'Something Happened' error
Method 1 ( 4 steps )
Step 1: Hit the Windows key on the keyboard to open Start menu.
Step 2: Type in "Control Panel" in the search field to locate it and then launch the app.
Step 3: Click the Clock > Language > Region icon to bring up the new interface. Go to Region section and select the Administrative tab.
Step 4: Click on the Change System Locale button and set it to "English (US)." Restart your computer and then start the Windows 10 update process, which should now complete without any hassles.
If you are still facing installation issues with Windows 10, then try the second fix:
Method 2 ( 4 steps )
For this method, just grab the Windows 10 ISO file and install it on your PC via bootable USB or DVD drive. You can create the bootable USB by choosing the option "Create installation media for another PC" during the setup or if you can burn the ISO file to a DVD.
This error may also be triggered while creating Windows install media with insufficient privileges. To create a stable installation disk, do the following:
Step 1: Download and install the Windows 10 Download tool (ISO files for 32 and 64-bit) from the link provided.
Step 2: Restart your computer and log in as administrator if you have not done so.
Step 3: Launch the Start Menu and type in "Windows 10 Download" and hit enter. Once the app appears in search results, just right-click on it and Select "Run as Administrator".
Step 4: Follow the onscreen instructions detailed in the application to create the installation media. After you have created a bootable USB drive or DVD, just install Windows 10 by booting through one of them.
That's it. Windows 10 will be automatically installed and you just have to follow onscreen prompts.

How to fix Windows 10 Chrome browser freezing issue
A recent Google Chrome update (v45.0.2454.85 m) seems to have reactivated the browser crashing and freezing issue on Windows 10 systems as several users have been complaining about the issue on Microsoft Forums, Reddit and the Chromium Project issue tracker, in the last few days. The issue has been confirmed on both 32-bit and 64-bit variants of the Windows 10 OS.
The Chrome browser freezing/crashing issue was first spotted in Windows 10 build 10525, which was released by Google just a couple of weeks ago. And the issue seemed to be temporarily resolved through a recent maintenance update from Google.
However, folks at Bidness ETC have confirmed that the issue has returned with the advent of the latest Chrome update, as several users are reportedly encountering browser freezes while snapping the updated version of the Chrome browser to one side of the desktop.
It is further ascertained that the browser remains unresponsive, until it is returned to a floating position. As there is no fix available at the moment, you can simply try using the Chrome in a floating window or switch back to the earlier version, using the step-by-step guide provided below :
Step 1: Launch Windows Start menu and search for Program and Features. Click the application's icon from the search result.
Step 2: All the installed apps on the computer will be displayed in the list. Just select Google Chrome from the list and hit Uninstall.
Step 3: Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the browser uninstall process.
Step 4: Finally, download the previous version of Chrome: Google
Chrome 44.0.2403.157. After the download is complete, just run the .exe file to install the older version of the browser.
That's it. You should no longer face any browser freezing issue with this older version of Chrome and you may continue using it until Google rolls out a new bug-fix update for the same.

How to fix blank tiles on Start Menu
Several Windows 10 users have taken to Microsoft Forums and Reddit, complaining about the missing tiles issue with the Start Menu, soon after performing the fresh upgrade from Windows 7 or 8.1 to Windows 10. The root cause of the issue is attributed to Windows 10 universal apps, wherein a Reddit user hPl3K has posted a screenshot illustrating the bug in action.
Step 1: Press Windows Key + Q on the keyboard to bring up the Search Menu, type powershell and choose Windows PowerShell from the results. Then right-click on it and choose Run as administrator from the context menu to unlock special permissions and privileges.
Step 2: Type the following command in the administrative Windows PowerShell window, and then hit Enter key to execute the command:
Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)AppXManifest.xml"}
Wait until the command is successfully executed, and then quit Windows PowerShell, before rebooting your computer. Once you restart the computer, problems with the Start Menu should be resolved.

How to force Windows 10 activation
Prospective Windows 10 users have been complaining about a bunch of activation errors and issues with Microsoft's newest operating system ever since its release, while veteran Windows users have been unearthing new ways of completing the activation successfully.
Folks at Bidness ETC have shared a simple method to force activate Windows 10 on your computer, after completing the checklist provided below:
ADVERTISING
Ensure that you are updating to Windows 10 on a legitimate copy of Windows 8 or 7.1 or using a valid, purchased license key from Microsoft for clean installation.
If you encounter any of the error messages such as 0XC004E003, 0x8007000D, 0x8007232b or 0x8007007B, it could be due to peak load on Microsoft's activation servers, which may be attributed to huge volumes of activation requests made at the time.
In such a scenario, users are advised to re-attempt activation via force activation method as outlined below:
Step 1: Launch the Start Menu and search for Command Prompt. Then right-click it and select "Run as Administrator" from the context menu.
Step 2: Once the Command Prompt launches, type: slmgr.vbs –rearm and hit Enter to execute the command.
Step 3: Quit the Command Prompt window and reboot your PC.

