I do as she asks, wondering what the hell I’m about to see. When I see it’s a photo frame of an ultrasound picture, I’m confused. That is, until I read what the picture frame says. For once in my life, I’m speechless.

“We’re having a boy?” My mouth is dry as I ask the question. Michelle can only nod as happy tears stream down her face. “Fuck, I love the girls, but God, it’s going to be perfect having our little guy,” I say as my eyes find their way back to the picture frame.
“You’re perfect,” she tells me as she comes to sit beside me on the bed.
“You know baby, I met you at the gates of hell, and you brought me home. I love you more than words could ever describe. I found my home with you.” My words cause her eyes to widen, and she buries her head in my chest. Her body shaking as she sobs softly against me. “I love you.” I kiss her head as I wait for her to stop crying.
“I love you too,” she says through her tears.
Seventeen weeks later, Dustin Heller Lawrence was born.
