“Shit. I guess we’re getting married then.” She smiles and a tear rivets down her cheek.

It takes about fifteen minutes to get our marriage license.

We drive to the chapel and are informed they have an appointment available in two hours. I take Hazel to a jewelry store for rings. She swears she doesn’t want a dress. I think she is still of the mind I’m not serious about this. I’ve never been surer than I am in this. Hazel is living and breathing proof that there’s someone for everyone, and she’s the woman for me. We go with simple silver bands. Nothing fancy.

Hell. We’re doing this in jeans and tees.

The chapel looks more like a cabin, but it blends seamlessly into the wooded scenery like it’s a painting on a wall in a hunting cabin or some shit. Or as Hazel calls it pretty as a picture.

  Chapter Twenty

Marriage wasn’t something I thought would be high on a biker’s list of priorities. I don’t know what the hell I’m doing standing in this gorgeous chapel in the Smoky Mountains about to say I do to the first and only man I’ve ever loved. It’s absolutely insane yet perfect for us. A true dream come to life. A fantasy I had as a girl. One he always laughed off. If reuniting with Benicio has taught me anything it’s to throw caution to the wind and trust that fate didn’t intercept our paths and weave them together a second time for nothing.

When he looks into my eyes, I see love. I see my home. My future. It terrifies me, but its right. I don’t want to question my intuition or second guess his feelings for me. I’ve done enough of that. Every time I come to the same conclusion. That I love this man. He’s right. It doesn’t matter if it happens today or years from now. We were written in the stars, and life is too short not to latch onto every ray of happiness and take chances. So here I am saying those two words that will bind us forever.

“I do,” I vow, repeating the same words he recited moments ago.

Holy strokes the inside of my palm, and I try my damnedest not to shed any tears. I shove his hair back from his eyes. My sexy biker in dark denim, a grey thermal under his cut, desperately in need of a good trim of his facial hair.

I’m convinced I look absolutely feral in my ripped jeans and faded tee. My hair could use a brush, but I’ve never felt more wanted in my life as though I’m his dream girl. I close my eyes and soak this moment in, filing it away for when life gets too much, and I need something pure and true to hold on to.

“You may now kiss the bride.” The man has barely gotten the words out before Holy claims my lips coming in hard, deep, greedy, and full of tongue. I return his kiss swept up in the romance of it all. The lit candles and beautiful red and white roses along with the soft music. This fire for him burns inside me. I can’t get enough.

The preacher clears his throat, and we disentangle long enough to have our picture snapped. The end of the ceremony and the drive to the cabin my husband rented for the night is a blur. I want him bad. Knowing he’s mine somehow makes him hotter. I don’t pay any attention to our beautiful surroundings. I’m eager to get behind closed doors for all the dirty things he’s going to do to me under the pale moonlight filtering through the windows as we enter our honeymoon destination.

The fireplace is lit and crackling. A bucket of champagne on ice. Chocolate covered and plain strawberries next to the tub full of warm bubbles. “You arranged this?”

“Had a little help from East.”

I nod and start stripping, eager to get in the tub. I’m in desperate need of a bath, and I get to do it with my man. My biker husband. It’s so foreign to think of those words together but it fits. We fit. I stare at him as he too takes off all his clothes. It hits me. I’m alive again. The time we were apart. The years I spent running I was merely surviving. Coasting from one day to the next. Thinking girls like me belonged nowhere and to no one, but it’s so clear to me now. I belong wherever Benicio is. He climbs into the tub first and I enter second, settling between his legs leaning back on his chest and shoulder. The warm water and bubbles clinging to my skin. The whole scene is so damn beautiful. The lost girl I was is dead and I’m reborn. The sins I committed for survival washed away as I’m transported to paradise in his arms.

His lips brush along my jaw. “Love you, Hazel.”

  “I love you, Beni.”

I glance up and hold his gaze.

The big picture window behind the tub has a beautiful view of the mountains. Big pines capped with snow. The remnants of winter holding on for a few more weeks.