How to fix stuck at 25% installation or error 0xC1900101 - 0x20004
Windows 10 has undoubtedly been the largest online update release till date with more than 67 million PCs already running Microsoft's latest desktop operating system (OS). The number of inherent bugs in the new OS has also grown substantially ever since the software released.
Windows 10 users are encountering the most common installation error 0xC1900101 - 0x20004, wherein the device gets stuck at 25% installation or when 84% of the files have been copied.
Apparently, the blue LED on the PC stops blinking and the system freezes when this error occurs, during the Windows 10 installation.
Folks at Bidness ETC have confirmed that performing a hard reset will inadvertently roll back your computer software to Windows 8.1 or 7, while Microsoft is yet to address this critical issue.
It has been identified that the root cause of this issue is linked to the difference in the way Windows 10 and Windows 7/8.1 interact with internal components and external peripherals.
Furthermore, Windows 10 users with more than one storage or optical disk drive such as SSD or HDD are said to be affected with this issue. However, there is a simple fix to resolve this problem:
Step 1: Ensure that you install Windows 10 via thumb drive or from a CD/DVD, as the Windows 10 update method is still buggy and unstable.
Step 2: Disconnect all peripherals or external devices connected to the PC, apart from the installation media or optical drive, keyboard, mouse and monitor.
Step 3: Also disconnect the SATA cable of your second DVD drive and extra storage drives, except the one on which you want to install Windows 10.

How to fix no Wi-Fi available issue after Windows 10 upgrade
Users might have come across an issue after Windows 10 upgrade from Windows 8.1, wherein the wireless networks are not available.
It occurs even when the wireless network adapter functions properly as well as after restarting and reinstalling the wireless network adapter driver several times.
The issue might also prevent the wired Ethernet connection from functioning properly.
According to Microsoft, the issue is caused by unsupported VPN software present during the Windows 10 upgrade.
"The issue may occur if older VPN software is installed on Windows 8.1 and is present during the upgrade to Windows 10. Older software versions contain a Filter Driver (the Deterministic Network Enhancer) which is not properly upgraded, leading to the issue," explains Microsoft.
There is a solution for this. Performing it is as simple as issuing a command. For a detailed guide check the following steps:
Step-1: Launch Command Prompt as Admin. For this, right-click Start button from there and select Command Prompt (Admin) from the drop-down menu
Step-2: Execute the following command and then press Enter
reg delete HKCRCLSID{988248f3-a1ad-49bf-9170-676cbbc36ba3} /va /f
Step-3: Enter the bellow command and press Enter
netcfg -v -u dni_dne
Now restart your PC and check the Wi-Fi settings. You should now be able to get all visible networks around.

How to fix Black Screen at boot or AMD driver issues after upgrade
Windows 10 has been plagued with persistent bugs and inherent issues ever since its release, even as discerning users and industry experts are finding numerous ways to tackle or fix these problems permanently.
Some users are reportedly flooding Microsoft Forums with complaints about delayed boot-up issues, which are supposedly due to faulty AMD video card drivers.
The delayed boot-up issue is characterised by a black screen with a mouse cursor during the boot process, wherein users are reportedly forced to wait up to a minute on the same screen, before the login window appears.
It is confirmed that the issue is limited to newly installed AMD Catalyst 15.7.1 video card drivers and it can be resolved by restoring or reverting to earlier drivers.
This issue can be easily resolved using simple troubleshooting steps as outlined by the folks at Bidness Etc:
Step 1: Launch Start Menu and go to Settings > System
Step 2: Choose Apps and Features tab in the left pane and then find the AMD Catalyst Install Manager from the list. Finally, click Uninstall
Step 3: Select 'Yes' to confirm the User Account Control (UAC) prompt to grant permission for uninstalling the drivers
Step 4: Wait for the video card drivers to uninstall and then download the previous 15.7 version of the AMD Catalyst drivers, based on the system architecture (32-bit or 64-bit) of your computer
Step 5: Let the driver download complete. Then run the .exe file and extract the installation files for the driver to a desired location (preferably desktop)
Step 6: Close the AMD driver setup wizard after the extraction completes
Step 7: Once again launch the Start Menu and open up the Device Manager
Step 8: Scroll down and locate Microsoft Basic Display under Display drivers. Note: This means the video card drivers are not installed for the display
Step 9: Just
right-click on the Display drivers icon and click update
Step 10: In the ensuing dialog box, click Browse and then go to the folder where you extracted the Catalyst 15.7 drivers. By default, it should be located under C: > AMD folder
Step 11: Once you have selected the correct folder location for the driver, just click Okay and the setup wizard should automatically identify the driver within the folder and install it
Step 12: Finally, reboot your PC and it should start booting up normally without any boot delays or unexpected Black Screen, just before the Windows login.
