“Tavek. Goody. I thought you’d be in the bath longer,” Caldric said.

“Nah. Finished up a few minutes ago. Well hello there!” the dwarf said, pushing into the seat beside Caldric, shoving the man aside until he was forced to make room. “And who might this lovely one be?”

“Faylana,” the elf said. “Oh, are you Caldric’s friend?”

“Indeed I am! Tavek’s the name. Mighty and skillful dwarven warrior. Lovely to meet you.”

Faylana giggled, taking his hand and shaking it shyly. Caldric bit his lower lip, flushing a little.

“So what’s my friend Caldric been telling you about?” the dwarf said, lounging back in the chair with a confident grin. “Did he tell you about how we’re a pair of spectacular adventurers?”

  Her eyes widened. “You are?”

“Oh yeah,” Caldric butted in. “We just came back from a mission, actually. Just collected our pay. It was a tough one. Fraught with danger.”

“Aye!” Tavek said abruptly. “We fought ah… a buncha cruel, savage beasts! Likely saved the town we did.”

  “Oh wow,” she breathed.

Caldric tingled with her earnest awe. It almost made him feel bad about lying. But then he caught a glimpse of those heaving breasts. Those parted, soft lips, and lying became an awful lot easier.

“Very much so. I actually slew their leader,” Caldric said.

  “You did?”

“Oh, well, uh, maybe. But I did in the biggest of the lot,” Tavek broke in.

Faylana’s eyes switched between the two rapidly. “Gosh!” she giggled, blushing. “Um, I feel so out of place. And you two wanted to talk to me?”

“Oh aye!” Tavek said. “Such a lovely elf deserves the attention from ah, conquering heroes.”

  “I do? Why?”

“Because we want you to join our party!”

The words slipped out of Caldric’s mouth before his brain could catch up. Stunned silence engulfed the table at that, not the least was Caldric’s, whose mouth hung open in startled wonder.

“Aye!” Tavek suddenly broke in. “That we were. We could always use a… um…”

  “A witch,” Faylana said.

“Yes! That. We could use someone such as you with us. And I’m sure we’ll be able ta teach you lots about the world. And we could learn about elves and how you, ah, do things. Eh?”

Caldric flushed with frustration at the way that Tavek openly ogled the shapely elf, who seemed utterly ignorant of the dwarf’s licentious stare. “Will you?” Faylana gasped, clasping her hands before her generous chest. “That’s so sweet of you!”

“Sure is, lass! And if you need a room, you can share mine. Sure as shoot there’s room enough in the bed for us both.”

“That’s very nice of you, but I actually already got my room. And I don’t think he’ll be giving me a refund.”

  “Ah, pity.”

She smiled, and Caldric felt his heart throb. “Thank you both. I really appreciate it.”

“Oh, think nothing of it,” Caldric said.

She giggled, rising. “Well! I better get a good night’s sleep if I’m going on a real adventure tomorrow. See you then!”

Both Caldric and Tavek leaned out of the booth to watch her go, her cloak not at all enough to hide the swell of her soft rump as it swayed with her stride, their stares only breaking when she made her way up the stairs and out of sight.

Tavek gave a low whistle. “Gods of stone and fire! She’s a beauty.”

  “Hey, watch it,” Caldric said.

“What? I’m only saying what any man with eyes knows,” the dwarf said, spreading his hands.

  “Just… just stop.”

“If ya say so. Smart thinkin’ on that adventurer line, though. But we’re gonna have to do better than bloody rats if we want it to hold up.”

Caldric sighed and shrugged. “Well, we weren’t getting anywhere as the neighborhood pest control anyway. We’ll go to the burgomaster tomorrow. See if there’s something more… heroic on call. Couldn’t hurt, and about all we’ve got.”

“Good thinkin’! And if we impress the lovely gal, there’s that too.”

“Yeah,” Caldric said, looking longingly at the stairs. “That too…”

  Morning Lessons

Faylana moaned and stretched as she rose. Goddess! What a beautiful day. She beamed with happiness as she dressed, binding up her firm breasts in her robe and combing her hair, humming a tune as she straightened the tangles of sleep. She tucked the comb back in her bag and rose, brushing back her hair. Time to face the day!

Just as she opened the door she saw Tavek climbing the stairs, the dwarf beaming with pleasure, his beard once more faintly damp and thick with water from another visit to the bathhouse. When she saw him she gave an eager wave. “Tavek!”

The dwarf turned and grinned at her. “Ah! Faylana. Good to see you. Sleep well?”

“Barely!” she giggled. “I could barely sleep, dreaming of our first adventure. Do you know what our job is?”

“O-oh aye! Ah, that is, me and Caldric’ll be heading down to the burgomaster this morning to see what’s about. They know us very well, there. It’ll be a snap, mark my words.”

Faylana put a hand to her chest, her breasts heaving with excitement. “Oh gosh. I can’t wait!”

Tavek laughed as he swayed over to her and wrapped an arm around her waist. Faylana smiled happily down at the dwarf, giggling as his hand gave her plump bottom a slight squeeze. “Don’t you worry, lass. I’ll get you an adventure to tell your people back home about. Mark my words.”

