With a knowing grin, he asked with mock innocence. "Surely, now what might you have in mind?"
The look on Lijuan’s face told him all he needed to know.

They were back on yet another rooftop only this time it belonged To the Gossamer as the moon seemingly drifted in the direction of the western horizon; a soft breeze blew across their faces while that same wind whistled slowly, creating the perfect atmosphere Lijuan had in mind for them. She held Ross by the hand and guided him towards the middle of the roof, her eyes glancing over her shoulder as she peered seductively at him. He was holding onto a blanket under his arm he had picked up on their way to the roof earlier and now he let it tumble downward.
“Why here? I have a hotel with vacant rooms right under our feet,” Ross asked as soon as she turned and placed her palms on his solid chest. She gave him a sultry smile and let her fingers trail the length of his shoulders and arms. “Sometimes I just enjoy making love outside. Have you ever tried it?” she whispered but had no intention of letting him answer as the petite woman then went on her toes to kiss him.
His lips were warm and soft, getting her to mew appreciatively, especially when he moaned deeply into her mouth in response and wrapped his hands around her waist to pull her close. Instinctively, Lijuan plastered her robust chest against his and clutched his right leg with her left.Ross then lifted her off her feet prompting her to enthusiastically wrap her short legs around his waist, hungrily shoving her tongue deep into his mouth.
“Oh, Lijuan!”
Yes Lijuan, she thought to herself. She wanted him desperately. She felt herself awash in passion after the harrowing ordeal they had all just been through. Her breasts felt fully aroused and heavy on her chest while her thighs shook eagerly, loving the feel of his fingers as they grazed her sweaty skin.
With her suddenly roving hand, she shoved it through his waistband and down to squeeze his hardening cock. With the way he groaned aloud and stared wide-eyed at her, it was obvious that he was surprised at her aggressiveness and extremely aroused at the same time and she exploited that. She squeezed harder and kept a sultry smile fixed on her face. When he let out a louder moan, she removed her hand and used it with her other to grip his trousers and swiftly pulled them down along with his undergarments. A good-sized cock hanging before her was her reward for her efforts.
“Lijuan?”
He may have heard stories about a daring Chinese woman using a train to save a town, but that didn't mean he would have any idea what kind of wildcat she was when it came to the game of sex, she thought to herself and just to show him this, she knelt in front of him and pulled his entire length into her mouth.
“Lijuan!”
It was the third time that he was gasping out her name and it sent heady jolts of intoxicating pleasure down her spine. Lijuan felt the warmth between her legs extending to her knees and then to her feet while her heart thumped rapidly against her chest. By the time she began to move her head, sucking his dick as hard as she could, her clit was already dripping wet…wanting him…desiring his considerable length.
“Take my clothes off.” She said immediately after, jerking his dick out of her mouth and standing proudly in front of him. “Strip me now!”
He blinked twice as if he was trying to jolt himself out of a trance. He was far gone in the passion of having his dick sucked; It didn’t take long to get her nude as she only wore Little Flower’s dress that was at least dry now. He reached for the bottom of it and pulled it up and over her breasts that rose upward and then jiggled as they dropped free from their prison. The moment her breasts became bare, he froze and stared at them, unable to take his eyes away from the beautiful melon size. Lijuan tossed her head around, her long blackish/brown tresses swaying under the motion as she placed her hands on her hips.
“I imagine you’d rather suck them rather than staring at them I reckon?” she chuckled, and he smiled, obviously gladdened by her suggestion. When he inched closer and held the left one in his hand, she held his head and pulled him closer, thrilled beyond words when his lips circled her nipples and suckled hungrily.
“Ross!”
It was her turn to moan his name, and she did enthusiastically. Lijuan held his head tighter and fed him her breasts, letting him suck harder and faster until more gasps escaped his lips. "I want you, Lijuan." She held him plead. "I want you now you Chinese beauty, please."
