Fight

All three up of us are rocking our hips, each on the way to an orgasm, our bodies on fire. The moans fill my room and I feel warm cum shoot from Dane’s cock over his abs and dribbling down my hand right before I taste Carter’s salty cum in my mouth.
I moan at the sensation, it all pushing me over the edge again. It is almost too much but feels so damn good.
We collapse in a naked, sweaty, cum covered heap onto my bed and then… we all start cracking up.
I’m roaring with laughter. Our bodies shaking from it.
“We’re so fucked up,” Carter says.
I laugh and I for sure can’t argue with him as I cover my mouth with my hand. “Thank God my mom is working really late tonight. Can you imagine her walking in on this?”
Dane laughs, “I would totally let her join.”
I smack his bare chest, leaving a red mark. “That’s disgusting.”
We all start laughing again, uncontrollably.
Even knowing how messed up this was. Even knowing that we’re high.
I don’t regret it.
And I know I won’t ever.
That was so fucked up.
I can’t believe I let it happen. All this time trying not to use Shaw.
But tonight felt different somehow. I don’t know if it was because Dane was there too or if it was the weed, but it felt right.
Like something we all needed.
In those few moments, life felt a little less bleak.
We all shower, taking turns, and put our clothes back on, settling into Shaw’s tiny bed with Shaw on Dane’s lap.
“That was so fucked up,” I say, leaning my head back. My high has worn off, but I’m not really feeling bad about it.
Shaw laughs, shaking her head, a blush on her cheeks. “Have you guys ever done that before?”
Dane wraps his arms around her waist. “No. Well, almost…”
I close my eyes, groaning. “I forgot about that.”
I can feel Shaw’s gaze on me. “You never told me?”
“It wasn’t a big deal.” Dane says, “My dick wouldn’t cooperate.”
I remember how pissed off Lizzy was when he said he forgot he didn’t want to catch crabs and left. Such an asshole.
I knew why, but there was no way in hell I was going to out him to one of the biggest loudmouths in our class.
“It wouldn’t.” Shaw looks down at his lap, under her ass. And he thrusts upward playfully. “I think you’re the only chick my cock is down to play with.”
“I’m so honored,” she says with a laugh.
I thought I would be pissed off seeing Dane kiss her, but I wasn’t. It was strange, but fucking hot. Every single second of what we did together was mindblowingly hot. Seeing Shaw sprawled out naked for us was the biggest turn on of my life.
My hand drifts over her forearm and I smile when I see the goosebumps form. “You okay?”
She bites her bottom lip, eyeing me with fierce determination. “More than okay. Holy shit you guys know how to give a girl a good time.”
We all laugh at that and I shake my head, laying it back against the headboard. “I’m never getting high with you two again.”
“Fuck that.” I can hear Dane’s smile. “I say we should always get high.”
“It was some good shit you brought,” I say, my eyelids feeling heavy.
“I love you guys,” Shaw says wistfully.
“Oh fuck, Shaw’s gone and fallen in love with us, Carter.”
I chuckle, “Such a fucking girl.”
She slaps us both playfully, me across the chest and Dane on his thigh. “Assholes.”
“You love us,” Dane growls.
“I do,” she agrees.
We love her too.
So fucking much.
School has started again. Our last semester of high school. I haven’t seen Dane or Carter much, but I can barely look either of them in the eye.
I can’t believe they’ve both seen me naked.
They’ve both seen me come.
I still don’t regret it, but it’s a little awkward.
I’m heading to my first class after lunch when Dane grabs my arm. “Hey, Shaw.”
I smile but avoid his eyes directly. “Hey, what’s up?”
He ducks down to look at my eyes, laughing. “Don’t you dare hide from me.”
I tuck my hair behind my ear. “I’m not.” But I still don’t look at him directly.
Other students are buzzing all around, trying not to be late for class, but Dane couldn’t care less. He holds onto my shoulders. “Don’t act all weird just because I’ve seen your pretty pink pussy and fantastic tits.”
