And then I reconsidered and went into the VIP area.

The girls I’d given VIP passes to were there.

The taller one, the redhead, was talking to a dark-haired guy and sipping a drink.

But the other girl, the shorter one, was sitting on one of the couches. She held a cocktail but wasn’t drinking it.

  She looked nervous.

After grabbing a drink, I went toward her, sitting on the other end of the empty couch. “Hey.”

She jumped, turning her head to look at me. “Oh! Um, hi.”

I held my bottle up, gesturing around the VIP area. “This seemed more like your speed.”

She laughed nervously. “Yeah, uh… This was my friend’s idea. I’m not a big partier.”

I nodded. “It’s cool. It happens. I thought this would be better for you.” I turned my head, looking at the redhead. She was a little skinny for my tastes.

  This girl was perfect.

I extended my right hand. “Colton. Or, y’know, DJ Pike.”

  She laughed. “Emma.”

  “Good to meet you, Emma.”

She nodded. “Yeah, good to meet you, too.” She smiled, letting go of my hand and shifting uneasily.

But she didn’t look away from me.

I shifted just a little closer.

The music quieted, and the host came over the mic. After his intro, he started in on the spiel. “Some of our beautiful ladies will be bringing around baskets of fruit for anyone who wants to play, so partner up! Find somebody you’re hoping to get lucky with and grab a basket, folks, and let’s have some fun!”

A handful of the models I hired for the week came in, carrying small baskets on their arms. I watched as the redhead grabbed one, hooking her other arm around the man she was talking to.

Other people in the VIP section grabbed them, too.

  Emma didn’t.

I looked at her, raising my eyebrows. “You wanna play?”

She blinked in surprise. “You… want to play with me?”

  More than she knew.

I laughed. “Why not? It’s stupid. We’ll laugh a lot, at least.”

  “Okay, sure.”

I waved to one of the models, and she brought me a basket. “C’mon, we gotta stand up.”

  “Okay.”

Emma rose. I got up, too, standing near the couch with her.

I knew the drill by now. It was the same every night. I grabbed a lemon and held it out to her.

  “What do I—”

“Just listen. He’ll tell you what to do.”

She nodded, holding the lemon nervously with both hands.

The host spoke again. “All right! One of you grab the lemon out of the basket, folks, the lemon. And you’re gonna hold it under your chin. No hands, that’s cheating! Stand about five steps back from your partner with the lemon under your chin, all right?”

I watched Emma nervously tuck the lemon under her chin, tilting her head down to hold it in place. Her brows furrowed in concentration.

“Okay! And now you’re gonna walk toward your partner and hand off the lemon, get it under their chin. Remember, no hands! That’s for later.” He laughed.

The jokes were always the same.

But I’d never actually played before, so I had to admit, I was excited.

This stupid game would put me closer to Emma, and that was good.

She looked at me, one eyebrow raised. I couldn’t help but laugh a little, shrugging.

  “That’s how it goes.”

“Okay.” She shrugged and, once the host counted to three, started toward me.

Her steps were small, a little unsteady. She wasn’t even buzzed yet, so she didn’t have to work against the alcohol.

As she approached, I crouched a little, tilting sideways with my head back.

Her chest pressed against mine first. I could feel her warmth, and the firmness of her tits.

Getting through these games was going to be a lot harder than I’d imagined.

I tilted toward her. We were pressed close together, almost close enough to kiss.

She shoved the lemon against my throat. I bent my head to take it and caught a whiff of her scent—coconut sunscreen, jasmine, gardenia.

  My cock twitched in approval.

I shifted a little, adjusting my hold on the lemon. “I got it!”

“Okay!” She let go, backing away a step.

I held the lemon in place, grinning. After a moment, I grabbed it in my hands and dropped it back into the basket.

  The orange was next.

“All right, all right, all right! Everybody grab the orange and get real close to one another!”

Emma blinked at me, eyebrows raised.

I held the orange with both hands, pressing it against my stomach, just above the belly button. The host explained for everyone to do what I’d just done, then…

“And now, my second person, you’re gonna come close so you’re holding the orange in place with your stomach, too. And you gotta work together now, find out how compatible you are. See if you can make magic happen together. Roll the orange up your bodies, as close to your chins as you can get. No hands, same rules as before. And… go!”

  Emma gasped softly, moving closer.

Our hips were almost pressed together.

  God, I wanted her.

  She grinned, her expression tight.

  Maybe this was too much.

“It’s okay.” I smiled, trying to be reassuring. “We’ll just… see how far we get.”

  “Okay.”

She moved first, arching a little and trying to push the orange upward.

I held still, letting her move.

  Our bodies fit together perfectly.

Emma looked up, our eyes meeting.

She looked nervous, but behind that, there was heat.

  Desire.

  She felt it, too.

The orange dropped between our feet, but she didn’t pull away.

I put one hand on her hip.

“The orange.” She gestured to it.

“It’s okay. There’s one more game, anyway.”

  “Oh.”

