When an Omega Loves
Page 3
Instead of worrying about Jaivon, Bryce recalled the first time he realized he had more than brotherly feelings for Jaivon when they were in high school.
While Bryce ran track and played baseball, Jaivon played football.
One year Bryce decided he wanted to try out for the wrestling team. Although an alpha, he wasn’t born with large muscles. Joining the wrestling team, he needed practice. The only one to help was Jaivon. They’d horse played around the house growing up, but that one night with Jaivon stirred something inside of Bryce. He’d gotten hard having Jaivon pin him down.
And his scent.
Bryce couldn’t get enough of the way he smelled. Even though he’d gotten the moves down he’d purposely mess up just to get a whiff of him.
Later that night, Bryce masturbated memorizing Jaivon’s smell and the way he held him down. Bryce knew what society thought of alpha males, that they should never show submission to anyone especially an omega. But Bryce didn’t care. He didn’t want to live by anyone’s standards. Bryce never once questioned why he felt that way for someone that’s supposed to be his brother. It didn’t matter to him in the least.
There was something about Jaivon that called to him after he’d realized how he felt. He couldn’t stop touching him and found every excuse to be near to him.
Bryce’s nightly fantasies of Jaivon pinning him down and fucking him hard aroused him. Each time he’d cum harder than the first. His secret attraction for his sibling went on for one year. Bryce had no idea how he hid it or if he really did. But after one year of secretly crushing and lusting after Jaivon he couldn’t take it anymore. It didn’t help that he grew increasingly jealous every time Jaivon would go on a date. His jealousy got so bad there were a few times he’d purposely sabotaged Jaivon’s dates. Despite not telling his brother how he felt, Bryce didn’t want his brother around anyone but him.
Bryce recalled the moment things changed for them as if it was yesterday. Jaivon was supposed to go out on a date with Peter Daniels. Bryce scowled thinking of the little omega who thought he’d have a chance at Jaivon. Bryce knew it was rotten, but he didn’t like that Jaivon was so excited to go out with the guy. It was the first time he felt that he’d lose the person he was falling in love with. So, he broke Jaivon’s heart by setting up Peter Daniels to get caught kissing another guy.
Bryce knew he wouldn’t be able to keep the secrets of what he’d been doing to Jaivon for ever. That night he laid everything out on the table. Bryce told Jaivon about the first time he realized he wanted him as a lover and not as his brother. That he’d sabotaged his dates, including the setup with Peter Daniels.
After Bryce explained everything, he thought Jaivon would punch the shit out of him. Instead, to Bryce’s surprise the object of his affection burst out in laughter and pulled him into a kiss that curled his toes into a fucking fist. Even though they’d been together for years Bryce wondered if Jaivon blamed him for not finding an omega mate. Once that happened, they agreed to find an omega who needed to understand the dynamics of their relationship. But it never stopped Bryce from wondering if Jaivon held it against him.
Before they admitted their feelings for each other, Jaivon only dated omegas as if he was on a mission to find the perfect one.
Did I stop him from finding true love?
Bryce studied Jaivon’s handsome face as he concentrated on driving. His lover was so fucking gorgeous. At times he couldn’t believe they were together. “Do you ever blame me for what I did?” he asked Jaivon fearing the answer.
“What are you talking about? What did you do now?”
“I’m talking about Peter Daniels.”
Jaivon cocked an eyebrow, but kept his eyes on the road. “What made you think about him?”
“I guess it’s because I feel it too. I feel the void between us and I can’t help but wonder if I ruined your chance at finding your mate.”
Jaivon reached over and took Bryce’s hand into his. “You didn’t stop me from finding my mate. I’ve already found one and we are just waiting for the other to join us.”
“What if it’s another alpha or an omega that finds us disgusting?”
Jaivon didn’t answer.
He knew Jaivon couldn’t because he was just as scared as Bryce. Truthfully, he wasn’t sure if he was ready to share Jaivon, but they needed another mate to ground them.
