His Desire Page 14

“You’ll be trained. The position starts in a couple of weeks. Are you cool with that?”

I nodded, enthusiastically. “Yes, definitely okay with that.”

“Great. I’ll give your details to Becky. You’ll be working behind the scenes in the back office so you won’t have to deal with the guests.”

I threw my arms around Holden, grateful to have him in my life. Thank you, Holden. You have no idea what this means to me. After I pulled away, and a few more jumps, Holden smiled.

“I need to get back to work,”

  “Thanks, Holden. Really, thank you.”

He nodded, turned away, and strolled back to the concierge desk. My plans changed. Instead of looking for a new job, which I had just acquired, I decided to head home to pack my few, but valuable items for the move.

When I arrived at my apartment, I unlocked the door, and the slow creak dwindled when I stepped inside. I shut the door behind me. I’m not going to miss this place. A few roaches scattered when I turned on the lights. The dirty curtains swayed against the window, the small gap in the wall allowed a breeze to flow through.

I grabbed an empty box. Using a black marker, I wrote down Important Items on the lid, before I threw the marker on the kitchen bench. Starting at the book shelf, I picked up one of the few photos I have of myself as a child. My deep blue eyes stood out, my light brown hair gently flowed on either side of my face, and the blue and white stripped dress sat just above my knees.

After I gently placed the photo in the box, I continued to throw out unwanted items and pack the things I didn’t need to use in the meantime. My heart leapt whenever I received a text from Kai telling me that he missed me. I love those texts.

After a couple of hours packing, I decided to head back to the hotel suit, considerably more comfortable walking through the lobby now that I had cleared everything up with Holden. Well, almost everything.

I made my way to the lift and headed to the penthouse suite. As soon as I opened the door, Kai smiled at me from the comfort of the couch, his phone tucked into his ear. Stepping towards Kai, I sat down beside him, and he quickly hung up the phone, ending the conversation.

“How is it possible that I missed you after only a few hours?”

  Damn, I’ve missed him too.

A smile sprung on my lips. I leaned in to kiss him. Kai’s hands run down my spine and he firmly placed them on the small of my back. After breaking the kiss, I looked at him, gazing into those intense and mesmerizing eyes.

  “How was your day?”

“Shit,” he replied. “I have that meeting in a few days.”

His expression turned serious. I raised my eyebrows at him.

  “You mean?”

Kai nodded, and lowered his voice to a whisper. “I want you to be with me.”

There’s no way I want another fucking girl thinking they have a chance with him.

  “But there will be rules.”

“What kind of rules, Kai?” I moved back away from him and caught his gaze.

“There are things you might hear that I need you to keep to yourself,” he urged.

  “Like what?”

  13

  Oh My God, He’s Dead

“Anything that doesn’t sound…legal,” Kai whispered. My eyes narrowed at him. I was scared. Something about the way he said it made the hairs stand up at the back of my neck, and my nerves twitched.

“Legal? Are you serious, Kai? What the hell are you talking about?” I fumed. He refused to answer. Instead, he gazed into my eyes, took my hands in his, and squeezed mine firmly, but gently.

  “Promise me, Isla.”

I took a deep breath and nodded. With no idea what he was into, I knew I wanted to find out. We were hiding something from each other and I stressed myself trying to figure out what his secret was.

“I promise, Kai.” A look of relief swept across his face. “Anything else I should know?” He smiled at me and moved his hands down to my ass.

“You’re my girl. You need to stay with me the whole time,” Kai murmured.

  “I will, baby.”

“Oz will be there. He’ll want to claim you for the night.”

Yeah, I definitely don’t want Oz.

I grinded my body onto his. Kai’s breath hitched, and he squeezed my ass tight.

  “Fuck, Isla!”

I leaned in and whispered seductively in his ear. “He can’t claim what’s yours.”

Kai grabbed me by the back of my neck and pulled me into him. His lips crashed onto mine. My body continued to move and I felt him grow harder beneath me. Fuck, this is driving me crazy. After I pulled back from the kiss, I bit my lip and smiled.

