“I’m no saint, Lee. I can appreciate a tainted woman. In fact, that’s my favorite kind. Get your head out of your ass and kiss me again.”
So I did.
And everything pretty much escalated from there.
The cassette started playing all garbled like something was wrong, Sam gave it a swift kick, and the damn thing quit entirely. We found ourselves left with only the sounds of the great outdoors and the noise of heavy panting from two people who had prevented themselves from coming together for far too long.
“I got a sleeping bag,” he mumbled while fumbling around with my bra. “It’s not the Ritz Carlton, but it’s the best I could do on short notice.”
“I will fuck you right here in the dirt, Sam. I’ve been waiting six agonizing months for this. I will wait no longer!”
To show just how serious I was, I might have sucked on his nipple a bit too hard and caused him to flinch in pain.
“Did that hurt?”
“I’m not sure. Do it again with the other one,” he commanded breathlessly.
“Do you like it rough?” I purred, unbuckling his belt with a speed previously unknown to man.
“I’ll take it any way you’re willing to give it, baby.”
Now we’re talking.
With one swift motion, Sam spread the sleeping bag onto a flat spot of ground near the campfire and I had his pants around his ankles.
“FUCK!” I shouted in despair, smacking myself on the forehead.
“What’s wrong?” he asked, swiveling his head in every direction as though trying to assess any sign of danger.
“I want to fuck you,” I declared miserably.
“Yeah, we’re gonna do that. What’s the problem?”
“Birth control?”
“Give me a little credit, will you?” he mumbled while reaching into the back of the truck and grabbing a duffel bag. Sam proceeded to pull out not one, but four condoms. “No worries, baby.”
“Four?”
“I’m a hopeless optimist, what can I say?”
Actually, he didn’t need to say anything. Words were no longer necessary as we sank to the ground in a tangle of limbs, eager to explore every inch of each others’ now naked bodies.
No longer forced to hold himself back, Sam took immense pleasure in my ample bosom. Fondling, tasting, teasing, and caressing, he moaned in ecstasy while fully immersing himself in his new obsession.
“So long,” he murmured in amazement. “I’ve waited so long to touch these. Even better than all my fantasies.”
Leaning back against the cool fabric of the shiny sleeping bag, I ran my hands through his hair and sighed in satisfaction. This is what life is all about.
But it got even better.
Sam gave me one last tantalizing kiss before sliding down to lower places that craved his attention.
“Last night, Lee…what you did with your mouth…fuck. I’m not that good, but I’ll try my best.”
Without waiting one more second, Sam buried his face between my legs and proved himself wrong. He absolutely was that good. Magnificent. Exquisite. Primal.
Working his tongue with a savagery that had me arching my back and moaning within seconds, he gave generously until I lost all sense of control. It had been so long since I got off from anything other than my hand or a vibrator, the sheer force of the orgasm took me by surprise.
“Yes, yes, YES!” I shouted, greedily pulling him closer as wave after pulsating wave flowed through my trembling body.
Continuing to lick my most sensitive spot until he’d devoured every last drop, Sam finally kissed his way back up to where he began. Tenderly rubbing my nose with his, Eskimo style, he let out a deep sigh of enjoyment.
“You taste even better than you smell, Lee,” Sam admitted, taking on a look of sheepishness. “I have a confession though…”
Oh, crap. Was something wrong?
“What?”
“I have to tell you something that I’m not really proud of. Did you ever notice that you seem to go through a lot more face cream than you used to?”
“Huh?” I wiped my face absentmindedly. Did I have a smear of food somewhere?
“I…um…I’ve always been…uh…captivated by your scent. I guess you could use the term ‘aroused’ if you want. So…yeah.”
“Okay, I’m glad my fragrance is so potent.” Why were we taking a break right in the middle of sex to have such a bizarre discussion?
“Sometimes I sneak into your bathroom and jerk off with your face cream. And your perfume. I probably shouldn’t be admitting this right now, but I felt guilty.”
I couldn’t help but break into uncontrollable laughter.
“You really know how to ruin the mood, don’t you?” I asked without a hint of seriousness at all. Reaching out a hand to caress his cheek tenderly, I gave him a genuine smile. “You captivate me, Sam. It’s rare in this life to find someone who’s totally compatible on so many levels. I feel like I can trust you and completely let my guard down. I never do that with anyone. You’re my favorite person in the whole world too.”
We began to kiss again, hands roaming gently to massage and caress any parts within reach, casually taking our time, unhurried. Slow exploration soon transformed into a desperate need, and our pace quickened furiously. Clutching each other tightly and rolling around on the blanket in an embrace that heated up to a raging inferno, it was time to consummate our relationship.
I reached over, grabbed one of the condoms, and ripped it open. With no hesitation, Sam rolled on the thin layer of protection and rested his forehead on mine.
“You ready, Lee?”
“I’ve been waiting to find you my whole life, Sam. I’m beyond ready.”
No more words were spoken as he let the tip tease my opening and finally plunged inside with one swift motion. I tensed up, taking all of him and needing a moment to adjust to his size. Savoring the sensation as he filled me completely, I began to rock my hips back and forth.
