A breath of new life emerging within her womb.
No child of her bloodline had been welcomed in this land since the first of it had walked the sands.
Ven had always wanted to touch the seas, find what else waited beyond her shore.
He brought their tangled grip to her belly, pressed against the burgeoning gift growing within.
This land had been his home since the beginning of time.
“Is that your wish, little djinn? To fly from this place to some great next adventure?”
She didn’t fight when he turned her in his arms, face to face with the beast from legends, the dragon she loved. “With you. Only with you.”
He cupped her cheek, pressed his forehead to hers, his breath a whispered response against her lips. “I love you, Havence. Where you go, I go. Always.”
“As I love only you. Always.”
About the Author
Andi Lawrencovna lives in a small town in Northeast Ohio where she was born and raised. After completing her Masters in Creative Writing, she decided that it was time to let a little fantasy rule her life for a while. The Never Lands were born out of a frustration with happily-ever-afters, and a burning desire for the same.
