Property of Lucian

He owned me—he got every part—but my heart was off limits to him.

His fingers teased my nipples. A small gasp escaped my mouth and when it did, I shuttered with delight—this was the first time I was to feel pleasure.

Then a growl escaped his mouth at my moan, the next thing I knew I was up in the air, against the tiled wall. The cold tiles sent sparks through my body.

I had to let go of him because of his sudden movement and changing of positions.

One moment his mouth was on my nipple and the next, he pulled me down on his length. My hands locked around his neck while my legs wrapped around his waist. Slowly, he moved me up and down.

  I enjoyed it.

But, I liked to be fucked hard. The not being able to move after it was my type of sex.

Was he being gentle on purpose?

He nipped my collarbone when I realised I had accidently closed my eyes.

  “You ready?”

I frowned. He had never asked me for anything, but he was preparing me.

Then his length thrust into me, the gasp I let out could have been heard rooms away.

My fingers dug into his back, and the feeling of arousal floated through my body. This was exactly the type of fucking I liked. I didn’t do—nor ever have done—sweet and gentle.

The water sprayed over our bodies and in the moment, I had hit the tap with my arm, which resulted in freezing cold water spraying over my body. It was a senseless feeling that spread through my body. I didn’t think of the man who was unleashing this fire within me. Didn’t think about the tattooed skulls on his body—ones I had a feeling stood for each life taken.

The have no mercy tattooed across his chest told me he believed in it and withheld it. It was one of the codes/laws that was carved in the wood out in the hall.

My back arched as my body was building to a much-needed release but just as I was getting there, he pulled out.

Didn’t think of what to do, it was like I already knew. I unwrapped my legs from around him, dropping to my knees, and taking his full length in my mouth, swallowing and sucking his flesh, loving every moment. Then the familiar taste of his cum filled my mouth, and I swallowed his full load.

Exhaustion slowly came over my body, and I would do anything for sleep. I think the only thing keeping me away was the buzz of sex we had just had, and I was thankful he hadn’t kept fucking me the way he had been as I would have finished and would have found it impossible to keep my eyes open.

  “Haylee?”

I blinked a few times and tilted my head back, looking up at him. He was blocking the spray of the water with his back, and I knew how cold that water had been.

A shiver ran through my body.

“Come on, let’s head to bed.”

I think the lack of sleep was playing with my head now as I swore had he had just said bed. I knew my punishment wasn’t over—no way would I get sex and sleep in the same night.

I was too exhausted to stand, and he wrapped an arm around me and pulled me to my feet.

My eyes got heavy, and the next thing I felt was my body sinking into a mattress and a blanket being placed over my freezing body.

I swear I felt a gentle kiss on my cheek before my eyes got too heavy to fight back.

  Chapter 3

  Haylee

A radiating heat was filling me, sending blissful shocks through my body. I was warm, in bed, safe. I rolled over. God, I felt like I had just lived a nightmare. And what a nightmare it was, being Lucian’s woman. My sleepy eyes opened, and I blinked. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. I gasped, sitting up. This wasn’t my room! Hell, had I passed out at one of the clubs again? Had the bartender been kind enough to show me a room?

  “I need ya to leave.”

I gulped, and it wasn’t because of an unfamiliar voice. No, it was the opposite. I knew that voice and with tears brimming in my eyes, I looked up. I saw Lucian standing there, threading his club patch on.

  It hadn’t been a nightmare . . . it was a nightmare.

“Got my girl coming in, can’t have you here.”

My stomach dropped. His girl. God, I was his property, not a woman he wanted to love. I weakly nodded my head and in this moment, it hit me like a hurricane—I was basically a slave. Emotions overcame me, and the tears fell as I dropped to the floor looking for my clothes.

  “Haylee.”

I wiped the tears from my eyes and looked at him. “What?” I didn’t say the one word disrespectful, in fact, I tried to say that word with as much respect as I could muster.

“Ya clothes are in the bathroom, wet and on the floor. Get dressed and leave.” With those words, he walked out of the room.

I knew he had saved me from a gang rape last night. Why he had, I still wasn’t sure. Clearly, he had a woman but wanted his slave—which was me—to disappear while she was here.

I wondered if he was one of those bikers that tried to live a full normal life outside of these club walls.

I walked into the bathroom. Sure enough, my clothes were damp and on the tiled floor.

I was tempted to slip one of the big warm jumpers on, but I knew if his girl saw me in his clothes, I’d be dead and so would Harley.

I slipped the damp clothes on and left the room, making sure there was no trace of me in it.

  * * *

I was behind the bar, cleaning jugs and trying to stay busy. No one had spoken to me, apart from the President. It was like I was off limits.

Even the club girls stayed clear of me. It actually seemed like they were enjoying having a slave for themselves. I cleaned, moped the floors, did all the jobs I knew they would normally do.

The sound of motorcycles pulling in the load scored most attention from the members at the club. A few of the men hovered near the double black doors—which I was too scared to stand near, let alone go in—began to walk away. It was as if they had been guarding it but were leaving their post.

