I was glad the rain stopped play on this occasion because my side and hip were really starting to hurt from the fall I had on the boat.
When Millie suggested that she and Daisy make play dough in the kitchen, I said I would go upstairs and have a bath.
When I took off my clothes I couldn’t believe the bruising already starting to form around my ribs and hip, but I hoped the warmth of the bath would ease the ache that was starting to take over my side.
I felt really tired today, which wasn’t surprising as we had been on the go non-stop since Daisy had woken us up this morning.
I still couldn’t believe I had made love to Freya last night. It was an incredible experience and one I wanted to happen again very soon, although with how much I ached at the moment, I don’t think it would be anywhere near as athletic as the sex we had over her bath and in her shower last night. My cock had sprung to life just thinking about it. I ignored it the best I could and washed my hair and body before climbing out and getting dry.
Wrapping the towel around my waist I walked into the bedroom and was shocked to find Freya laid on the bed. She was fully clothed but wore a smile that said she appreciated my near nakedness.
“I thought I would just come up and check on you while Daisy is busy playing so…” Freya stopped mid-sentence and jumped off the bed when she noticed the bruising on my side. She came towards me and pulled the towel away from my waist.
“Is this from your accident on the boat?” Freya almost whispered as she traced her fingers over the bruising on my ribs and hip.
“Yes,” I said trying to sound calm, as though the fact that she was touching me wasn’t making my cock twitch.
“Why didn’t you say anything earlier, Dan? I could have helped you.”
“It’s just bruising Freya; you couldn’t have helped with this.”
“I could give you some of my blood, which would take it away.”
I took a step back, not sure how I felt about taking blood from her.
“You wouldn’t have to take much. Just a few sips would probably do it.”
I just looked at her warily. She seemed a little hurt by it, and that made me feel bad.
“Please Dan, don’t be scared of me or my blood. I would never do anything to hurt you, just let me take the pain away. I feel so guilty knowing you must have been aching all day, and yet you never said anything. You must have hit something hard when it swung you off.”
“Yeah, I hit the box with the lifejackets and rope,” I answered, wincing as I recalled the pain I felt on impact.
Freya walked over to the door and locked it before coming back, taking my hand and leading me over to the bed. She removed her top and jeans leaving her in a white bra and pink lacy knickers. Freya kissed me softly, and I reached up to cup her face in my hands to keep her kissing me.
Freya’s kisses were a great pain reliever in themselves, but she pulled away from me and asked me again if I would take some of her blood. Her grey eyes were glassy and looked directly into the blue of my own.
“You aren’t going to cry are you Freya?” I asked in a panic as I pulled her closer. “Honestly, it’s not that bad, but if it makes you feel better, I will have some of your blood.”
“Thank you, Dan. It will make me feel better to know that I could do this for you. I can’t stand the fact that you are hurting.”
A few moments later she removed her bra and knickers and straddled my cock.
“Don’t be alarmed at what you see next Dan, remember I will never hurt you,” Freya said, as the nail on her left index finger seemed to grow into a long point before she made a cut in her left breast. She sank onto my cock, enveloping it into her tight wet heat, then she rose back up and placed the bleeding breast in my mouth.
I thought her blood would have the same metallic taste as mine did, but after I swallowed the initial few drops it took on a sweeter taste entirely and I was hooked. Freya sank back down on my cock and rode me as I sucked on her blood. The ache in my side started to disappear, and I was able to thrust my hips up to meet her downward moves, so I slammed into her hard and deep.
The sex was out of this world and judging by the noises Freya was making, she felt the same.
She grabbed my hair and pulled my mouth away from her breast and kissed me hard. It was too much for me, and I felt the familiar tingle start in my balls, and I knew I would come soon, so I reached down and used the back of my knuckle to rub her clit. She grabbed my hand and showed me how much pressure and speed she needed to get her off, and with her help it didn’t take either of us long to get there.
I didn’t stop kissing her as we came, partly to hide the sounds of pleasure we were both making, and partly because kissing Freya was pure pleasure in itself. She stopped kissing me and licked her way up to my ear.
“Next time it will be me swallowing your blood, right after I swallow your come,” Freya said in a breathless voice.
My already semi hard cock rose back to full attention inside her with those words. I rolled her over and started to make love to her with a deep but gentle rhythm, which she matched meeting me thrust for thrust. I peppered kisses all over her face until I recognised that little hitch in her breathing that told me she was starting to come.
Then I watched her come apart underneath me, her mouth open as she gasped and said my name, the pink flush that spread over her chest and throat, and her eyelids that became heavy when she blinked away the glaze that appeared in them.
I had never seen Freya look more beautiful as she did at that moment, and I had looked at this woman many times over the years. But I knew this would be a look that would stay with me forever because it was the exact moment I knew I was in love with her.
Chapter Twenty-Nine
Keeley
Josh had set up the laptop on the bed as we awaited a Skype call from Daisy. My heart skipped a beat when I heard her shout ‘Mummy’ in her excited little voice. Josh adjusted the laptop screen so Daisy could see us both, and I tried not to cry as I told her I loved her.
