Stepping around the edge of the building, I start firing. Shots ring through the party as bodies start to fall.
I see Roc, and the rest of the guys moving in on their side as well. A small smile creeps across my face as I see the look on Roc’s face. That motherfucker is deadly right now. Shots are fired back at us, but we had the element of surprise on our side. They didn’t see us coming. Screams can be heard for miles, but it’s the low-life President that I now see running for cover, that pisses me off. He’s just leaving his men behind to be murdered.
“Bastard,” Mumbling under my breath, I feel a burn rip through my chest. My world spins around me but I maintain my balance.
“You’re hit!” Ghost hollers over the sounds of the commotion that’s going on around us. I glance down, bringing my fingers to my chest. I see the blood, but the adrenaline is keeping the pain at bay.
I’m too amped for this shit to stop me now.
“Get me inside to that motherfucker!” I roar. Ghost knows I saw him running. He nods his head before shooting a straight line to the clubhouse door.
Chapter 25
My chest feels like it’s seizing up. The air is being sucked out of me like a vacuum. The clubhouse blurs, as I blink my eyes trying to get it back in focus.
“You don’t look good, brother.” Ghost is in my face but this shit isn’t stopping me.
“I need him, Ghost.” I can hear the shots slowly dying down outside. Ghost nods his head, wrapping an arm around my waist. If this is the last thing I do, I will kill the motherfucker that ordered that shit on Angel. With my last breath, I will take his. Ghost leads me through the clubhouse, aiming his gun around every corner when we hear movement in the back. His eyes come to mine as I try to take a deep breath. I move away from Ghost. He isn’t happy about it but he lets me go.
“I’m right behind you.” Nodding, I know he is. He isn’t going anywhere either. We make our way into the back room. My eyes blink rapidly trying to get them to focus.
“Runnin’ like a bitch, huh?” The words tumble out as I watch the piece of shit trying to get out a back exit. His hands stop, slowly lowering from the lock, before he slowly turns to face us. The grin on my face couldn’t possibly get any bigger than it is right now.
“Devil. You piece of shit,” The man growls, knowing who I am. That makes my smile that much bigger.
He reaches for his waist, where I know he has a gun. However, I’m faster.
I shoot a hole straight through his wrist. His bellows fill the room as I walk a little closer to him.
“You remember me?” I ask. I look into his eyes when it all hits me. The kid, the one they said I killed a while back. It was his.
“I’d never forget you. You killed my son.” He grunts. Shaking my head, I aim for his.
“Your son was a prick. He was goin’ to die, regardless of who pulled the trigger.” I like seeing them pissed. I like seeing that rage and anger in someone’s eyes when I bring up the past.
“You killed him for nothin’!” His bellows do nothing to me. I feel nothing in this moment.
“Nothin’? He was workin’ in the wrong place. He got sent straight to hell.”
His growl rips through the room but he doesn’t make a move to come near me. He knows he’s on the losing end of this shit.
“This won’t end anything, and you know it.” Swallowing hard, I look at him.
“It will end somethin’. It will end the fear that you instilled in my old lady. It will end that hate that she has to feel, thinkin’ that you’re still alive.” He watches me closely for a minute before he smiles.
“Angel was your bitch, huh? She was tasteful. I almost kept that slut for myself. I kind of knew she was yours. When your name left those little lips of hers, I shut her up with my dick.” Fire burns through me. It rips my insides apart. My chest heaves and it isn’t from the gun shot. It’s rage.
“You made two mistakes with her. You let her go for one, and you let her know who you were. A smart man would have killed her. A dumb man let her go, sent her back home. Did you think she wouldn’t tell?” His eyes dance with amusement.
“I thought she’d be dead by the time you found her. That was the initial plan.” My throat constricts. All the air is being sucked from my lungs.
“Does it make you sorry that she isn’t? Does it piss you off that I killed your son like the bitch he was–and I keep my girl?” His eyes blaze before he takes a small step forward.
“She won’t live happily. I took that away from her. I made sure that every wakin’ second of her piece of shit life will be full of me! She will never forget, what I did to her!” I can hear Ghost growling behind me. He wants this fucker as much as I do.