I laughed softly. “Uh, the banana game.”

  “What’s the banana game?”

“One of us holds it between our legs and the other one has to peel it with their mouth.”

Even in the dim light, I could see her cheeks flush red.

“You pick which one you want to do.”

  “I’ll, uh… Peel it.”

  “Okay.”

I picked up the banana as the host introduced the game, wedging it between my thighs—not quite up against my dick but close.

Hesitantly, Emma got down on her knees.

  “And… go!”

She grabbed the stem between her teeth, tugging it to one side. The peel cracked and I watched as she guided the side she held back toward my hips.

Did she have any idea how sexy that looked?

I bit my lower lip. She released the first part of the peel and move to grab a second, pulling it back as well.

Her head was so close to my dick. I was getting hard—there was nothing I could do to stop it.

She looked up at me, and I almost moaned.

Finally, she grabbed the last piece of the peel, on top of the banana. She had to shift sideways, pulling it close to my body.

  Closer.

  So fucking close.

And she let go, right before she made contact with my half-erect cock.

  My mouth felt dry.

“Did it!” She sounded so cheerful as she hopped to her feet.

  I nodded slowly. “Sure did.”

She looked at me, blinking. “So, um… is there more?”

“No, that’s… that’s it.” I took a deep breath. “I gotta get back on stage, but… hey, there’s an after party tonight. You and your friend should come. VIPS only, the regulars get kicked out at midnight.”

For a moment, Emma looked unsure. Then, she nodded. “Yeah, okay.
Sounds good.”

“Cool. I won’t be playing, so we can hang out?”

  “I’d like that.”

Good. She felt the spark, too.

I smiled. “I’ll see you then.”

I turned to go back toward the stage.

  Chapter Five

  Emma

The thought of staying up any later for the after party was exhausting, but… I really wanted to hang out with Colton a little longer.

Marilyn was happy to stay, of course. She was really getting along with the guy she’d started talking to—Braeden or Brendan or something like that—and wanted to stick around.

So I parked on the couch, except for going to get drinks, and waited for the after party.

At midnight, just like Colton had said, bouncers started to go around the main area.

With everyone gone, I could really see how huge the club was. The swimming pool in the middle of the room was bigger than a standard home pool, and the dance floor looked as big as my apartment.

Marilyn really had picked an incredible place.

I stayed on the couch, watching Marilyn talk with her guy for the night. She caught me looking and smiled, then came over to sit beside me.

  “What’s up, Em?”

I shrugged. “That guy, uh, Colton? He wants me to stay for the party.”

  “Okay! You totally should!”

Of course, she would say that.

  “I just… I’m kinda nervous, you know?”

  “Why?”

“Because I think I like him.”

Marilyn grinned. “Even more reason to stay.”

  “Okay, but…”

“Emma. This whole trip is about living it up. Like, you never let yourself have fun, you know?”

  She was right.

  But I was still nervous.

“Look.” She spoke gently this time, trying to be comforting. “You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do. Okay?”

  I nodded.

“But… being outside your comfort zone, just a little bit, isn’t bad for you. You’ve gotta try new things to see if you like them.”

  That was a fair point.

“Okay.” I nodded. “I’ll stay. And hang out with him.”

“Good.” Marilyn glanced over my shoulder. Her guy had gone over to the bar and was in the process of ordering more drinks. “Look, I might go back to his room tonight. You okay on your own?”

Of course, I was. I spent a lot of time alone. “Yeah. I will be.”

“Okay. Good.” She smiled. “I’m gonna go try to get laid. If you need me, call, okay?”

“I will. Go have fun, Marilyn.”

  “See you soon, Em.”

  She got up and left.

  I sighed.

A moment later, I heard someone approaching.

I bit my lip, hope making my stomach flutter.

  “Emma? Hey.”

  Colton.

  Chapter Six

  Colton

I sat down on the couch with Emma.

She looked a little sleepy but was smiling. The after party was quieter, and she seemed much more relaxed already.

After a moment, she moved a little closer. “You, uh. You’re a good DJ.”

“Thank you!” I grinned. “Hear any of your favorites?”

“Oh, uh… I don’t really listen to dance music.”

She was trying, and that was really cute.

“It’s okay. Honestly, I listen to all kinds. Like, I listen to a lot of stuff that would fit in at the club, but when I’m working in the office, it’s usually like… classical or folk.”

She lit up. “Okay, I love folk. Who do you listen to most?”

We chatted about music for a while. We actually had a lot of artists in common. The conversation bled over into books, and she told me about her job as a librarian.

It actually sounded neat, the way she described it.

She was cool. Quiet and reserved, but the more we talked, the more animated she became.

I definitely still wanted her, just as badly as I’d wanted her when she was peeling that stupid banana.

“Hey. You, uh… you don’t have a boyfriend or anything, do you?”

Emma blinked rapidly, then shook her head. “No, uh… single. Are you… seeing anyone?”

“No, not at all.” I laughed nervously.

She smiled. “That’s good. I mean… You know what I mean, right?”