  “I’m all yours too, Isla.”

Bet your fucking ass you are.

“No other girl will have you,” I vouched.

“I don’t want anyone else, baby.”

And I knew what I had said was true. There was no one I have ever wanted in my life, more than I wanted him. Deep down, my feelings for him were getting stronger, even though we hadn’t been together for long.

Kai smiled and I leaned in to kiss him briefly before I pulled away. “Oz, huh?”

  “Yes, Oz,” Kai confirmed.

“You were watching me the whole time I was with him that night, weren’t you?”

Kai nodded. “I hated seeing him with you,” he continued. “I wanted to kill him.”

“And paying that girl extra to make me jealous? Was that all part of your genius plan to get me?” I chuckled.

It wasn’t part of the plan to tell confess that I knew what he had done, but the words just slipped out of my mouth, and the moment it did, his cheeks flushed red.

  “Ally told you, huh?”

  Ally. That was her name.

I nodded. “When I went to the bathroom, she spilled everything to me.”

Kai shook his head smiling. “She wasn’t supposed to, but I’m not surprised. All you girls stick together.” He chuckled.

Kai’s intense gaze pierced right through to my very core. I love the way he’s looking at me.

“Did you like watching us kiss?” I whispered.

“No. You were mine before you knew it. I don’t want anyone else’s lips on yours,” Kai confessed. My heart fluttered, and it felt like the wings of a dragonfly beating against my chest.

“I don’t have to play that game again, do I?”

Kai shook his head quickly. “Neither of us are going to play. There’s no way I’d allow you or myself to be with anyone else. The men there will know who we belong to.”

My arms wrapped around his neck before my lips pressed against his. “Mmmm,” I moaned. After I pulled away, I smiled. “You’re mine, Kai.”

Satisfied by my choice of words, he pulled me even closer before whispering under his breath. “Always.

It was Friday evening, and I was at home getting ready for the “meeting” in the Penthouse Suite. Holden wasn’t working that night, though he knew there was going to be an event in Kai’s room. He just didn’t realize the extent of it. I love Holden, but I’m surprised he has no idea what’s going on with his friend.

After showering and getting changed, I grabbed an overnight bag and made my way to the hotel. As I arrived early, there were multiple people setting up the gambling stations and bar. Hoping to find Kai, I made my way to his bedroom and lightly tapped on the door. “It’s me, baby.”

  “Come in,” he replied.

My hands gripped the handle and I pushed it down to open the creaking door. When I stepped inside, Kai was standing in front of the mirror fixing his tie.

“Damnit,” he growled, before undoing the knot.

  “Having trouble, handsome?”

Kai turned to me and smiled, his eyes roamed up and down my body. “God, damn. You’re beautiful,” he complimented.

I bit my lip and my head dipped low, admiring the dress I chose for the evening. The short red number, which stopped just above my knees, had a plunging neckline,
spaghetti straps which sat firmly around my neck. There was a wide satin band around the waist, which accentuated my curves, and the low v-back exposed the skin behind. “Thank you. “You’re looking sharp yourself. Problems with the tie?”

“Just a little. I hate wearing them,” he confessed.

I shook my head and made my way towards him. After grabbing the tie from his hand, I threw it on the floor beside us. Kai smiled before he gripped his hands on my waist and pulled me in for a kiss.

  “Mmmm.”

When he pulled away, his tongue ran across his bottom lip. “I love the way you taste.” My cheeks turned red and my smile widened. He took my hand in his.

“Come on. The guests should be arriving soon,” Kai led me to the bar area where we sat down on the stools, drinking and talking, waiting for the guests. One by one they started to filter in. A few men and a lot of woman walked through the penthouse suite doors. My eyes turned to the entrance when Oz arrived, his eyes locked with mine and he gave me a wink. Kai noticed and pulled me closer, whispering into my ear.

