"Are you prepared to stake your life to fight for the Inheritance of the Blood Progenitor, O...human?"

A voice of majesty had begun with resoundingly powerful words, but they finished in a questioning tone as the peering gaze focused on Noah. A brief silence came to be before the giant being made of what now looked like shining crystallized blood straightened up and continued.

"This inheritance is meant for the most powerful beings of the Vampyre Race, are you sure you are willing to stake your life on it, human?"

Its rumbling voice echoed from all over the miles long coliseum as Noah shouted back without a pause.

  "I am willing!"

It was a voice full of confidence for whatever this Inheritance would throw at him, this confidence coming from the fact that he was holding on to the Dagger of Time very closely and using [Insight], also ready to take any drastic action if it was required of him to do so.

"...Good. The test to determine your worthiness will be as such."

The giant waved his hands as a red light descended towards Noah, a red runic marking being inlaid on his forehead as a signal came off of his body and was sent towards the bloody giant.

"The test will be a measure of your intellect, skill, and battle prowess as you face increasingly difficult opponents."

At these words, one of many pools of blood in the extremely wide coliseum began trembling as figures began rising from it, Noah observing the shapes of exactly one hundred humanoid bats with razor sharp claws and teeth, with wide wings erupting from their backs.

"Since you are at the Saint Realm, the first level will start with you battling 100 beings at the same rank."

  "..."

Noah squinted his eyes at the 100 figures letting out power at the peak of the Saint Realm, turning his head towards the bloody giant in a questioning tone as these did not seem to be fair rules in any way for a being at the Saint Realm. The giant let out a slight cough as it continued.

"Per Master's wishes, if a being other than a Vampyre was to be let into the Inheritance Grounds, the difficulty would be increased by a factor of 10. Master was fair to all races, but he reserved the tremendous Inheritance in these Grounds to be received by the future progeny of his children. Him even allowing the possibility of other races to fight for the inheritance is a show of his great character."

Noah shook his head at the praise of this unknown Ancestor that set up these Inheritance Grounds, his thoughts being affirmed as no normal Saint Realm being would be given the task of fighting 100 beings of the same rank as them, no matter how great their power was. This meant that the first level of this Inheritance normally required a Vampyre to battle only 10 other beings of the same rank!

Noah still had a few questions as he looked towards the bloody giant and asked.

"How many levels are there, and what are the techniques awarded for passing them?"

When he discussed with the Vampyre King prior to entering the bloody portal that led to this Ancient Blood World, he was told that the techniques he was seeking would be found in the Inheritance located here, and that it would be up to his strength exactly how many techniques he would be able to get his hands on!

The giant made of blood turned his head to the side at the calm expression of this human about to face a powerful force of 100 beings at the same rank as it replied.

"There are six levels in total, with very few being able to pass even the third level in the last 1000 years. For a human such as you, the reward of passing the first level is gaining the bloodline of a normal Vampyre, with the techniques that go along with it. Passing the second level grants you the bloodline of an Elite Vampyre. Passing the Third level will give you the refined bloodline of a Pureblood Vampyre, along with the powerful techniques that come with it."

Noah's eyes shone at the mention of these rewards, hearing the talk of Bloodlines and techniques that made him itching to get started, even if the task ahead of him seemed improbable for any other beings to complete.

The major thought that occupied his brain right now was that if the Bloodline of a Pureblood Vampyres was the reward for the third level of this inheritance, just what tremendous rewards were waiting at the fourth, fifth, or even the spectacular 6th level?

These thoughts propelled him forward as he yelled out.

  "Good, let's start!"

The huge giant that this Inheritance Ground knew as the Guardian of Blood looked closely at this human as the huge weapon it was holding in one hand raised before smashing towards the ground, acting as the initiation of the battle and letting loose 100 Saint Realm Blood Beasts towards Noah.

  RUMBLE!

The force was astonishing to say the least, with the auras of these Blood Beasts actually roaring at the peak of the Saint Realm as they spread out and began surrounding Noah.

He let out a dazzling smile at the rushing of these monsters, multiple defensive skills layering his body as he wanted to test out the skills he held that were extremely powerful, but he didn't use too frequently as he continued to get more and more ridiculous skills.

Spears, swords, and many other forms of weapons made up of blood began to be thrown in his direction from the encircled force of 100 Blood Beasts as he dodged them with ease.

  BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

They struck the areas behind him as the tremendous speed provided by [Child of Space] and other speed enhancing abilities made the enemies rushing towards him feel like they were in slow motion.

  SCREECH!

Uncomfortable screeches were let out by the Blood Beasts as none of their attacks hit, choosing to go in with brute force as they rushed towards Noah with outstretched claws.

Noah stood in place as his smile only became wider, waiting for more of these monsters to get close to him as he weaved in and out of their attacks. The moment he observed that the 100 monsters were all in a circular formation around him, he finally cast a skill as he used [Gluttony Manifestation], a subset ability of the enhanced Sin of Gluttony after the creation of the <>.

[Gluttony Manifestation]:: The user can apply the effect of [Devouring] anywhere within 5 meters of them, there's no need to actively eat them.

