Matt did his best not to answer.
“How do you know?” Jason repeated, sounding rattled.
“Damon Harris told me.”
“How the fuck does Damon Harris know I’m dating Will?” Jason shook his head, stunned by Matt’s answer.
“He told me that him and Lexi saw you having dinner together at some café in town. You were holding hands in some booth seat or something.”
“Oh god. You don’t think they’ll tell Todd, do you?” Jason clasped a hand to his mouth. “They can’t tell Todd.”
“Why?” Matt asked.
“Well, for starters, Todd by all accounts is an A grade homophobic arsehole according to Will and so is their father. They will make life hell for Will if they find out he’s gay. They might even cut him out of the family or something.”
Matt frowned. “Do you really think that’s what would happen? It sounds a bit fucking extreme.”
“Yeah, I agree with you. It sounds unlikely. I have said that to Will but he insists I don’t know them.” Jason sighed. “I think Will is over reacting but if he says he doesn’t want them to know then I don’t either. Not until he’s ready.”
“But he’s moving to Sydney.”
“True.” Jason smiled softly. “But he has asked if we can keep dating while he’s over there.”
“That’s pretty fucking long distance, Jason.”
Jason laughed. “No, Matty. It isn’t as bad as you think. He’s promised to fly back every second weekend.”
“Really?” Matt said with too much surprise in his voice.
“Yes, really. It’s only a four-hour flight. It isn’t like he’s moving to the moon. And it’s not like he can’t afford it”
“True,” Matt mumbled. “So, you’re worried that if the family find out he won’t come back?”
Jason touched his nose. “Bingo! You got it in one.”
Matt shuffled his feet under the table, feeling bad for worrying Jason. “I don’t think Damon will say anything.”
Jason scoffed. “You reckon? I wouldn’t be so sure. A spoilt brat like Damon Harris would love to go telling everyone gossip like that.” He looked up at the ceiling. “I’d be surprised if he hasn’t already.”
“He isn’t like that, Jason. He’s actually quite nice.”
“Well, he’s told you of all people.” Jason blinked, a deep groove formed between his brows. “Speaking of which when did Damon tell you? We only went to that café last night.”
Matt felt his body jolt. “Umm…”
Jason drummed his fingers along the table, urging Matt to tell him. “When did he tell you?”
Matt dropped his hands to his knees and squeezed them tightly, turning his gaze away.
“He’s the guy isn’t he?” Jason said loudly, slapping the table with excited glee. “Damon Harris was your fucking date!”
“Keep your voice down,” Matt growled in a whisper. “I don’t want the entire neighbourhood knowing.”
Jason burst out laughing. “Oh my God! This is priceless.”
“It’s not funny, Jason.”
Jason patted his chest, catching his breath. “Sorry. No, it’s not funny. It’s just… fucking unbelievable is what it is!” He looked like he had won a cash prize. His own closet case scandal suddenly seemed minor in comparison. “Well done, Matty Pie!”
Matt raised an eyebrow. “Thank you.”
Jason pulled his chair forward. “Details. Who was top? How big is his cock and was he any good?”
“Huh?” Matt shook his head. “What’s top?”
“I have so much I have to teach you.” Jason smiled. “Top is the guy who does the fucking. Bottom is the one who gets fucked.”
“Oh…”
“So which one were you?” Jason’s eyes were wide, hungry to gobble up the answer.
“I was the bottom then, I guess.” Matt rubbed his chest, nervous at the intimate discussion.
Jason laughed again. “Holy shit. You got fucked. I honestly thought if you were gonna go that way you’d be the one topping.”
“You don’t have to make fun of me, Jason,” Matt huffed, folding his arms.
“Sorry, sorry. No, I am not making fun. I’m just surprised you bottomed, that’s all. But then, I can’t imagine Damon being a bottom either to be fair.”
Matt bit his lip, nodding. “If you say so.”
“Don’t be a sour puss. I’m jealous as all hell.” He whacked Matt’s arm, smiling. “You went and scored the hottest guy in town.”
“You reckon?” Matt said, knowing Damon was.