A smile escaped her lips, and she glanced over his shoulder at the blanket he had dropped earlier. It was a few feet away from them, and she pushed him towards it, quickly getting him to lie on his back. When that was done, she sat atop of him, held his dick and guided it into her warm dripping hole. He let out another moan, and she began to ride him…slowly at first and then as fast as he could, getting him to dip deeper into her until she could think of nothing else but the rippling desires that filled her entire body. All thoughts of the trouble with Dutch, her animosity towards Bright Feather, a desperate ride over a waterfall to escape…all of it faded away. There was only her and Ross now in the entire world.
"More!" She yelled at him as she jumped off him, held him by the hand again and pulled him back towards a nearby large rain barrel standing sentinel on the roof. Releasing her grip on him, she turned the empty wooded cask on its side. Turning her back to him, she flung her arms across it, her breasts pressing against it, arched her back and readied herself for his entry.
“Take me now, Ross.” She told him. “I want you to make me breathless.”
And he did. He shoved his dick hard into her and didn’t stop to breathe. She felt his rigid shaft hitting her hard until she was digging her finger nails into the softened wood of the old barrel as he continued to ram harder and raucously.
Lijuan felt it before he did. His cock jerked harder inside her while her honeywell clasped around the welcome invader, signaling her rising climax. Unable to control it, she began to move with him, meeting his thrust with her own until eventually; he held her waist firmly, pulled his dick out of her and splashed his load all over her bare back at the same moment her whole body shook in waves as she too came.
Their sweat drenched bodies were immobile for the next few seconds, each catching their breath until Lijuan glanced over her shoulder with another sultry smile and as she brushed away her hair matted to her forehead she cooed, "Thanks for the warm-up, Ross Tatum. Now, are you ready for the real fun?"
CHAPTER 33
HOTEL FRANCO
Palmarez, Mexico
Dutch stretched with a smile feeling fully rested even after their night of passion. For now, they had set aside their problem until a time it could be adequately dealt with. He began thinking about the job he had to get to soon. He felt re-energized, and as he thought about the deal he had used to suck Salazar into their plot, there was one aspect that troubled him. He glanced down at Bright Feather next to him on the bed.
"So far so good with the plan. It bothers me that he went for it so quickly. It feels too easy. You know what I mean?" he asked her. She was a smart woman, and he learned a long time before that her counsel was always worth asking for.
“Yes, my love, I feel the same. We need to be more vigilant as we proceed with him. It appears that we duped him easily, but he is a cold-blooded killer at heart,” she said thoughtfully.
Dutch nodded.
“Every time I speak to him I want to murder him for what he did to my fellow troops and many more in his outlaw career,” Dutch commented honestly.
“Justice will be served at the end of a rope,” Bright Feather said firmly.
“All we have to do is get him back to Arizona. It’s almost time for me to meet him. Let’s go over it one more time,” he recommended. Bright Feather pushed herself up on one elbow, looking down thoughtfully. He liked how she always took these things seriously. Even lying naked next to him.
“You and Salazar will ride out of town. I’ll wait an hour, so you can cross the open San Dimas Wastes as there is no way I could
follow you without being seen by him. That will give you enough time to get through the San Dimas and skirt around the east side of Los Valdez Mountain, into the foothills. The ones that run unbroken across the border.” She explained the plan. Dutch nodded at her succinct recital.
"Right, and once I'm in those foothills, I'll tell him we will stop for an hour to rest and water the horses. I will do it at the spot we picked for it on the way down. That should give you plenty of time to catch up and be able to trail behind us without him noticing. You shouldn't be needed, but in case he does something unexpected it will be good to have you ready. My own ace in the hole," he said laughing and leaned over kissing her.
“I always have your back, my love,” she responded with a smile.
“And I yours,” he answered.
They smiled at each other, and both thought the same thing. They were happy to have put their issues aside for the time being and were back on the same page. Dutch sat up then.
“Let’s go get something to eat at what passes for the local restaurant. I think we have time for a quick bite before I have to meet Salazar in the lobby,” he said, and she agreed.