Then it happened in a second.

A loud thud of the clubhouse door broke open. The members that had been guarding the door slammed their fists against it. Then they ran.

I looked at the entrance, three men had a gun pointed and a few bullets whizzed through the air.

My hand wrapped around the shotgun under the bar. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw two girls and one boy come running into the bar.

  Fuck.

I didn’t know there were kids here!

I aimed the shotgun. With so much training, I knew the kick back and aimed fired, it was a warning shot. And the man leading the attack knew that. I moved around the bar and stood in front of the kids.

“Think your next move through clearly,” I spoke loudly and clearly to the gang of bikers who looked like they wanted to ambush the clubhouse.

The man looked at the way I was holding the gun, even looked somewhat impressed.

“A woman that can shoot?” He stepped forward. “Just because you can aim, doesn’t mean you have the stomach to fire.”

I was fully in Haylee seek and destroy mode now. I wasn’t thinking about the backlash this could have. I was just thinking about the kids who were huddling behind me.

I rose the gun up and took my top off, showing my tattoo on my rib cage.

“Do you know where I got this tattoo?” I knew the men were slightly stunned that I was now standing here in a bra, but I didn’t care. All I cared about was that they got the picture.

“Guessing the Vegas slaughter?” He titled his head and his expression dropped. “I see we are dealing with someone that isn’t afraid to take a life. But my question for you is, are you willing to take lives for a club that treats you like shit?”

“Are you ready to die for a club that sent you here on a suicide mission?”

Then there was a flick of a wrist. The sudden movement made me react and I fired, twice, taking out the man who had aimed at the children, blowing his hand off and then his arm. He dropped to the floor shaking in pain. There was no going back now.

Kids, cover your eyes!” I yelled.

The leader aimed, but I moved faster, taking him out with a steak knife that was on a table from lunch.

The blood from his neck sprayed across my body as I was quick to slice his throat. Then, just as the last guy went to move, I dropped the knife and picked up the man’s gun, firing it in the bloke’s face.

Three bodies laid on the ground. It happened so fast, I just reacted—I hadn’t even realised that the double doors had opened in the middle of the fight.

I stood there with blood dripping down my body. Thank God the kids had listened and hadn’t looked up. They were on the floor, eyes shut.

I rose, dropping the gun and standing in the midst of blood and bodies.

“I didn’t have a choice,” I said to the President and his members.

But it was his eyes I felt the most. I couldn’t look at him, but then as if he had commanded it out loud my eyes went to him. For the first time, I saw something other than raw need for sex in his eyes.

I looked at Lucian for longer than a few seconds and it wasn’t an enforcer patch I saw on his chest. No. It was International President. My stomach dropped. Holy fucking hell. I thought I had hooked up with an enforcer, but I hadn’t. Lucian was the man that the Presidents answered to.

“Dash, I think Haylee deserves a room and some clothes for that.” Lucian looked at me with what could be mistaken as pride in his eyes. “No other woman in here would have been able to handle that, and I see ya men who were meant to be guarding the room fucked off.” He gave the president, Dash—who scared the shit out of me—a snarly look. As if they would have words about Dash’s men disappearing.

“Haylee, make a list . . . I’ll get the girls to shop for you. As for a room, we are full.” Dash may have been speaking to me, but my attention and eyes were on the little girl who was on the floor, holding back tears.

“I’ll sleep in a booth,” I muttered to Dash before I walked towards the little girl and dropped to my knees. “Are you okay, sweetheart?” She was huddled down on the ground. “What’s wrong?”

“Get up!” Lucian ordered. This was the first time I was going to disobey him.

“Sweetheart, are you okay?” I asked the girl, her tears falling. However, her lips remained sealed.

  “Get up!”

I took my eyes off the girl and looked up at him. “No. Not till I know what is wrong with this child. And if you hurt her, I’ll hurt you.”

Stunned, Lucian’s expression dropped completely. I looked back at the girl and tucked her raven hair behind her ear. “Sweetheart, what is wrong?” She then moved and held out her hand. I saw the splinter immediately; it was large and must have been from the wooden floor.

Knowing where the first aid kit was, I got up, grabbed it, and went back to her.

“Now, I need you to take a deep breath, and I don’t want you to watch.” I made sure my voice sounded calm. Something about her told me she didn’t cope with pain or blood well. “What’s your name?” I asked before taking the supplies I needed from the kit.

  “Massie.”

“Well, Massie, I want you to tell me your favourite television show. I want all the details,” I said, and as I took her hand, she shook. “Now, who is your favour character and what is the show?”

She murmured a reply and I continued to ask her questions but couldn’t hear her answers. I was so focused on getting the huge chunk of the floor out of her hand. Eventually, it worked. I had distracted her, and the whole splinter was out.

“Can you watch it with me?” Massie spun around and looked at me. She wasn’t even squirming in pain or crying anymore. “I have it on record in Dad’s room.”

My expression dropped. Fuck, I didn’t even think about her parents.

“Um,” I muttered. Oh my god, I was so far out of my depth here.