Sometimes Bryce wished he was an omega so he could fulfill Jaivon’s needs and give him the child they wanted. Bryce was also scared the omega would only want one of them and not both. Bryce hated thinking of his life without Jaivon and couldn’t fathom having to choose between a mate and his desire.
“Weren’t you the one that told me not to worry?” Jaivon asked as they pulled into the airport following the signs to private charter planes. “Are you doubting your own words?”
“Not really doubting but scared.”
“I know, I am too. And yeah, I forgave you for that Peter Daniel’s thing. I wasn’t really into him. I was only going out with him, hoping it would help not to think about you.” Jaivon sighed. “Let’s not think about mates or kids until after our vacation.”
“Wasn’t that the point for the trip?” Bryce thought it was, but his concerns had begun to consume him.
“In part. Babe, it’s been a while since we took a vacation and concentrated on us. You’ve been busy with school and me with the gyms, plus family. I just figured we needed some time away. Go somewhere, where no one knows our name. I want to hold and kiss you in public without worrying about bumping into someone we know.”
“And you think it’s going to get any better with a mate? People are still going to ask questions.”
“I’m starting not to care what people think.”
“But you just said—.”
“I know what I said.” Jaivon snapped, looking at him for a hot second before turning his attention back to the road.
Bryce swallowed hard and dropped his head. Lately, they've been getting mad at each other over the smallest things. Silly as it might’ve sounded, they’d never argued about things. Bryce and Jaivon were just that close and of course, both wished to keep it that way.
Jaivon pulled into a parking spot then turned off the car. He turned around to look at Bryce. Their hands were still clasped. “I’m sorry, baby. I shouldn’t have gone off on you like that.”
Bryce nodded, knowing Jaivon didn’t mean it. He patted Jaivon’s with his freehand.
“There are other ways for us to have a child if that’s all you’re worried about.” Jaivon added, still eyeing Bryce.
Now it was Bryce’s turn to stop himself from getting upset. “That’s not the only thing, Jai.”
“Then what is it? Make me understand Bryce.”
Bryce had never told Jaivon what he was feeling or thinking. It might not be the right time for this, but he also felt he might not get a second chance. He wanted kids, but seeing Jaivon’s dark brown eyes and infectious smile and having him as a lover mattered more.
Bryce looked away, then back at Jaivon. He exhaled and shrugged. “Look, I know I’m supposed to be tough and walk around like some cock sure, badass alpha, but…” Bryce bit his lip. “I get we need a mate but I can’t lose you.”
Jaivon narrowed his eyes and he mouthed what appeared to be a curse. “Fuck, Bry, we’ve never lived by society standards. You mean more to me than anyone or anything in this entire world. No one is going to pull us apart. We’ll find an omega who will want to be with the both of us. And if we don’t then we’ll hire surrogates to have our children. But right now all I want to do is focus on you. I love you, Bryce, always remember that.”
Bryce sighed and leaned on the head rest. He was a walking contradiction. He didn’t like sharing Jaivon, but didn’t mind when they did threesomes and took turns fucking a willing omega or two. They had to do that kind of shit to keep up appearances.
Still, the negative thoughts crept up, threatening to tear him apart. He loved Jaivon more than life it
self. But he was determined not to allow his anxieties to ruin their time away. Bryce smiled and lifted Jaivon’s hand to his lips. “I love you, too. And you’re right, so let’s go and have some fun. Because I want the same thing as you. To be free with our love and not worry about what society thinks.”
“Then no more doubting us.” He raised their hand kissing their clasped fingers.
“Okay, I’ll try not to over think things for the next couple of weeks.”
“Good.”
Jaivon leaned in and kissed him quickly before getting out of the car.
Bryce sat back and breathed a sigh of relief. He was happy they were leaving for two weeks. He got out of the car and joined Jaivon, helping him with the bags. He smiled, watching his lover look at the bags he packed, knowing very well that they might not leave the hotel room ever.
Yes, this was going to be one hell of a vacation!
Chapter Three
Mario groaned aimlessly searching for his cellphone that wouldn’t shut up.
“This better be good I was having a fucking good dream,” he grumbled.
