Lilly V: Book Five

“Oh Nevy!” I let his hands go and wrap mine around his waist as I bury my face in his chest.
“I’m so proud of you.”
He wraps his hands around me, holding me tight as he kisses the top of my head.
We left the cottage, only after visiting the spot he buried his mother and later reburied his older sister. When I got back to the castle I was rushed into my bedroom to get dressed for the ball. The servants did a magnificent job on my hair. My curls were pinned in an elegant bun at my nape with tendrils hanging out around my face. It was very reminiscent of something a bride would wear on her wedding day. My dress was a dark purple, which I realized is Nevy’s favorite color. The strapless bodice hug my body tightly and cut just low enough to showcase my breasts. Though my milk had eventually dried up, my breasts were still full and I couldn’t help admiring them in the dress. The bodice of the dress was a mixture of dark purple and silver floral designs, but the bottom flowed out in a Cinderella design with it’s dark purple hue. I couldn’t help think of how much I looked like a bride in this dress.
When Drago, Phoenix, and Medina finally came for me, I was glad to see that they were dressed elegantly as well. Medina in a black velvet dress that put her curves on display. Drago seemed to be more appreciative than I was, because he couldn’t keep his eyes off of her.
As we stood on the outside of the great ball room, Medina stopped me before going into the room. She reached up and smoothed one of my curls back, fighting the wayward lock to stay in place.
At that moment I thought about Medina’s story. How she married an abusive man, and when she finally got free of him, someone took the only thing she cared about. I felt like now was a good time to test these new magical powers I was supposed to have. I touched her arm and her silver eyes turned to me.
“I release you from your brother-n-laws curse.”
Medina gasps and steps away from me. She looks down at herself. I know nothing would change because the witch cuffs she’s wearing keeps her young, but from the look on her face she could tell the difference. Then Medina did something I never would have thought she would do, she hugged me. It took me so much by surprise that I didn’t even hug her back. She quickly realized her actions and pulled away from me. She smooths a hand down the front of her black dress.
“Thank You!” She simply says before turning on her heels and walking into the ball room. Drago comes up beside me.
“What was that about?” His face scrunches in confusion. He missed the full exchange, only seeing the hug.
I shrug. “Just bonding.” I grab his arm. “Come on. Let’s celebrate.” I say as I walk into the ballroom with him.
Nevy finds me immediately and he is looking handsome in his top coat that matches my dress. He spins me around as he leads me to the dance floor.
I spot Oden and Karima in the crowd, and though they look a little uncomfortable, they seem to be having a good time. Karima notices me and waves. I wave back before Nevy clutches me in his arms.
“Do you like the decorations?” Nevy asks.
For the first time I stop to recognize the ballroom. Apparently, they hired a new decorator for this event. It is nothing like the frantic decorations of my redo middle school dance. Tall white candles burn in waist high candelabras around the room. Bushels of white lilies sit in glass vases on every flat surface. White roses are twisted into green vines that run like stripes on the ceiling. White table clothes are on all the tables. It is a beautiful sight.
“Nevy this is breathtaking. You didn’t have to do all this for me.”
He continues to sway me to the soft music without responding.
I laugh and dance for most of the night. If one were to look at me, they would have no idea I was broken inside. I appreciated all the effort that Nevy put into this so I was doing my best to smile. However, all I could think about is the devastated look on Assassin’s face.
How could he so easily believe that I didn’t love him? That thought has plagued me since that night. Assassin was a fighter by nature. So how could he give me up so easily? Was I not worth fighting for? Was my one mistake that bad that our love was no longer redeemable?
“Lilly?” I hear Nevy call my name from the middle of the ballroom floor. Everyone has turned to look at me. Apparently he has been calling me for a while.
“Lilly,” he calls again. “Will you come here?”
I push away from the dessert table I was leaning against and walk towards him. I scan the crowd for my friends. I knew none of these people would hurt me with Nevy standing here with me, but I still didn’t trust them. When I find Drago, he and Medina are standing with Oden and Karima. They all seem to be confused about what is going on.
I meet Nevy in the middle of the floor and he immediately takes my hand and brings it up to his mouth to kiss.
“Lilly,” he starts. “You are the most important woman in my world. You have taught me things about myself that I did not know. You have challenged me in many ways and shown me what it feels like to truly love someone.”
At this point my heart is pounding so hard in my chest it has blocked out any words he is saying. Oh God, Nevy don’t do what I think you are doing. Not here.
My fears come to full fruition when he gets down on one knee in front of me.
“Lilly, my beautiful human, will you marry me?”
OH SHIT!
Chapter Seventeen
“……will you marry me?”
I look up at the most beautiful girl in the world, waiting for her to seal this deal with me.
I didn’t know until the moment came that I really did wish for Lilly to want to marry me. After taking her to see my childhood home and to my mother’s grave, I knew that I had officially given Lilly what she desired. She needed to see me as that young damaged man that she believes I am. I won’t lie, everything I told Lilly was the truth about my childhood. My father put me through hell in that house, but that has shit to do with who I am now. However, I will do anything to win the heart of this woman. Even if it is pretending to be an injured little bitch boy that misses his mommy. I watch as Lilly’s eyes widen and then shine with unshed tears.