My husband hugs me to him, and I know that I made the right choice.

We separate for a glass of champagne and to feed one another strawberries. The sweet fruit explodes on my tongue bringing out the flavor of the sparkling wine. We lean toward each other, the water sloshes over the sides of the tub as his lips meet mine, soft and sweet, full of love and desire. Champagne kisses soon turn to so much more.

He greedily kisses me deeper and harder.

We stay lips molded together, fingers exploring one another until the water turns cool.

My husband lifts me out of the tub, and I slide down his slick body to my feet, water dripping everywhere, loving the feel of him. Every time he looks at me, I fall deeper and harder in love with him. His cock presses into my stomach firm and ready.

The mask of his control slips and he bares all to me. Body and soul. That lost little boy who craved love hides behind the shadows, he’s been there all along waiting for me to find him again. We make love in front of the fireplace, the warmth it produces no match for the fire burning between us. Holy is on his back on the plush bear skin rug as I straddle his hips, the head of his dick kissing my pussy lips, but I don’t let him in. Not yet. Tonight I’m in control. Nipping at his inked chest with my teeth and digging my nails into his shoulders, marking and claiming my territory. I kiss him all over, doing whatever I please. I claim the cross around his neck with my teeth.

“Want this inked right here.” I slide a hand between my breasts. “You’re the answer to every prayer I’ve ever whispered.” I guide him inside and roll my hips slowly hooked on the sensation of being loved and desired by him.

“Fuck, baby,” he groans, putting a hand to my throat and thrusting his hips upward, hitting me deep in the right spot. “So beautiful. Fuckin’ perfect. My wife. My naughty little Honey Bee.”

I ride him soft and slow, savoring how perfectly our bodies fit together. He slaps my ass and rolls me to my back. I watch him slide in and out. Those thick veins popping out in his neck beneath his dark ink. He touches me all over with his rough hands. The fire crackles in the backdrop. Snowflakes falling and melting on the windowsill creating an illusion that we’re trapped in a snow globe where nothing exists but the two of us as he holds my body tight to his, giving it to me hard. Showing me that I don’t belong to just anybody I belong to him. I’m his to possess, kiss, and fuck whenever and however he pleases.

  I always have been.

I don’t want to belong to anyone else.

No one could ever compare. Not to him.

Beni makes love to me like it’s for the first time, paying attention to every inch of my body. Making sure I know he’s devoted to me. Only me. Threading his fingers through mine he pushes my hands over my head, slamming into me harder and deeper, rougher and wilder. I shatter, becoming completely undone. The walls of my pussy squeeze and contract all around him. He drops his head to mine, taking my mouth with heavy breaths and strawberry flavored kisses.

I’m so gone for him. So fucking gone.

“That’s it. Gonna make you come over and over again,” he promises and delivers.

“Need behind you.” He releases me long enough to switch positions. I go to my belly, head bowed, ass up, giving him access to all my sensitive areas. One hand on my hip he drives into me. Using his other he teases my nipples, and I play with my clit.

It’s all too much but I can’t stop. I meet him thrust for thrust slamming my ass back at him. I want nothing more than to feel it the m
oment he gets off. For him to fill me with all that he is.

“Give it to me. Fuck me, baby,” I beg.

Pumping his hips faster he glides in and out of my tight hole. My wetness slicks down both my thighs. I’m fucking dripping I’m so hot and turned on. “You gonna come again?” I moan my answer as he slaps my ass and rubs his fingers through my juices.

“Oh fuck, I cry out when he goes right to my ass with a finger. My legs tremble and my body quakes.

Benicio pulls out then drills back in with a primal growl. His warmth spills into me and we collapse onto the rug.

“Fuck,” he mutters into my neck, brushing my hair out of the way. “I can’t move.” he laughs.

“Me either,” I say all breathy, trying to catch mine.

