He raised her leg and pulled it over his hip, sliding inside her, slowly this time. Leisurely. His strokes were almost lazy as his hand explored the lines of her body.

Dawn clung to him and enjoyed the same freedom of touching and exploring as he stroked the fire between them one long thrust at a time. His shoulders and arms. She kissed his neck and mouth and chin and tasted him wherever she could reach, getting lost on the high that was Tor’s cock pleasuring her over and over again.

Eventually, his thrusts came faster. His hand slipped between them and he pressed down on her swollen clit, bringing them to orgasm together in a writhing mass of sweaty tangled limbs and roars and screams.

  Then more purring.

  Two days later…

  Tor

Morning light filtered through the window, waking Tor from perfect bliss yet again.

His mate was in his arms. He didn’t think he would ever tire of waking and feeling her next to him.

They were bonded. She was his. She loved him.

They’d made love until they’d both passed out from exhaustion the night before last.

  They’d opened the bar.

Worked the bar with Liam and Ryder, sneaking kisses on breaks and a quicky in the storage closet that nearly got them caught.

No one had come to check on them. None of the Tribe had been to the bar since everything went down in the bunker. The sheriff hadn’t come by and asked any questions. All people talked about was the destruction of the MCC, but no one suspected any of them had anything to do with it.

No one but Connie knew. And she wouldn’t betray them.

He and Liam and Ryder had locked down the bar for the second night in a row since everything had happened.

Ryder had gone home to Ava.

Liam had gone back to his place.

Tor went upstairs and pulled his mate into bed where he’d proceeded to make love to her last night until she’d fallen asleep in his arms, exhausted, and he’d taken pity on her and let her sleep until now.

Now it was morning. They didn’t have to open the bar until noon.

He slipped his hand beneath the blanket and cupped her breast, rubbing a thumb over her nipple until it turned hard and peaked.

Dawn moaned in her sleep and swatted at his hand.

Tor moved his hand lower, touching her mound slowly and teasing.

Her eyes flew open, meeting his gaze and they were bright with desire.

He dipped his hand lower, slipping a finger inside her body, loving the way her eyelids got heavy and she moaned and her mouth opened just slightly. She was so wet. So ready. It took everything inside him not to just pull his hand away and drive into her right in that moment.

  She squirmed against his hand.

He bent and nipped at the closest breast, taking it into his mouth and sucking just hard enough to make her pussy clench around his finger.

“Tor, it feels so good,” Dawn said after another moan that had his dick pulsing in time with her heart-rate.

He gathered her wetness and circled her clit, bringing her up to the edge within seconds. Then slowed and backed off.

Her frustrated growl made him laugh.

“Pick a number between one and ten,” he said, kissing at her nipple again. She writhed in his arms, squirming to get away and closer at the same time.

“Wha?” One eye popped open through the haze of pre-orgasmic bliss.

“Pick a number,” he repeated, working hard to keep a straight face. “Between one and ten.”

She raised an eyebrow and frowned, but then she said, “five.”

“Excellent number,” he said, swirling his finger around her clit with renewed vigor. She arched into his hand and came with a scream. Tor covered her mouth with his and pumped his finger into her, milking her for every bit of her climax until she went limp and fell back against the pillow with a series of gasping moans.

Pride rolled through Tor’s chest. He propped himself up on an elbow, so he was higher than Dawn and looking down at her flushed naked body sprawled on the bed like he’d already had his way with her.

  He had.

  Just not enough.

He cupped and then pinched the nipple on her closest breast, then when she was panting and whining, he moved to the other one. Her hips arched off the bed, begging for his attention and he didn’t have the heart to ignore his mate’s need.

He slid his finger back through her heat and wetness and drove it in and out, rubbing her clit each time until she was clinging to him half crying half screaming as she came again, harder than the first time.

  “Tor. I need—”

“What is it, my love? What do you need?”

Her hand brushed over his hard cock and he sucked in a breath, fighting for control.

“Not that yet. You still need three more climaxes before I get to go that far.”

She pushed away from his chest and met his gaze with wide eyes. “No! I didn’t. I can’t.” She rolled away from him, trying to slip off the bed, but he caught her around the waist before she escaped. “Tor. You’ll kill me.”

“I beg to differ. The noises you make are positively divine.”

“You didn’t tell me what the number was for,” she whined.

Tor held her with one arm and put his other between them, running it down her stomach, over her mound, and dipping back into her swollen and throbbing and pulsing sex.

“I—I—” Her eyes closed, and she moaned again.

Tor worked her over slower this time, pulling her higher and higher until she came with a scream that made his tiger purr with pleasure. Her muscles relaxed and she melted into the mattress, all fight fading from her body. But it would be back, and he had no intention of letting her up until she’d come five times at least.

And then he’d take her once more just for good measure.

He yanked the covers back, tossing them to the floor. Then crawled off the bed and grabbed Dawn’s thighs and pulled her closer, turning her so that his head was between her legs. He pushed her thighs up onto his shoulders and breathed in the sweet scent of her arousal.

His big cat purred and took a quick lick. Her body flared to life and he held down her hips so she couldn’t squirm away.

