Love Shouldn't Hurt

“You are going to be our woman,” he said so firmly she shivered and almost came again. She needed to stop this madness. It would be a mistake, but then she felt his fingers maneuver past her thong panties and right up into her cunt. She grabbed onto his forearm and held his gaze as he pumped his fingers into her cunt over and over again. She was so in tune to the emotions, the sensations around her. The way her ass was slightly off the island, how her pussy throbbed and ached with desire. He used his other hand to cup her cheek and neck, and stared into her eyes as he stroked her cunt.

“Tell me you feel it. Just tell me you feel this between us and all the other shit we’ll work it out. Tell me, York. Now,” he demanded.

“Yes. Oh God, Finn, yes I feel it.” She cried out and came. He pulled fingers from her cunt and replaced them with his mouth, shocking her. She grabbed onto his hair as he ate at her cream, licked and thrust his tongue into her needy cunt, and she panted for breath. She was in trouble here. In big, big trouble. She lost control and let go and backpedaling was going to be painful. As he eased his mouth from her cunt, he kissed her belly, then up between her breasts as she caressed his cheeks, his hair, and he pressed over her. “You taste delicious. My brothers are going to love tasting you, too,” he said, and reality struck fast. She gripped his shoulders. “Finn, we shouldn’t have done this. I can’t give you more, give them more. I can’t.”

He eased up, gripped her hips, and pulled her against his waist. “Bullshit you can’t. You’re scared, I get it. We’re older, more experienced, but we know what the fuck we want and that’s you, York.” He caressed her thigh. She shook her head and tears filled her eyes.

“I can’t. I’m sorry. We shouldn’t have done this. Please, Finn, just go. Please.”

He narrowed his eyes at her and looked at her like he was trying to read her mind. “I know you want this, and it’s obvious something holds you back, but rest assured, I’m going to find out. My brothers and I want you, York. How can you deny the attraction?”

“I’m not denying the attraction. I’m declining it going any further. It’s how it has to be, Finn.” She pushed against him and started to wiggle off the counter. He helped her down and caressed her skirt down, along her hip, and then to her ass. He squeezed her ass. “Finn.”

“You will be my woman. I know you feel it, too, and whatever is holding you back won’t be enough to stop this from happening. It won’t.” He cupped her neck and cheek and sounded so sure, so confident, before he pressed his lips to hers. The feel of those masculine lips, his possessive hold and words did a number on her insides. He towered over her and as he took her hand and walked her with him to her door. He gave her a soft smile. “Lock up, and remember if you need anything, I’m here and just a phone call away.” He gave her hip a tap and he opened the door.

She watched him walk down the small walkway to the patrol car, took in the sight of his sexy body, all those muscles and the way he looked so hot in uniform, and she felt the tears fill her eyes again. She couldn’t have him, or his brothers. They were military and law enforcement, and she was practically a criminal, and came from a family of criminals who wanted her back in their lives and under their control.

She had no one to talk to. Not even Harper, and when she thought about her, she felt guilty for being so selfish and thinking about silly things like this that happened tonight, when Harper’s life was in danger and she could die. Please be safe, Harper. Please come back to us. Keep fighting, I need you. You’re my best friend. Please.”

“Let go of me!” Harper yelled at Hyzein as he pulled her along the hallway and then down the flight of stairs. She could barely walk, her legs felt weak, and she’d lost more weight and had no appetite. Whatever drugs they gave her made her feel full, but she could see her ribs, could see how boney her knees were and her arms. It felt like if Hyzein squeezed tight enough that he could break her bones. The only things she held onto at this point was her conversations with Isla. Harper kept telling her that they would live. That the men would be resourceful enough to save them both and to kill Skoens and Hyzein. As he pushed the metal door open, he shoved her forward. She fell against the concrete wall, instantly breaking her skin on her knees. She hadn’t noticed the other man. Not until the light clicked on. A camera was set up and wires through the wall. He was going to do another video.

“This is her?” the man asked.

“Yes, and once I do this last video, she is yours to take back home with you, or wherever.”

  “She looks sick, and thin.”

“In order to break her down and to show those scum bags that I’ve tortured her and will let her die. Seeing you will be the last reminder of her blood on their hands.”

She was shaking with fear. What did Hyzein mean about this man talking her home with him? The man bent down next to her. He rolled her to her back, pushed her hair along her shoulders and gripped a handful of locks to pull her upward. She gasped. He pushed the strap to her bra to the side. “Healthy, she has big breasts, a nice body. You want to keep her for a bit then feed her, but I suggest keeping the drugs going. She has a fight in her.”

“Start the video,” Armad said, and Hyzein bowed his head and then started it up.

