Ghostly Trails

Peter followed Luke and Alice out. Snores was gathering everything he’d dropped and stuffing it back into his wallet.
Zoey turned to Hope and held out her hand. “We did it.”
Hope accepted Zoey’s handshake. “We sure did. Made pretty good partners, I guess. We each came up with half of the puzzle.”
Zoey nodded. “Once we put our differences aside and combined our puzzle pieces, voila! Maybe we should work together more often.”
But Hope was already heading toward the door. “I’ve got to get back to work. Can you guys walk home?”
Zoey sighed as she watched Hope walk away. It appeared as though their truce was over.
She shrugged. Whatever. It was fine with her if their relationship returned to its previous contentious state. It wasn’t as though the two of them were going to need to work together to solve a mystery again anytime soon.
The End
THANK YOU FOR READING Ghostly Trails. If you enjoyed it, I’d really appreciate if you’d leave a review. It helps others find the book and allows me to know which series to invest time into writing more books.
If you enjoyed this prequel novella, you can get the first book in the series, a full-length novel, here: A Bottle Full of Djinn:
ZOEY RIVERS HAS A PRETTY great job as Head of Staff at Sunnyside Retired Witches Community. She's good at handling the magical messes that are part and parcel of providing a home for elderly (and some slightly senile) witches.
But when the messes turn from slightly sloppy to hugely horrible, Zoey realizes there's more involved than just her residents.
If she doesn't figure out who's causing havoc at the Community, the place might not be standing for much longer.
If you love crime capers with magic, mayhem, and mystery, you'll adore Zoey Rivers and her comical crew of witch retirees.