“Aha. Not that I’d tell Will this but damn… Damon Harris is like mmm delicious.” Jason kissed his fingers like an Italian chef.
Matt chuckled, feeling proud. “Yeah, he is handsome isn’t he.”
“So how big is his cock?”
“I’m not telling you that!” Matt said.
“Why not?”
“How would you feel if I asked how big Will’s cock is?”
“It’s only about five inches and bends ever so slightly to the left.”
“I really didn’t need to know that.” Matt laughed. He looked across at Jason and whispered, “Only five inches?”
Jason nodded. “Yep. I have been told that the Jenkins brothers are not known for their size in the pants department.”
“How would he know about Todd?”
“They may or may not have played doctors and doctors together past an appropriate age,” Jason said, wiggling his eyebrows.
“Eww,” Matt laughed.
“But in my man’s defence, he sure as shit knows how to use what God gave him, and is a freak with his tongue.” Jason tapped Matt on the arm again. “Your turn. How big is Damon.”
Matt sighed, hesitant to divulge such personal details.
“I told you about my guy,” Jason bleated, pulling puppy dog eyes.
Matt let a silence hang over the room before finally giving in. “He’s about 7 inches. A good thickness and it looks perfect just like the rest of him.” Matt laughed to himself, shaking his head in disbelief. “I didn’t know there was such a thing as a pretty cock but he definitely has one.”
“You sound like you’re fully converted to the gay brigade now,” Jason teased.
“I wouldn’t say that. There’s just something special about Damon.” Matt saw the weird look Jason was giving him so he added, “And something special about his pretty cock.”
“That’s the spirit, Matty Pie.” Jason looked almost proud of him.
“I just can’t believe my luck. He’s so fucking awesome.” Matt sighed. “I really, really like him.”
Jason’s smile soon faded and was replaced with a weary glare. “But isn’t he dating Zoe Benton?”
“Yeah, I think so.”
“Don’t you think maybe it would be wise to not get too attached then?”
“What do you mean?”
“He has a girlfriend, Matty.”
“So?” Matt said indignantly.
“So… I am saying don’t get your hopes up with a guy who is just using you for fun.”
Jason’s words stabbed Matt in the heart, twisting his love ‘till it bled. “Oh, what? So I’m not good enough for him to like me?”
“Sorry. That’s not what I am saying. Of course you are good enough. More than good enough.”
“It doesn’t fucking sound like it,” Matt hissed.
“I’m just saying be careful. Boys like that can be bad for your health.”
“We’ve done it more than just last night,” Matt said, clinging for proof of Damon’s feelings. “If he didn’t like me then why would he come back?”
“Okay, okay,” Jason said, throwing his hands in the air. “I just don’t want you to get hurt that’s all.”
“Whatever,” Matt muttered.
Jason pursed his lips, giving him a concerned look. “Matty, you forget I have done my tour of duty with dickhead men. Now, I’m not saying Damon’s a dickhead, but I know from experience there
is a lot of guys out there who are married or have girlfriends and have fun on the side. That’s all it is to them fun. As soon as they cum you become a dirty little secret never mentioned again ‘till they need you to suck them off or bend over.”
Matt swallowed a dry lump in his throat from the strange coincidence of Jason’s past experiences. “He’s not like that.”
“I hope not. Guys like that are fucking nightmares. Society is so hung up about everybody needing labels these days that it makes guys like this hard to pin down. They’re not gay, they’re not even bi… they’re this sort of fucked up grey zone no one ever talks about. But there’s plenty of them.”
“What are they?” Matt asked, confused.
“Sexual opportunists,” Jason said bluntly. “That’s the best I can come up with. I mean, yes, they like fun with guys, but they sure as shit won’t let you put them in that box for life. And you know what? I don’t blame them. It’s not the easiest box to be in.”
Matt giggled. “I can’t see you ever getting inside someone’s box.”
Jason rolled his eyes. “Please promise me you’ll never try and become a comedian.”
“But what makes guys like this such nightmares?”