Freya and Dan sat either side of Daisy, and I said hello to them while Josh sat down and got comfortable at the side of me.
“Hello Daddy,” Daisy yelled in Freya’s ear as she leant forward and waved at us both. This pushed her out of view of the camera on the laptop, so Dan made her sit down next to them again so we could see her.
“Hey pretty girl, what have you been doing on your holiday?” asked Josh.
“Well, I went to the beach and built sandcastles and then I beat Uncle Dan at tennis. And then today we went sailing in Frank’s boat and Uncle Dan was silly and had a fall,” Daisy said as she rolled her eyes. “And I won everyone at cricket today, oh and I made play dough with Millie,” she said holding up a pink lump.
“It’s a dog,” Daisy beamed proudly, although I couldn’t see a likeness to any animal at all.
“Wo, that’s great Daisy,” Josh and I said at the same time, and Daisy laughed.
“Are you better now Mummy? Did you have a cough?” she asked, trying to get closer to the screen again.
“I’m a little bit better love, but not well enough to look after you yet so you will have to sleep at Aunty Freya’s a bit longer if that’s okay.”
“Uncle Dan sleeped in Aunty Freya’s bed last night, but I don’t think they are going to get married and let me be a bridesmaid yet,” she sighed.
Dan tried to put his hand over Daisy’s mouth to stop her saying anything else, but the damage was already done. Josh looked part shocked, part furious and I could see him struggling to find the words he wanted to say.
“Leave it be Josh; this is our time with Daisy. Don’t spoil it for me,” I whispered in his ear.
“What have you got planned for tomorrow?” I asked changing the subject.
“I thought we could take Daisy to that aquarium in Hull. What’s it called Freya?” Dan asked.
“The Deep,” Freya replied. “Keeley and I went a couple of years ago, but I think it will be be
tter for Daisy to go at this age.”
“I’m going to see the fish, and there might even be a shark,” Daisy said making a funny, biting face at the camera.
“I’ll get Uncle Dan to take some pictures to send to you so you can look at them when you get better Mummy. I love you, Mummy and Daddy,” she said as she leaned forward and kissed the screen. “I’ve got to go now because I want to go to the toilet for a wee. Bye…” Daisy yelled, her voice getting lower as she ran out of the room.
“So you slept in Freya’s bed did you Dan?” asked Josh angrily. “What the hell are you two playing at, doing something like that with Daisy under your roof?”
“Don’t even go there Josh, this has nothing to do with you,” said Freya equally as angry.
“I can’t believe that you would sleep with my sister, Dan, she deserves someone who would treat her with a bit more respect than you will.”
“Yeah well I couldn’t believe you slept with my sister either, Josh. And what’s with all this respect shit. I do respect Freya.”
“The difference is I love your sister, Dan, so obviously I respect her.”
“Well I love your sister too, Josh, and I’ve always respected her.”
I didn’t miss Freya’s shocked gasp, and I watched with baited breath as Freya turned Dan’s face towards her and said, “Do you love me?”
“Yeah I do. I can’t help it,” he said as he touched her cheek.
“I’ve fallen for you too, Dan. It’s only the second time in over nine hundred and fifty years that I’ve said that to a man, and I didn’t think it would ever happen to me again,” Freya said before she kissed him.
I think they had forgotten we were still there watching because their kiss progressed into something special that only people in love can truly experience.
“Well, we better go then, guys. Talk to you again soon,” I said quickly closing our connection.
“Well, that was unexpected. I’m happy for them both, though, aren’t you?” I asked Josh. He got up from the bed and stormed over to the windows.
“Dan’s no good for her, Keeley, he will just hurt her when he finds another conquest.”
“What are you talking about, Josh? You just saw exactly the same as I did there. Those words of love were genuine and said from the heart. Anyone could see that.”
“They have only been together two days. How can they fall in love as fast as that?”
“Oh, I see what this is alright. Double fucking standards that’s what this is. Have you forgotten that I slept with you the first night that Daisy and I stayed at your house? And that you told me you loved me that night? Then let’s not forget the next morning when we agreed that we would get married and that you would be Daisy’s father.”
“That was different Keeley, and you know it. We had known each other for years, and I had fallen in love with you a long time before that night. Your brother has screwed around with most of the single women in Barrowfield and Rothley. He never has a shortage of women to keep his dick wet, and he loves the single life.”
“Not anymore Josh. Dan told me that last week. He was fed up with being single. He wanted to make some changes in his life. To find the right woman and settle down, that’s what he was after, and it looks like he’s done just that.”
“She’s too good for him,” he said angrily.
“Excuse me?” I screamed. “You are talking about my brother here, Josh, unless you have forgotten. The same lad that helped me take care of a new-born baby when I was a young single parent. The very same guy that helped me out financially when my dad was wasting all his money on whiskey, so that we could keep a roof over Daisy’s head. My brother has never once let me down, Josh, and I will not stand for you bad mouthing him, ever.”
I was so angry I was shaking. How dare he speak about my brother like that? As a family, we went through hell when my mum died, and dad had his breakdown. Dan and I were always close. We were friends as well as twins, and when all the bad stuff happened it felt like the only people we could really count on was each other. Even though we had Aunt Mags and Freya, although Dan never used to go with Freya and I because he had such a big crush on her.