Not far away Hardcastle led his horse down the street and saw that miscreant Bill who had ruined his grandpa’s rifle accompanied by Yellow Bird. Something about the man still bothered Hardcastle. He looked at his horse and stroked his nose, stopping to lean against a post.
“I have a feeling I have seen him before. I just don’t know where. If I could just remember,” he told his horse as sometimes he felt like he had to vocalize his thoughts to make sense of the world around him. Finally, he shrugged. Patting his mount again. "Hell, that ain't important anyway. What is, is winning Tess back from Salazar. Knowing her, she'll be at the saloon soon. Don’t matter how early it is before that dove starts drinking. I'll stop by and take another run at her," he told his horse, and the animal snorted, liking his touch and the sound of his voice.
Later, as he intended, Hardcastle returned to the saloon and tied up his animal in front and went into the bar. Sure enough, she was sitting by herself sipping a shot glass. He smiled. She was so lovely in the green velvet dress that made her chest bulge up and out of it enticingly. Everything about her was lovely, he thought. He had to get her back. It was his driving desire at that point. He walked over to her casually.
“What you drinking little lady?” he asked politely.
“Horse piss. At least compared to the fine Corderro wine I was having last night. Speaking of which, no hard feelings about what went down. I know your grandfather’s rifle that Bill destroyed meant a lot to you, but you were trying to shoot Salazar though,” Tess pointed out.
“I, I lost my temper, Tess. I sure am sorry about that. It was just the sight of you with Rodrigo was a hard pill to swallow. You know how I feel about you,” he told her, and she nodded.
"I know. Despite what I said last night, we did have a couple of good times together. I’m sorry, Hardcastle, but I’m with him now. There are things that man can do, oh lord, when I’m with him, God have mercy. I know you don't want to hear it, but the things he does to me make me so wild!" she exclaimed, and she was right, he didn't want to hear it, that was except for something she said that sparked his memory, and he immediately remembered where he knew “Bill” from.
“Wild! That’s it!” he said.
“What’s what?” she asked.
“Wilde! That guy Bill. His real name is Wilde and he is a captain in the United States Army. I was in Phoenix a couple years ago, and he was testifying in a trial of my friend who got arrested for attempted robbery of a train,” Hardcastle said.
“I got to admit he was a bit of a clean-cut guy to be an outlaw. Why would he be in Palmarez with that squaw of his?” she asked wonderingly.
“Dontcha see, Tess? The heat is on Salazar for killing those troops. They must have sent Wilde down here pretending to be an outlaw to capture him. The squaw is probably just part of his plan. We gotta warn him!” Hardcastle said urgently.
"They sure seemed like a real couple to me, but never mind that. I don't get it, Hardcastle. You were ready to shoot him last night, and now you want to help him, why?" she asked leaning in towards him.
"It's different, Tess. Sure, we ain't partners no more, and he's tapping you, but he's one of us. He's our kind, and Wilde is the law. Hell, I’d save my worst enemy’s life if it meant choosing between him and a lawman!” he proclaimed, though a part of him wondered and hoped this revelation might help him get Tess back.
“Even if he is here for him, Wilde would have no chance of getting him back over the border,” she said.
“The Army wouldn’t send him down here without a plan!”
Tess felt her heart plummet. Last night Salazar had revealed at their party he was going to be doing some sort of job with Bill, but neither one of them had gone into any specifics of it. Only that it was going to be happening today and was going to make them a lot of money. Now she knew it was a trap.
"Come on! We've got to stop Rodrigo before it’s too late!" she shouted and made her way for the door with Hardcastle at her heels. When they burst into the hotel, the woman at the desk smiled stiffly — the only kind of smile she seemed able to accomplish.
“Señorita Tess, if you came looking for your man, he was here an hour ago, meeting up with the gringo that just came to town, Mr. Bill. They left on their horses,” she told them.
“Any idea where to, Señora Gomez?” Tess asked politely.
“I cannot seem to recall what it is they said,” she responded blankly. Hardcastle flipped her a coin.