“Nevy, we need to talk.”
Her reply knocks the air from my chest.
“Talk?”
She looks around the room as if she’s embarrassed. What the fuck should she be embarrassed about?
I climb to my feet and run a hand over my short hairs. Ofilla was right. I was never going to win Lilly.
“All the things we did. All the time we spent. Did that mean nothing to you?”
She grabs for my arm but I snatch it away. I didn’t care about the pained look on her face. Fuck her pain.
“Of course it meant something to me. You know it did.”
“Then what, Lilly?” I roar at her. “I offer you my heart and my fucking kingdom. More than anyone else has ever given you.” I ignore her gasp and her tears. “Yet you turn me down. I LOVE YOU!” I scream the words so loud they echo back through the room. I can feel the veins in my neck pulsing with my heartbeat.
“And I love you, Nevy.” Her words are said with a sob. “But not the way I love him.”
I do not pause to think about my actions. My hand flies out and the back slams across Lilly’s face. She falls to the floor clutching her jaw. I spot Drago trying to approach. I call upon the darkness inside me. Ever since Lilly has been here I can feel my power strengthening. Black tendrils of smoke bellow out from my hand and wrap around the former dragon king.
His shouts of pain do not faze me.
“Stop it, Nevy. Stop it, please.” Lilly’s cries for her friend has no effect on me.
I didn’t want to believe that this wouldn’t go well. I had hoped that Lilly would want me as much as I wanted her. However, I am a man that always plans ahead.
I raise a hand to the guards I had strategically placed around the room. They step into place, closing all of the doors sealing everyone inside the room. The other guards grab
the two children and the witch and bring them to me forcing them to their knees. I pull away my darkness and Drago falls to his knees.
“I did it your way, Lilly. Now I will do it my way.”
Phillisius appears in the room, his blade at the ready.
“Either you will marry me in three days, or I will kill your friends. And if that is not enough of a persuasion for you,” I turn to Ofilla and the elf spy as they enter with my fool proof plan. “Then maybe this will be your encouragement.”
“Nooooo!” Lilly screams and her pain is etched in her voice.
For just a moment, my heart stutters. Watching her tears and her pain as Ofilla and the elf spy holds her sons, makes me want to relent. It makes me want to give her anything she asks just to see her smile again. But, then I think of her denial. I think of all that I have done for her and yet I am still not enough.
My face hardens and my heart turns cold.
“What will it be, Lilly? Should I have Phillisius start off by killing the boy,” I point to the orphan boy. “Or does my proposal finally look appeasing enough to you?”
With her head bowed and on her knees she whispers, “Yes!”
Even though it’s forced, I still feel the jubilation of her saying yes.
I turn to the crowd around us.
“She said yes!” I shout.
The crowd erupts in cheers.
I turn back to Lilly, she looks broken. The way her shoulders slump and her body shakes with her tears. I cannot bare to look at her so devastated.
“Take her to the dungeon,” I direct a few of my guards as they surround Lilly. “I think a few days down there will teach you to be a little more appreciative.”
The real reason I needed her in those dungeons is because if had to continue to see her look this way, I may do something stupid—like free her.
“What about my boys? Please Dark King, give me my babies.”
I flinch when she calls me Dark King.
“No! Your boys will be fine.” I tell her. “As long as you show up at midnight in three days.”
My guards grab Lilly up to her feet and escort her towards the door.
Drago struggles to get to his feet, but one of my guards slugs him in the face making him crumble back down.
“You can take these traitors to the edge of the borders and kill them.” I snarl down at Drago and the useless fucking witch.
“Lilly!” The orphan girl cries out as a guard yanks her up.
Ruckus goes up as Drago again attempts to fight for his freedom. Even the orphan boy is trying to fight. The girl is crying while Medina fights against a guard’s hold.
In the midst of all that, Lilly is screaming and crying. I turn away from them, done with this gods awful night.
“Drago!” I hear Lilly shout over all the commotion. “Drago!” She calls again. I turn around at the same time Drago turns to Lilly.
“I release you!” She simply says before she is ushered out of the room by my guards.
Release him? What the fuck is she talking about?
Suddenly, a loud roar erupts in my ball room followed by screams of terror. A fucking Dragon is standing in my ballroom.
Thick black scales that look like armor with sharp edges. Three large curved horns on its head that scrape the ceiling of my giant ballroom. Its wings stretch out and cover the entire room. It shakes its massive body as if it is stretching out after being bound for far too long.
When it opens its mouth to roar again, it shakes the walls of the castle.
“Ofilla, get those twins out of here.”
I don’t stop to think about why the safety of her sons is the first thing on my mind. Ofilla and the elf rush the boys out and I turn to deal with the fucking dragon.
“I want arrows in the air.” I yell to my soldiers and guards.
Arrows fly towards the dragon with no success. Those scales are protecting him. The dragon opens his mouth and I have just a few seconds to drop down before fire is flying over my head. When the beast closes its mouth and the fire stops I jump to my feet. The door to my ballroom opens and the ballistas roll in. The large arrows ready to unleash. The first one shoots and the dragon uses his massive wing to knock it away. The second one catches the beast in the side and the dragon roars. So he can be hurt.