  “Tor, I—”

He licked again and her breath left her in a whoosh like a balloon being deflated. She shuddered under his tongue and moaned that sound that made his dick as hard as granite.

Tor glanced up, surprised to see her propped up on her elbows watching him with hooded eyes, stormy with lust. He sucked and licked and smiled against her wet flesh waiting for that moment when she imploded.

He flicked his tongue against her clit, his raspy sandpaper-like tiger tongue.

Her legs jerked. Her hips arched and she threw her head back.

  There it was.

“Tor!” she screamed, going off like a siren. “Again. Do that again. What did you do?”

  “Liked that?”

“Mmmmmhmmm,” she moaned, her body trembling beneath his touch. “So good.”

He licked her again and she bit her lip and moaned.

“I need you inside me, Tor. Please.”

“Almost.” He put his mouth back to her sex and settled into a rhythm that would draw out another slow build for her. He pushed and teased and tortured her until she was thrashing on the bed screaming. Then her hands were in his hair and she was pushing and pulling and crying from the release.

  “Tor,” she begged, breathless. “Please.”

He gave her fluttery pussy one last lick and crawled up over her, slipping an arm beneath her chest and pulling her toward the center of the bed. Then he dipped his head and captured her mouth, loving the taste of her. The way her tongue explored his mouth, starting out tentative and then getting braver and more demanding. Her hands were the same. Soft and unsure at first, then harder and more demanding.

He moved his mouth down to her pert little breasts and bit gently on a nipple. Her fingers curled into c
laws on his shoulders and his tiger purred, loudly. “Mine,” he said, his voice deep.

“Yours. Make me yours again, Tor.”

That was it. It was the end of his self-restraint. He took his cock in his hand and guided it to her entrance. He moved slowly, easing himself inside a little at a time, enjoying the way she rocked her hips and begged for more.

Her legs wrapped around his waist. Her arms encircled his neck. Her mouth bit at his bottom lip.

And then he moved. It was heaven. Being sheathed inside her was pure heaven. He moved slowly at first and then upped his rhythm until the only sound he could hear was the slapping of their flesh moving together. The sound of her panting. The sound of her moaning.

The energy between them was tightening and curling and building to an orgasm they both needed. He drove in and out, harder and harder, and she raised her hips to meet him, taking as much as he could give and crying for more.

When her release came, it hit with a force he couldn’t describe. Her body clenched on his. Her legs bore down on his waist. Her arms melded to his shoulders. She arched into him off the bed and screamed until she had no breath left.

His came shortly after. He lifted his head and roared, thrust twice more and then. His fangs descended and he went for her shoulder, the need to bite her and mark her again unbearable.

Dawn yelped at the bite, but only tensed for a second before melting back into unadulterated orgasmic bliss.

He released her shoulder and licked the bite until it healed over. Her pupils were dilated. She was panting and her heart was racing in her chest like a herd of deer running from his tiger.

She blinked up at him and a lazy smile curved the corners of her lips. “I win,” she said, her eyes closing once more.

Tor snorted through a laugh. Kissed her lips and rolled to the side. His mate shivered and reached for the covers that weren’t on the bed. He got up and went to the bathroom, cleaned up quickly, and then returned to Dawn with a warm washcloth. He cleaned her and then tucked the covers around her body.

“Where you going?” she murmured from her warm cocoon.

“Just to check in with the Tribe. I won’t be gone long. Promise,” he said, tugging on his jeans and boots. He had a shirt here somewhere. He just wasn’t sure when he’d taken it off or where.

Dawn rolled back into a ball and sighed.

Tor watched her for a few moments. Her breathing evened out and the softest of snores sounded from beneath the mound of blankets hiding his mate.

  “Tor.”

He stopped. His hand on the apartment doorknob.

“Shuarra?” He hurried back to the bedroom. Dawn was scrambling around the room, getting dressed. Or at least attempting. She had one leg in her pants and the other in a pair of panties.

  “That won’t work, love.”

“I know. I know.” She shucked the pants back off. “I want to see the babies too. You can’t go without me.” Her gaze met his. “That’s where you’re going, right?”

“I wasn’t going for the babies, but I’m sure Naomi would love to see you.”

“We should bring them food. And something for the babies. You’re supposed to bring gifts.”

Tor smiled. “Of course.” He loved this woman so much his heart ached. The empty place in his soul was finally filled. He was whole and in love and she was perfect. “I love you.”

She looked up at him with the brightest smile. The glow on her skin from the soul call was gone, but the way she made him feel when she looked at him—like he was her whole world—it was the best thing he’d ever felt. Would ever feel.

“I love you, too, my tiger.”

Tor parked his truck in front of Col and Naomi’s cabin.

“I’ll just tell Naomi that I’m ordering the babies gifts,” Dawn said, her voice irritated and filled with worry. “There’s nothing in this town to buy for them. I can make blankets. But I need yarn. And needles. Or a loom. Or something.”

Tor hurried around to the other side of the truck where his mate was about to have a panic attack. “Hey,” he said, grabbing her shoulders and making her look directly at him. “Look at me. Breathe. She’s not going to expect you to have gifts for the babies today. It’s okay.”

