Homecoming

Was this guy a fucking mind reader or something? If he was then he was getting a pretty XXX rated view of my wife getting gang banged by all the guys out there in the gym right about now, and he wasn’t blushing.

Yeah, he probably hadn’t developed any super powers that I wasn’t aware of.

"Why would you say that?" I said, trying to sound casual and not doing a very good job of it.

He grinned and slapped me on the back.

"Nothing man," he said. "Any guy who’s dating Stacy is going to have to get used to the idea of guys staring at her, right?"

"Oh yeah?" I asked, suddenly realizing that maybe I could learn a little bit about my wife's past without actually asking my wife about her past. This guy had been around for a chunk of that past, after all. “What would make you say that?"

There was something about the way he spoke that had me thinking there might be something more to this story. That maybe there was somebody, in the far distant past, who’d learned just how annoying it could be dating a girl a bunch of guys lusted after.

It was something I hadn't given much thought to other than to be annoyed when I saw other guys checking her out when she was obviously with me, but now I was curious. Now I was turned on by the thought of other guys checking her out, and I wanted to know more.

  History Lesson

"Well there was a guy she dated for a few years in high school," he said. "And it turns out he couldn’t stand the idea of a bunch of other guys staring at his girl all the time. Hitting on her right in front of him. Trying to be her BFF and then undermining their relationship every chance they could get. It’s tough if you aren’t equipped to handle that kind of shit.”

"Really?" I asked. "What was the guy’s name?"

I wondered if that guy he was talking about was him. If maybe I was learning about how he'd ended his relationship with my wife because he couldn’t handle other guys hitting on her. Though there wasn't the usual tone of regret I’d expect from a guy who'd been dating her once upon a time and regretted the fact that he was no longer dating her now.

Still, stranger things had happened. And there’d been something about the way he was staring at her. Even if it was pretty much the same look every straight guy who ever stared at her gave her.

"Yeah, the guy’s name was Rex Thompson," Arnie said. "High school royalty. Captain of the football team. Dating the hottest girl in school. All that kind of stuff."

"Really now?" I said, really curious now. I also liked the idea of Arnie referring to my girl as the hottest girl in the school.

Stacy had never talked about the guys she'd dated before me. I knew there’d been a few guys she'd been with in college before we got together, but that was about it. Mostly I knew about them because they’d still been lurking around the same friend group she hung out with back then, until they’d realized being a part of that friend group wasn’t going to get them back with my wife and they faded away.

The conversation about our pasts had never gone back to high school days. It was something we never really felt like we needed to cover. Either one of us.

I know there are some people out there who have to have a notarized list of everyone their partner has ever fucked, but I wasn't one of those guys and Stacy wasn't one of those girls.

Only now I was becoming one of those guys, though not for the usual reasons that most people thought of when they imagined one of "those guys."

"Yeah," Arnie continued. “He's done about as well as any other high school royalty from around these here parts. He has a beer gut and he's working down at the local gas station these days.”

  "That’s surprising," I said.

  "Really?" Arnie said.

"Well yeah," I said. "It seemed like most of the people I knew back in school who were like that were the kind of people who were going to do well in life no matter what. They all went off to college and good careers and all that."

It stung just a little talking about people going on to good careers. After all, I'd gone to college and I thought I was going to have a good career and the whole nine yards. I hadn't exactly been the king of my school, but I'd been in with the popular group. I'd done well enough for myself at sports even if I'd never been the star.

Basically there was nothing about me that would’ve caught the interest of a girl like Stacy if we'd gone to high school together. Which meant it was probably good for me that we'd met after we were both out of high school and none of that bullshit really mattered.

"Oh yeah?" Arnie asked. "And where are you from?"

  "Harris," I said.

The reaction from Arnie was immediate. He barked out a laugh and then shook his head.

"What's so funny?" I asked, though I already had a pretty good idea of why he was laughing it up.

"You're talking about Harris," he said. "Isn't that where all the rich people live?"

I knew my hometown's reputation. It was home to a lot of people who had quite a bit of money to their names. People who had good jobs in what passed for the big city around here. It's not like people were fabulously wealthy by coastal standards, we were in the Midwest after all, but everyone who was doing pretty well for themselves by Midwest standards lived there.

The people there were certainly doing better than most everybody else around here. Especially when compared to places like Stacy's hometown where the principle exports had gone from car manufacturing to meth over the past couple of decades.

  "Well yeah," I said.

"Well there you go," he said, as though that settled it all in his mind. "I guarantee you the people you’re talking about from Harris had parents who cared about them getting an education. Making something for themselves."

"And it's not like that around here?" I asked.

"Not exactly," Arnie said, then quickly went on when he saw the skeptical look I was giving him.