I gasp and my eyes widen in shock as they finally meet his. “Oh my God. Stop.”
He laughs and it’s infectious. “We didn’t do anything wrong.”
I shrug, the blush creeping up my neck. “I know. It’s still a little weird.”
He shakes his head. “Nah. It’s not with us. We do what we want.” He drops his hands. “Besides, it was the only way he was ever going to make a move.”
I smack his shoulder. “I knew you did that for me.”
And part of me did think that. That he was just guiding us. Some kind of fucked up, twisted guardian angel. Or devil.
“Hey now. I got off too. Don’t make me into the saint that I’m definitely not.”
I laugh at that. “Thank you.”
He laughs and pulls me to his side with one strong arm. “And maybe I love weddings and wanted to get this show on the road.”
I push him away, laughing. “Oh my God, shut up.” He hugs me back to him. “I’m going to be late.”
“Okay, hold on. I just wanted to ask if you’ve applied to State yet.”
Now I feel a sickening feeling in my gut as I shake my head, “No.”
“Why the hell not?”
“The application fee alone is a hundred dollars, Dane. It’s a total waste.”
“Who the fuck says that?” His brow is crinkled now as he releases me and stands right in front of me.
“There’s no point. Like you said, college is for the rich. I can’t even afford the application fee.”
“I also said I was going to get you there.” He shoves his hand in his pocket and pulls out several bills. “Apply to any you want to.”
I shake my head, “No.”
He pushes it toward me. “Take. It.”
“It’s a waste. I can’t afford college.”
He sighs and is oddly serious. “Pride is great, Shaw. It really is, but too much and you’ll keep yourself from being truly amazing. I want you to have all the things you dream of.” He places the money in my palm and clenches our hands closed, wrapping mine around the cash. “Now take it.”
“I hate you.” I say it with a smile.
His lips smack against mine in a quick kiss. “No, you don’t.”
No, I don’t.
He takes off, with a confident stride and I smile, holding the money in my hand, but I’m still a little mad at him.
I don’t want to hope.
“Fuck, when the hell is the snow going away?” I laugh as Dane throws a mini pissy fit, looking out the window of the diner.
“It’s still February. It could snow in April.” I shrug out of my jacket, grateful the heat in the diner seems to be working.
“It’s the ass end of February and I’m over this shit. I’m ready to retire. I’m thinking Florida.”
I roll my eyes and stretch my arms over the cracked red leather of the booth we’re sitting in. “Really? Florida?”
He chuckles and messes with the sugar packets and the little containers of jam, stacking them up. The guy cannot sit still.
“You okay?”
He looks up from his little project and gives me the cocky grin I’m used to. “I’m fine.”
“What are you two doing here?” Our eyes both lift to look at Shaw standing at our booth with one hand on her hip. She’s wearing the cheesy as fuck teal waitress uni
form I thought was reserved for the movies. It zips up from the waist and the skirt is pretty fucking short, but Shaw wears it well.
“We came to recue you,” Dane smirks.
She’s holding a pot of coffee and although she’s undeniably gorgeous, she looks tired as hell. Her long brown hair is down and she isn’t wearing any makeup today. “It’s Saturday. You guys couldn’t find anything to do?”
“I’m going to the gym after,” I say and nod toward Dane, “And I think he’s heading to do some shady shit.”
Dane just laughs it off, but he seems tense today. Something is off. “Yup, but we had to fuel up first.”
“You want coffee?” We both nod and she fills the white mugs already at the table with the black sludge. “Anything else?”
“Why don’t you sit down with us and eat.” Dane’s gaze drags over her body. “You’re looking too fucking skinny.”
She rolls her eyes and I know she’s tired of us taking care of her. “I’m not skinny asshole.”
“If it weren’t for those glorious tits, you wouldn’t have any fat on you, Shaw. There’s zero cushion for the…”
She holds her hand up, trying to silence him. “Stop it. There has been no pushin’.” She says it with a laugh though.