  “Mine.”

I couldn’t help but smile when I turned to face him. “Yours.”

Oz walked around talking to the other guests that arrived. It didn’t take him long to reach Kai and me.

“Hello, beautiful,” Oz whispered. I turned my head towards him and Kai’s grip on me tightened.

Oz’s attention turned to Kai. “I see you’ve claimed your girl for the night.”

“Not just for the night, Oz,” Kai snarled.

Oz narrowed his eyes at him. “What do you mean?”

“She’s my girl,” Kai responded, before his soft lips met with my cheek.

“Well, I better stay away from you then, Isla. I don’t want to get in Kai’s bad books. He’s ruthless.”

Ruthless? What the hell does he mean by that? Kai Storm has been nothing but sweet.

“I’ll find another girl for the night,” Oz grinned, walking away. I turned my head to Kai. He took his thumb and caressed my lip before he leaned in and claimed my mouth. A warm sensation radiated through my body, until he pulled away from me, and I was suddenly aching for his touch again.

Kai and I drank together for a while. My attention directed at the door when I noticed Ally walk in. The girl I had kissed the other night. She smiled when our eyes met and walked up to the both of us.

“Nice to see you two together,” she winked.

  “Thank you,” Kai replied.

“Hey, you can call me Ally. You’re Isla, right? I didn’t introduce myself properly before.”

I nodded and she smiled at me again. God, this girl is gorgeous.

“Yes, nice to officially meet you, Ally.”

“Thanks. I’m gonna look around. I see a few men eyeing me out already.”

  And so they should.

Three men crowded Ally the moment she stepped away. I brought my attention back to Kai.

“That does not surprise me,” I grinned.

“All the men here would be onto you as well if I hadn’t claimed you.” Kai raised his eyebrows at me.

I leaned in closer and whispered to him. “They’re not the ones I want.”

  “You’re fucking amazing, Isla.”

  “Thank you,”

Kai inched closer and pressed his lips on my forehead. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. The chatter in the room drowned out the sound from blood in my ears.

“I need to use the bathroom. I’ll be back.”

I made my way to the ensuite, receiving a few stares from the men in the room. After I managed to freshen up, I headed back to the bar. Kai was talking to Warren, the man from the last penthouse party. I stood beside them waiting for them to finish talking, but my ears caught the last of their conversation.

“Will it work?” Warren asked Kai.

Kai nodded slowly. “Yes, I’ll make sure of it.”

“Those guys better not fuck it up. We could make millions by doing it this way,” Warren growled.

“Fuck. I’ll kill them myself. Just make sure you have everything ready.”

“Where are you going to hide the cash,” Warren whispered.

“Let me worry about that. You worry about the take.”

Warren noticed me standing beside him. “Hey, beautiful. You’re back.”

I smiled and walked up to Kai. He put his arm around me and Warren took the hint.

“Right. You’ve got a good one, Kai,” Warren complimented.

“Don’t I know it?” Kai used his thumb to press against my chin, causing a smile to appear on my face.

Warren stood up and left Kai and I. Everyone continued to drink and enjoy the night. A few times I overheard conversations that Kai had with some men. They sounded just as shady as the one he had with Warren. Fuck. It doesn’t sound good. What the hell is he into? Eventually, all the men decided to play the sex game. Kai and I decided to step away and head to the pool.

“I hope you don’t mind going for a swim,” Kai winked.

I smiled and took each spaghetti strap of my dress and slid them down and under my arms. Swaying my hips, I shimmied out of the dress and stepped aside, leaving me in my undergarments.

  “You’re fucking gorgeous, Isla.”

I bit my lip, stepped to the pool, and outstretched my arms before diving into the water. When I came up for air, Kai was next to me.

  “Damnit,” he whispered.

Kai grabbed me by the waist and pushed me against the edge of the pool. He turned my body around and swept my dripping hair to the side, before his lips pressed against my neck. His hard cock dug into my back. God, he’s stiff as fuck. Kai took his hand and slithered it under my black laced bra, massaged the flesh before he squeezed my painfully erect nipple.