He shocked her when Armad pulled her into his arms, into an instant headlock. She cried out, her neck hurt, and she knew he could kill her. Could break her neck right here on camera for her men to see. The tears rolled down her cheeks.

“It’s live so do whatever you wish,” Hyzein said to him.

“So this is your woman? Not looking so perfect right now, but what will it matter if I break her neck and end her life right here? What do you think, Hyzein? Should we kill her now, or fuck her first?” he asked, and she couldn’t even shed any tears she was so dehydrated and weak. “Tell them good-bye, Harper. Tell them you hate them for getting you killed. Go on tell them,” he pushed, and released her neck and gripped her chin as he held her from behind and she faced the camera.

“Get up close to her face so they see the tears, the pain, the fear we have brought to her,” Armad said to Hyzein. Hyzein nodded.

“Tell them!” Armad yelled the order into her ear.

She took an unsteady breath, felt ready to pass out. “Ferrion, Broaden, Lextin, Snipe…they’re going to kill me. Make sure you make them suffer before you kill them slowly,” she said, shocking them.

Armad shoved her to the ground and kicked her in the side, he struck her across the mouth and she grunted in pain but hoped if the video was seen by her men that they knew she fought until the end.

“We win,” Hyzein said into the camera and then turned it off.

“Grrrr!” Snipe roared and paced outside of the command center. They were trying to pinpoint the log cabin and location in New York. They were waiting on a call from some federal agent who had been investigating Skoens and his brother.

“Calm down. You saw the video. Your woman is a fighter. She’s telling you to go in there and take those men the fuck out and that is exactly what you and the rest of us are going to do. Armad is there. That egotistical fuck thinks he can come in and out of this country and do as he pleases. He’s done. Hyzein and VanBuren are done, and we’re going to be the teams to take them out and end this,” Stone Ryder said to him.

“If she lives. You saw them kicking her, how thin and sick she is. They are starving her, drugging her. God knows what the fuck else,” Lextin said, and ran his fingers through his hair.

“She’s not giving up. She’s telling us if we’re close, then she’ll hold on. That if she dies, she dies fighting and makes us proud. Mother fucker I want those men dead!” Broaden exclaimed.

Stone’s cell phone rang. He answered it as they stood outside of the mobile command center and got the call.

“Where?” he asked as Corporal Sanchez brought over a map and placed it onto the portable table they had out by the vehicles. “That’s about thirty minutes from here. Are you fucking sure, Agent Smert? There’s a woman’s life on
the line,” he asked.

“Okay, meet us at that crossroad and I will get eyes and ears on that location immediately.”

Stone ordered everyone to gather around. “Okay, we got a possible location that also fits the coordinates of that latest video signal we just got. Before we head up there all gung ho, I want a team working on the surrounding perimeter of the two houses. I want to know if there are hidden security cameras, wires, guards, you name it. It’s about an hour until sundown, and the dark will give us the upper hand, I hope. Ferrion, you gather the teams you want for this infiltration and mission. I think four on each house.”

“Got it,” Ferrion said, and then looked at his men and the other two teams that had gone on the last mission with them.

“We need to do this right. Her life is hanging on a thread. No one but the good guys leaves alive, understood?”

“Understood,” they all said, and the plans were started.

Ferrion nodded to his brothers, and they walked to the side and he addressed them as their brother, not their commander.

“I don’t know what we’re going to find in there. If we’ll be too late.” They all looked grim and looked away from him and around them, obviously not wanting to face the possibility that Harper could be dead. “No matter what we find, it all ends here, tonight. They all die.”

“She’s alive. She’s a fighter. That last fucking video, her words I will never forget or that look in her eyes. She may be drugged, weak, and maybe even dying, but she’s determined, and we have to be, too,” Snipe said.

“We are, and we will get our woman back and never let her go,” Ferrion said.

“Never leave her side again,” Broaden said to them.

“Never,” Lextin added, and they agreed before they headed back and planned their mission accordingly.

“No, please don’t hurt her anymore. Please!” Isla screamed and then covered Harper’s body with her own. She paid the price as Armad’s men beat her and yanked her off of Harper. Isla wouldn’t let them kill her or take her and Harper away. The men said the SUV was ready and they were getting the drugs ready to shoot them up, make them pass out, and who knows where they would wake up. She screamed and fought hard as suddenly sirens blared and alarms sounded, and she reached for the gun on the one soldier’s hip. She pulled it from him, turned and shot him, and then the next two. She screamed at the top of her lungs, could barely see through her swollen eye and the pain she was in, but if they were going to die, then it would be as they made a stand. She would fight to the end just like Harper.

She glanced down at Harper, her intakes of breath were raspy, and she didn’t look well at all. She caressed her hair. “Stay with me, Harper. I’m doing what you did and make a last stand,” she said.

