With that, a white light flashed and a floating dark elf woman appeared. He recognized the form of the ancient evil goddess, Zateria, who went straight to the officer skeleton which burst from its current form into a large, shining, blue flash that Zateria struck with enough force to cause the ground to shake and the scaffolding to give away.
As the very floor they were on gave way, suddenly a light engulfed them, and Gary heard the voice of Mikiria. “You have lowered the dark mind defences, and my sister will deal with him now, but this is no place for mortals.”
With that, the glowing ball they were in blinked out of existence and blinked back in, depositing them in front of the cave entrance. With that, a whole lot of dust exited the cave as the mountain the cave was a part of started to collapse, sending debris all over the place.
Gary helped Althenia up and dusted off his clothes as Bloodhammer got up himself. “Well, that was interesting, but I am afraid your portal home is now under so many rocks, that it would take an army of dwarves a decade to get it out.”
“Never mind,” replied Gary. “I think I preferred Narderba anyway.” Gary looked at the dwarf and got a scowl, and quickly added, “Or Blindstone, although the doors were a little short for my liking.”
With that, they walked back to their camp, and Gary smiled to himself. He was at last going home.