“You know what the difference between you and me is? I will make her forget. I will make sure she’s happy. You, on the other hand. Your son is rottin’ in hell, at the hands of the Devil. At my hands!” Aiming for his leg, he falls to the floor with a thud.
“You see the beauty in torture, huh?” Shooting the other leg, he hollers more.
“I see it, too. I made your boy suffer.” Shooting into his left shoulder, he drops back.
“I can make you suffer, as well.” Pulling the trigger again, I take the other shoulder.
I stand over him, watching the blood seep from all the holes.
“I like the sufferin’. There’s so much beauty in watchin’ the blood, as it slowly drains away someone’s life. Your sons was the perfect display of death.”
***
He snarls up at me, but says nothing else. I knew he wouldn’t.
“Hey, Ghost. Pass me a knife.” Stuffing my gun into the back of my jeans, I stretch my hand out to Ghost.
He places the handle of his knife in my palm. My fingers curl around it as a grin spreads over my face.
“There are a few places that bleed out so slowly, that it will be a livin’ hell. All you can feel is the life slowly drainin’ away from you.” I bend down, slicing through his skin in select spots. Watching the blood ooze out of him sends jolts through my body.
“I will love watchin' every goddamn minute it drains out of you.” A few more and I stand up, watching as blood flows from multiple places on his body.
“You’re a sick fuck!” Grunting between his teeth, I smile.
“A sick fuck? You of all people, should know how I got my name. I’m, Devil.” He wants to say more. I can see it in his eyes but he doesn’t. He watches me.
“This make you happy? Will it make her forget the way I fucked her?” Ghost steps up next to me now. His hands balled into fists at his side.
“I’d like to show you how it felt, but my boy here already showed some of your friends. Pokin’ at the Devil is only goin’ to ignite a flame.” I smile at Ghost’s words. The guy looks between the two of us. My vision begins to blur once more as the adrenaline that has been pumping though me, slowly starts to fade.
“You don’t look so good.” Ghost places his arm around my waist.
“I’m gonna pass the fuck out, Ghost. Make sure you watch him die. Watch him drain for me.” I push out of his grasp, knowing what’s about to happen. It isn’t the first time I’ve been shot, but it sure as hell feels like the worst one.
I slam my back into the wall behind me, slowly sliding breathlessly to the floor. My eyes find that motherfuckers damn near dead ones. Of everything that I’ve done in my life. Of every kill, of every wrong doing. This is the best one. Watching the look in his eyes as he slowly fades from this life makes my stomach jump. Knowing that Angel will never have to live in fear of these assholes, makes my heart skip. I did it. I made this shit right for her. I killed that fucker.
As his eyes flicker–so do mine.
Chapter 26
“I’m still not giving up on you, Devil. You can’t just fucking leave me now.” Her voice is all I need to hear. I don’t know if I’m dead or not. That is, until I feel the pain shooting through me. I nearly leap off the bed when I twist a little too far one way, an
d the pain zaps every part of me.
“Son of a bitch!” My eyes snap open, hands shoving me back against the bed.
“Lay the fuck down, and I can give you the pain meds.” Dragon’s voice slams into me. I glance to the right and see him sitting there with a grin on his face.
“Fuck that. I don’t need it.” Her laughter takes me by surprise. I look to my left, and see Angel smiling at me.
“The bullet almost ripped your lung open. I’m pretty sure that hurts like hell.” Her smile is something I’d never knew I wanted. It’s bright and beautiful.
“I’m a man. I don’t need pain meds.” I feel the stick before I look back over at Dragon. He looks pretty pleased with himself.
“You fucker, I didn’t need that shit.” Shrugging, he tosses the needle into the trash before looking back at me.
“I’m sick of hearin’ you cry in your sleep, anyway.” Flipping him the finger, he laughs.
“Glad you’re awake, Devil. I’ll let the guys know you’re good.” He smiles at me before looking up at Angel.
“He gets out of hand–shoot him again.” Angel giggles before I look at her.
