The Wedding: Enigma, #17

My eyes bulge when I take him to the very back of my throat. There’s no way I can take all of him, but the sections missing out on the warmth of my mouth are stimulated by my hand. I stroke his cock in a rhythm matching my sucks. It’s a needy, fire-sparking embrace that has my knees creeping across the sheets more than once. He tastes so good—salty and manly and oh so delicious.

Isaac’s words come out in a quiver when I drag my tongue down his satiny flesh. “Suck me hard and fast, baby, then once I’ve drenched your throat with my seed, I’m going to drench your pussy and your ass.”

I suck him harder, loving the sinful wickedness of his threat. He doesn’t give threats halfheartedly. If you’re served one, he’ll expect you to pay your remuneration shortly after it’s issued. I should be scared at the thought. Alas, I could never be accused of being sensible when it comes to this man.

The sweat coating my skin doubles when Isaac peers down at me with his dark, steely eyes. He watches me lick, suck, and devour him. His gaze is focused on me, and it has me heating up everywhere. When his grip on my hair firms, I take him even deeper into my mouth. I love that I’m the only one who gets to see him like this—the only one capable of bringing him to his knees.

“Eyes,” I demand when his begin to taper.

Isaac is amused by my demand, but it does little to ease the excitement scuttling through my veins. I have him at my mercy, willing to do anything I want, and it has nothing to do with the platinum band wrapped around his ring finger. It is us—together—one solid unit.

When the throbs of his cock grow urgent, I tighten my grip around his shaft before swiveling my tongue on the underside of his knob. He roars my name in a raspy groan before the seed I’m dying to taste spurts out onto my tongue.

Groaning, I swallow him down greedily, not wanting to miss a drop, never getting enough. I pump him on repeat, ensuring every last drop of cum is expelled into my mouth.

Once I’m confident it is, I release his dick with a pop before raising my eyes to Isaac’s. He smirks at the devilish glint in my eyes before flipping me over without warning. My squeals of laughter switch to unbridled moans of lust when his once again erect cock braces at the entrance of my pussy.

“Mine,” he growls on a moan when he notches in the first four inches of his cock.

And for the next five hours, I was.

The writing on the villa Isaac purchased for our honeymoon is foreign, but I don’t need English to decipher what it says. Perfect is the only word needed. A private bungalow on a remote island in the middle of crystal blue waters.

After our rendezvous in our private jet four days ago, we were whisked away to an awaiting yacht that inevitably took us to our destination. Our island home is too small for a private airstrip, but it gave Isaac and me the perfect opportunity to add to our ever-growing list of transportation fuck locations.

We officially crossed off jet-ski’s from our list earlier today. It’s been a beautifully tranquil start to our honeymoon, but I’m looking forward to returning home. I’m missing our babies greatly. FaceTime has eased the nurturing side of my personality I didn’t know I had, but I can’t squeeze them over a tablet. I’ve missed Callie’s hugs almost as much as her whispering ‘I love you, Mommy’ when I tuck her in after a long day.

Forever diligent, Isaac senses my presence before he spots me. He’s sitting in the den, peering down at the contraption responsible for keeping us connected with the world even with us seemingly outside of it.

“Who’s that?” A news broadcast is playing on the screen. It shows a handsome, yet older gentleman being escorted out of an official-looking building by riot officers who look oddly similar to the ones Enrique was arrested by over a year ago.

My pulse quickens when Isaac holds out his hand for me. The violet gray diamond I had inserted into his platinum wedding band sparkling in the light increases my pace. It matches both the diamond in my engagement ring and his eyes to perfection.

When my hand slides into Isaac’s, he pulls me down until I’m sitting side straddled on his lap. Yearning surges through me when his cock braces against my backside. He’s not hard, but he doesn’t need to be for my inner vixen to pay attention. He’s naked. That’s enough to awaken her from the deepest trench.

I’m tempted to stomp my feet like a child when Isaac thwarts my attempts to feel him thick and heavy beneath me by saying, “That’s Vincent McGee, soon to be ex-governor.”

When pride flares through his commanding gaze, a smile tugs my lips high. “You did it. You took down Brandon’s father.”

I’m not shocked. I’m just stroking his ego. Isaac doesn’t understand the word ‘failure.’ He fought for everything he has, including me, so I’m not surprised he fights just as hard for those victimized unjustly by greedy, condescending men like my father and Col Petretti. Although I believe justice would have eventually prevailed, there’s no harm giving it a push every once and a while. The McGees never held back using it to their advantage, so Isaac merely evened the chessboard.

Talking about McGees, other than reading a report about Brandon assisting in the coup that released Katie from a decade of hell, I haven’t seen nor heard from him. He once again vanished off the face of the earth. If I were to believe the rumors, he’s still a part of Grayson’s team in New York. Regrettably, for all involved, I learned the hard way what happens when you don’t stop to evaluate all the facts. Brandon’s dossier didn’t do him any favors.