“Dan has fancied Freya for years by the way. I once caught him doodling their names on a piece of paper. We would have been around fifteen at the time; I teased him about it, and he got mad. He would never go on those holidays and shopping trips she used to take me on, I thought he just had a big crush on her, but who knows, maybe it was much more than that?”
He said nothing, just carried on staring out of the window.
I left the bedroom and went to find Gregor. He was in his study drinking some expensive whiskey and looked like he was deep in thought.
“Hey Gregor, can I talk to you for a moment?”
“Of course Keeley, what do you want to talk about?” He motioned to the chair across from him and then offered me a drink. I wasn’t a big whiskey drinker, but I took one anyway to be sociable.
“Gregor…could I have my own room for tonight, away from Josh? I don’t want to impose, but I feel like I could strangle him at the moment if I don’t have some space.”
“I heard your argument. You have to realise that Josh is very protective of Freya. She has been through so much in her life, and he only wants the best for her,” he said as he swilled the whiskey around in his glass before drinking it.
“And he has to realise that I feel the same way about my brother. We have also had a lot of sadness in our lives, Gregor. As a family we are no stranger to heartbreak. I think they will be good for each other,” I said, then quickly realised how Gregor must be feeling. He denied there was anything going on with him and Freya but as friends went they were extremely close.
“Are you okay with Freya and my brother, Gregor? Or are you going to jump on the ‘I hate Dan bandwagon’?” I questioned.
If he was going to say the same stuff as Josh had, I was going straight back to my dad’s house. I would rather take my chance with Maxim than listen to people putting my family down.
“All I have ever wanted was for Freya to be happy. If your brother is the person to make that happen, I will be pleased for them both. We live a very long lonely life when we don’t have someone to love, Keeley. You are immortal now so you would do well to remember that. If you want to take another room here that is okay with me. But remember, despite what Joshua just said about your brother, he does love you.”
“I know that, Gregor, and I love him too. But I am loyal to my brother, and I will not have him spoken about like that, by anyone. My brother is a good man who deserves to be loved, just as much as Freya deserves to be loved.”
Gregor just nodded and poured another whiskey. I declined the offer of another and stood up to leave. I looked down at Gregor, and he seemed so forlorn that I walked over to him and hugged him tightly. I kissed him on the cheek and said, “Thank you for being such a good friend to me, Gregor, I’m glad that I have you in my life.”
He looked me in the eyes and smiled. “Keeley you are an exceptional woman, and I am also very happy to have you in my life too. I feel that our friendship will only get stronger as the years go on, and that is something I will treasure. You will always have me to come to if you need to. Never forget that,” he said as he stood up and held me. We seemed to stay like that for ages until I heard someone at the front door.
“I will go and see who that is,” Gregor said as he left the office.
I saw Josh on the stairs as I followed Gregor. He just stared at me, like he wanted to say something but couldn’t find the words. Well, I wasn’t going to help him with that. Love or no, he could take a running fucking jump if he didn’t apologise to me, Freya and Dan for what he had said.
Gregor greeted Alex at the door, and I groaned inwardly. Alex was going to be more protective than Josh over Freya. The last thing I needed was him ranting on about my brother.
“Joshua, I know you will want to tell Alex about the news you found out tonight, but know t
his, If I hear either one of you disrespect Keeley’s brother in any way you can both leave this house and not return, do you understand me?”
“What’s wrong, Gregor? Josh, why would we be disrespecting Daniel?”
“Your sister has fallen in love with Keeley’s brother, and it appears he feels the same for her in return. By disrespecting Keeley’s brother, you disrespect your sister and her choices, and that is unacceptable to me. I will also not allow Keeley to become upset. She has been through enough these last few days and does not need any more stress from small minded individuals. Now, I know you both have a lot to talk about so I suggest you do that while taking a walk around the grounds. It is a lovely evening now that the rain has stopped, and the fresh air will do you both some good.”
Gregor held out his arm and smiled at me. “Come with me Keeley, and show me the best things to watch on English TV. There are hundreds of channels, and I do not know what the best shows are,” he said as we walked to the TV room. I decided there and then that Gregor was my hero. Josh talked about respect, but as far as I was concerned, this man had it in droves. Whoever was able to capture Gregor’s heart would be a very lucky woman indeed.
We watched a Michael McIntyre show on a comedy channel, which Gregor found funny. After that was over, we watched Mickey Flanagan doing the ‘out-out’ joke. I found it hilarious, but Gregor just didn’t get it. I put the show on pause and tried my best to explain it to him.
“It’s because there are different levels to going out,” I told him. “Obviously, he said he was only going out to the shops and didn’t mean to go out to the pub, but he was asked, so he went. Then someone asked if he wanted to go to a nightclub, so Mickey explains he wasn’t meant to be out, although he ended up out anyway, but going to a nightclub would be taking it one step further, hence out-out.”
“But surely whether you are at a pub or a club you are still out,” he said, even more, confused than when Mickey did it.
