When it had gotten too cold on the terrace to cuddle under the covers, we migrated inside to the living room, and settled on the large sofa across from the fireplace. I held him in my arms and he lay over me, looking up at me as he played, raked his fingers through my chest hair, tugging and pinching my nipples. I enjoyed trailing my fingers down to the fine hairs leading down to his thick shaft. I took him in my arms and he leaned up to nip at my lips, and I bit at his dimples.
“I’ve wanted to do that from the first time I saw you looking up at me when I stood on those steps,” I admitted. “I wished I could take these dimples with me,” I said, tracing over one with my finger.
He placed his palm over his cheek, but I pulled his hand away and kissed one side of his face and then the other.
“You can’t have them without taking me. They’re a package deal. Everything you see here, goes when they go.”
I’d never wanted a man so much in my life and I couldn’t imagine him leaving me now that I’d found him. I gave out a nervous chuckle and stared at Dorian, wondering where I should start.
Looking into his stunning green eyes, I said, “Would you consider being my lover?”
Dorian pushed away from me. “When you were fucking me, you said we would be partners. You said there would be no hiding, you would tell your brothers and Annalisa that you wanted me. What do you think I am? Your slut where you hide me and don’t want anyone to know that we’re together. I have feelings too,” he barked.
“I didn’t mean it that way. I never know what to say to you, or how to say it. Around you I say some—”
“Stupid things?” Dorian added.
“Something like that.” I paused to collect my thoughts, and tried to rephrase my question. “If you don’t want to be my lover, will you marry me?”
Dorian shot up and turned to me, his hair messy and unruly, his mouth ajar, his swollen lips tipped up to the right in an unlikely smirk. He looked amazing. “Have you lost your mind? Do you think that’s any better? Are you just asking me to marry you because you think that will keep me hanging on?”
“No. I haven’t taken leave of my senses. I’m not a lunatic with mental issues, but at this moment I wish that was true. Maybe you would have more empathy for me with what I’m about to tell you. I’ll do anything. I’ll say it to the world that I’m gay if you’ll marry me.”
My large living area filled with silence, so much so that I didn’t think there would be space left for Dorian and me.
“I need time, Jeremy. What will Annalisa—”
“Don’t worry about her.”
Dorian glared at me, his eyes glowing with disbelief. “Your friends and family? It’s one thing to be your boyfriend, and another to marry you.”
“Annalisa doesn’t want to marry me.”
He leaned back, his eyes darkened and his lips curled into a scowl. “You asked her first, and now you’re asking me?” Dorian quickly rose, his feet hitting the hardwood floor. He stood over me his arms crossed over his chest, breathing hard.
I took his hand and hauled him back down on the sofa. “It wasn’t like that. I have so many things I have to tell you before you judge me. I must explain to you about how I have felt about you from the first day I met you. You don’t understand the shit that’s running around in my headspace.”
“I won’t know unless you tell me and tell me soon,” Dorian said. “I’m one step from walking out of here.”
“I have four brothers—”
“I wished I had brothers, or sisters,” Dorian said longingly.
“Let me finish.” Dorian raised an eyebrow, but the way it was going, if I’d stopped, I wouldn’t have time to tell him the whole tale, and I was afraid he’d leave once he found out everything. It was like medicine. You had to give it in quantities to keep from overdosing the patient. I had to give it to Dorian in small amounts, if I didn’t, he would think I wanted him for one purpose.
“I have this younger brother, Carter.” I began, and explained about his wife dying, then about my brothers and how they couldn’t accept anyone gay in the family, because of their political aspirations. I told him everything except about the baby and about Jack. I thought it was too much to lay on him now, so I omitted the most important parts. He had a curious look on his face when I suggested that I’d tell him everything in the morning, and that I was exhausted.
Dorian must have felt drained, too, because he agreed to go to bed after we’d showered. I held him as he lay in my arms and we both fell asleep. With what I had to reveal to him in the morning, it should have been me asking him to hold me.
WHEN I AWAKENED THE next morning with Dorian in my arms, I thought my life had taken a wonderful turn for the better. Here I was lying next to a man I wanted and needed, but didn’t have the courage to admit it before now.
I watched him sleep, pushed back a strand of his auburn hair, and leaned over him and kissed him on the forehead. Pulling back I stared at him. I kissed him again for being here when I needed him. I kissed him because he’d hugged me when I needed one, and now I needed a hug, because I didn’t know if he would want me after I’d told him about Jack, and about the baby.