“Like I said. Sexual opportunists. They live by some fucked up philosophy like any hole’s a goal. And if it’s your hole being used then you may as well call yourself a cum rag.”
Matt’s stomach tied in a dark knot. Am I just a goal? Am I Damon’s cum rag? He willed himself to try and untie the knot. “Once you get to know him you’ll see. Damon isn’t like that.”
Jason smiled, unconvincingly. “I’m sure you’re right.”
CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT:
Play His Cards Right
It was Saturday night, another lovely warm evening was unravelling, beckoning for the young to be restless. This is exactly what Matt was doing. Being reckless.
He had just walked the long distance from Poverty Peak to trendy Beaumont Boulevard, on his way to see Damon. He had trudged along, willing himself to be brave, just turn up like it was nothing out of the ordinary.
Jason had insisted Matt talk to Damon as soon as possible, beg him not to say anything to Todd about what him and Lexi had seen the night before. At first, Matt was reluctant, scared to bowl on up to the Harris household unannounced. It wasn’t Jason’s continuous pleading that had changed Matt’s mind—although Jason was not going to take no for an answer—it was knowing that it would give him a chance to see Damon again.
He worried Damon would find it odd, his turning up, just to speak about Jason and Will. He worried more so that Damon would see through the façade and know that the real reason for Matt’s visit was just to see Damon’s face again.
Matt wondered if Damon would bring up what had happened between them. Will he say thank you again? Will he tell me how amazing it was? How amazing I am? These hopeful thoughts were what helped Matt make the long trek in record time, his feet moving in ambitious steps to his dreamy destination.
Matt scuffed his feet to a stop when he found himself standing outside the Harris household. He looked up and saw Damon’s bedroom light on. Okay, so he isn’t downstairs with the family at least. Matt took that as a sign the two of them could at least hang out alone.
He took a deep breath of the spring air peppered with the smell of the sea. “I can do this,” he mumbled to himself, willing his feet to walk up to the front door.
Matt knocked twice, feeble quiet taps, concerned about making too much too much noise. When no one came to the door, he forced himself to bang louder, giving his presence away. When the door handle finally turned, Matt stepped back, wearing a friendly smile.
“Matthew. Hello,” Jenna said. She looked surprised to see him.
“Hi, Jenna. I was just wondering if Damon was in?”
Jenna squinted, looking like she was about to quiz Matt on his visit. He had already prepared a long bullshit spiel about some malarkey to do with upcoming exams, but to his relief it wasn’t needed. She stroked her hair, nodding. “He’s up in his room I think. Do come in.”
“Thank you.” Matt went to take his shoes off but Jenna stopped him.
“Don’t worry about taking your shoes off. We have a cleaner who does a good job at vacuuming the floor.”
Matt smiled. “He will be here Monday to do it again.”
“Good to know,” Jenna said. She pointed at the stairs. “Go on up. I don’t think they are doing anything important up there.”
They?
Before Matt could ask who, they were, Jenna had walked off to the lounge.
Fuck I hope it’s not Todd. Please don’t be Todd.
Matt climbed the stairs with legs that wobbled like jelly. At the top of the landing, he looked ahead to Damon’s bedroom. The door was closed. A thin strip of light crept out from under the small gap at the bottom. Matt could hear music playing, but no voices to give away who else was in there. He wiped his clammy hands on his pants, walked ahead and knocked on the door.
“Come in,” Damon’s voice called.
Matt politely opened the door, stepping in to find Damon sat at his study desk, nodding his head in time to the music. “Hi,” Matt said as his throat contracted, his greeting coming out like a whisper.
Damon frowned, he got up and went and turned the music down. “Matty, what brings you here?” He sounded friendly but puzzled by his unexpected guest.
Matt looked around the room, trying to see any sign of another person. There didn’t appear to be anyone else. Then, lightly in the background, Matt heard the sound of the shower running in Damon’s ensuite.
“Is this a bad time?” Matt asked.
“No.” Damon lifted a finger to his lips like he was about to shush Matt to be quiet. “Depends why you’re here though I guess.”