A sweaty arm curves around my waist and he palms one of my boobs. We stay plastered together for seems like forever on the rug watching the fire and the snow falling outside. I wish we’d get snowed in and we could stay here in this happy bubble forever.

“Is it supposed to snow a lot?”

“No idea,” he murmurs, stroking his fingers through my damp hair lazily. “Never imagined how sweet it’d be.”

  “What’s that?”

“Seeing my ring on your finger. Knowing you’re mine and that nothing or no one can ever change that.”

“I like it too.” I hold my hand up and admire the silver band wrapped around my finger. I grab his hand and kiss his pairing wedding band.

“I need a cigarette.” He groans as he gets up off the floor.

I scrunch up my nose at him.

He pulls his jeans on, throws on his shirt, and slips his boots on to go out on the porch to smoke. I make use of the bathroom to clean up and slip into one of the complimentary robes.

While Holy smokes I nibble on the chocolate covered strawberries and plop down on the bed. I wonder how Crystal would react if I told her that I married a biker?

She’d probably think I’m full of shit.

I grab my purse, digging through it for my cell and charger. I’ve not plugged my phone in once. I’ve not had a need to though. Not really. It takes a few minutes for my device to get enough charge to power on.

  My notifications chime like crazy.

A few missed calls and texts from Jackson wanting his keys and pissed he can’t reach me. There’s a message from Crystal that says she needs to see me as soon as possible.

There are a few missed calls from Lefty and Dirty Tony, but I’m not worried about the club. I dial Crystal and she answers on a half ring. Sheesh.

“Hey girl, hey. Where the hell you been? I’ve been by your place and called you a gazillion times. Everyone is looking for you.”

“I have news.” I grin at my ring.

  “Whatcha talking about?”

“I sort of um..., I got hitched.”

“To who?” she screams so loud I have to pull the phone from my ear.

  “He’s a biker.”

“What the hell are you thinking, Hazel? I know. I’ll tell you what, you’re not? Girl, are you crazy? You’ve done lost your mind. Where are you, I’ll come get you? I can’t believe this shit.”

“I’m on my honeymoon, but we’ll be in town soon so I can get my stuff. I’m moving to West Virginia.”

“West Virginia? Where those bastards the other night were from?”

  “Yeah.”

“I know you didn’t go marry some biker you met at the club. I know I must be hearing wrong. Have I taught you nothing? Why the hell would you do that?”

“I’m in love. I’d expect you of all people to get that. I thought you’d be happy for me.”

“I would be if I didn’t think you were being stupid.”

“That’s not cool, Crystal. I don’t get all up in your shit about Bruno.”

“It’s like that, huh? Knew you always hated him.”

“Um hello, he nearly broke your arm.”

“It was an accident. He didn’t mean it.”

“Your mom said you were pressing charges. Please don’t tell me you’re already back with him?”

Holy comes back and raises a brow, but I hold up a finger signaling to give me a minute.

  “I bailed him out.”

“I don’t even know what to say to you.”

“Well, that makes two of us.”

“I don’t want to fight with you.”

“Well, I don’t want to fight with you. When you coming to get your stuff, I want to see you before you run off with some biker.”

“He’s not just some biker, but I’ll explain later. I gotta go.”

My good mood deflates with her soured reaction, but I don’t care what she thinks. This is right. Everything that has happened in my life has led me to today. To him.

  Chapter Twenty-one

“You good? Conversation sounded a little tense.”

“It was. I was talking to Crystal. She’s being difficult. Nothing new.”

“Don’t take this the wrong way, but you got shit taste in friends.”

“Yeah, about that. I kind of need to get up with Jackson to give him back his keys when we get to Nashville. I sort of took off with them.”

“We can do that, but we aren’t sticking around long. Want to get you packed up and home with me where you belong ASAP.”

  “Yeah?”

“Damn straight. Let’s get ready for bed.”

I lay my phone on the nightstand and he pulls me to my feet. We stand side by side at the bathroom sink and brush our teeth, unable to stop staring at each other and smiling like goofy idiots.