  “I do. Don’t worry, I got it.”

“Okay.” She laughed nervously, looking down at her hands.

I shifted toward her. “Can I kiss you?”

Her head snapped back up. “What?”

“I just… I want to kiss you, Emma.”

She bit her lip, glancing over my shoulder. Probably at her friend. Then, she nodded.

I leaned close, my head tilted. She looked up at me, not closing her eyes until the last second.

  Our lips met.

  I needed her.

She shifted closer as we kissed, one of her hands moving to my knee.

  I wanted it higher.

  Slowly, I pulled back.

“Do you want to go to my place? Listen to some music?”

Emma nodded. “Yeah. I’d love to.”

  * * * * *

We got back to my place, and I put a vinyl on my record player. Emma settled on the couch in my living room to listen.

She was wearing a sundress over a green bathing suit, the same color as her eyes, her hair in braided pigtails.

  She looked gorgeous.

I poured two glasses of wine and brought them out, sitting beside her.

She took one of the glasses and drank deeply.

I put one hand on her thigh. She looked up, cheeks flushing red.

  “Can I kiss you again?”

“Yeah.” She nodded. “That… that sounds nice.”

  Nice.

  God, that was adorable.

I leaned close, kissing her again.

Immediately, she wrapped both arms around my neck, tugging me closer.

I wasn’t going to disappoint her.

I wrapped my arms around her, tugging her into my lap. She came willingly, straddling my hips.

There was no way she could miss how hard my dick was, just from kissing her.

She pulled back from the kiss, breathless. “I’ve never done this before.”

“Done what? Hooked up with a guy you just met?”

Slowly, she shook her head. “I’ve never…”

  Oh, no.

  “Are you a virgin?”

She went as red as the wine, nodding slowly.

I smiled and gave her a little pat on the hip. “Emma… maybe we shouldn’t, then.”

  “What? Why?”

“Well, I… I mean, it’s kinda… significant, right? You should be with somebody you care about. Not, y’know. A stranger.”

  Emma’s shoulders sagged.

Shit, I hadn’t meant to hurt her.

I hesitated. “Look, we can hang out, kiss more, but…”

  “Wait.”

I went silent, letting her speak.

“All my life, I’ve been the good girl. I always studied hard, worked hard. Did well at everything, except having friends. And dating. I… I want to do this, okay? Marilyn brought me here so I could let loose and… and let myself have fun for once. And that’s what I’m doing.”

  I nodded slowly. “Okay.”

  “Okay?”

“If you’re sure you want to, then let’s go.”

  “Okay.”

Emma rose. Her smile was back. “Take me to bed?”

I took her hand and stood. Together, we went down the hall.

  Chapter Seven

  Emma

Colton walked me down the hall of his apartment to his room and turned on the light. It was dim, red-tinted. Sexy.

And his bed looked way more comfortable than the one in the hotel room.

He stopped me before I could lay down, pulling my
dress off over my head. I lifted my arms to help him, letting him toss it to the floor.

I wrapped my arms around him and pulled him into a kiss.

I’d never kissed anyone like this before. I’d had a few kisses in college, but none were as hot, as delicious as this. Colton’s scruff tickled my chin, and he tasted like wine.

His hands moved to my waist, and he lifted me up, setting me down on the bed.

I looked up at him, breathless already. My body was on fire.

I’d never needed something like this before.

I reached for him, undoing the button of his jeans and pulling them down. Colton took his own shirt off, looking down at me.

“You know, when you were doing that thing with the banana… That was really hot.”

I felt myself blush and looked up. “Really?”

  “Yeah.”

I bit my lower lip and pushed his underwear down. He stepped out of his clothes, looking at me with his eyebrows raised.

I closed my hand around him, stroking a few times before guiding him into my mouth.

I’d never let myself do this before, and now I was obsessed. I wanted him. I wanted him to do everything to me, anything he wanted.

I closed my eyes, working slowly, enjoying the feel of Colton’s hands in my hair, the noises he made.

He pulled out far too soon, moaning once more.

“We gotta get you out of that swimsuit.”

I looked up at him and smiled, reaching to undo the halter tie. I unclipped the back, too, and dropped it to the floor at the foot of the bed.

Then I laid back, resting on my elbows, and lifted my hips.

Colton understood. He grabbed the waist of my bottoms and pulled them down, licking his lips at the sight.

He moved to lie on the bed with me, kissing me hungrily. His hands slid over my body, lingering on my breasts for a moment before one slipped between my legs.

He pushed one finger into me. I tilted my head back, moaning.

“God, you’re tight.” He kissed the corner of my mouth, then lower, along my neck.

  I gasped softly, hips rocking.

He worked a second finger in, spreading them apart inside me.

I wrapped both arms around his neck again, keeping him close.

“I want you.” I kissed his jaw between words.

  “You think you’re ready?”

  I nodded.

He sat up, opening his nightstand drawer and grabbing a condom. I watched as he rolled it on.

He guided me to lean back, laying above me.
