“That’s because I’ve never been sure that you love me,” Austin admitted, his pale grey eyes boring inside me, reminding me of why I loved him the way I did. He’d been strong, yet when it came to me, I’d been kryptonite to him. He’d been far richer than Max, traveled in the circles of the powerful, had men wanting him to use them and control them, and yet he choose me out of all the others, and I wasn’t easy to deal with. I guessed I’d been as hard as any man with my arrogant nature, and quick to give my opinion, and even quicker to say no when I didn’t get my way.
For the life of me, I didn’t know why he’d tolerated me this long.
There was never anyone that could reach deep down into my soul and pull out what I needed. Pull out the calm, deliberate, caring man I’d been before I left for Afghanistan. No one but Austin was able to do that, and yet I’d fought him every inch of the way.
I’d returned from Afghanistan a complete wreck. Anyone else would have committed me to a hospital for the rest of my life. I’d married Austin, and he could have done that quite easily, but he never did.
He brought me to the best hospitals, to the best doctors, where many were his friends, and I’d known that they’d whispered to him, “He’s a waiting time-bomb. He could probably kill you in your sleep. And yet that wasn’t enough for Austin to divorce me, or leave me.
It was then he introduced me to bondage, and that was when he brought something out of me that no one could. It had been a natural progression. He’d tried this the first night we hooked up. I wasn’t up for BDSM when I dated him.
Finally he convinced me to try it, and when I did, it calmed me in ways I hadn’t experienced before. Yet, as he tied me up, punished me, and fucked me in all manner that I’d never experienced before—with power, force, and abuse as he shouted that he’d fuck the thought of Max out of me, that was what irritated me, and drove me away, because it had only been Austin. Only he was the man I worshipped, but he thought it was everyone else, every man who looked at me.
When I lived with Austin, I didn’t think of Max for a long time, because I’d found the love I was looking for, with him, and yet Austin couldn’t see this. Maxwell Gold consumed his thoughts, knowing that I’d submitted to him only once with one blowjob.
However, I’d submitted to Austin in more ways than any man like me could do. I was a top when I met Austin, I fucked men, some as strong and powerful as myself, but I let Austin make me his bottom and submissive because I loved him, and I wanted to please him.
It was true, I had fallen in love with Maxwell Gold the night I first met him, and I couldn’t break loose from his hold on me, even when he introduced me to Austin.
It wasn’t Max’s fault. It wasn’t anyone’s fault, least of all Max’s. He barely knew me, and he’d acted irrationally when he saw his then wife Paige fucking a friend in the garden of his parents’ home.
I’d followed behind Max and watched what he saw. I felt Max’s pain and anguish in watching that vivid, shocking scene. I felt the distress Max must have been going through at that moment, seeing a man hoist up Paige’s white wedding dress, a symbol of purity and innocence, and take her in a not so pure and innocent way.
Max and I watched the man pull out his cock with cum dripping from the slit, and wiped his dick on her white gown.
Reaching for Max’s hand, I pulled him away, as he stood there like a pedestrian watching a car wreck, unable to look away. He followed me as I led him behind the tall bushes in the garden and I went to my knees, as Max glared down at me, not understanding why he’d found himself with this man he’d known for a few hours.
I unbuttoned his pants and reached inside and brought out Max’s wonderful thick cock. Holding it tight in my fist while looking up at him, I stroked it once, placed it to my lips, and his length came to life, when at first it had been unresponsive.
Lifeless.
Dead.
Placing my mouth over his length, I grabbed his taut ass cheeks, held them as he forced his steel cock through my lips and down my throat. I sucked and sucked his length until I felt the warmth of his cum flow. I glanced up and watched Max’s eyes half-lidded, his head back and his fist wrapped tightly on a lock of my hair. He moaned with pleasure, rubbed the stubble on my face, and then he realized that I was a man, and he’d enjoyed every minute of what I’d done to him. I felt his hand when he pulled me up to my feet. His hands were warm, and there was flush on his cheeks and a peacefulness to his face as if he had a come to God moment. And I thought he had.
Nevertheless, Max quickly zipped up, glanced down at me and said, “I’m sorry.” And I responded that I wasn’t. He added, “Call me, because we need to talk.”