“Dad?” The girl looked up over my shoulder. “Can we watch television together?”

My tooth sunk into my bottom lip. I knew what was coming my way. I had just touched a member’s daughter without permission. Sure, I was trying to help, but a member of this brotherhood wouldn’t understand.

“Haylee, would you mind watching Sabrina with Massie?”

  My stomach dropped.

  My stomach twisted.

I turned around and looked up at Lucian, who seemed to be Massie’s dad.

  Chapter 4

  Haylee

A shiver ran down my body as I sat on the couch in Lucian’s room. Massie and I were watching Sabrina, and the damp clothes were causing me to freeze. Another shiver ran through my body. I had showered to get the blood off but putting back on damp clothes wasn’t pleasant. Because stupid me had left them on the floor of the en-suite.

  “Haylee?”

I kept my eyes on the television. “Yes, Lucian.”

Silence followed and because of the silence, I looked in his direction. I found him standing there with a speechless look on his face. What had I done? I got up and moved around the couch. Massie was giggling on the couch, watching a television show that wasn’t aimed at ten-year-olds.

I arched my eyebrows at him, not sure what I had done. He wrapped his hand around my wrist and pulled me into the en-suite. One second I was so confused as to why he looked so startled and the next, the door closed and his speechless expression had ceased. Instead, determination crossed his face, his eyes flashed to my lips. I don’t know what I was expecting but for his lips to be on mine . . . well, I wasn’t expecting that.

It wasn’t sweet, it wasn’t gentle. He kissed me with aggression as if he was furious with me. A moan escaped my lips as he deepened the kiss, sending a growl from his mouth. And then I was up on the basin, and he was pressing against me.

His fingers moved down my shirt, unbuttoning my top, and dropping the damp top to the ground. Another shiver ran through my body, and he took a step back.

I watched in complete shock as he removed his vest, then his hoodie. How could he expect to have sex with his daughter in the other room?

A door was keeping us separate from Massie; and he had to know by now that I wasn’t quiet when it came to sex.

His T-shirt went up, and I caught a glimpse of his tattoos. I wondered what was the story behind them—I was positive there was a story behind each tattoo, just like mine.

He then extended the hoodie to me, and I looked at it. Unsure what he was doing because giving me clothing was a huge move. Considering he had just broken his routine of not kissing me.

“Just fucking take it, Haylee,” he growled at me. I was quick to take it off his hands, threading the warm jumper on. The warmness was a welcome to my skin, and I bathed in the feeling of it.

Finally, I began to feel warm like I had this morning before I was thrown out of the room. It now only occurred me that when Lucian had said his girl, he had actually meant his child. My eyes widened. He wasn’t speaking about a woman, though I’m sure Massie’s mum was still in the picture.

  “Lucian?”

He looked over his shoulder at me. That same expression from when I said his name earlier was back on his face.

“What do you want me to do?”

“Entertain my daughter.” He then opened the door and closed it

This morning he didn’t want me near his daughter, now he was telling me to entertain her? What had changed?

I put my hands in the pocket, feeling a phone. Pulling it out, I went to call for Lucian that I had his phone, but then it occurred to me that I could call Harley. He would come with every man that answered to us—ensuring my freedom.

I checked the phone and it didn’t have a lock on it.

I looked down at the tattoo on my arm. Chained by blood, Chained by love. Me and my brother’s matching tattoo.

Harley needed me to keep his empire running.

So do I call my brother and his men to escape Lucian, or do I stay? I scoffed, why the fuck would I stay? The only reason I could think of was that Harley wouldn’t leave the
fight until I was back at his side. Which meant he would die before he let Lucian win.

  Chapter 5

  Haylee

Lucian was out front with Massie waiting for her mother. That left me in the club with men that kept giving me a second glance. Maybe because I had killed three men earlier today, or perhaps because I was wearing Lucian’s hoodie—which was clearly his as it had the international president symbol on it.

I was back to cleaning jugs behind the bar when the door burst open and in stormed a blond, scanning the room.

  “Where is he!” she snarled.

I hadn’t seen her around before, she mustn’t be a club girl. I knew most of them by now, but also by the way the girl dressed, I could tell she wasn’t property of the club.

One of the double black doors opened and out walked Lucian. Wait . . .. I thought he was outside with Massie.

The woman pointed a finger at him. “This is the last time that you care for her, Lucian! You hear me! I am making sure you lose your rights. After what she just told me, no sane judge would let you care for her ever again!”

Lucian was a man of few words and few expressions, that much I had worked out. But as I stared at him now, something told me his whole world revolved around that little girl.

Just the thought of him losing her sent panic across his face. I knew it wasn’t my place, but I didn’t want Lucian in trouble for something I had done.

I didn’t move around the bar heading to them because I was his property and had to. I did it because something inside me was telling me it was the right thing to do. I knew how earth-shattering it could be to someone to lose their rights.

After all, Harley had lost me to the system for a few months, and it broke him. I came back to a man that was scarred from losing me. He never let me out of his sight after that and did everything possible to protect me.
