One, they said. Indeed!

What a joyous occasion for some

  For others; oh no

He was in our midst this whole time

  And we didn’t say go

Some gave acclaim which is lame

  The nature is quite tame

Future open for those with the right name

  Time to Rock and roll

Bon Scott in the family album

  He wasn’t no bum

  Maybe I am scum

But I’m a child of Rock & Roll

  Naked up high above

  Take hold the Black Dove

Show the girls what they need to know

  Put on a good show

It’s time to Rock & Roll

  New Day

Hello out there; does anybody care?

What it all means to rip at the seams, due to unanswered dreams

All new planning, for the right standing

  Life never stops moving

  Keep the constant flowing

  Energy lifting

With eternal blessing and no more messing

  Or waning

  Pick up the pace

  Last race

  Turn and face

The Dawn of the New Day

  Solitary

Solitary confinement for a few more days

Then hopefully awaken from this dreary haze

  Recapture lightening in a bottle

May still have to live in a hostile

Venture east, to the Frozen Tundra

But at least won’t need an umbrella

  Get back with baby’s momma

  Awaken from this dreamless coma

Still rely on others too much

Maybe I’m just out of touch

But nothing else for me here

  Remembrance of joy is clear

But time to move on to the old

The Dreams are ready to be sold

  Arlington

  My grandfather stays in Arlington

Met him once when I was young

  Now feel the strain

  Understand the pain

  But he’s gone now

  Too late to learn how

Long time forgotten of what was taken

  Lost stories forever buried

  But the spirit stayed

  Hopeful for new beginnings

In this wide world of open prospering

  One

  Bemoaning his catatonic confuse

The Joker was ready to amuse

There was nothing left to lose

Was the purpose his to choose?

  Laughing gently out to sea

  The Others stand by awkwardly

The peak of interest is your tonight

Be careful not to cause too much fright

The hair stands up as The Others back down

No more “Tears of the Clown”

  Joyousness beckons from the hall

  Come one, come all!

  The End

  Celebration day begins today

  Fortunes untold may delay

Waiting for heartbreak to round the corner

  Maybe love is in order

The one today seems to be the former

Stalling time soon to come to an end

New adventures lie ahead, as the plot thickens

Spiriting the next phase of the journey

Enjoying this time, thankful for the opportunity

  Now some mending and building

New hope rises with relation in healing

No more thoughts of resorting to stealing

  Enjoy this next bout

  Happiness; can it be bought?