“Sir, we have a slight problem,” Theresia stuttered.
“What’s up?” Mario sat up in bed fixing the covers around his hips.
“Cliffton called in sick. He was scheduled to fly to Naples, Italy today.”
“So, get someone else.”
Theresia was used to his brashness even though she was a beta. Her stuttering didn’t bother Mario either, years of speech therapy couldn’t break it. Although it was a bit awkward when she started working for him, they’d developed a rhythm.
“That’s the problem sir, we don’t have another pilot available. The customers paid a lot for our services sir.”
Mario groaned and leaned his head on the leather plush headboard. He wasn’t in the business of losing customers because he didn’t feel like working.
“Who is his co-pilot? And what time is the flight?”
“Um…”
Mario heard her shifting papers around and grew impatient. “Forget it. Just put me down and find someone that’s competent.”
“Yes, sir.”
Mario hung up and threw his cellphone on the bed. “Dammit today was supposed to be my fucking day off.”
Mario only had a few pilots, they were all already on the job or just returning from a flight. He’d made sure to do things by regulation when it came to his pilots. He didn’t overtax them and made sure they rested between flights.
Italy huh...An idea popped in Mario’s head. It had been awhile since he’d taken a vacation and what better place to do it than Italy. Reaching for his cellphone he dialed his office.
“Theresia, cancel or push back all of my meetings and appointments for two weeks,” he ordered.
“Uh...sir are you sure?”
“Yes, I’m sure. Is that going to be a problem?”
“Well...you see...it’s that since I started working here you’ve never taken more than a day off.”
Mario couldn’t argue with her, admittedly he was a control freak and hadn’t been too far away from the base office for more than a day or two. Once he had enough pilots willing to do them, Mario had stopped doing overseas flights and stuck to domestic ones.
Mario couldn’t blame his people for using their time to relax.
So why the hell shouldn’t I do the same? Some rest and relaxation was definitely in order. Hell, finding a willing fuck buddy for a couple of weeks didn’t sound like a bad idea, either.
“Then it’s long overdue don’t you think?”
“I’d say so sir.”
“Good. Now push everything back, book me a hotel room near the airport for the night and one in Capri for the next couple of days and another in Rome then Venice. Send me everything I need about the flight. I’m heading to the airport.”
“Will do, sir.”
Mario disconnected the call. He threw the covers back and got out of bed, heading to his bathroom to shower and shave. Once he was completely dressed, Mario packed two weeks worth of clothes as well as his garment bag. Then he jumped in his car to go to the airport. When he arrived, he parked it in the lot and rushed to the airfield to get on his best jet. The aircraft was a sixteen seater, with two flight attendants, one of which he’d be using as his co-pilot.
Mario made sure all of his pilots kept up with their hours. He didn’t want to lose any of his people because of his need to rise and stay on the top.
Mario’s company was ranked number one in the state and he planned on letting it stay that way.
Mario scanned the message Theresia sent to him with the clients information. He didn’t recognize the name, but if they were willing to shell out a shit ton of money for Capri Charters, he didn’t care who they were. He went through the preflight checks and boarded the plane.
“Good morning, Mario.” Jeanette, the flight attendant, spoke to him in a cheerful tone.
Mario eyed her as he made his way inside the plane’s cabin. “Hi Jeanette. Are you flying with me or is Simone?”
Jeanette grinned and finished packing the snacks inside their compartments. “Simone this time. I flew late last night so I’m letting her have the wheel.”
“Good deal. Make sure to take care of our guests and get a little rest in the lounge if you can. Are our guests aboard?”
“Not yet. They should be here any minute.”
“All right, thanks.” Mario spun on his heel and headed into the cockpit to get ready for the trip. He bent down so as not to accidentally bump any of the controls. Mario groaned when a scent he knew all too well tickled his nostrils.
Alpha musk!
Mario frowned, knowing Simone’s pheromones evaded the small space. She’d recently settled down and mated, which made him gloriously happy. He placed his bag in the rack behind the seat, then removed his jacket, hanging it on a nearby hook.
