He lifted his glass as the room roared its response.

  ‘To Rosa!’

  EPILOGUE

  Six months later

Titch poked her head around the hospital curtain. ‘Knock, knock, can I come in?’

Rosa smiled back at her; she had never looked more serene or beautiful than when holding her first child in her arms.

Josh stood proudly beside her. ‘We’d like to introduce you to Benedict Christopher Smith,’ he said, a huge grin spreading across his face on saying his baby son’s name out loud.

Titch’s eyes filled with tears. She kissed first Rosa, then Josh, and on looking closely at the dark-haired bundle of joy before her, lightly kissed him. ‘He’s perfect.’

Rosa, too, was welling up. ‘Benedict was Ned’s full name,’ she explained, ‘and I couldn’t not add Christopher, could I?’

‘Very posh. Oh, and one more thing.’ Titch grinned. ‘You do realise what all this means now, don’t you? You are officially inaugurated into the “No telling anyone anything bad about it” Parents’ Club.’

Rosa looked down at the dear little boy sleeping soundly in her arms, then to her handsome husband standing by her side and said quietly, ‘And there’s nowhere that I would rather be.’

Word-of-mouth is crucial for any author to succeed. If you enjoyed your time down in Cockleberry Bay, please could you leave a review on Amazon. Even if it’s just a sentence or two, it would make all the difference and would be very much appreciated. This is the third book in the Cockleberry Bay series.

  ABOUT THE AUTHOR

The Gift of Cockleberry Bay is Nicola May’s eleventh novel and is the third of the bestselling Cockleberry Bay trilogy. She has won awards at the Festival of Romance for The School Gates and Christmas Spirit.

Nicola likes to write about love, life and friendship in a realistic way; she is not afraid to tackle the big themes, such as infidelity, addiction and infertility, describing her novels as ‘chick lit with a kick’.

Living near the famous Ascot racecourse with her black-and-white rescue cat, Stan, she enjoys watching films that involve a lot of swooning, crabbing in South Devon, eating cream teas – and, naturally, enjoying a flutter on the horses.