  Enjoy every minute you can

Everyone get theirs in the end

  Space

  Long drive back tomorrow

Case of old stuff in tow

Back to second longest place I’ve been

Seven years it’s been since then

Same old place from the college years

Same place where I had the same fears

Grind through the winter that never seems to end

Faith in spring’s rebirth waning and it becomes hard to pretend

Small town surrounded by infinitely vast space

  Prefer a less isolated space

Now surrendering without pleading my case

  Striving forward toward the backward

Back to old times, I’ve left long behind

The world can never be too kind

  Cheney Summertime Blues

  Hanging out in Cheney

  Don’t start getting loony

Boredom sets in the hot summer heat

Not drinking to death, quite the feat

Get off the stoner couch once in a while

Move your feet, get silly in style

  Befriend the locals

  But don’t stay too long

Or else you might be singing the song

  The Cheney Summertime Blues

Find some production, in something besides

  Booze and weed and consumption

  Town clears out in mid-June

Leaving the same stale old tune

The long calm before the great storm

When the town doubles, and life again begins to roam

  Befriend the locals

  But don’t stay too long

Or else you might be singing the song

  The Cheney Summertime Blues

  Old Rail

  Exonerated behavior, excommunicate the believer

Then pester and poke for being a deceiver

Stay the same for all time

No change ever of your style

Ancient marauder grows bored with the deception

As they hastily clear for a new inception

Purpose still waivers out of reach

Others go to vacations on the beach

  Careful the company one keeps

Blood bonds only go so deep

Forced back on to the old rail

  Life is already feeling stale

Soon may be time to bail

Get out and about, set sail

  Sing Your Song

Meander through the mind field of misquotes and double talk

Wave of negatives means it’s time to go for a walk

Ignore the accusations that laugh at all the faults

Expectant outcome is good for the ones in charge

Although I may end up just hanging out in bars

Good people, not too consumed with symbols

Not allowing the elected to decide our principles

  Get strong, stay strong

  Correct the wrongs

  Sing your Song

  For Keeps

  Reunion planning has altered course

Action corrected to sooth the splintered force

Adjusting again to life in the real

Catching up with ones too long by

Pretended happiness to clear the path to fly

  Reassuring glances guide the way

Small steps easing forward to move on with the day

No need for another rain delay

  Reconnection, reconcile, the quick times

Before the fading memories slip by

  Soon complete

  No need to cheat

Don’t act like a dog in heat

  The Pack

There’s no such thing as 100%

So there’s always room for improvement

Feed the body with more than just food nourishment

Surviving this crazy place, quite the accomplishment

  Savor the small victories

  Anything to keep the peace

  Discover what life means

  In the world of dreams

Processing the information with ever changing ideas

Roaming free without the use of good melodies

Changing course with the ever changing trajectories

  Keep up with the pack

  No time for falling back<
br />
They are poised and ready to attack

  Correct Path

The union held steady through the misfit behavior

Of longings past and present, no needed savior

  Playful games that faded away

Disconnect the correct way, before causing too much dismay

Agreeable nature succumbed to pressure then tying up the loose ends to reassure

Closing the pending tide before the next seizure

Flat line desperation to ignite the fuse

  Seasons continue always too soon

Interruptions in patterns start to confuse

Bonding together, they use and abuse

Proclaiming absolutes about the correct path

The fear of dominating, or finishing last

Anyone can have a difficult past

Insure the questions that need to be asked

It’s difficult to take off the mask

  Awaken

The awakening is still young; still testing things out

In the near future, brightness will bloom

  Shunning the rising gloom

  Voices beckon from above

So close but still can’t hear, people start to shove

  Concentrated energy moving gracefully

  The opportunity diminished quickly

Scattered dreams pilling up on top of each other

  Long lost brother

  Avoid the destruction

  And constant fluctuation

The realities of time and space

Causing a fever to win the race

  Awaken your life

  That is passing you by

  Do more than just try

Conquer the evil that tries to fly

  Live Now

Wasting away in one of my old homes

Then decide which way to roam

  Beer spilling with the foam

Idle wonderings until things get better

Then decide which one will get wetter

Pursue with luster things The Others consider nastier

Opportunity presents itself to excuse your self

Golden chances gathering dust on a shelf

Live now, get off your ass; but show a little class

Before making a half assed pass

  Promise Land

  Ponder to corporate interests

  Deny your survival instincts

Let The Man decide how you live

Incarcerate those who dare to live

Let them take it all even when you have nothing left to give

  Let them run the show

They are the only ones who know

We are busy little ants scurrying around

Our saving grace is never found

Scrapping away as we try to live right

Corporate’s unquenchable greed is an evil might

Stealing the blind’s chance for sight

  Throw ‘em out soon

  Before the impending doom

Let’s take a stand, take my hand

Let’s make it the promise land

  The Rise

Philosophizing while being an idle shit

Anything, well not anything to get a hit

Waiting for the herb to rejuvenate the brain

Then continue with ease without worry of who to blame

There is more to life than fame

But none of us are completely one in the same

  Who decides what is sane?

Pressures unyielding and the thirst un-quenching and the women unending

Parade of enticement brings strong feelings

Now is the era for the rise

  Make the Arrogants step aside

It will now be our time

  Pretty Lady

Young at heart, disguised as an old fart

  Chasing down ladies who
