
I take two steps at a time as I jog upstairs. I peek my head in the open door of Carrie’s bedroom, but it’s empty, so I walk down the hall to her bathroom and lean against the open doorframe.
“Good morning.”
“Jack! I’m naked!”
She scrambles to grab a towel and cover herself, which makes me laugh hard. She scowls at me with bright red cheeks and walks over to slap my shoulder.
“Stop laughing at me.”
“I’m sorry, but I’ve been all over that body. Why did you freak out when I walked in?”
“Because, we broke up. You’re not allowed to see me naked anymore. Anyway, what do you want?”
“Janae and I are making breakfast. I came to see if you’re hungry and if you’ll eat with us.”
“What are you making?”
“Well, I’m kind of just watching – you know that’s my specialty.”
She laughs and turns back to the vanity to continue getting ready for the day with her towel tightly wrapped around her.
“Yeah, I know. So, what is Janae making?”
“Blueberry pancakes with this amazing lemon maple glaze, maple sausages, and scrambled eggs.”
“Sounds good. I’ll be down in about ten minutes. Can you make me a cup of coffee too?”
“Yeah, sure. So, uh, how did you sleep?”
“Is that your way of asking me if I heard you last night?”
I laugh as my face spreads into a huge happy smile. “No, but did you?”
“No. I slept ok, I guess.”
“Are you going to work today?”
“Yes. I’m closing, so I’ll be home after four. Ok, go away so I can finish getting ready.”
I smile and give her a tight hug from behind. She gives me a content smile in the mirror, which makes me really happy. I kiss her cheek, and then leave her alone.
I jog downstairs and throw myself around Janae, picking her up in my arms. She giggles and kisses my smiling lips.
“Hi, sweetie. Was Carrie awake?”
“Yeah, she’ll be down in about ten minutes. Do you have to go to the bakery today?”
“Nope, I’m all yours today. What do you want to do?”
“Anything. I just want to be with you all day.”
“We will be. Now, let me finish breakfast.”
“Ok, babe.”
While Janae works on the food, I pull plates and flatware out to be ready. Then I get to work brewing each of us a cup of coffee.
Carrie walks into the kitchen as the last mug is finishing and pulls it off of the coffee maker with a grin before she walks out of the kitchen to sit on a stool on the other side of the counter.
“Breakfast smells good.”
Janae glances over at her as she’s flipping pancakes. “Thank you.”
“Can I ask you something?”
“Sure.”
“How did you meet?”
“Jack hasn’t told you that yet?”
Carrie shakes her head as she takes a sip of coffee. “No, it hasn’t come up before.”
“I met her through my grandmother on my dad’s side. My grandmother owned a bakery that I worked at in Seminole Heights. Jack came into the bakery to order a cake for a friend’s birthday party, and my grandmother brought her back to her office to work out the details on the cake she wanted, which literally only took five minutes. But Jack ended up sitting in there talking to my grandmother for over two hours. Jack started coming into the bakery everyday for a snack and just to talk to my grandmother. When it was time to deliver the birthday cake, my grandmother insisted on me doing it, which was the first time I actually met her. Jack lived in a different house at the time, but it was still huge, and when I pulled into the driveway, I thought my grandmother had gotten the address wrong. I sat in the bakery van trying to reach my grandmother to have her double check the address, but she wasn’t answering the phone. Jack came out and tapped on my window with a silly grin on her face, which made me laugh. She helped me get the boxes in the house, and while she watched me assemble it…”
“Assemble it? What kind of cake was it?”
“She ordered a monstrosity. It was several round cakes at different heights that were connected by a kid’s toy race track with loops in it. The cake on the end had a ring to light on fire for a car to fly through when it was time to serve the cake. The girl it was for was an amateur race car driver.”
“That sounds awesome. So, did Jack flirt with you?”
“Of course.” Janae laughs and pinches my side before setting the plates down on Carrie’s side of the counter so we can eat. “Jack was adorable. She didn’t realize at first that I’m Joan Marie’s granddaughter. She was going on and on about how amazing my grandmother is and how much she loves her for about twenty minutes. When I told her, she said, ‘marry me’. I laughed so hard I almost knocked the cake over. She convinced me to stay for the party and she didn’t leave my side for nothing and we talked all night. It came out in conversation with some of her friends that Jack doesn’t date so I was pretty disappointed, but she had infected me like she had my grandmother, so we became best friends pretty quickly.”
