  “Oh you do? And what is that?”

  “I want to get married in the butterfly garden at the inn with only our family there. I want to be surrounded by flowers you planted in a garden you created and love.”

  He nudged their noses together, his lips almost trembling. “I adore that idea.”

  “No poinsettias.”

  “Agreed, that’d make no sense in the summer.”

  “Or evergreen garland.” She said this like a threat, like he was arguing with her, even though he wasn’t.

  “I can live with that.”

  “No pinecones, no matter how pretty you paint them, either.”

  “Goodness, Sasha, I’m agreeing with you.”

  She laughed, full of joy. “I’ll allow one piece of Christmas only. Maybe clip some into my hair or put some in my bouquet.”

  “Oh yeah? And what’s that?”

  She kissed him softly. “Winterberries.”

  Erin McLellan is the author of several contemporary romances, all of which have characters who are complex, goodhearted, and a little quirky. She likes her stories to have a sexy spark and a happily ever after. Originally from Oklahoma, she currently lives in Alaska and spends her time dreaming up love stories set in the Great Plains.