A delicious thrill coursed through my body from head to toe as I realized all my wildest dreams were finally coming true. Had this been a movie and I’d written the script myself, it would be impossible to make any aspect more perfect than it already was. I needed him for so long…and this was the moment I’d been waiting for.
As our two bodies became one, I memorized every movement, every sigh, every single thrust, and the feel of his muscular frame as he took me to new levels of ecstasy. No matter what Sam might say tomorrow, I knew this was love-making at its finest and most pure.
We moved in sync, eventually speeding up our rhythm to a decidedly faster pace. I began to tremble in anticipation of the savage release that threatened to burst forth at any moment.
“More,” I begged, bucking wildly underneath him, nails clawing at tender shoulder skin. In response, Sam mercifully picked up the pace, thrusting even deeper in an effort to push me over the edge.
Suddenly I felt myself clench tightly around his cock as a string of convulsions signaled an orgasm of epic proportions. This was no tiny wave crashing against the shore, but rather an explosion like a nuclear bomb detonating and completely sending all conscious thought right out of my head.
Sam slowed his movements, most likely relishing the feel of my pussy contracting around his thick shaft. But he held back and kept going.
“You’re not done yet, Lee. I can coax a few more out of you,” he urged, panting, continuing to claim every part of me, body and soul, until there was no doubt to whom I belonged.
Our passion burned deeply as we surrendered to the desire that had long built up. There was no restraint, no control, no worry about the consequences tomorrow might bring. We simply treasured the present and treated it as the gift it was.
Finally, Sam’s patience dissolved and he gave in to the intense need for release, powerfully shooting his load into the condom as he screamed my name and buried his head in my neck.
Completely satisfied, we snuggled together in total bliss aft
er the sexual performance of a lifetime.
“Thank you, Lee,” he whispered. “You were everything I’ve always dreamed of and more. Tonight is an experience I will never forget for as long as I live.”
“Of course neither one of us will forget,” I agreed. “You always remember the first time. But I’m already thinking of brilliant ideas for the second time, third time, and eighty-seventh time. I’m yours, Sam, and I’m not going anywhere. This is the start of a fantastic new journey and there’s no one I’d rather have at my side.”
He was mine and I was his. If anyone tried to stand in our way, I’d kill them with my bare hands or die trying. I’ve kissed enough toads to recognize a prince, and I’ll be damned if this one was getting away. I had no doubt that our shared experience was not simply one wild night of scratching an itch…this was someone I could be with forever.
I felt an aching need to make sure this look of pure contentment stayed on his face every day…and that I was the one to put it there.
Sam helped me climb into the sleeping bag, wrapped me protectively in his arms, and kissed me softly on the forehead.
“Goodnight precious,” he whispered sweetly.
As I drifted off to dreamland, I couldn’t help but confess the feeling that had now taken up residence in my heart.
“I love you, Sam…” I admitted softly.
Never in my life had I meant that phrase until now.
Chapter Twenty-Nine
Sam
With a feeling of dread, I frowned at the sunrise in complete and utter despair. The sun signified the beginning of a new day and the end of one of the best nights of my life. I would have to destroy everything that gave me happiness in order to move on and gain closure.
Slipping out of the warm blanket, I quickly got dressed and began to pack up our make-shift campsite.
“Get up, Leandra. It’s time to leave.”
“Hmm?” she mumbled groggily, sitting up and wiping the sleep from her eyes. So beautiful. It was no surprise she had a beaming smile on her face after the passion we shared just a short time ago. I felt like a complete ass for what I was about to do, but there was no way around it.
“We’re leaving. Get up and get dressed.”
“It’s really early, isn’t it? Why the rush? We have some condoms left over…”
“We have to leave now. There are places to go.”
“Oh, shit. You’re right. It’s Saturday. Chrissie has the farmer’s market where she sells her fruits and vegetables. I know she wanted me to go with to help her and meet some friend named Hannah.”
“No, we’re leaving. As in, leaving Kansas. The original plan was to make a cross country road trip to the ocean. It’s time to complete the mission and then go back to New York City. We have a long drive ahead of us. Let’s go.”
Unable to look her in the face, I continued to load up the truck and make sure the fire was safely extinguished.
“Why do we have to leave so suddenly?”
“Because I said so. We’re done here. Coming back to Kansas was nothing but a huge mistake. I’ve made one bad decision after another and I’m done wasting my time.”
I put the boombox in the back, followed by the now rolled up sleeping bag and the rest of our gear.
“What about last night?” she asked quietly while slipping into her jeans. “Was that one of your bad decisions?”
“That was the worst one of all,” I replied, taking one last look around and heading for the driver’s door of the truck.
“Oh, it was, was it?” she hissed, voice dripping with venom.
“Let’s face it, Leandra. You’re all about the chase. Once you get what you want, it’s time to go after the next big thing. You said it yourself…you weren’t made for commitment.”
“No, I wasn’t ready to be tied down to Shorty when I was a teenager. This is different and you know it, Sam.”
I shrugged my shoulders and climbed into the truck. This wasn’t going to go well, but I had no choice.
Leandra hopped inside and slammed the door, glaring at me.