“What are you doing up so early?” Dorian insisted.
“Looking at my handsome lover.”
He reached over to give me a warm inviting kiss, and ghosted his lips softly over mine.
“I hope you have an extra toothbrush.”
“That’s the least of your worries,” I answered with a sly smile.
“I know. A pair of underwear that fits. Your ass is more muscular than mine,” Dorian admitted. I reached for a pillow and tossed it at him. He laughed and placed the pillow on his chest and held it close.
“Yes, and yours is round, cute, and hard.” I grabbed him around his waist and lifted him on top of me, palmed both of his ass cheeks as he sat on top of my morning wood.
“Is that why you like my ass, because you think it reminds you of that other life?”
“No fucking way. I just like the roundness of that hard ass. There’s no way I could get the satisfaction I need from anyone’s ass but yours. I’ve never been that aroused from looking at an ass before. There’s nothing a woman, or man, has that you don’t have. You may even have more, because when I look at you and see your cock, I get hard and stay hard. When my erection brushes against your hard cock, I don’t think I’ve been as stimulated as I am now, or on that floor in your office. You make me want to live.”
Dorian hopped off of me and out of bed.
“Where are you going?” I questioned, palming my cock.
“To rob your fridge and make some coffee. We have about an hour before you take me home, and I’m going to get the coffee going. We don’t have time for me to sit on your face, and all that other nasty stuff you proposed doing with me. I have to go to work. I have designs to work on for this fucking hot client who asked me to marry him.” Dorian chuckled, then winked at me.
When Dorian reached for my robe, I said, “No. Let me put on the coffee and get breakfast. I know where everything is. You go take a shower. I’ll have a continental breakfast and coffee waiting for you. I don’t have to go into work today. I have someplace else I have to be early though. When I see you tonight, I’ll tell you all you need to know about me, and I want to know about you, and I mean everything.”
Once again I didn’t want to ruin my time with Dorian by telling him the truth. What was it Jack said about delay? “Delay compounds mistakes.” I had to gamble that nothing would happen between now and tonight.
I rose from the bed, grabbed a robe and slapped Dorian on his tempting ass. “Everything is in the bathroom. Shower gel and a razor. Although you can go without a shave. I think you look sexy with a light beard.”
“I think you look sexy and hot with whatever you do,” Dorian said, and he leaned in to give me a kiss. When we parted, I headed for the kitchen.
I had the coffee maker on and the coffee was dripping into the pot. I had yogurt, fr
uit and English muffins ready, music playing in the background, and I was singing along, “I will do anything for love, but—”
I heard a familiar voice, stopped singing, and froze.
“I hope that’s for me. I need a cup of coffee. You don’t know what a fucking hard time I had last night.”
“What are you doing here so soon?” I panicked.
“So soon? It’s six in the morning.”
“I asked you to stay away last night until today.”
“Newsflash. It’s today. Now where are your cups?” Jack said, walking to the cabinet, swinging the door open and looking inside. I stood to the side of him, my eyes closed for a second, and my mouth opened in shock. Oh fucking hell.
“You have to leave now,” I whispered when I could get my mind and mouth to work.
“Where the fuck am I to go? I gave up my hotel room two days ago and they didn’t have any rooms available. All the good hotels are booked up today. I had to sleep on a friend’s couch, because his parents were in the spare bedroom. I had to promise to leave early and so I did. That’s why I’m here now. I can’t get a hotel room in Seattle, because there are several conventions in town. I agreed to stay with you, remember?”
“I know, but things have changed,” I said, “You have to go now before Dorian gets out of the shower.”
“Dorian is out of the shower.”
We both stood, unable to move and unable to turn to face him. I had fucked up big time by not telling Dorian about Jack last night, and now I didn’t know how to make it right.
“Why didn’t you tell me, Jeremy, that you had a roommate, or maybe he’s a fuckboy you fuck on occasions?”
I turned to face Dorian in the doorway. He had one step in the kitchen, and also one step from turning and walking away from me. “Are you crazy? There’s no fucking way I have anyone, or want anyone but you.”
“Then who is this, Jeremy?” he questioned, his hand on his hip waiting for an explanation.
Jack had his back to Dorian, and he never said a word. He continued pouring his coffee and when his cup had filled, he turned around and locked eyes with Dorian. Dorian narrowed his glance as if studying his face.
