  —Judy Knight

JAMES R. KNIGHT was born in 1945 in Alma, Arkansas, site of one of the Barrow Gang’s shootouts. He is a 1967 graduate of Harding University, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and, for the past thirty years, has been a pilot for Federal Express. He is currently a DC-10 captain. In 1998 he published an article on the Barrow Gang’s killing of the local city marshal in his hometown. In 2000 he began work on this updated biography of Bonnie and Clyde, working with Dallas historian Jonathan Davis. Knight and his wife, Judy, have three children and two grandchildren, and live in Franklin, Tennessee.

JONATHAN DAVIS was born in Evansville, Indiana. Davis became acquainted with Marie Barrow in 1993 in connection with their mutual involvement on a documentary concerning Bonnie and Clyde. He worked with her on several projects over the last five and a half years of her life. Davis has been involved with different Barrowrelated productions, including several television programs and an off-Broadway play. He currently resides in Dallas, Texas.
