Something in the center of my chest tightened, then released. “You have no idea how much that means to me.”
She turned around again to look back at me. “Your tub is gigantic. Certainly enough room for two, don’t you think?”
“I’m supposed to be pampering you,” I said, but found I was already standing to take off my pants.
I slipped into the tub, moving Alice so that I could spoon her, wrapping my arms around her middle. Nibbling on her shoulder, I said, “I have to confess, I’m really surprised at how helpful that therapist was.”
Alice turned around to face me. “You know, we are very different people, and different ages. I’ve never had a long-term relationship. Have you?”
“No.”
“It might not hurt to keep Gretchen’s number. Maybe go see her once a year. People take their cars in for a tuneup. Let’s make sure our relationship stays healthy.”
“I love how smart you are,” I murmured, twisting her lips to mine.
I had intended to simply bathe Alice, so that she would feel completely pampered. But as she straddled me, taking my erection in her soft little hand, it seemed that she needed to be cared for in an even more intimate way.

I’d never been so bold in my life, but Taylor loved it. And I loved him.
Somehow, knowing that we had the deepest emotional connection of my life gave me the courage to straddle him, taking his stiff shaft in both hands. Staring directly into his gorgeous eyes, I pumped him several times, then rose up to brush the tip against my crease.
Even through the water, I could feel that I was soaked. It was a different sort of slipperiness as we moved against each other in the bubbles.
Taylor’s huge hands cupped my breasts, making both of us moan. My blood felt overheated, over pressurized, as the lust took over.
As his thumbs flicked over my nipples, I hovered over him, teasing us both as I slid the head back and forth between my inner lips.
“I’m so glad I got talked into doing that stupid show,” he growled, squeezing my breasts hard, then lowering his hands to my hips.
Placing my hands on his chest, I slowly sank down as his length filled me.
“You feel so perfect around me,” Taylor choked, gripping me hard so I didn’t move too fast. I adored that he was still being a bit overprotective.
His raspy exhale as I sank down sent shudders through us both. His eyes closed for a second, as he pulled my lips to his. His mouth felt desperate and wild against mine, the steamy water adding another dimension to our heat.
His thighs flexed, propelling his length deeper as I moaned into his lips. I could barely breathe, my lungs needing more oxygen to deal with my racing heart. Leaning back, I arched my spine, gripping the edges of the tub as I lost myself in our rhythm.
“Jesus, baby,” he growled. “I can’t believe how sexy you are.”
I squealed as his thumb found my clit, his gentle rubbing driving me quickly to the edge. Bobbing up and down on his length, the pressure inside me was incredible.
Realizing I was about to come any second, I shifted forward again, gripping the back of Taylor’s neck as I rode him faster.
As his thumb flicked faster against me, I could feel his cock swelling even more. Taylor kissed me hard enough to bruise my lips as we both moaned, squirming and bouncing against each other.
Gripping the back of his neck harder to tell him I was right there, I couldn’t wait to feel him explode inside me. My climax spilled over my entire body at once, leaving me twitching and breathless as I cried out against his lips.
My pussy clenched his shaft hard as I ground down against him. Just as I was able to see straight again, Taylor lifted me in the air, grunting as he grabbed the washcloth from the edge of the tub to catch his release.
“I’m so sorry, baby. I’m an asshole.”
“Oh my God,” I muttered, “I didn’t think.”
His saucy smirk was adorable. “I love that you couldn’t control yourself around me. But we’re going to the doctor to get you on birth control right away.”
“Absolutely. For what it’s worth, it’s a relatively safe time in my cycle.”
“Plenty of time for babies after we’ve lived together at least a few months,” he said, kissing along my neck until I melted in his arms.
We cuddled for another ten minutes or so, then we both wrapped up in fluffy robes to go downstairs for some food.
It was time to be truly honest with myself. I loved that Taylor was slightly over protective. A bit commanding.
Now that I truly believed we were in it for the long-haul, and building a real partnership, I could relax. I knew that he would listen to me in the end, and that made his stern pushiness adorable instead of claustrophobic.
For the first time in my life, I genuinely knew in my bones that everything was going to be fine.
After a makeshift dinner of leftovers, with a dessert of corn chips and guacamole, we crawled into bed to stretch out and snuggle some more.
“Which side of the bed do you prefer?” Taylor asked. “Last night you took the left, but I forgot to ask.”
“I’ve never slept in a bed big enough to have two sides,” I laughed.
“Well, do you like waking up with the sun in your face, or would you rather be closer to the washroom? I really don’t have a preference.”