  VOOM!

Complete darkness erupted from him in a circular formation as it covered more than 20 Blood Beasts, the darkness being recalled a second after as the area it was just in was left eerily empty!

  ".."

The Guardian of Blood watched with surprised eyes as more than 20 Beasts at the Saint Realm were gone in an instant!

  FLASH!

Noah wasn't done as he teleported in and out of the mass of Blood Beasts around him, covering an area of 5 meters each time to maximize the range of [Gluttony Manifestation] as he repeatedly cast the skill 4 more times.

  Quick.

  Fast.

  Easy.

Noah came to a stop in the air as he saw half cut up bodies, legs or wings that were outside of the range of [Gluttony Manifestation] fall to the ground, not a single Blood Beast remaining around him as he stood victoriously in the bloody skies!

The only thoughts passing through Noah's mind was the reminder of the extreme usefulness of many of his unused skills as the Guardian of Blood looked forth with a face of stupor.

  Chapter 306 - Ridiculous

The first level of the Inheritance of the Blood Progenitor was passed in less than a minute!

The most shocking thing about this was the fact that this was the difficulty that was raised by a factor of 10. The Guardian of Blood observed the human in the middle of the wide Coliseum as he wondered whether the Inheritance Ground had misjudged their level of power, but confirmed the being was at the Saint Realm as a weak red light shone throughout the Inheritance Grounds, signifying the clearing of the first level.

The resounding voice of the Guardian of Blood resounded soon after.

"The first level has been cleared, granting you the rewards of the Bloodline of a Normal Vampyre, along with a set of skills that goes with it. Do you wis
h to claim these rewards and relinquish the remainder of the trial, or do you wish to rest and then continue?"

Less than a millisecond passed before a calm reply came from the floating Noah.

  "Continue."

"I will remind you that the rewards of the first level will not be made possible to you if you choose to move forward and fail at the second level, as failure will result in death!"

A warning came from the mouth of the Guardian of Blood as Noah repeated once again with a firm tone.

"No need for rest, I will continue!"

  RUMBLE!

A red light shined out as essence converged, two more lakes of blood trembling as numerous figures began to rise from them. Noah observed with shining eyes as he counted a number of similarly shaped Blood Beasts rise up, until this number reached 200!

The second level...was twice as difficult as the first one, the number of Blood Beasts simply being duplicated!

Noah smiled at the craziness of this Inheritance that would most likely not be passed by anyone that wasn't a Vampyre with this crazy upgraded level of difficulty as he looked at the gains from defeating the first 100 Blood Beasts. When he devoured all of them, similar to the Infernals that only gifted Noah with their unique energies in the form of Skill Points, he only obtained the memories of the Blood Beasts as no [Skill Books] or [Cores] were received from their defeat.

The cause either lied from the fact that they were coagulations of blood and weren't considered to have souls or origins, but they gave absolutely nothing compared to the Infernals that gifted him with the powerful Skill Points as a reward.

He didn't mind this though, as the reward of a Bloodline and techniques he would receive from taking them down was more than enough!

  "Come!"

He roared out as a cold light shone in his eyes, his figure flashing towards the 200 Blood Beasts that had grouped together with tight defenses as they began moving the mana in the surroundings to cast long range attacks...or they tried to, but found that they couldn't activate any abilities!

Confusion permeated in the coagulations of blood as no attacks came out from them, the Guardian of Blood once again being stumped at what was going on as Noah's laugh resounded. This was simply caused by another ability from the Sins under <>. This time, it was a subset skill from the Sin of Envy, [I'm the Absolute Best]!

[I'm the Absolute Best] - Opponents are not allowed to use skills known by the user, when fighting the user. Any Unique, Ultimate, or Absolute Skills holding a lower level of power than <> are negated and unable to activate.

The moment that Noah absorbed the first 100 Blood Beasts and perused through the memories, the abilities they could use were all known to him, and thus they could no longer activate those skills when they faced him!

The force of 200 strong Saint Realm beings became disordered at this junction, their bodies instead moving for close combat as they rushed towards Noah, who only greeted them with a resplendence of shining condensed stars as he cast [White Dwarf Throw] with his body glowing from the intense aura of the Sin of Pride.

  BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Resounding explosions erupted as the Blood Beasts had their defenses ruptured by the force of a condensed white dwarf star, the force of 200 strong being taken down in an extremely terrifying manner as the Guardian of Blood looked on with a stupefied expression once again.

It admitted the strength of this human after the first level, but thought that he would at least have exhausted his strength after those deadly attacks and struggle slightly more on the second level...but he was going through enemies at the same level as himself without any issues yet again, and this time, the Blood Beasts weren't even throwing out attacks!

The Guardian of Blood wondered if the mechanisms of the Inheritance Ground had gotten too old and were interfered with as he confirmed that everything was working normally, watching stupefaction as 200 Blood Beasts were wiped away in the blink of an eye.

"...The second level has been cleared, granting you the rewards of the Bloodline of an Elite Vampyre, along with a set of skills that goes with it. Do you wish to claim-"

  "I will continue!"

