Murderous Twins

“She’s coming into the office. I saw the bedroom, well, all the rooms the last time she hired me.” Gary patted Steve’s thigh. “I’ll be fine. I’ve already ordered a cab to pick me up. I need to do this, Steve. I’m getting cabin fever, big time.”
“My poor man.” Steve hugged him gently. “I understand, I really do. Just don’t push yourself.”
“I won’t, I promise.”

And so, slowly but surely, things got back to normal in Steve and Gary’s lives. After the orthopedic doctor had given his permission for Gary to stop using the sling, a physical therapist the doctor sent him to gave him a series of exercises to do to completely restore motion in his shoulder. With Steve monitoring him as he did them, and Gary grumbling good naturedly—most of the time—that he was quite able to exercise without his husband’s help, he had regained full use of his arm and shoulder within two months.
Before that, though, they celebrated Gary getting rid of the sling by going out to dinner at one of their favorite restaurants.
When they arrived home, afterward, Gary grinned mischievously. “Now that I’m back to having two working arms, I think we should continue our celebration upstairs, in bed.”
“I’m not certain that’s a good idea,” Steve replied without blinking an eye. “No sling does not mean you’re back in top form.”
“Steven…” Gary rarely used Steve’s full name except to emphasize that he wasn’t happy with something he’d said or done.
Steve grinned. “Kidding. I think it’s a great idea.”
It wasn’t that they hadn’t had sex since Gary had been injured. They had, but very carefully, using hands only, or hand in Gary’s case.
They undressed as soon as they were in the bedroom, with Steve surreptitiously monitoring Gary’s reactions to make certain he wasn’t in any pain and trying to hide it from him.
Apparently he wasn’t as sneaky as he’d thought, because Gary pointed a finger as him, once they were on the bed, saying, “I’m fine, so stop worrying. I’m not stupid. I don’t want to re-aggravate my shoulder.” Steve reply was to grip Gary’s wrist so he could suck on his finger. That rated him a, “There are other parts of my body that might be more interesting, and interested.”
“Do tell.” Steve kissed him, sucking Gary’s tongue into his mouth. “Like this?” he asked long moments later when the kiss ended.
“That’s a start.”
Easing down, Steve went to work sucking on Gary’s nipples, eliciting deep moans from his husband. From there, of course, he proceeded on to his cock, which was already hard, lapping the leaking slit before drawing it into his mouth.
When Gary said, amidst deep moans, that he wanted to play, too, Steve reversed positions so that Gary could return the favor. The mere touch of Gary’s tongue circling the head of his cock made Steve wonder if he’d be able to hold out long enough to fuck his husband. He might not have, if Gary hadn’t stopped what he was doing, telling him to turn back around.
Steve did, getting the lube. “It might be better if you put your legs on my shoulders,” he said. “Less stress on your shoulder.”
Gary agreed, and did as he suggested. After using two fingers to stretch his entrance, Steve bent to kiss him. The kiss deepened until Steve broke it. “One second more and I’ll come before I can get this—” he gripped his cock, “—into you.”
“We wouldn’t want that to happen,” Gary replied with a look that was a mix of lasciviousness and intense need for what would come next.
Steve entered him carefully, watching him for any indication his shoulder was hurting. Once again, Gary said, “I’m fine, damn it. Or, I will be if you do more than stare at me.”
Shaking his head in amusement, Steve did, stroking Gary’s cock as he took them both to the peak of ecstasy, and over, with combined shouts of release.
When he could talk and move again, Steve pulled out, helped Gary lower his legs, and asked, “How are you doing?”
“I’ll live,” Gary replied, rubbing his shoulder.
“Damn it, why didn’t you…?”
Gary stopped him with a finger to his lips. “And miss out on our making love the best way possible? I don’t think so.”
“What am I going to do with you?” Steve growled, nipping Gary’s finger.
Gary grinned. “I can think of several things, but not until we get some sleep. That exhausted me more than it should have.”
Gathering Gary into his arms, Steve replied, “Not too surprising,” then kissed him softly. “You’re not Superman,” he said when the kiss ended.
“I’m not? Well fuck me,” Gary quipped.
Steve laughed. “Been there, done that. Now, we sleep so we can do it again.” Telling Gary to stay where he was, Steve went into the bathroom to wash up, and came back with a damp cloth. He smiled when he saw his husband was sound asleep, cleaned his chest, and then curled up beside him.
“I love you,” he whispered. “I didn’t realize how much until I almost lost you. Without you, my life would be empty. With you, I have everything I’ll ever want or need.”
Gary smiled, even though he didn’t wake up, and Steve knew that in some part of his mind, he’d heard him. After kissing him gently, he fell asleep as well, his arm protectively over Gary’s chest.
THE END
ABOUT EDWARD KENDRICK
Born and bred in Cleveland, I earned a degree in technical theater, later switched to costuming, and headed to NYC. Finally seeing the futility of trying to become rich and famous in the Big Apple, I joined VISTA—Volunteers in Service to America—ending up in Chicago for three years. Then it was on to Denver where I put down roots and worked as a costume designer until I retired in 2007.
I began writing a few years ago after joining an online fanfic group. Two friends and I then started a group for writers, where they could post any story they wished no matter the genre or content. Since then, for the last five years, I’ve been writing for publication—my first book came out in February of 2011. Most, but not all, of my work is M/M, either mildly erotic or purely ‘romantic.’ More often than not it involves a mystery or action/adventure, and is sometimes paranormal to boot.