“That’s a cute story. These pancakes are really good.”
“Thank you.”
“So, uh, I…” Carrie blushes as she pushes her eggs around on her plate. I place a hand on her shoulder, and she slowly looks up at me with a sad smile before looking at Janae. “I thought about your offer to move into the house that Jack bought you. I really appreciate the offer, but I think I would feel like it’s your place. I’ll just have to save up to get an apartment.”
“I’ll buy you a house. If you don’t want to live here anymore, I’ll respect that. I don’t want us to drift apart, but I don’t want to be selfish and make you uncomfortable either.”
“You don’t have to buy me a…”
“I want to. You’re my family.”
Carrie’s eyes mist over and she wraps her arms around me. She kisses my cheek and lays her head on my shoulder.
“Let me think about it. I’m not sure if I’m ready to leave yet.”
“Ok. Just know I’m here for you, for anything.”
“Thank you.”
Carrie releases me and picks up her fork again. Janae runs her hand over my head and gives the back of my neck a quick pinch, as if to comfort me without making things awkward for Carrie.
We finish eating in silence, and as I stand up to put my dirty dishes in the dishwasher, Carrie also stands with her plate so I take it from her.
“I’ll take care of it.”
“Ok, thanks. I’ll see you later. Bye, Janae. Thanks for breakfast.”
“You’re welcome. Have a nice day at work.”
“Thanks.”
Carrie rushes down the hall, and when we hear the interior door open and close for the garage, Janae gets up smiling with naughty intentions sparkling in her eyes. She walks into the kitchen and pushes my back against the counter as she presses her body against mine. I scoop her up and set her on the counter. She wraps her legs around me and grabs the sides of my face, pulling me into a kiss.
As I’m reaching for the hem of her tee shirt to pull it off, the door loudly opens, and something slams against the wall. We pull apart and hear Carrie say, “Fucking great. Everything is ruined.”
“I’ll be back.”
I quickly walk down the hall and find Carrie sitting against the wall with her purse and keys thrown across the foyer. I kneel down in front of her and pull her head off of her knees. As her eyes lock with mine, she breaks down crying so I pull her into my arms.
“Carrie, what’s wrong?”
“My car won’t start. I can’t deal with this on t
op of losing you. I just can’t handle anymore right now.”
“If you really want to go to work, you can take my Escalade . We’ll also get you a new car so you don’t have to deal with these issues.”
“Jack, you can’t just fix everything with your money.”
“This is what I do for my friends. I promise, I’m not offering you help to make up for how I hurt you. It’s just because I want to be a good friend. I have more money than I know what to do with. Please let me help you.”
“Why don’t we just fix it?”
“It’s seven years old and has a lot of miles on it. You’re going to be starting your own business soon. You need a dependable car.”
“Are you never going to say I love you anymore when we’re saying goodbye?”
“I thought you didn’t want me to. You didn’t say it either.”
She leans back against the wall wiping her eyes and takes my hand to tug me down to sit next to her.
“I got used to hearing it. I liked hearing it. I’ve never believed those words out of another person like I believed it when you said it.”
“I just don’t want to cause you any pain. This is why I never allowed myself to remain in an arrangement with a woman who was catching feelings for me, or I was falling for. Being with me is supposed to be about pleasure, release, and renewal. Stress, drama, and pain – I’m not about any of that. At least, I tried really hard not to be. I broke so many of my rules to be with you and all it did is cause you pain.”
“Jack, that’s not true.” She exhales hard and leans her head back to look up at the high foyer ceiling. “I don’t regret being with you. I knew what I was getting into. You’re a really good person, Jack – better than any of those judgmental assholes I grew up with back home. They’d take one look at you and think you should be behind bars, but if you wipe away the skin and flesh and only look at the heart, you’re better than them in every way possible.
“When I first got here, everything was so different from home. I mean, I wasn’t so sheltered that I didn’t see things on TV or the internet, but everyone back home was so afraid to step out of line and be judged by the community that people didn’t open up about anything. When I got here, people were just sharing the craziest things with each other and with complete strangers. My first week at Spoons, I had a woman in her seventies tell me that she swears the Sunrise Smoothie had increased her libido and she was having sex three times a week after going years without it.”