Harper moaned, but she slid her hand to the guy on the ground and pulled his gun from his waist. She blinked her eyes. “You have to try and save yourself. Escape. I have a gun,” she told Isla.

“No, Harper. We escape together. You promised me a life in Cherry Hill, a place to call home and put this all behind me. You promised me that and to be my friend.” Tears rolled down Isla’s cheeks, when suddenly she heard footsteps, and then soldiers appeared. Isla shot them, Harper did, too. The four men fell to the ground.

“Grab their guns. We’re going to need them,” Harper said to her.

Isla looked down at her and nodded. “Together.”

  “Together,” Harper replied.

It was a nightmare. They weren’t a half a mile away from the house when gunfire erupted, hitting the trees and small bit of coverage around them. Thank God they came prepared and with weapons and devices that could take out shooters all the way up to the house. Their friends and fellow soldiers took sniper shots, as Ferrion and his teams of men hurried through the woods in upstate New York and infiltrated the large estate. Sirens blared, men came out shooting around every corner. He gave hand signals as to who would take which direction. His mind on getting to Harper when Armad and Skoens came around the side hallway shooting their weapons. Ferrion and Snipe took them out, bullets to their heads. He didn’t take time to celebrate the victory. Hyzein was still in here somewhere and so was Harper.

“Let’s take the stairs,” Broaden said, and they swept the house in teams of four. Four sets searched every inch, took over enemy after enemy, even located a surveillance room and office with documents and evidence to prove their illegal activities and terrorist plans of attacks here in New York. As they continued to search for Harper and Hyzein, they heard more gunfire, and saw one of the men from their team go down by the back door. He was shot but alive. “Are you okay?” Ferrion asked, bending down to check him.

“Fine, vest saved me. Hyzein, he went that way with three other men.”

“Let’s move.” Snipe was already ahead of him, along with Lextin, Broaden, and Ferrion. They scanned the darkness, heard the commotion of gunfire, and then he saw two women, one only wearing a uniform shirt, and then both fired their weapons and just kept firing.

“Harper!” Snipe yelled to her as both women fell to the ground.

“Harper!” Lextin yelled and fell to his knees as Broaden and Snipe looked at what they shot at. There lay Hyzein and two other men dead and laying in the brush.

“Holy shit, you’re alive. You’re alive,” Broaden said to her, and cupped her cheeks. Her breathing was horrific. “She needs medical attention. She has broken ribs, and other injuries. They drugged her and kept her from eating,” the other woman said. She was young, all bruised up, and her eye swollen almost closed.

“Isla,” Harper said her name and Isla bent lower. Lextin moved out of the way, and Ferrion feared that Harper hated them so much that she wasn’t relieved to see them. Looking at her, seeing how emaciated she looked, plus the bruises, the injuries to her body under the uniform shirt that was open as she lay on the ground. Isla hugged her.

“Wait, you’re Watson’s little sister?” Snipe asked. She lifted up and nodded.

“Thank God you’re alive. We only found out what happened to you right before Harper was abducted,” he said, and then other soldiers came running toward them, including Stone.

“You found them? The others are dead?” he asked.

“They’re dead thanks to Harper and Isla, Watson’s sister,” Ferrion told him.

“Holy shit, you’re alive, too? Thank God. Medics are on their way up. This will be one hell of a mess to clean up,” Stone said.

“That’s your job, and I believe all the evidence upstairs in that office will confirm things. We’re taking care of our woman and Isla,” Ferrion said, and then he bent down and lifted Harper up into his arms. She felt so frail, so light, he feared touching her could break bones. When she lay her head against his chest and was quiet, he feared she might hate them for doing this to her, but his brothers gathered around her, caressed her skin, kissed her wherever they could, and then heard her sob. “We’re taking you home, soldier, and we’re never leaving your side again.”

  Epilogue

Three weeks later and it had become a routine. Harper and Isla remained at Harper’s place and Isla helped care for her along with York. Today Harper wanted to go to work to visit everyone and to ensure that things were running smoothly. She was trying to get dressed as Snipe stood in the doorway and hesitated to go help her. She was stubborn and wouldn’t let them do too much for her. She was already looking a lot healthier, had gained weight, but the bruising was still there on her neck, her cheeks, and body, but was healing. She gripped the side of the closet doorframe as she let the dress fall into place. It looked big still, but she put on a light sweater and buttoned it so it wouldn’t look too big on her. She bent to step into the sandals and Snipe came up behind her.

“You look gorgeous,” he said, and slid his arm around her waist. He nuzzled against her neck, inhaled her scent, her shampoo, and squeezed her to him.

“Thank you,” she said, and stepped into the low heeled sandals. She turned in his arms and smoothed her
hands up and down his chest. “I love you,” he said to her.