Dane smirks and I know he’s about to say something dickish. “Oh that’s why we came to rescue you. Fatten you up so you can take us both.”
I shake my head at him, but even I can’t stop the laugh at his behavior. “Shut up, fucker.”
She laughs easily. “Shelly had a doctor’s appointment and it’s just me. No break.”
Dane frowns now. “They can’t do that shit. Where’s that geeky, scrawny motherfucker? I’ll have a talk with him.”
Shaw looks around nervously and then looks back at us. “Don’t you dare. You know I need this job. Now can I get you guys anything else?”
“Pie.” Dane stares directly at her, not cracking a smile. “Cherry pie. It’s by far my favorite.”
I snort and Shaw discreetly flips him off as she walks to the kitchen.
“You have to knock that shit off.”
He shrugs his shoulders. “You don’t think she would be down?”
I try really hard not to think about New Year’s Eve. It doesn’t work though. That night haunts all my dreams, day and night. Picturing Shaw naked has become my favorite pastime. “I think it would be really fucked up.”
He shrugs, “I think you should just fucking go for it, man.”
I don’t like serious Dane. Okay…that’s a lie. I like pretty much everything about him and Shaw, but when Dane is serious, he’s blunt and he has a way of getting under my skin. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
He scoffs, taking a drink of the coffee and grimacing as he puts it back down on the table. Yeah, the coffee here is as bad as the food. “Stop. Okay. We’re going to graduate soon. You’ve been in love with Shaw since kindergarten. Fucking wife that girl already.”
I laugh at that because he must be joking. “Marry her? Are you fucking crazy?” I look toward the kitchen, seeing Shaw through the window between the main counter and the kitchen. I turn back to Dane. “I’m not exactly husband material.”
“That’s bullshit. You protect Shaw with everything you have.”
“So do you. You marry her.”
He laughs. “Her tits are pretty, and I did not mind kissing them, but I need dick. I’m just the one you call in when you need some extra spice.”
I roll my eyes. “You know I don’t believe in any of that shit.”
“What? Love?” He seems amused.
“Yeah.” I swallow tightly and meet his eyes. “I don’t. She loves all that stuff. The fantasy of love. I don’t believe in it.”
He shrugs his shoulders. “She believes in you and love. She would be enough.”
I wouldn’t be.
“I hate this shit. Make a joke or something.” I take a drink of the coffee and I’m sure I make the same face he did.
“I think I’m all out.” He looks up at the ceiling pretending to think.
“Pretty sure that will never happen.”
We laugh and Shaw brings the pie out for us before darting to the next table. He watches her intently saying, “She does deserve so much better than all this.”
I agree. “She’ll get out.”
His eyes meet mine, “Hell yeah she will.”
“You okay?” He seems off still and I don’t like it. There’s something he’s not saying.
“Yeah, I just…um…” He takes a bite of the pie and then places the fork on the plate. “I have to go away for a few days.”
I nod absently as I chew a bite. “Okay.”
“Like actually away. Not around. I have to get out of town for a few days and I need you to check in on my brothers.”
I lean forward in the booth, examining his face. “Get out of town? As in?”
“As in, I need to lay low. And I’ll be fine, but my dad has really, really gotten worse. I need you to check in on my brothers.”
“If you’re in trouble…”
“I’m not. I’m fine.” His hands grasp the sides of my head, reaching over the table. “I need you to look after them until I get back.”
There’s no hint of joking, it’s all serious and it sends a chill through me. “Okay. Of course, I will, but if you need help, I’ll do whatever I can.”
He shakes his head adamantly and releases me. “No. I’m fine. I just need you to watch them. Please.”
“Of course.” I nod my head and then he smiles, but I see something I never thought I would see in Dane’s eyes.
Fear.
“I gotta go.” Shaw lifts her head from my shoulder and looks into my eyes. We came back to her place after school today and she actually doesn’t work tonight.