Hating that I’m letting outsiders dampen my mood on our honeymoon, I snuggle into Isaac’s side before sucking in his delicious scent. “I’m so proud of you, Isaac.”

Still incapable of accepting praise, Isaac defers the focus of him by bringing up a video of a little boy who stole my heart as effectively as Isaac did when I crashed into him. With Ravenshoe’s growth occurring at a rate quicker than anyone could perceive, the sturdy walls Isaac has been endeavoring to keep erect has had the occasional tumble. It isn’t more than Ravenshoe PD can handle, but there have been a few cases that tested my investigation skills.

Nolan was one of those cases.

The chubby cheeks, dimple-blemished grin, and wild black hair reflecting back at me from Isaac’s tablet doesn’t compare to the almost lifeless newborn Ryan and I stumbled upon while seeking evidence in a dumpster almost six months ago.

Nolan’s diaper was soiled, his stomach malnourished, and he was so dehydrated, his cries were tearless. Seeing him like that broke my heart, so much so, I refused to leave his side. I stayed with him during the numerous medical tests Dr. Jae put him through and held him when his body shook as it struggled through the side effects of being born to a drug-addicted mother.

Since I was at the hospital twenty-four seven, you sure as hell can be guaranteed Isaac was there just as much. He even brought Callie in to meet Nolan, and thus commenced our fight to extend our family from three to four. It’s been an uphill battle because Nolan has to be abandoned for a year before the normal adoption process can be pursued. It’s quicker in standard adoptions because the parental rights of the biological parents are terminated before care is awarded to the adoptive parents. Since we didn’t know who his parents were, we couldn’t legally file for adoption.

With Nolan thriving and under the watchful guardianship of Dr. Jae in our home, Isaac’s security team commenced searching for his parents three months ago. Even with Alex’s help, they’ve yet to find a shred of evidence. Regan assures us that increases our chances of adopting Nolan, but we don’t want to wait until his first birthday to officially introduce him as our son. He’s our son now, we just need the paperwork to prove it.

I laugh at how crinkled Nolan’s nose gets when he does his infamous toothless grin just before the video ends. “Did Jae send you that today?”

Isaac places his tablet on the coffee table before slouching deeper into the couch we made sweet love on last night. “No, Hugo did. Elouise supposedly wanted a playdate.” His clipped tone makes me smile. Much to Isaac
’s disgrace, Callie’s fascination with Joel didn’t wane with time. She’s as smitten with him now as she was at his parents’ wedding months ago. “He also sent me this.”

My nose tingles when Isaac brings up a sheet of paper I’m all too familiar with. It’s for the dissolution of parental rights. Except it’s no longer blank as I’m used to seeing it. It’s filled in with an obvious signature at the bottom.

As goosebumps race across my skin, I raise my watering eyes to Isaac. “You found Nolan’s parents?”

The glimmer in his eyes when he says “yes” is almost enough to put me on my ass.

  “And they signed?”

He nods only once, but it causes the dam in my eyes to spillover. “Only his mother. His father passed away three months before he was born.”

I’m pained for Nolan, but my tears are ones of happiness. “Does that mean he’s our son… officially?”

Isaac throws his head back and laughs at my daftness. “Yes, Isabelle. He’s our son. He’s always been our son.” After clearing away the tears careening down my cheeks with his thumbs, he drops one of his hands to my lips. “Just like you’ve always been mine.”

I playfully bite the tip of his thumb when he tracks it across my nude lips, loving the sharp inhalation he does from my frisky tease. “I’ve always been yours. I will forever be yours. But can I be yours anywhere but here?”

A flare ignites in Isaac’s unique gray eyes. “Did you have somewhere else in mind?”

“Home.” He groans when I leap up from his lap. “With our babies.”

He acts frustrated by my request, but the faintest chug of an engine foils his ruse. The boat that brought us here four days ago is moored at the dock, and our luggage is packed and waiting by the door.

My breath leaves in a hurry when Isaac bands his arm around my waist and pulls me back until I’m snug into the firm ridges of his body. He snuck up on me so agilely, I didn’t hear his approach.

“As ravishing as you look right now, I don’t like other men eyeing what’s mine.” He grazes his teeth down the fleshy section of my ear before sucking it into his mouth. “There are spare clothes in the wardrobe. Go get dressed, then I’ll take you home.”

I swoon like crazy, adoring that he used the same words he spoke to me before taking me to his private residence for the first time. After spinning around, I slap each of his cheeks with my hands before placing a dramatically sloppy kiss on his mouth.

His tongue lashes my lips, but for the first time ever, my heart overrules my libido. “If I were able to stop this before it went too far, I’d be showing you right now how much you mean to me, but since I can’t, it will have to wait until we’re in the plane.”

With a frisky wink and my steps the springiest they’ve been, I hotfoot it to the main room of our bungalow to get dressed.