“So, basically you’re calling me a man-eating whore. It’s nice to know you think so highly of me.”
“This is a cruel world, boss. Kill or be killed. All I did was end things before you beat me to the punch. It was inevitable.”
Yes, my words were harsh and callous, but they were necessary. I couldn’t be with her under these circumstances. Leandra deserves a real man. Not some jackass buried under his family’s debt, not a loser that won’t stand up to his ungrateful parents, and certainly not an employee that relies on her to sign his paychecks.
Okay, she pays me in cash under the table, but that’s beside the point.
Leandra shouldn’t settle for me. She’s a powerful woman that needs an alpha male capable of handling her strong personality. I can’t take care of her the proper way a man provides for his lady.
She eats caviar and drinks champagne.
I can offer bologna and tap water.
Why can’t she see that?
“Here’s what we’re going to do,” I coldly advised as we made our way back to the house. “You have five minutes to pack up your shit and then we’re leaving. It’s roughly a twenty-one hour drive to California, so we’ll have to make one more overnight stop. After we see the ocean, we can go back to New York late Sunday afternoon.”
“Whatever you want,” she replied icily, staring straight ahead.
“I’ll wait in the truck while you get your stuff. We can stop for breakfast in a few hours.”
“Aren’t you forgetting something? Such as saying ‘goodbye’ to your family?”
“No.” I had no desire to get another lecture from my parents. I also knew Chrissie would cause a major scene if I left on such short notice. That’s why I never told her last time.
“You would really just walk away and let her wake up and find you gone without a trace?” Leandra asked in disbelief, staring at me in shock. “What do you think would happen, asshole? The girl would burst into tears, somehow blame herself for your thoughtless actions, and then have to deal with yet another profound loss in her life.”
I shrugged my shoulders, forcing myself to bury the guilt and shame over hurting my sister.
The sooner that Chrissie realizes her brother is a flawed human being who makes mistakes instead of brave superhero that might save the family, the better off I’ll be.
The second we pulled up to the house, Leandra jumped out of the truck and bolted for the door. I tried to stay busy by unloading our gear from last night and putting it back in the barn. It had been no more than five minutes, when Leandra came back outside, Chrissie in tow.
“What’s going on, Sam?” she mumbled in confusion, still wearing her pajamas and fuzzy bunny slippers. “Lee said that you guys are leaving? Is something wrong?”
“We can’t stay here forever,” I explained, throwing up my hands in defeat and wishing I had a decent excuse for our sudden departure.
“It’s okay, sweetheart,” Leandra soothed, tucking a wayward curl behind Chrissie’s ear. “My job back in New York is pretty high stress and we can’t be gone too long or things will go to hell. Right now I need you to remember everything we talked about in the short time I was here, okay? Do you promise me that you’ll do what I told you if you ever feel the need?”
“Yes,” Chrissie insisted, instantly growing serious and nodding her head. “I promise. I’m just not ready for you to leave yet. I’ve had so much fun with you guys. This place really came to life since you got here and I’ll…I’ll miss you both.”
I knew that was a half truth. She’d miss Leandra far more than she’d miss me.
“We’re not taking a spaceship to Mars,” my boss insisted, putting her arm around Chrissie. “You know where to find me. Just remember what we talked about. I’m only a phone call away. We can do video chats whenever you want.”
“I don’t have an iphone, but I can probably find an app that will work,” Chriss
ie mumbled, tears beginning to pour down her face.
“Please don’t cry,” I begged, feeling like a massive piece of shit for doing this to her.
“I hope you’re happy,” Leandra muttered under her breath, staring daggers in my direction. “This is all on you, motherfucker.”
Chrissie threw herself at the woman and clung to her for dear life.
“I will save up every spare penny for a plane ticket to New York,” she sobbed. “I could sleep on your couch and pack snacks so my visit doesn’t cost too much. I won’t be a burden. I’ll only stay for a few days. Just to see you guys.”
Leandra closed her eyes and sucked in a deep breath. I had no idea what emotions were swirling around in her mind, but I figured a majority of them involved rage and helplessness.
At least, that’s what I felt.
Pulling herself away from my sister’s prying grasp, Leandra spoke from the heart.
“We’re family now, Chrissie, and nothing will ever change that. I need you to remember that. I’ll call you later, okay?”
Chrissie nodded, wiped her eyes, and gave me a long hug. I felt her whole body tremble as a fresh wave of sobs broke free.
Kissing her on the top of the head, I forced myself to walk away without looking back. I couldn’t go in the house and get a spare change of clothes. I couldn’t do it. There had to be a clean break.
Leandra gave my sister one last hug and then slowly made her way to the truck. After getting inside and letting out a sigh of unhappiness, she turned to me with a look of pure hatred.
“You did this, not me. I may have a dark soul, but at least I have one.”
No more words passed between us for the rest of the day.
Chapter Thirty
Leandra
Could you picture a better landscape than a breathtaking beach in California on a sunny day?
Probably not.
A fresh breeze gently blew the hair off my face, rays of sun beamed down bestowing their warmth upon me, and wave after magnificent wave crashed against the shore in a hypnotizing rhythm.