She looks surprised. “What? Why?”
Dane has been gone for six days. Not two or three and we’re both on edge. She wasn’t thrilled when he wasn’t with me on Monday to pick her up and I told her what he said at the diner.
But I have to believe that he can take care of himself. I mean, it’s Dane.
“I need to go check on the boys.”
“Oh.” She bounces up off her bed, tugging her black hoodie on. “I’ll go with you.”
“You don’t have to.” Dane wasn’t kidding about his dad. I’ve checked on his brothers every day since he left, a couple of times. The house is always really messy, with beer cans fucking everywhere. He’s always there, but not always conscious.
Cooper, the oldest just turned eight, but the kid already knows how to feed himself and his little brother. Still I bring them food most of the time.
“I want to.”
I don’t argue and we go out to my car before going through a fast food drive thru, then heading to Dane’s. I get out first, but Shaw is following me close. We’re joking around and laughing, but it all stops.
The world fucking stops when we walk up the sidewalk toward the house and I drop the bags of food to the ground as Shaw simultaneously shrieks so loud my ears feel like they’re going to bleed.
“No!” She runs to Dane, who’s laying crumpled up in front of the house.
Fuck. No. Please no.
I walk up as she drops to her knees by him, her hands all over him and coming back soaked in blood.
I can’t look at him. And I can’t look away.
His eyes are open and vacant.
He’s beat to hell and there’s blood everywhere.
Shaw’s body drops on top of him, trying to get him to wake up, but he’s not going to.
Dane is dead.
“Shaw, get up.” My voice croaks, but she’s screaming and sobbing hysterically huddled to him. I pull out my cellphone and call to report it. “I have to go inside and check on the boys.” I’m in a fog and she doesn’t acknowledge me.
I make my way inside the house and see the boys are playing in the living room. I don’t see their dad anywhere.
“Ar
e you guys okay?”
They barely look at me, but Cooper answers, “Yeah.”
“Stay inside okay. No matter what you hear or see.”
They both nod and I leave, going back to Shaw. She’s still on top of Dane’s body.
I’m numb.
Every part of me is numb and I can’t seem to move as I stand there. The cop cars and ambulance pull up. It’s pure chaos, trying to keep the neighbors back as they try to get a peek at what is going on.
But I just stand there, everything in slow motion.
There’s no, ‘maybe it’s not him’ in my mind.
I know it is.
There’s no, ‘maybe he’s not dead’.
I know he is.
One of the officers bends down and puts his meaty hand on Shaw’s back, “Ms., you need to move.”
That snaps me back briefly. “Don’t touch her,” I grit out through clenched teeth.
The officer looks back at me. “We need access to the body.”
The body.
That’s all Dane is now.
A cold body.
I force my feet to move and kneel down next to Shaw, trying not to look at Dane. “Shaw, come on.”
She shakes her head, sobbing. Her head on his chest. “No.”
“He’s gone, Shaw. Come on.” I take her arm and sling it over my shoulder. “You have to let him go before they try to make you move and I end up in jail.”
I pull her away, standing up and supporting her weight with her small arm over my shoulder. “I don’t want to leave him.”
“It’s not him, Shaw. He’s gone.” I say it again trying to cement it for us both.
I walk her away from the scene and then make her face me, cupping her face in both my hands. “Shaw, they’re going to ask you questions. You know nothing.”
Her blue eyes gape at me now, in horror. “What? I’m not protecting the lowlifes that did this.”
“We don’t know who did this.”
She scowls at me. “Bullshit. We know who he works for. We know that they did this.”
I shake my head, holding hers firmly. “No. We don’t. And even if we did, we keep our mouths shut. You. Know. Nothing.”
I have to get this across to her. I know she’s in shock, but the men Dane worked for are dangerous. If they think for a moment that we said a word leading the cops to them, they’ll kill us and probably Shaw’s mom with no hesitation. “Fuck them.”