“No fucking way.” Dorian barked, emphasizing each word. Then he turned to me, angrily biting his bottom lip as if I’d stabbed him in the back. Dorian’s eyes rose to meet mine. “Is there something else you forgot to tell me?”
He’d hit the nail on the head. Fuck yes.
“Dorian, this is my twin brother Jack. Jack, this is Dorian.”
“We’ve met,” Jack said, holding a cup of coffee, raising it in a salute, then he bit into the English muffin before he strutted in the direction of the hallway. His eyes never left Dorian’s and Dorian appeared mesmerized by his gaze as Jack strutted in his direction.
When Jack reached the door jamb, he pushed past Dorian, touching his shoulders lightly. Dorian stepped aside, turning to watch Jack saunter in the direction of his room.
Dorian turned to face me, his mouth ajar. He locked eyes with me and snapped, “Were you planning on a threesome?” Dorian was pissed, because of my omission about Jack.
“Now there’s a thought,” Jack joked with a smirk as he leaned with one hand holding on to the doorframe of the guestroom, peering back to the kitchen.
“Leave us, Jack. I need to be with Dorian. Alone.” I looked past Dorian, and Jack met my eyes, and I aimed a silent, “Don’t fuck this up, Jack.” I slanted my head in a gesture. Get the fuck back to your room. He knew when I meant business, and Jack turned and disappeared inside the guestroom.
I made a move in Dorian’s direction. He raised his hands and stepped back. “Now I know why you didn’t appear to know me. It was Jack at the hotel. It was Jack who brought me flowers.”
“Hear me out, Green Eyes.” I thought if I’d called him baby he would run. “Do you want a family?” Dorian narrowed his eyes. “I mean, do you want children?” My voice became hoarse, and I wasn’t sure if this was the right time to tell him about my child. But then, when would be the right time to ask a gay man to marry you and help raise a baby?
“What kind of fucking question is that?”
I approached him, one careful step at a time until I had him, his back against the breakfast bar, my arms caging him in as I leaned over him, our cocks colliding against the other with our hard early morning arousals.
I felt his heart race, saw his pupils dilate, and I knew he wasn’t pissed enough to leave me. He wanted me as much as I wanted him, because I felt his cock rear up.
Leaning in, I took his mouth hard, and he returned my kiss with the same strong intensity. Then he pulled away breathless and moaned into my open trembling mouth.
“No. Absolutely not. Under no circumstances do I want children.” I locked eyes with him. “How do you expect me to answer a fucking question like that? You’re not fighting fair.”
“All’s fair in love—” I brought Dorian closer to me and leaned in to kiss him.
Dorian opened his mouth and I offered him my tongue. He accepted it, sucking it and moaning into my mouth, before he pulled back. “—and war,” he protested breathlessly, biting my lip and sucking it.

Chapter 1
Jeremy
I can’t fucking believe it. I just fucked myself again with Dorian, I thought, as I pulled away from my apartment, driving him across town, hoping I’d have enough time to correct this shitstorm of a misunderstanding. I tried to catch a glimpse at him as I entered the morning traffic, wondering what he was thinking. Looking at his tight jaw and hands folded across his chest, there was no missing his state of mind. He’d been pissed at my lack of honesty with him about Jack and probably much more.
When I slowed the car to stop at a red light, I turned my head to take in his handsome face, his lithe body, and those beautiful green eyes reflecting in the glass. My heart pulsated, beating fast as need and desire for him surged through me, making me unbelievably hard. Dorian caught me staring at him, and I didn’t hear horns blowing.
“The light has changed,” was all he said to me. I wished he’d said that he’d forgiven me for my lack of judgement and we could move on from here. However, he remained quiet after that.
The silence between us was eating at my gut, his body next to me making my cock hard. I wanted to pull over on the side of the highway, lean over, suck his cock, and try to lessen the already-damaged relationship, use sex to make it better between us. Our relationship had never even got off the ground. The sex had been great with us, but I needed more than sex now to mend this fractured unlikely bond. I’d just come to terms with my sexuality, I’d just owned what I knew to be true about me, and having sex with Dorian had been freeing and I needed him, needed to be inside his body to keep me centered, keep me sane in this insane world.
I thought if I could just touch him, caress his length with my tongue, take it in my mouth one more time, swallow his warm length down my throat, he’d change his mind about me and listen for once, then everything would be better between us.