  “But—”

He shook his head. “No buts. We have pastries from Lily’s. You’re going to take your time. Make something or find something you really want to give them. There’s no rush.”

She took a deep breath and nodded slowly. “I just want them to like me. I barely know them. I got trapped in a bunker and helped deliver her babies and I’m pretty sure you and the other guys killed people for me.” The words flew at him in an anxiety-ridden deluge.

He cupped her face and kissed her hard. She stiffened against the onslaught and then melted into him with a soft moan.

“Better?” he asked, pulling away slowly.

“Yes,” she said, touching her lips.

He grabbed the Lily’s bag from the ground where he’d dropped it, slipped an arm around her waist and guided her up the pebbled path to the door. The brush had been cleared away by the builders when the cabin had been erected. Gravel had been hauled in to keep it from turning into a mud-hole. There were a few large rocks placed at the corners of the cabin. Some smaller ones created an outline of what would later be a garden. Naomi had been getting the guys to bring them down from the mountain a few at a time.

“This is really nice. A lot bigger than the one you’re in with Saul.”

“Yeah, that cabin is part of Douglas’s rentals. We do all his repairs and upkeep for all his properties and get to live in that one in exchange. Plus, if a renter calls for maintenance, we answer those calls too.”

Tor knocked on the door and then opened it. “Vraka? Mahadhri?” He stepped inside, pulling Dawn along with him.

“Are we supposed to just walk in?”

“Yes,” he answered, leading her through the entry to open living room in the back of the cabin. Sunlight flooded the room from the floor to ceiling windows and the view of the river and mountain beyond was breathtaking. Naomi had chosen the spot for her home well.

“Oh my gosh! It’s gorgeous!” Dawn walked away from him toward the windows, her eyes wide. “I could just sit here and stare at it for hours. And this little cubby here in the corner is perfect.”

“Thank you,” Naomi said, coming into the living room behind them. “It is my favorite spot in the whole cabin. Well, maybe second to the hot tub. But that’s outside.”

Dawn flashed Naomi a huge smile. “I hope we’re not intruding. Tor just let us in. He said it was okay, but it’s—”

“Hush, he’s fine. You’re fine.” Naomi patted the baby bundle in her arms. “Kela is almost asleep. Her siblings are already down for a nap. She’s just being stubborn. Tor knows he is always welcome in our home and you are as well. I come from a big family in Jersey. We were always in each other’s houses and faces and dinner tables,” she said, a soft laugh rolling from her chest. “It’s nice that these guys are accustomed to communal living. It made the transition easier for me. I like cooking for all of them. Having them here for meals at least once a day. It makes me feel like I have a big family surrounding me again since I settled so far from mine.”

“That sounds really nice. I was an only child and I tried to stay away from my mom as much as possible. It’ll be weird for me to have so many people around.”

Tor put the bag of pastries on the counter and pressed a soft kiss to her temple. “No one is rushing you, shuarra.”

Dawn smiled at him and took a slow deep breath before turning back to Naomi. “Kela? That’s a pretty name. Do you have names for all of them now?”

Naomi beamed. “We do. Garth for our son, after Col’s father—Gar. Kela after his sister. And then our other daughter is Isabella, after my mother.”

“I love them. I’m so glad they are doing well. How are you? We brought food. I’m going to make them something, but I have to get supplies and—”

  “Dawn,” Naomi interrupted.

“I’m just nervous and I don’t know what to say.”

“You are family, Dawn. One of us now. Take your time. It’s okay.”

“Shuarra,” Col’s voice rumbled softly from behind the group. “Give me Kela. I’ll put her down with the others so you can visit.” He bent and kissed Naomi, lingering a long while, before taking the pink-wrapped baby from his mate’s arms. “It is good to see you, little one. How are you feeling?” Col said, looking directly at Dawn.

“I’m good. Thank you. I just—we brought food.”

He smiled. “Thank you.” Col took the baby and left. A few minutes later the front door of the cabin opened, and more people poured into the great room. Dawn moved a little closer to Tor’s side. He curled an arm around her waist and held her tight.

  21

  Dawn

Naomi hadn’t been kidding when she said they all got together for meals. People were pouring into the house with wrapped dishes that smelled amazing.

Penny walked in and collapsed on the couch. Her mate had his arms full of bags and which he set on the counter.

Tara and Owen made themselves at home in the kitchen and were setting up quite the buffet line of lunch choices, mostly meat and bread, but there was at least one bowl of green salad.

“I should help,” she whispered. “Offer to help.”

“You can, but it’s okay if you don’t.”

Ryder and Ava were the next ones through the door. Ava joined her brother and sister-in-law in the kitchen. Col reappeared in the living room and followed Ryder outside.

Kann walked by and gave Tor a nod, then looked down at Dawn. “Welcome to the Tribe.”

  “Thank you.”

“Vraka probably wants you outside with us. Owen, you too. The other wolves are here with Knox.”

“What about Katherine?” Tara hollered from the pantry.

“She’s still up in Fairbanks with her dad. Harrison’s okay, just going to be a couple days before he’s up and about again.”