A jovial voice that was full of expectations erupted from Noah as he felt like he had found something that very few would come across, and he would be able to take advantage of it in a way that only he would be able to!

His sights were already set on the highest rewards at the 5th or 6th level, even gaining the Bloodline of a Pureblood Vampyre on passing the 3rd level being something small in his eyes!

A brighter red light shone throughout the expansive Coliseum as the third level for the Inheritance of the Blood Progenitor began, this time a force of 400 Blood Beasts at the Saint Realm rising up from the lakes of blood as their reddened eyes focused on Noah.

Normally, a genius Vampyre at the Saint Rank would have faced 20 Blood Beasts of the same realm at the second level, and 40 on the third level to prove their battle prowess and intelligence.

But the difficulty was much higher for Noah… although the number did not matter as he was always faster than them, and they could not even use their full abilities against him!

What occurred next was just plain ridiculousness as the Guardian of Blood watched the unbelievable sight of one man weaving in and out of a crowd of swarming Blood Beasts at the same level as him, stupendous attacks being thrown around until not too long later, only silence reigned.

  "..."

The Guardian of Blood wondered, was the 10x difficulty set by his master not enough to even make this human sweat? Had humans grown more powerful to raise such geniuses over the past millennia? Worries began to pile up as at this rate, it seemed like this human might actually obtain the inheritance only meant for the noblest of Vampyres!

The giant made of crystallized blood watched on as the forces of the Blood Beasts continued to dwindle until yet again, only a single man remained floating in the bloody skies.

A hardened expression entered the face of the Guardian of Blood as it smashed down the large spear it was holding once again, a bright red light shining out that signified the clearance of the 3rd level, and brought out the monsters for the 4th level.

This time, it was only 10 Blood Beasts that were twice as large as the ones Noah had seen before. It was a small number, but each of these Blood Beasts let out a powerful aura of strength at the Void Realm!

The fourth level of this Inheritance of the Blood Progenitor was to fight 10 beings that were an entire rank higher than the challenger, something that would normally be an impossibility!

The concept of a genius being able to fight a single being of higher rank than them was already a shocking thing to hear about, but going against 10 would only be a joke out of people's wildest dreams.

Noah looked at the appearance of these 10 Void Rank Blood Beasts as he saw the Guardian of Blood had not even bothered to ask him if he would continue or not, a refreshing smile coming on his face as he asked.

"What are the rewards of clearing the fourth and fifth level?"

  ".."

The Guardian of Blood seemed muted for a second before he replied.

"Clearing the Fourth level gives you the Bloodline of a Royal Vampyre, and clearing the 5th level gives you the access to the...Absolute Techniques that were used by the Progenitor himself!"

The Guardian of Blood spoke out about the rewards it never thought this human would even come close to obtaining, its observation landing on the peculiar being that held a confident smile while looking at the 10 Void Rank opponents.

Just what being had entered his Master's Inheritance Grounds?

Chapter 307 - Leave while you still have your life!

The Guardian of Blood looked forth at the stalemate between the human and the coagulations of blood that reached the Void Realm. It wanted to closely observe this human to see just exactly what ability allowed it to throw out such tremendous attacks.

When faced with 10 beings that
were a rank higher than him, how would he handle it?

A glorious red light shone as it signified the beginning of the 4th level, the Guardian of Blood watching closely how this fight would unfold so it could learn more about this new being that might be adding a major power to the ranks of Vampyres soon.

The Guardian of Blood was prepared to watch a lengthy fight that would show more of this human's wit and intelligence when it came to facing multiple enemies at a higher level, as he would not be able to rely on the spectacular firepower of his skills to break through the defenses of being a realm above him.

'So, how exactly will you handle a force of-"

  ZIIING!

A stupendous burst of destructive essence erupted as the Guardian of Blood watched with blank eyes as an aurora of resplendent lights erupted from the human and cut across the cl.u.s.tered Void Realm Blood Beasts, heaving injuring all of them and even directly killing two as their heads burst open from the tremendously destructive energies of...Aether?

Yes! It was Aether! The Guardian of Blood confirmed his thoughts as he was finally somewhat convinced why this human held such battle power. He had actually comprehended the power of one of the abstruse elements, Aether!

The Guardian observed the remaining injured Blood Beasts as he thought to himself.

'Aether is extremely energy-consuming, with that one blast most likely taking the remainder of his energy reserves as he did not even rest while passing through the first three levels. Do you now plan to use your speed to run as your energy recov-"

  ZIING! ZING! ZING!

  "..."

Ridiculousness unfolded as the Guardian of Blood blinked his eyes to make sure that he had just seen another three extremely destructive Aether Rays erupt from the body of the small human like nothing and shred apart whatever remaining defenses the Void Realm Blood Beasts held.

The Guardian was stupefied, but one must know that when Noah first used the ability of [Sever], it was against an Aberration that was on the verge of ascending to the Second Realm of Hell, with its realm already about to enter the Soul Forging stage, and even it was injured with its breakthrough being brought to a stop as it ultimately faced death at the hands of the War Princess, Athena!