I love that he was so set in his ways about some things, but was so eager to hear every detail about me and willing to adjust. “How about I sleep on the window side for a week, then we’ll switch?”
He switched sides by carefully rolling over me like a steamroller, making us both laugh. Then he dug into the drawer of the bedside table, pulling out some brochures.
“Whenever you get a minute, you can choose the color for your new car,” he said with a grin. “Any color you like, as long as it doesn’t induce highway racing, or blend with the concrete.”
“I still don’t know whether I can accept a car as a gift,” I said, shaking my head.
“Oh no, it’s not for you,” he said, wrapping an arm around me. “It’s purely so that I know you’re safe. I don’t want you taking the bus, or being stranded somewhere. Knowing that you have a reliable car is purely for my own benefit.”
Although his logic was a bit faulty, I decided to let it slide for a moment. Then I looked at the other brochure and gasped. “It’s…what’s this for?”
Taylor simply shrugged while I stared at the glossy brochure of diamond ring styles.
“I don’t know a damn thing about jewelry. You’re going to have to figure out what you want. Take a week or two, then we’ll go get your finger sized and everything so it’s perfect.”
“I don’t…I mean, I can’t–”
Taylor silenced me with a long, slow kiss, then smiled gently. “Sugar, I think in terms of security, remember? I anticipate the moves of bad men. I want a great big ring on your finger so that nobody could possibly think that you were available. But mostly, I want both of us to look down at your hand and think about us being a couple as often as possible.”
“I want that too.”
He grinned almost wickedly. “I love knowing that you’re going to say yes.”
“If you keep me in the loop and always ask the right questions, sure.”
As his strong arm wrapped around me and cuddled my body against him, I felt utterly content. My entire life had changed in the span of a few days. A future husband, a safe home, and the security of knowing I had someone to rely on.
“Sweet dreams, sugar,” Taylor murmured with his lips against my hair.
“You’re the dream I didn’t even know I had,” I whispered, leaning forward to kiss the circle tattoo on his chest.
“Mmm,” he murmured as he rocked me for a moment, then grew still.
The comfort in being quiet with someone, and knowing that he was sharing everything important with me, made a single tear slip from my eye.
/> For the first time, I had nothing at all to be anxious about. I didn’t even care if we won the contest. I’d won an incredible man, and a wonderful new life.

* Three Weeks Later *
I’d never been in a business meeting in my entire life. Countless job interviews, and meetings with professors, but never an occasion where real money was on the line.
The studio’s makeshift meeting room was at a round table made from an old clothing store sign that had been a set piece in a game show years ago. The dim lighting and rickety chairs didn’t make this meeting feel very official, but it was the first time Taylor had been open with the fact that we were a real couple.
Even as we filmed the finale for Lights, Camera, Lies, we made it seem like we were just a random team who got along well together. Now that I was seated at the table with his family, I felt like our relationship was official.
I stayed silent as Taylor went over the details from the lawyers. Since he was the oldest of the three cousins, he had sort of taken charge.
Darlene had done some research, and there was no specifically educational studio space in the city. Television stations were having their budgets slashed, as tiny online spaces were popping up. There was no medium sized studio for people who needed a larger space on a small budget.
“So if Darlene and Darrell run some educational programming in studio A,” Taylor was saying, “Gary could coordinate with local content providers, and rent out studios B and C to them.”
“And what are you going to do?” Gary asked.
Taylor chuckled. “I’m going to kick in the cash to have the entire building cleaned and upgraded.”
“Plus,” I said softly, “Taylor and I are going to donate our winnings from the show to the development of some local children’s educational programming. There are some university students with incredible ideas who are already putting together pitches.”
Gary nodded. “So we’ll be seeing some income fairly quickly, as they spread the word. That’s good.”
“I’d appreciate your help in choosing the programming,” Darlene said to me. “Other than picking my weird cousin as a boyfriend, you seem to be pretty smart.”
Taylor pulled my hands from my lap and set them on the table, then pointed to the large gleaming round solitaire.
“Holy shit, that’s huge,” Darrell laughed. He clapped Taylor on the back. “Congratulations to both of you.”
Darlene jumped up to hug me. “I’ve never had a sister,” she whispered in my ear. “This will be close enough.” I was touched by how quickly I was welcomed into the group, even though I still didn’t know what to think of the others.
“Hey,” Gary said thoughtfully, “When we repackage our first online series to pitch it to streaming services, can we tell them that our crazy little show resulted in a marriage? It’s great publicity.”
I looked to Taylor, who shrugged. “If it’s all right with Alice, it’s all right with me. As long as it’s tasteful.”