“You wouldn’t dare.” She smiles, shrugging her shoulders.
“I don’t know about that. You scared the shit out of me. I thought about it when they first brought you in here.” The playfulness in her eyes is perfect. That’s the way I always want to see her.
“You killed them all.” She’s not asking. She’s confirming it for me.
“Every last one of them. You never have to be afraid again.” Angel wipes a tear that slides down her cheek. I don’t like seeing it there.
“Come here.” Angel moves, scooting closer to me. I reach up and grab her with my good arm, pulling her head down to my shoulder.
“I don’t want to hurt you.” Her little mumbles make me laugh. I make her lay there anyway.
“There are a lot of things that I fucked up in the past, Angel. I won’t do that again. I won’t fuck up where you’re concerned. I want you to smile and be happy. I want to give you everything you deserve.” Angel sighs, snuggling into me.
“You are everything I want, Devil. I don’t think anything can make me as happy as you.” Turning my head, I press my lips to her hair.
“When this fuckin’ pain medicine wears off, I’m killin’ Dragon, and fuckin’ you senseless.” Angel laughs but I’m not playing.
“So, an Angel, loves the Devil.”
It’s ironic. The idea of loving someone.
My world was never about love. It was never about caring. Now that I look at Angel, that’s all I feel. Life has thrown me so many curve balls that I could hardly see straight, but the one thing that is constant is her. She’s breathtaking. She’s the reason my world revolves. In this life, you have to take what you can because you never know when it might be ripped away from you. When I almost lost Angel, I almost lost myself. I never knew that having someone by my side like that could make me feel the way I do. With Angel wrapped around my waist, we ride on the open road. The feeling is amazing. There is nothing to describe it.
Her fingers trail a fiery line under my shirt making me harder than I’ve ever been. The thought of fucking her on this bike on a side road has crossed my mind a few times.
Maybe it’s time to make that shit happen. But first, I need her to see something. I need her to know where I came from and what made me. Veering off the main road, I head to the one place that I swore I’d never go back to. The one place that took so much from me. Pulling to a stop in front of my old house, I cut the engine off before Angel releases me. Climbing off, I offer her my hand to help her. She pulls her helmet off, watching the house while I take mine off.
“This is it, huh?” Nodding my head, she looks at me. She doesn’t say anything. Turning back to the house, she sighs.
“Tell me about it.” Shivers roll over my body as I grab her hand. I walk us toward the grassy area out front before sitting, pulling her into my lap.
“There were days I’d hate to come home. I didn’t know what would happen once I got here.” My voice cracks. I know it did. This I harder than I thought it would be. Telling her is easy but being here with her, it kills me a little bit at a time. I know this is a turning point for us, though.
Angel needs to know all of me. Not just the parts that I give her over time, she needs it all.
“Fear was somethin’ I held onto when I was younger. Fear of what he’d do, if anyone found out. I went to school most days with bruises covered by my clothes. He never wanted to draw attention to himself. I always wondered why he didn’t just give me up and walk away. What the fuck did he get out of hurtin’ a kid, ya know?” She glances over, her eyes sparkling with tears. Her fingers intertwine with mine, pulling my hand into her lap.
“He was never a good man. From what I can remember, he was evil and ruthless. He was brutal in his attacks. He didn’t care that he left me crumbled on the floor. It was like, he thrived on it. He liked knowin’ that he’d broken me. So much blood and broken bones. I can’t imagine ever doin’ that to my own child. Thinkin’ about it seems so strange, though. I mean, shit, I do this to people all the fuckin’ time. I’d like to blame him for it, but I don’t think it’s all on him.” Her thumb runs over my knuckles in a soothing motion. She’s too damn perfect for me. Why is she even with me?
“Don’t look like that. I love you, Devil. All of you. There were so many things that you couldn’t control when you were just a kid. Now you have that power. You can control what you do. I know you don’t run out and kill people just because you have nothing better to do with your time. You’re not him.” Her words knock the breath out of me.