  “Oh, mmm,” I moaned.

Kai lifted his head and his hot breath fixed against my skin when he whispered beneath his breath. “I need you, baby.”

  Fuck. I need him too.

He gripped my waist and turned me around before his lips crashed with mine. My arms wrapped around his neck, and his hands slammed against my ass before he lifted me up. I broke the kiss.

  “Condom?”

He shook his head. “I’ll pull out. I just need to fuck you right now.”

Fuck. My pussy twitched and pulsated with his words. “Fuck me as hard as you want, Kai.”

  “Shit!”

Still holding on tight, Kai used one hand to lower my G-string before aligning his cock with my aching core. His erection slowly crept inside me, inch by inch, and filled me up completely. Kai’s thrusts were hard and fast, and both hands were now gripping my ass. I bit down on his shoulder which gave him ammunition to fuck me harder.

“Shit, Isla. You feel so fucking good,” he growled.

  “Oh, God!” I yelled.

“Fucking scream for me, baby. No one can hear us out here.”

The water splashed around us. My back thumped against the edge of the pool tiles and the pain was welcoming against the pleasure he was giving me. Our movements were erratic, desperate; we wanted each other and our actions showed it. Kai growled each time my nails dug into his back.

The intensity of his thrusts had caused my pussy to clench around him when my body reached its climax. My body shook beyond my control and I screamed out his name.

  “Fuck. Oh, Storm. Yes!”

  “Fuck, baby.”

Kai pulled out his cock and grunted when he found his release. “Argh.”

He gently placed me down into the water, cupped my face with his hands before he crashed his lips with mine.

  “God damn, you’re amazing.”

I bit my lip and leaned away from him. We spent the next hour swimming, and stealing a few kisses from each other, right up until I started to get cold.

“I think we need to head in.”

  “You’re freezing.”

I nodded. My arms ran up and down to settle the goosebumps that raised on my skin. We made our way to the pool steps and stumble
d up them. After grabbing a towel, I wrapped it around my body and we both headed to the ensuite. Storm quickly got changed and headed back out to the party. I stepped into the bathroom and freshened up. When I finished, I heard the most terrifying scream which almost stopped me from breathing.

  “OH, MY GOD, HE’S DEAD!”

  Holden

I was lying in bed when my phone started to blare. The time was two am in the morning and my first thought was who the fuck would be ringing me at this time. I grabbed my phone which was snug under my pillow, looked at the caller I.D, but the number was private. Answering regardless, I heard Isla’s shaking voice over the receiver.

  “Holden, it’s me…I…I need your help…”

  You Lied to Me

  Holden

“Daisy,” I whispered and gently rubbed the side of Daisy’s arm. She mumbled beneath her breath.

  “Mmm?”

“Baby, wake up.” I pushed slightly harder against her and she stirred. She’s so fucking beautiful and I could watch her sleep for hours, but I need to get her up. I had just received a call from Isla who was scared out of her mind. She was sitting in a cell at the police station and was taken into remand. Isla wouldn’t tell me over the phone why she was there, but she used her only call to ask for my help. God, what the hell has she gotten herself into?

I felt as panicked as she was over the phone. My heart was racing and I was scared for her.

“Daisy, please wake up.” My firm tone made her sit up in bed.

“Oh, my God. What?” she hissed.

Daisy had a lawyer in the family, and I was desperate for her to make contact.

“Isla is at the police station. She’s been taken in,” I let out a harsh whisper. Daisy’s eyes narrowed at me.

“Are you sure? I mean this is Isla we’re talking about.”

God, I wish it weren’t true. Isla has never been the type to put her foot in the wrong direction. She’s never been in trouble and I wasn’t sure what event turned her into the police station.

“I’m sure. She’s used her one phone call on me. We need to go and make sure she’s alright. Please call your aunty,” I begged.