“Then we’ll leave Darrell out of it,” Gary quipped, earning himself a smack on the shoulder.
“The psychologists from the wrap-up episode had plenty of ideas for future shows,” Darlene said. “More harmless experiments in human nature and behavior.”
“University students would be all over that,” I said. “Wanting to prove their studies, and gather evidence.”
“But you can stay out of that until you get your degree,” Taylor said, as his hand landed heavily on my knee. “Your education comes first. The rest of this can wait.”
“Bossy,” I whispered, raising my eyebrow. “And pushy. So, so pushy.”
“I don’t want my gorgeous girl to be stressed,” Taylor grinned. “Remember, the wedding planner is arriving tomorrow.”
For the millionth time in the past month, I felt completely spoiled rotten. “Thank you,” I whispered, leaning in to give him a kiss on the cheek. I didn’t care that it was clearly unprofessional in a business meeting.
After we finished the meeting, we went out to the parking lot and I slipped behind the wheel of my luxurious burgundy car. “Straight home?” I asked.
“Yes,” Taylor practically growled. “I haven’t had you naked in over ten hours.”
Thank goodness my new wheels had a lot of pickup. With all of the amazing things that Taylor had done for me, I certainly didn’t want to make my new fiancé wait.
For anything.

* Six Years Later *
It was incredible to see the difference in Grandpa’s old TV station. Alice had been right – by using it as a learning springboard for university students, the station had taken off.
They were running their own shows for both traditional television and online broadcasts now. Everything was fairly educational, but most programs leaned heavily into the wholesome family entertainment category.
Since more people were coming to the studio every week, the local cafes and restaurants had a bit more business, which had contributed to the revival of the whole neighborhood.
Six months previously the five of us had a meeting, and decided to cut off a small, awkward portion of the property at the far end. We sold it to Gary’s connection at the strip mall corporation. The string of seven new but affordable shops rejuvenated the area even more, and brought more people to the studio when there was a call for audience members.
As I ushered my favorite audience guests to their seats, their tiny hands squeezed mine.
“Daddy, are you going to sit with us?” Kaitlyn asked, tilting her head so that her auburn pigtails swished around her.
“No, honey. I need you to stay with Bobby so that Mommy and Daddy can go talk. Will you do that for me?”
“Yes,” she said, lifting her chin. She absolutely adored bossing her younger brother around.
Thankfully, my stoic little man took it with good humor. He would do anything we asked in order to see the live recordings of his favorite show, Wacky Uncle Darrell’s Puppet Pals.
Once they were settled, I went over to Nikki, one of the audience wranglers, to tell her we’d be a phone call away. Not only did she work at the station, she occasionally babysat for us, so I knew the children were in good hands.
Walking quickly out to the back parking lot, I paced frantically until Alice’s new royal blue SUV pulled in. “How was your trip, sugar?” I asked, wrapping her in my arms the second her feet were on the ground.
“Incredible,” she grinned, her lovely hazel eyes full of joy. “I got a private tour with the curator, and was allowed to take photos of unreleased sketches.”
Guiding her into the back door of the studio, I turned down a dark back hallway. Alice rolled her eyes. “You missed me so badly that you need another quickie in the store room?” She laughed lightly.
She wasn’t wrong. I did have a terrible habit of taking her in nearly public places. She loved it just as much, but teased me mercilessly about it.
Pushing open the door, her mouth fell open as she walked inside and I locked it behind us. A white silk sheet was draped over the couch to reflect the light of the dozen candles that surrounded the small arrangement of pink roses.
Standing behind her, I pulled her against me, placing my hands on the front of her hips. “I really missed you,” I growled in her ear. “Want me to show you how much?”
“Enough to make us a hidden set for a quickie back here?” she smiled, as she turned to unbuckle my belt. “I admire your romantic lighting skills.”
I loved how bold my darling wife had become. Even though she’d only been gone for a day this time, I’d missed her so badly that I just couldn’t wait. Tearing off her panties, I hitched her dress up to her waist and dropped my pants in seconds.
“Husband, did you want me?” she asked teasingly as I laid over her across the couch.
I loved that she took hold of my shaft and guided it
straight into her soft, wet pussy. My sweet girl had become so bold, our heat impossible to contain.
“Ahh,” she moaned as I thrust deep and quick. “Taylor, flip me.”
Although I adored every single thing Alice ever said to me, that was definitely one of my very favorite things to hear. I arranged her on all fours on the couch, then plunged back inside, bringing my fingers directly to her clit.