Matt knew straight away this was Damon telling him to not speak about their unspeakable acts. “Oh… I umm just came to ask if you had told Todd about his brother and Jason.”
Damon shook his head, frowning at the bizarre question. “No. Why?”
“Jason visited me today and he freaked out knowing other people knew. He’s really worried that people might say something to Todd or the family about Will being… you know.” Matt couldn’t bring himself to sat the word. “He asked me if I could ask you to not say anything. Please.”
Damon nodded. “It’s okay. Me and Lexi didn’t plan on telling Todd anything. Will’s secret is safe with us.”
“Awesome,” Matt said. “Jason will be stoked.”
“Yes. I believe it’s important to keep some things to ourselves.” Damon narrowed his eyes. “Otherwise shit can get a bit messy don’t you think?” The words hung like a thinly veiled threat.
Matt gulped down a dry swallow. “Definitely,” he uttered.
Damon walked over to his window, gazing outside at the darkening night. He swung round, pivoting on his heel, scanning Matt up and down. “You walked all the way here just to ask me that?”
“Yes,” Matt lied.
Damon ran a hand through his hair, chuckling to himself. “You know, we are in the phonebook. You could have just called me.”
Matt’s pale complexion betrayed him like it always did; his cheeks becoming dusted with red. “I didn’t think of that.”
“Oh, I think you did.” Damon strode right up to him, pushing his face into Matt’s personal space. “I think maybe there’s another reason.”
“Like?” Matt asked in a frail voice.
“Like, maybe you just wanted to come see me?” Damon’s heavy breath poured over Matt’s sinuses. “Be honest.”
Matt’s posture stiffened. “Possibly…”
Damon swivelled his neck around, flicking his eyes to the ensuite door, establishing whether they were safe from intrusion. He turned his gaze back to Matt. “Did you like it that much, did you?” He tapped Matt’s shoe with his foot, lowering his voice, “Having my cock inside you?”
Matt squirmed. He felt like prey. Prey that should know be
tter and run for its life, but secretly wanting to be captured.
Damon kept smiling at him, running his tongue along his teeth. “Something tells me you fucking loved it.” He extended his hand, running a finger down Matt’s chest. “You took every inch like a pro. I was impressed.”
“Thank you,” Matt mumbled. “I liked having you in me.”
Damon’s hand swooped down to Matt’s crotch, grabbing hold of his balls. Matt gasped.
“Only liked it?” Damon said, his eyes burning devilishly.
Matt froze, his nuts locked in Damon’s grasp. “I more than liked it,” he whispered as Damon tightened his grip. “I… I loved it. I loved you fucking me.”
Damon let go of him. “I know. I could tell.”
“What about you?” Matt asked. “Did you like it?”
Damon slowly nodded. “Yeah. I think so.”
Matt decided to be brave. He put his hand out, rubbing Damon’s crotch affectionately. “Would you fuck me again?” The question carried considerable hope.
CLICK. The ensuite door popped open. It scared the crap out of them both. Matt ripped his hand away from Damon’s crotch, leaping backwards.
No one appeared at first in the fog of shower heat wafting out. Finally, through the mist, wrapped in nothing but a white towel was the source of many of Matt’s nocturnal emissions.
Lexi Prebble!
“Oh, gosh,” Lexi said, startled by Matt being in the room. She quickly tucked the towel tighter around her cleavage. “Sorry, Matt. I didn’t know you were here.”
“Hi.” Matt gave her a limp wave.
Lexi walked to the edge of Damon’s bed, picking up a bag Matt had not spotted. “I didn’t know you two,” Lexi gathered her thoughts. “hung out.”
Matt didn’t know how to answer her, luckily, he didn’t have to.
“There’s lots you don’t know about me,” Damon said cheekily. “Matty here is one of my pals. We’ve gotten to know each other quite well since he started working as our cleaner.”
“Yeah,” Matt said.
Lexi nodded, clutching her bag in one hand, keeping the towel in place with the other. “I feel sorry for you having to clean up after this one.” She pointed at Damon, giggling. “I dread to think what you find lurking under his bed.”