Trusting Isaac wasn’t the man his FBI file portrayed was a decision only I could make. Proving me right was Isaac’s decision. He could have walked away. He could have given up on us. He didn’t. For that alone, I’ll never stop loving him. He is the reason I smile, the reason I laugh, and the reason I trust. He is the reason I exist. I was made for him.

When Isabelle fails to stifle a yawn, I tug her in close to my side before increasing my strides. She’s tired, which isn’t surprising. When she’s not rostered on at Ravenshoe PD, Callie and Nolan zap most of her energy during daylight hours, then I gobble up a good chunk of her nights. I’m glad Nolan’s inclusion in our family didn’t diminish Isabelle’s love of sex, but if it had, I would have dealt with it as I did when my empire took a hit upon realizing my greatest accomplishment couldn’t be measured by my wealth or power.

The triumph I felt when I amassed my fortune doesn’t compare to what I experience when I tuck my children in every night before slipping into the bed I share with my wife. They are, without a doubt, my greatest success, a victory that grows more wealthy with every moment we spend together.

  Blood didn’t choose my family.

  I did.

Callie and Nolan will be reminded of that as they grow. They weren’t abandoned or neglected, they were chosen. That makes them more precious than the most affluent DNA.

Isabelle and I still have access to the sperm Jae had frozen without my consent, and I am still able to get reversed, but for now, we’re happy the way we are. What I said to Isabelle months ago was true. I couldn’t love Callie, and now Nolan, any more if I tried, so the desire to have children of my own has never entered my thoughts. We have two beautiful children. If we want to add more down the road, we’ll decide then which path to take, and because I have Isabelle at my side, I know it will be the right road.

My efficient steps slacken when Isabelle firms her grip around my waist. Her breathing shortens as her wide eyes peer across at something across the horizon. When I follow the direction of her gaze, a sense of unease overwhelms me. Ophelia is standing at an intersection crossroad, waiting for the pedestrian light to turn green. Bobby is holding her hand. He’s grown since the last time I saw him. Not by much, but enough to show he’s had a birthday between visits.

When Bobby’s face lights up, the color in Isabelle’s cheeks drains to her shoes. She’s not threatened by a five-year-old. What I suspected months ago was true. Isabelle was more than okay with me including Bobby in my plans to fund his and Jeremiah’s education. It’s the words Bobby is shouting that’s bringing her worst fear to fruition.

  “Daddy! Daddy!”

A mere second after the pedestrian light commences beeping, Bobby shoots across the road. He’s too fast for his mom, his strides as long and efficient as the pounding of my heart. He races my way, the joy on his face unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Except he’s not running for me. He sidesteps me without a backward glance as if we’ve never met. His focus is on a man behind me, one I’m certain was unaware about mine and Isabelle’s unplanned trip to New York this afternoon.

He runs straight into the arms of Brandon.

  The End.

  Part I

Nikolai: A Mafia Prince Romance Sample

  Blurb:

When opposing sides of the law collide, it isn't just the rules being broken.

Justine Walsh dreamed about being an architect when she was a child, but when her brother was served a life sentence for murder, her plans altered. Now she's a first-year intern at the best defense firm in the country. She's seeking help from the right side of the law, so the last place she expects to find it is in a man who's far from lawful.

Nikolai Popov was raised in a criminal entity that is as bigoted as it's violent. He's lived a hard and fast life which often sees him facing a line-up, yet he's not spent one night behind bars.

After a mix-up with Nikolai's home arrest documentation, Justine is thrust into the dark and dangerous world of the Russian mafia. Will she survive a second ti
ghtrope walk with a mafia prince, or is this one adventure no amount of smarts will see her win?

  1

Twenty-eight arrest warrants and fourteen DUIs in the past two years alone, plus a long list of felonies that fill a four page dossier, all achieved before his twenty-ninth birthday, which is only two short weeks away.

I drift my eyes to my mentor, Mr. Fletcher, bulldog defense attorney extraordinaire and general all-round badass. “How is he not serving thirty to life?”

He flashes me a ruthless grin, sending the giddiness in my head to a lower region. “Because he had a man like me working for him, but with his lawyer up and vanishing, we have a perfect opportunity to secure him on our books. We want this client, Justine, even more than Clay wants to bed the assistant district attorney.”

Stumped for a better reply, I smile. I’ve only been interning at Schluter & Fletcher the past three months, but I’m already aware of Clay’s hope to get frisky with Sasha Sheridan, assistant district attorney. Even when they’re clashing in the courtroom, Clay’s interests are abundantly clear.

Before I can issue a response respectful for a first-year law graduate, a female police officer cracks open a secure entrance in the Las Vegas PD arsenal of properties. While holding the door open with her curvy hip, she scans our frozen frames. I’m not offended when her gaze lingers on Mr. Fletcher longer than me. For a man ten years my senior, he has looks that rival the men featured in People’s sexiest man competition. He’s handsome with inky black hair, unique colored eyes, and a body someone who works eighty plus hours a week shouldn’t have.