“Fire more!” I shout.
The other ballista is loaded and hits the dragon in the chest. The dragon, realizing he can’t win in this tight space, lifts in the air. I didn’t want this creature free. I wanted it dead.
“Fire! Keep firing!” I shout.
They continue to shoot the heavy arrows, but the dragon deflects them. He opens his massive claws swooping down over the room. He lifts the witch and the two orphans into his claws then shoots his wings down, knocking us all to the floor before flying through the large window that shatters around us.
“AARRGGHH!”
How did this happen?
“Go after them!” Phillisius shouts to the idiot soldiers standing around us.
They rush out to chase the creature down.
I will not let Drago’s escape deter me. In three days I will marry Lilly. I won’t let anything fuck that up.
Chapter Eighteen
“Assassin, come join us!” The beautiful Elf with the sparkling brown eyes chant.
I sit in my newly purchased king’s chair in my bedroom, watching the pair make out on top of my black silk sheets. Their porcelain skin standing in stark contrast to the black sheets. Still, I can’t help but think of her. I see only her golden honey skin that is as smooth as the silk and compliments the black. I imagine her wild curls haloed around her head and that beautiful smile that has always excited me. All I think about is her. Yet, every time she comes to mind I get that same gutted feeling I did the night she destroyed me. So no matter how bad I want to join the two gorgeous elves on my bed—their pale pussies wet with need for me, I can’t. Not mentally. I glance down at my flaccid dick behind my trousers. And not physically.
I smile at the brown eyed beauty. “I’ll join you in a minute. Finish helping your sister.”
She smiles, then buries her fingers back inside her sister’s wet cunt.
This is how most of my day has gone. After killing the measly group of outlaws that attacked me in the Forbidden lands, I’ve gone to one bar after another to drink and fight. Neither has helped curb this feeling inside me. A feeling that I can only describe as sadness and anger. It’s as if the two has merged together to form one emotion. Since nothing else worked, I thought to fuck the feeling away. I picked these two up at one of my usual spots. So far, this plan seems to be a waste as well.
My attention is drawn to the door when I hear commotion outside of it. The door to my bedroom chamber slams open and Avalia, Bilal, Hyland, and Himrol rush in.
I turn back to the girls on my bed that are frantically covering themselves.
“What the bloody hell is going on in here?” Avalia shouts.
I don’t turn to her as I watch the girls on my bed.
“This is a private party,” I say taking a sip from my bottle of rice wine. “You need to leave, unless you care to join them, Avalia.” I turn to her with an eyebrow lifted.
I was being an ass, but I didn’t care. The others in the room gasp at my disrespect to the elven queen. Avalia’s entire face turns red and I can smell her arousal drift through the room.
Avalia is gorgeous. I’ve seen her trim body naked and it is fucking fantastic. Beautiful full tits tipped with rose colored nipples. The smell of her arousal smells like honeysuckles. I could bury my cock so deep inside her she would taste my come on her tongue.
“Enough!” Avalia growls catching my thoughts in her mind.
I ignore how her nipples have hardened and are poking out like arrows under her dress.
I smirk as I take another sip of my bottle. Even after the visual I got of sliding in and out of Avalia, my cock still does not stir. FUCK!
“Leave us.” Avalia demands to the girls.
>
Both females grab their clothes and trace away from my room.
“Is this what you’ve become? A drunk and a manwhore.” She snatches the bottle from my hands and I shoot to my feet to glare at her.
“Get the fuck out of my room!”
“No!” She places her hands on her hips. “We have a problem.”
I turn from her picking up my discarded shirt off the floor. “If it has to do with this war or that…..human. I don’t give a shit.” I snarl the words out.
I hear the gasp from behind me.
“You have given up on Lilly?” Hyland asks.
I can hear the disgust and disapproval in his voice. He has no idea what this feels like. The woman he loves is here safe and not in love with another man.
“Lilly gave up on me.” I turn to them. “She is where she wants to be. All of this was for nothing. You might as well send the soldiers home. No need to save her.”
“What are you talking about?”
I don’t have to explain, Avalia picks through my mind with ease. Before I could realize what she is doing she has seen everything. The dreams, the conversation with Lilly last night and she even witnessed my fall into this drunken sort of depression.
“Do not ever go through my head again.” I growl at her. “Unless you are willing to admit your secrets, Queen.”
With her back straight, Avalia says, “I do not believe her words.”
Funny, I thought so too at first. But not after all that I had dreamed and then she confirmed them.
I shake my head at her. “Get out!”
“Assassin!” she tries again.
“I SAID GET OUT!” I shove her as hard as I can and she tumbles into Bilal’s hands.
She and I are both shocked by my actions. I have never done anything like that to her. I’ve barely ever raised my voice at her. I’m losing my mind.
I turn away from her running my hands through my disheveled hair.
“If you won’t do it for Lilly, then do it for your boys.” Avalia speaks steadily behind me. “The twins are missing.”
This causes me to spin around quickly to face her.