"Don't get me wrong. There are people here who care about an education and making something out of their lives. It's just there are lifers and there are people who get out of here."

There must've been something about the way I was staring at him that told him I still wasn't understanding what the hell he was talking about.

"It's pretty simple," he said. "There are people who get the hell out of here, and they never come back. Well maybe they come back around the holidays or something, if they don't live across the country, but that's not the same, you know?"

  "I guess not," I said.

"And then there are the people who are stuck here. Forever townies. You know what I mean? Failures to launch, or people who don't want to move to the big city or the fancy suburbs like Stacy did."

  New Obsession

He paused and looked out over the gym. And his eyes moved across my wife. I followed his gaze. After all, checking out my wife was one of the main reasons I came down here in the first place. She was doing some sort of thing that had her bouncing up and down, which had her ass and her tits bouncing in a very distracting manner for all that she wore a sports bra that was supposed to stop that from happening. I found myself staring, slack-jawed, for a moment.

My wife could still do that to me, and I was a lucky bastard that my wife still did that for me!

"Honestly I never thought Stacy would be one of those failures to launch," Arnie said.

He had no idea that he'd just said something that cut me to the bone, but he had. After all, part of the reason why we were back here was because I'd gotten laid off and we couldn’t afford the lifestyle to which we’d grown accustomed on her freelance income alone.

It stung even more that the company had gone to shit in an economy where everything was pretty good otherwise. It stung that I couldn't find another job in an environment where everybody was hiring. Not at all like a decade back when supposedly everybody had been good and fucked if they lost their job.

"Yeah, well I'm not sure if this is going to be a temporary or a permanent thing," I said.

  Arnie
slapped me again.

"You better make sure it's not anything more than a temporary thing. The longer you stay here, the more likely you are to never escape!"

He laughed, but there was something about the way he said it that had me thinking it wasn't a joke at all. There was a strained look to his eyes that said he maybe would’ve escaped if he could, but for some reason he was still trapped here, and we could suffer the same fate if we didn’t do something about it.

  Damn.

“Just kidding,” he said, his tone conveying that he clearly wasn’t kidding. "I know there are quite a few guys who’ll be really happy to learn that Stacy is back in town. Your wife living up above the gym and coming down here to work out is going to be great business for me!"

"What do you mean?" I asked, though again it was one of those questions that was a formality more than anything, because looking at her in those tight clothes going through the motions of her exercise I knew exactly what he meant.

"Do you have any idea what the hell you have there man?" he said. "Maybe where you come from there are hotties in yoga pants from all the trophy wives the rich folks who live in your town marry, but it's not like that around here."

I had to grin at his description of some of the women from where I'd grown up. After all, there was something to what he'd just said. There were plenty of girls walking around my school who were the products of trophy wives getting banged by rich dudes who’d made their fortune and didn’t mind a little gold digging if the one doing the gold digging came in a tight package.

Those girls were all pretty stuck up and full of themselves too. One of the things that’d attracted me to Stacy when I'd first met her was how down to earth and unassuming she was despite the fact that she was easily the hottest thing in the room, and Arnie's accurate assessment of what the women were like where I grew up was pretty damn funny. It was a reminder that there were a lot of people who knew a lot about where I'd grown up because it was so infamous in the state.

"What does that have to do with Stacy?" I asked, though I had a pretty good idea where he was going with this line of reasoning.

“Simple enough man,” Arnie said. “A girl like Stacy only comes around once or twice for every graduating class we have around here. Maybe once or twice every few years now that the school is a lot smaller. Which means a girl like her coming back here is going to have a lot of guys who had crushes on her back in the day suddenly finding an interest in fitness all over again.”

I stared out over the the gym. More particularly I stared at all the guys who were busy staring at my wife while trying their best not to look like they were staring at my wife. I thought about all of them telling the world that my wife was back in town, and then I thought about what that would look like as this place filled up with guys checking her out, hitting on her, and generally trying to get with the one who got away even though she was happily married now.

And my cock was so fucking hard as I thought about it. It made me wonder what the fuck was wrong with me, but it also had me so hot and bothered thinking about all those guys staring at her.

“So anyway,” Arnie said, clapping me on the back again. “Probably a good thing that you’re so open to the idea of guys checking her out, right?”

Was that a good thing? I couldn’t be sure, but I also couldn’t get the thought out of my mind.

  Damn.

  Shame

It was a week later when things started to get really interesting.

Which isn’t to say the week leading up to that night wasn’t interesting. No, it was one of the hottest weeks of my life. It was a week of sucking and fucking and doing all sorts of naughty things with my wife as we celebrated the return of my penis to the world of the non-erectile dysfunctional, if that’s even a term.