I spit and rinse. “Do you think we’ll always be this happy?”

“No, but I’ll damn sure try to give it to you. We got a lot of shit to do when we get back. Figured tomorrow we’ll get a car trailer from a rental place. Load down your car with whatever you want to take. We’ll pull it behind us. When we get back home, we’ll get your stuff situated and see what we need to replace after my shit was ruined. Fresh start.”

“Sounds like a plan.” I snatch my dirty panties and bra off the floor and wash them in the bathroom sink with dish liquid, hanging them over the edge of the tub to dry.

My hubby has stripped down and turned down the bed. I shed the robe and slide in next to him, assuming the position he prefers me in.

“Would you mind terribly if Crystal stops by to see me for a minute while we pack?”

“Not my idea of a good time but if it means I won’t have to see her again then that’s cool with me. Bitch better stay away from my pockets and my wallet though.”

“It’s okay I don’t have to call her.”

“Does it mean something to you to see her?”

“Kind of. She’s basically my only friend.”

“Then you should. But, babe, you’re getting new friends.” I roll my eyes at that.

  “So bossy,” I mutter.

“Don’t act like you don’t enjoy it.”

He kisses my forehead, and I fall asleep snuggled in his arms.

  **

After a quick breakfast and picking up a trailer we’ve made it to my apartment. I mainly only want to bring my clothes and toiletries. I don’t have much as far as personal effects. Growing up I traveled with a trash bag. I learned early on not to get attached to material possessions. In foster care people would steal anything worth much or take things away as a form of punishment.

Beni made me go to the office with him so he could pay off the remainder of my lease. I didn’t want him to pay, but he said since we’re married, he doesn’t want it to mess up his credit in the long run. It makes sense. I can’t believe I’m a married woman and worrying over things like a new couch and a credit score. Just a few days ago I was a stripper hoping I could afford to make it through the next month.

I sent Jackson a text on our way here. He should be arriving any minute now to grab his keys. I have no interest in seeing him, but it would be a dick move not to give them back. Despite his flaws he did come through for me when
I needed a ride and was in a jam.

“Do you want these dishes, or you want to wait and pick out new?” Beni holds up the cheap floral pattern dishware I bought from a thrift shop.

“Leave it. It’ll be fun to shop together.” The idea of making a home together is exciting.

“All right. I’m gonna start putting some of these boxes in your trunk.”

“Thank you.” I kiss his cheek and hand him my keys.

He starts out the door when I hear, “Who the fuck are you?” Jackson. I may have forgotten to mention to him that I’m married, and my husband would be present.

  Oops.

I glance toward the door to see Jackson shoving his way past my man. Oh shit. Not good.

“Hazel,” he shouts. “What the hell? Who is this dude?”

“Jackson, hi. I have your keys, but um, yeah. Meet my husband, Benicio.”

He glances back at my man. “You’re with a biker?”

  “Yup.”

  “Since when?”

“Listen, bud. Get that you’re hella confused but it doesn’t matter. My Ol’ Lady ain’t gotta explain herself to you, so get your keys and get the fuck out,” my bad ass biker hubby warns him.

“Your Ol’ Lady ain’t nothing but a stripper and a whore.”

At that Holy comes out and pops Jackson right in the mouth with his fist. “Don’t ever insult my wife.”

“The fuck, man?” Jackson rubs his mouth. “You hit me?”

“One more word about Hazel, and I’ll do a lot worse.”

“Fucking bullshit.” He snatches his keys from my outstretched hand and stomps out.

  “That went well.”

“I’m gonna take this on out and make sure that stupid fuck leaves.”

“I’ll try Crystal one more time.” I sent her a text, but she never messaged me back whether or not she could make it. I put my phone down and finish sorting through the last of my clothes. More than a few minutes have passed. I have the last of my stuff ready to pack into the car. I’m about to go looking for Benicio when he walks in acting strange. He’s stiff.

  “Hey.”