“I never want to be him. That’s the thing. I’m scared to death to end up just like the motherfucker that ruined me, Angel.” Shaking her head, she slides over, climbing into my lap. Her hands come up to cup my face. The softness of her filtering its way through me.
“You are nothing like him. You don’t hurt people that you are supposed to love. He did that to you. He made you think you were nothing, when it was him that was nothing. You have a heart inside of you that isn’t dead, Devil. The things you’ve done for me, the way you hold me, kiss me. You have more inside of you than you give yourself credit for. He beat you down for so long that you can’t find that in yourself. Let me help you find it. Let me show it to you.” Her lips caress mine. A slow deep burn is running through my body. She’s right. She’s always right. Our kiss deepens, her body rocking against me. So much depth that I haven’t discovered is inside this woman, and I want every last bit of it.
“Get your ass on that bike.” Nipping her bottom lip, I know I need to get us out of here.
***
We drove until I found a nice quiet pull-off.
Trees surround us on all sides. Angel feels tense behind me. She doesn’t know what the hell is going on and I like it that way. She’s about to find out what that little wiggle thing she did back at the house did to me. I climb off the bike, dragging her with me. My mouth claims hers as much as hers claims mine. Reaching up, I begin unbuttoning her jeans, pushing them down her legs.
“Get those the fuck off.” Pulling away from her mouth was a hell of its own. Angel quickly kicks her shoes off before looking around.
“Ain’t no one out here, so don’t even try it.” My words pull a smile from her lips. Fuck, I want those lips wrapped around me. I yank my jeans to the ground, kicking my boots off to the side. Angel watches me with nothing but her t-shirt on. My rock-hard dick is glistening with pre-cum as she licks her lips. Damn, she’s going to make me fucking cum before I’m ever inside of her.
“Tryin’ somethin’ new.” Winking at her, she watches me as I throw my leg over the bike. I lean back slightly on the handlebars while she watches me intently.
“Come ride my Harley.” Her eyes sparkle as she looks me over. She walks slowly before throwing her leg over the bike. I move quickly pulling her hips over mine. Sliding into her, I grunt.
>
“Shit!” The word rips out of me at the feel of being inside of her. Angel rests her hands on my shoulder, the fear in her eyes.
“I got us. You just do me.” Winking at her, she smiles as her body begins to rock. Being fucked on my own bike is something I’ve never tried before, but I’m sure as hell going to have to do it again.
And soon.
Angel pulls me all the way inside of her as her pussy grips me. The way she’s locking down around me, I won’t stand for it too long. My hands move to grip her hips, guiding her along as she takes what she wants from me.
“I can’t do this. I need deeper.” Grunting, I lift her off me, scooting her back.
I toss my jacket to the ground before pulling Angel off the bike. Just the sight of her glistening pussy sliding against the seat almost does me in. Fuck, I love that seat twice as much now. I lay her on the jacket quickly, needing to be inside of her as deep as I can get.
Spreading her thighs, I don’t give her a chance to say shit. I slam into her roughly, loving the way she screams my name when I do it. I raise her legs higher, needing to be deeper. Her feet damn near touch her head, but my dick is ruthless with what he wants. Picking up my pace, I make sure she will feel me the whole ride back home.
My balls slap against her ass, her face pinched in pleasure.
“Devil, Please!” Yeah, I like when she begs me for it. Something about her saying please, just tugs at me.
“Beg me, Angel,” Growling, I bring my hand to her nipple, pulling and plucking the orgasm from her body.
“Devil. Please!” There it is. Moving my hand back to her spread thighs, I pull them apart a little more. My hips get to work taking what they want from her. The pleasure that shoots through my body has my balls tightening up, ready to explode. A few more thrusts and I lose control of myself. Her pussy clenches me like it never wants to let go.
I fill her with everything I have inside of me. My balls ache by the time they shoot their load. I let Angel’s legs fall back down around me. Leaning down, I capture her lips with mine. Our kiss is soft and passionate. Her breathing is heavy, and her tits bounce with every breath she takes. It’s a beautiful sight to see your woman sprawled out under you, breathless.