The point is the thought of all those guys checking her out had me walking around with an almost constant hard on, and there was something about Stacy that said she was getting just as hot and bothered by all those guys checking her out.

I mean there had to be something to explain how insatiable she was. She hadn’t been like this even back when I didn’t have trouble getting it up because of job stress, though I never had any complaints about how often we got it on.

Not to mention that on top of everything else, I was spending a hell of a lot more time in the gym these days. Mostly because it was a convenient excuse to watch my wife getting watched by other guys, but also because it felt good to be getting back in shape again. To be getting back in touch with fit me, which wasn’t someone I’d seen in the mirror in at least five years now thanks to job stress and overeating and all that good stuff that comes with growing up.

Plus I got to see how uncomfortable those guys looked when they went up to talk with Stacy and she inevitably pointed to me when it was clear they were asking her out.

“So something interesting happened in the gym today,” Stacy said.

My cock was instantly hard thinking about all the interesting things my wife could’ve gotten up to in the gym. Sure it was probably just some new goal she’d hit or something, but I couldn’t stop thinking about her bending over one of the benches and letting guys run a train on her.

“You okay there baby?” Stacy asked.

I shook my head. I was supposed to be paying attention to what she was talking about. Right. Wives tended to get upset if they thought you weren’t paying attention to what they were saying.

“Sorry,” I said. “What were you talking about?”

“No, hold on a second,” Stacy said. “You’ve been getting that far off look in your eyes a lot lately. Especially when we’re getting it on. So do you want to tell me what the fuck is going on?”

Shit. I should’ve known better than to try and keep something from my wife. That way lies madness for the married man.

  “I guess…”

I trailed off. There wasn’t a good way to tell your wife that you were getting off on the thought of a bunch of guys in her old hometown getting turned on seeing the return of her amazing ass and incredible tits.

And watch her return they had. Arnie hadn’t been wrong when he said her return to the old stomping grounds was going to do wonders for his business. He’d even offered to give us a small percentage of memberships that came in this month as a result of all the new people signing up.

I wished we were in a position where we could turn that down, but honestly we weren’t. We needed every little bit of money we could get, and so I’d taken it. I’d also been spending some time with the guy in the back office going over financials and stuff, which was something he’d apparently never cared about before considering the terrible shape his books were in.

“You’re doing it again,” she said. “You really need to stop doing that. I’ll start thinking you’re maybe distracted by some of the sweet young things we see going through the gym.”

I laughed. I couldn’t help it. The idea that I would be distracted by any of the women coming through the gym when there was my wife right there putting them all to shame was laughable.

The way all the guys in there were spending all their time staring at her rather than staring at some of the women who’d started coming in when it was clear the gym was a good place to meet in-shape dudes, or dudes who were pretending to get in shape when they found out Stacy was working out there, was laughable.

“Sorry,” I said. “I’m not staring at other girls. You can rest sure on that score.”

“Then I know what it is,” she said, coming over to sit on my lap. Her eyes went wide as she turned to look at me, her mouth turning up in a smile. “Well then. I see someone has decided to come out and play.”

“Yeah, well what can I say?” I asked. “You turn me on. You always have, and you always will. Way more than those other women.”

“Right,” she said. “Well I know you might feel ashamed about this whole situation, but it’s not something you should be ashamed of.”

  Well shit. Now
we were taking the shame I felt over getting turned on thinking about my wife with another man and piling on the shame I already felt over losing my job and getting us stuck here.

Still, her thinking I was ashamed over that was better than my wife finding out I was ashamed about thinking of her getting it on with other dudes.

“Yeah, I guess I’m still just dealing with a little bit of that,” I said. “But I’ll get over it.”

  Awkward Questions

“I still think you should consider hanging out your shingle and going into business for yourself,” she said, leaning in and giving me a kiss even as she did a little wiggle thing with her ass that was very distracting.

Like I thought I was going to come in my pants from that wiggle. It didn’t hurt that I was also thinking about all the guys down there in that gym who would kill for the opportunity to have her ass grinding against them like that.

  “I don’t know,” I said.

I thought about all the opportunities that were available to me in corporate accounting. The fancy car. The six figure salary and more that let us live it up in the city. The potential for that to become a seven figure salary as I moved up in the world.

Balanced against all that the thought of being an accountant pushing around numbers for a bunch of farmers who spent all their time pushing around a bunch of corn or whatever the fuck it was they harvested around here? Well there was a life I’d always imagined for myself, and that wasn’t it.

“I know what you’re thinking,” she said. “It’s just something to think about. Not everyone has to have the corner office and the penthouse on top of a high rise in the big city, y’know?”

“Yeah, I know,” I said with a sigh. Even though there wasn’t really such a thing as penthouse apartments in the city we’d lived in.
