  After a late breakfast Sam and Cameron head out and Mason and I finally have some time to ourselves. We have decided that we are gonna head to the hills behind the compound for a couple of days before we have to leave for his territory. We need to have time to ourselves, uninterrupted. “So, what can I expect in the hills? Do I need to pack bug spray and a sleeping bag?” I arch an eyebrow at him and grin. I mean, weather wise I could need so many different things!” I throw my hands in the air and am frustrated. How could he actually think he could pack for me? I can barely pack for me! I mean, where are we going? Mason said this is a place that no one knows about, only the Alpha’s and their families. Things are still unsteady are the compound, Micah is still out there and Zander hasn’t gotten anything out of Jenny yet. Lord knows what is going on with her. Did she betray everyone or not? That is the million-dollar question. I don’t have the answer, all I have is a statement. Stay the fuck away from me and Mason. Plain and simple. I hope she listens because I won’t be held responsible for my actions if she doesn’t. “Cammie! Come on babe, it’s time to go.” I hear Mason calling me and I head out. I stop in my tracks as I see him holding only a bookbag. “Please tell me that the rest of the bags are in the truck already?” He grins and shakes his head. “Nope. This is all we need. Now come on. I wonder if we have to wait for them? “Ok, so we are here to hear you out and decide if your actions are considered a betrayal against the pack or not. Jenny what do you have to say for yourself?” Zander states from his seat at the head of the table. I swallow as I look around. “Um, don’t we have to wait for Mason and Cammie?” I see Cameron smirk. “No. They won’t be joining us. You see they have decided to take a small vacation to be alone to have time alone. You know, so they can enjoy the effects of the mating bond.” Cameron’s words hit me like a two-ton truck. I wait as Zander and Alex whisper together and sneak a peak at Sam and Cameron. They are watching me and Cameron doesn’t look convinced. I don’t really care, I don’t need to convince him, just Zander. “Well, Jenny the fact that you did get Cammie to safety helped your story. Eric did find that your evidence that you gathered supports some of what you have just claimed. So, as of now you are cleared. Know this though, we will still be watching you.” I nod at my Alpha. “Yes Sir. I understand.” I back up and leave the room. I sigh a sigh of relief. Now that I’m still a pack member I can work on taking out Mason’s little mate.

  Cammie is standing a few feet away, taking in the woods and everything else. “It’s beautiful here.