“Hey boss!”
Mario looked around and nodded at Simone. “Hiya. So we’re doing this today, huh?”
“Yes we are. You know how much I love flying.”
“Oh I know.” He laughed heartily. “How’s the wife?”
“Excellent. We’re about ready to pop a few puppies with the surrogate,” she said with a bright grin. “I know I’m so damn excited.”
Mario shook his head and took the seat. He placed the headphones on his head and turned the volume up to seven. With Simone in the co-pilot chair, he wouldn’t need to blast the sound on them because she didn’t need an amplifier for her voice.
Mario was happy for Simone and her mate. He knew how long she’d searched for her omega. They’d been mated for less than a year before they decided to start a family. Talia, Simones mate was infertile, which was pretty uncommon for an omega. Simone was beautiful with short curly hair, light green eyes, and a banging body that had males and females begging to spend one night with her. If he was into women Mario would definitely want to date her alpha or not.
Simone sat down, adjusting her seat. She caught him glancing at her from the corner of his eye. “Aw, Mario. I see that look. You little dirty Omega. It’s time for you to settle down.”
Mario groaned and leaned against the headrest. He pushed his hand through his hair and exhaled. “Not you too.”
“Oh you’ve had this conversation before?”
Mario twisted his lips. “You alphas are all alike. Yeah. My mothers are on the grandparents' kick and so is my best friend. I’m still sowing my wild oats before I agree to let someone impregnate me.”
“Mario you’re almost thirty.”
“And?” He smirked.
“And, it’s time to settle down. You wanna be past your prime when you finally give birth?” Simone sounded as if she was trying to guilt trip him like his mothers often did.
Mario didn’t take the bait. He’d be damned if he allowed his employee to make him feel like shit. “When will you guys get it? I’ll settle down when I’m good and ready.”
Simone’s expression changed to one of co
ncern. “Bu—.”
“I don’t need your lectures, Simone.” Mario cut her off. “We’re friends, you were my first attendant/pilot, but you’re also my employee. Get off my damn case already!” Mario snapped and looked out the window. He noticed two men ambling towards the plane. They had to be the clients.
“Okay, okay! No need to be testy.” Simone raised her hands as if to say she surrendered. “Almost time for the heat isn’t it? I hope you brought your suppressants. I can tell this one is not going to be easy.”
“Simone.” Mario growled. She was right about Mario’s attitude. Yet another reason why he hated being an omega. The uncontrolled emotions he went through monthly set him on edge.
There was no time to check his bag for his meds. Hopefully Mario would find an omega or beta to pass his heat cycle with.
Three days of fucking. What a way to start a vacation.
“All right. Geez, get this man an Alpha stat!” Simone laughed and pushed a couple of buttons. She placed her headphones atop her head. “Your scent is filling the room.”
Mario harrumphed and turned around, ignoring Simone. “You know you’re an ass, right?”
Simone chuckled, not answering him. When she went through all the particulars, her tone changed to all business.
“Captain? Our passengers are aboard.” Jeanette’s voice sounded through the headphones.
“Copy that.”
Mario looked straight ahead at the ground aircraft marshal, giving him signals that he was ready to go. The man saluted Mario, then pulled his mic to the front of his mouth. “Good morning passengers. This is your Captain Mario Perrone and my co-captain Simone Best. Our flight attendant is Jeannette Castillio. Welcome to flight number XJC1871 destination Capodichino International Airport located in Naples, Italy. This is an eight and a half hour flight so please make yourselves comfortable. As for the weather, we’re looking at sunny skies with no cloud in sight. The temperature is in the low eighties and looking to stay that way. Since it’s kind of hot, we’ll make sure to keep the air on for your comfort. The temperature in Naples is in the low seventies, and raining. Hopefully that will be all cleared up by the time we land. The time now is nine seventeen. We’ll be taking off in about the next ten minutes. Sit back and relax, and thank you for choosing Capri Charters. Make sure to listen to the flight crew with safety instructions.” Mario stopped talking and flicked a couple of switches to get the plane started.