In my own stupid world I thought that I would be that man who would awaken and capture Maxwell’s heart, but it wasn’t me. Too much had happened in that time. When I enlisted to go to war, I thought I’d run away from Max and how I felt for him. I wanted to rid him from my headspace, but it was only Austin I ran from, and Max I’d forgotten.
Max had found the love of his life with Jami which I knew nothing about because when I came home it was to Austin and no one else. I went home to Austin only to discover that he’d had all kinds of lovers since I’d been away.
The very night I returned to Austin’s penthouse when my tour of duty was over, I walked in to find him in bed with one of his lovers. The man lay beside Austin nude, a collar around his neck, shackled to the bed by handcuffs, with Austin’s back to me with him holding on to a leather strap that had been connected to the man’s collar.
I knew Austin in the dim lit room because of his wide impressive shoulders, that small waist and his hard full ass, and those muscular thighs, long legs that went on forever.
“Jack. Jack,” Austin said, taking me out of those thoughts. Thoughts that were painful for the both of us.
“Don’t do this now. Don’t leave me mentally,” he begged, pulling me back to him as he responded to my accusations and my mindful defense for leaving him.
“I can stand you physically going away, but when you’re here, and you live in your own mind and shut me out, that I can’t bear. The last time you left me, you checked out completely and I thought you didn’t love me, and then I did all those crazy things to Maxwell because I imagined you would divorce me for him and I’d never see you again. I wanted to punish Maxwell for taking you from me. I thought you loved Maxwell Gold more than you could ever love me.”
“I would never had married you if I didn’t love you, Austin. Did you have to force me to marry you? No. I walked there of my own free will. It was your fucking insecurities that made me run from you, and I enlisted to get free of you. However, I made a mistake, and I’ll admit that. It was in that horrible desolate country that I learned who I really loved, and that’s why I came back to you. I became jealous and thought you’d replaced me with that man I found you with in your bed.”
“Jack,” Austin said moving closer to me. “You are the only man who understands me. You know what I need. I tried different men to replace the loneliness I felt when you left me. I did that to forget you, but I couldn’t. I searched at bondage clubs and wherever I could to find young men who looked like you, and I’d make them cut their hair like yours...” Austin raked his fingers through my hair, “...dress like you, but they weren’t you, and then I’d go on a wild search for you, Jack. Whatever city I got information that Maxwell Gold was at the time, I’d go off on a wild-goose chase hoping to find you.”
“I didn’t run to Max. I didn’t know that he’d married that delightful man, Jami, until Jeremy told me. I didn’t know where he was because I didn’t look for him—”
Austin placed his finger to my mouth and trailed it down to my nipple, pinched it to get my attention. It didn’t hurt because he knew I didn’t react to pain as most people did. I needed something more and Austin knew it. He knew what to do to stimulate me. Austin knew that it was pain that aroused me.
“I thought you were with Max, and had loved him in ways y
ou would never trust to love me,” Austin said, his voice quiet and calm as a devilish twinkle settled in his eyes. I knew that look. He’d been right about Max at first, but it was a misplaced love of a foolish young man.
“I tried to tell you too many times that it was over between me and Max. You ignored my words. You didn’t want to believe me even as I gave myself to you in ways I’d never give to any man, not even to Max. I became your boy, your slave, your bottom, and still you refused to see what was right in front of you... I loved you more than I loved myself. My only devotion was to you.”
I placed my palms on both sides of Austin’s gorgeous face. I felt and heard his breathing intensify. I kissed his lips and pulled back.
“You never understood that Max and I were friends, and we only had that one night together on his wedding night. It was before I met you. It was a fortuitous night where we both found what we had needed—I wanted to know if a man like Max would find me desirous, and he perhaps needed to know that anyone, man or woman, could make him feel something that night when he could feel nothing but outrage and coldness.
“When Max realized that he’d made a mistake marrying Paige, he opened up his heart and met the man of his dreams, and he’ll never let Jami go, and I know that. I don’t want to spend my life chasing a dream when I have my dream here with you, Austin. When you meet that one person you’re destined to be with, why fuck that up?”
