He couldn't wait any longer. He rose up over her body, nudging into her. She opened her eyes then, drinking in the sight of him, whispering his name as she begged him to fill her. Her hands caressed his hips, tugged at him, and still he waited. He waited with a wicked grin until he saw that temper spark in her eyes and his sweet girl snarled at him.

He entered her then, in a strong slide, filling her, stretching as he pushed deeper. She was so hot, so tight. He buried himself and claimed her as he did, grinding his hips into hers as he held himself inside her, savoring the feel of her muscles clenched around his length.

"Jason, you need to move inside me. Right now."

His girl, demanding, her thighs clenched around him, and he gave her what she wanted, as much as she could take. Pulling back almost all the way, he slid back into her again. She cried out as he did, again and then again. He kept his thrusts smooth and deep, claiming her mouth as he felt her tighten even more around him. He picked up the pace, rocking into her harder and faster as her hands tightened on his back and she called out more desperately.

He took her cries into his mouth as she came, the tiny muscles of her sex convulsing around him until he pressed himself deep inside her and held, coming in a rush of blinding heat.

"Ben called." Jason told her when she woke the next morning.

"Hmm?" He'd never get over how lovely she was, all that golden hair spilling across the pillow.

He sat on the edge of the bed and placed a tray on a nearby table. He hadn't made much, just eggs and toast, but the simple meal was important for her to eat. He needed to take care of her and she needed more than the mug of soup he’d managed to coax her into drinking before she'd fallen asleep the previous night.

"He and Jenna are overseeing the study of the hunter's remains, especially the body armor." He handed her a piece of toast as she sat up, dressed in one of his flannel shirts. Those shirts never looked so damned good on him. "Representatives from several other packs and prides are coming to learn whatever there is to learn."

"They'll need the readings from yesterday's scan." She had a few crumbs at the corner of her mouth and he leaned over to kiss them away.

"We've got a job to finish." He nodded. "After this job is over, he said he had a couple of others for me, if I'd take them."

She cocked her head to the side in that inquisitive way of hers. "How many?"

"As many as it takes, until I accept a place in the pack." Recalling the conversation, he still wasn't sure he'd heard the alpha correctly.

"Did he really offer a place in the pack?" She nibbled on her toast thoughtfully.

He watched her, conscious of a lot going on in the blonde little head of hers. "Well?"

She looked at him with wide, innocent eyes. "Well what?"

He growled. She knew he waited for her answer, but she pushed his buttons. He loved her for it and wanted to shake her at the same time. "Will you stay with me, if I'm here?"

She put down her food for him, something he had never seen her do. And then she spoke the words he most wanted to hear. "I would stay with you, wherever you went."

Jason picked up the toast and held it out for her. When she took a bite from it, accepting food from him, letting him provide for her, some missing piece settled into place in his heart. "Then let's stay here and give pack life a try together."