“Does that make a difference?” he asked.
“Si, I suddenly remember them discussing which trail to take north. The gringo decided it was best to take the northwest trail towards Valdez Mountain instead of crossing the badlands. Salazar seemed to agree,” she told them.
“North! That’s proof enough. Somehow Captain Wilde is luring Salazar back across the border!” Hardcastle said.
“It’s their trap! Just like I thought! I can’t believe he got duped!” Tess fumed.
"Come on, Tess. It's Salazar we are talking about. He was born greedy! Wilde must have led him down some garden path to possible riches. I gotta go after them. If I ride like the wind, I can catch up to them even with their hour's lead! No one in this shithole has a faster horse than I do!" Hardcastle blustered. He turned to leave immediately, but Tess tugged him back to her and kissed him long and hard.
“For luck,” she told him when she finished.
As he went out to his horse, he was smiling. One step closer to Tess being his again. Tess turned to Gomez who was smiling mockingly.
“A woman who flits between two men is messing with fire and will always get burned,” the clerk said.
“Speaking from experience, from back in the day you could get some man’s interest,” Tess returned, annoyed. The woman started laughing, tossing her head back.
“You make this old lady laugh. For that, I will reward you with a little bit of information that your friend did not wait to hear. That squaw, she is still in the room now. Getting ready to leave, my granddaughter who cleans told me,” Gomez informed her. Tess’s face hardened in anger and she pulled up her skirts and took out a knife from a sheath under the fabric.
“It looks like I am going to bury me a little Yellow Bird,” she said viciously.
“Try not to make a mess. I can never get the blood out that soaks into the floor,” she said in return as Tess made her way towards the stairs with murder on her mind.
CHAPTER 34
TOWN OF HORSESHOE
Arizona Territory
The following morning a sense of normality began to return to the town of Horseshoe. Sometime around the crack of dawn, the sheriff and his posse returned with what was left of the Liam O’Sullivan gang. Its leader and most of the members had been killed in a shootout when the posse had managed to catch up with them where the bandits had been forced to stop
to wait out a massive sandstorm that was blocking their escape route.
To the delight of the already relieved townspeople, their money had been recovered and was already back in the bank whose manager promised to hire armed guards so there would never be a repeat of what had gone down the day before. The sheriff and his men had been astonished to learn that the town could have fallen to a massacre in their absence but for the timely arrival of a China woman and her injun brother.
The aforementioned pair was now sitting on the padded bench seat of their father’s magnificent coach having just said their goodbyes to their new friends and many members from the grateful populace. Lijuan had given Ross Tatum a wink and told him to look her up if he was ever in Alamieda and she would show him around Cedar Ledge … among other things.
The carriage had just started rolling when a man jostled his way free from the crowd and ran up to the side where Lijuan sat. Blue River stopped the carriage, and she recognized the man as Farquhar.
“Ma’am. I never did properly thank you for saving my life. You can feel free to pitch me over a waterfall any time you would like,” he said with a grin, “You have my sincerest thanks.”
Lijuan leaned in towards the man and lowered her voice. "If you want to thank me, Mr. Farquhar, you break it off with all the other women I know you have in town after town. That Rosalee Tatum is a keeper. You have no idea how upset she was when you were in the hands of the Mescaleros," she straightened up with a smirk as she looked at the blood draining away from the traveling salesman's face. "Can you do that for me?"
“You can count on it, Miss Wilde!” he said, trying to keep his voice low as he nodded his head sincerely. “I’m a one-woman man from now on!”
"That's good because I can do a lot more than throw you over a waterfall if I find out you haven't been true to her."
Farquhar took his hat off and clutched it in front of him, "Yes, ma'am. Understood, ma'am." With that, he stepped back, and Blue River started the carriage on its way once more. Lijuan took a final glance back at Farquhar, the Tatums, the rancher Lane Scott, the portly mayor who had sobered up and a host of other townsfolk. As they rolled past the jail, she caught sight of the forlorn face of Francis LaRue staring out at her.