“I’d never let you go, Jack. And I promise you that I’ll never fuck up again. What you’ve given me, no one has ever been able to match. You’ve given me your obedience, desire, and love now. That alone ignites me. I’m filled now with unrestrained sex and love. I never found that in any man but you,” Austin insisted, as he walked me backwards to the bed, his eyes never leaving mine, then I lay down and he cuffed me to the bed, my left wrist and then my right.
“Are you comfortable, my pet?”
“Yes, Master.”

Chapter One
Max
MAXWELL GOLD HAD IT all... until he didn’t. He was born into a wealthy family where he would inherit his father’s company—one of the prestigious investment banks, headquartered in Manhattan with branches in Tokyo, Great Britain, and Germany.
The CEO of the company, he presided over banks and hotels, real estate, and much more. Max, as he liked to be called, married a woman he went to high school with, and at the insistence of his elderly father, who could bark out a lecture about the ethics and principles of being married.
Maxwell as his father referred to him, and the board of directors of the company dared call him behind his back, hated that name. He much preferred Max, but no one had referred to him as Max since grade school and college.
Two years ago, Max had stood in Maxwell Senior’s office and heard the following lecture:
“You have to be settled, Maxwell. If you expect me to hand over my interest in this company. I need you with a clear head—and the only way that’s possible is for you to stop drinking so much and settle down and fuck one woman. Hopefully your wife,” Max Senior said, pointing his finger at Max as he stood at the door, preventing Max from walking out on his speech.
The old man, Max Senior. continued his tirade. “I know what it is to be a young man.”
Max raised an eyebrow, placed his hands in his suit pockets, and strode with his long legs over to a window overlooking the Manhattan skyline, to glance out of the nearest window, and exhale. The thought of his father being a young man—ever—was a joke.
Really? For fuck’s sake, Father, you haven’t been a young man for years, and I doubt if your dick ever got hard around anything but your money, Max thought. He couldn’t wait to get rid of Maxwell Senior, and get on with his day of drinking and working his ass off so he didn’t have to go home.
It was the same lecture his father gave him even after he married. The only difference now, Max didn’t give a fuck anymore, and when his father ventured down that rabbit hole, he would walk out as he did today.
Max would work and play until all times of the night, and this was one such day for that. He relished working, drinking, and then driving his cars and motorcycles he stored in a garage owned by his company. He didn’t know what he liked more, hanging out with the boys drinking or riding his motorcycles with them at breakneck speed around Manhattan during the early-morning hours.
And then there were the women. He couldn’t pass an ass he didn’t want to claim. Especially if it was tight, shapely, and round.
When Maxwell Gold Junior trooped into his office after visiting with his father, he glanced around and thought about all the nights he’d wasted, all the time he’d squandered in his life, trying to conform to his father’s wishes and to his family’s expectations. He marched around, taking stock of his vast office with its fancy decorations—the hunter-green curtains, the mahogany desk, and the expensive pens fit for a bygone era. His father’s era.
He sat at his desk, placed his feet up, and crossed his ankles, stretching his legs out on the desk he had so much disdain for. Then he leaned forward, placed his feet on the floor, and with one hand, he made a quick movement, sending the pictures of his wife and all the crap lined up to give the appearance of a man in control of his life, falling to the floor. The truth was he wasn’t in control of dick. Not even his own, for that matter.
Just hours before seeing his father, he had been fucking a gorgeous woman. However, it had taken hours before he could get his cock to perform, and he didn’t know why. Well, that isn’t actually the truth, Max thought. He knew why. This wasn’t what he desired or wanted. Maybe he wanted what his father had suggested—to be home at night fucking his beautiful wife.
At twenty-eight, he didn’t know what the fuck he needed, but after careful thought, Max knew it sure wasn’t fucking his wife.
Max wanted and needed something different. Something that would have him hard for days and keep him hard through his marriage of two years. The marriage that had been sanctioned by his father. To the wife who had been selected by his father.
He would never hand over his company to a gay man even if he was his son. And that’s why Maxwell Gold—with all his money and all his toys and cocky attitude—chose to suppress his desires and conform to what his father wanted from him—a straight man married to a beautiful woman.