“Oh thank you!” Faylana beamed. Then gasped as his hand stroked her rear. “Oh, um. Tavek, your hand. It’s um…”

“Ah, that. Sorry, lass. You taller sorts are a little tough to be friendly with. I always used to wrap an arm around my friends back home.”

  “You did?”

“Oh sure! It’s just being friendly. Sorry, but I can’t quite reach your shoulders to do the same.”

Faylana nodded. She had seen some humans with arms around each other’s shoulders. She was touched that the dwarf was being so friendly with her. “Thank you, Tavek,” she said. “I’m already feeling like a part of the group.”

“Oh, we’ll make it happen, lass,” Tavek said, massaging her soft rear through her robe. “I’ll be sure to make ya feel welcome.”

Faylana giggled again. “I’m off to grab breakfast. Is Caldric awake?”

“Oh, right. Uh, don’t think so.”

“Do you need him to meet the burgomaster?”

“Right. Yes. For the… job. Right. Suppose I should go grab him…”

Faylana smiled at the dwarf as his arm withdrew, the stocky man reluctantly leaving. She was sorry to see him go. He was such a friendly man. Her stomach gave a low growl and she recalled the reason she’d gotten up early.

She fairly skipped down the stairs, her breasts bouncing on her chest. The common room was empty but for the tavern keeper, who watched the giggly elf descend closely. “My my!” he said, grinning. “Looks like someone is happy.”

Faylana giggled again. “Is it that obvious?”

“Nah. I’ve got an eye for these things,” he said, his eye moving up and down her. “Tell you what… you look a little dirty from the road. How about using the bathhouse? Free of charge.”

“Really?” Faylana said. “I mean, I wouldn’t want to impose…”

“Not at all! Here. I’ll show you to it.”

Faylana beamed as she followed Esven into the back and through the small, side entrance into the bathhouse. Humans were so nice! She wondered why the elders had been so worried about her going off on her own. The outside world was just filled with such helpful people!

She gasped at the sight of the steaming copper tub, clapping her hands with delight. “Oh! How civilized!”

“Thank you,” Esven grunted, eying her up. “Why don’t you get undressed?”

“Oh. Are you going to leave?”

&nbs
p; “No,” the pudgy innkeeper said, grinning. “It’s uh… proper etiquette for the owner to help his guests wash. Yeah. It’s tradition around these parts.”

“Oh. Very well,” Faylana said. What a nice tradition. Ignorant of the hot eyes of the innkeeper Faylana pulled off her cloak, her shirt, her pants. She started as she felt rough hands on her hips, touching her panties.

“Here. Let me help with that… Part of the service…”

“Oh. Okay,” Faylana said. She shivered at the sensation of those leathery palms on her sensitive skin, sliding her panties down, revealing her soft derriere. She gasped as he touched her breasts, his thumbs teasing the rim of her bra. “O-oh!”

“Sorry,” Esven panted hotly. “Buckle is… difficult…”

It must have been, because Esven spent almost five minutes trying to undo it. It would be rude to protest, so Faylana kept silent, biting her lip to stifle the moans as his hands fondled, engulfed, and massaged her soft tits. Not to mention how he pressed up against her back, the bulge of his cock rubbing against the crease of her ass. She didn’t say anything, of course. She didn’t want to make him feel awkward, after all. And he was trying to be so helpful.

At last, though it seemed more by accident than design, the clip of her bra gave way, the fabric falling from her tits.

“Mmm. Um, Esven? You ah… got the bra off.”

“Oh,” he said, his breath hot, voice begrudging. “So I did…”

Smiling, she patted his hand even as she slipped out his grasp. “Thank you. I really appreciate the help.”

“Uh, yeah. No problem,” Esven grunted, his eyes devouring her pale curves as she brushed her hair back. She smiled prettily at him, and stepped over the rim of the tub, her parted legs giving him an unrestricted view of her quim and its thatch of blonde hair before she sank into the warm waters with a contented sigh.

She felt more than saw Esven come closer. She also smelled him. He had a thick scent. That harsh musk of sweat mingled with the sour alcohol from the drinks he served everyday.

  “Now, about my repayment…”

“Repayment?” she asked, her eyes opening. “But, you said…”

“Oh, not money. No no no. Our people consider it uh, rude to pay money for such things. It’s gratuity to pay in another way…”

She turned her head, staring in surprise. Esven had opened the front of his pants, his chubby cock hanging out.

“O-oh,” she said. “Well, if it is traditional…”

  “Very traditional,” Esven said, panting.

She couldn’t very well argue with human tradition. And she did so want to make a good impression. Smiling up at the portly innkeeper, the lovely elf leaned forward, parted her soft lips, and took his hardened cock within her mouth.

“Oh,” Esven groaned as her heavenly lips slid up and down his shaft. “Oh s-sweet gods…”

Faylana hummed. This wasn’t so bad. His cock tasted thick and different. Slightly unpleasant, yet she found that strangely fascinating. She did want to do it right though, so she lifted her hand out of the water and cradled his heavy balls, rolling them in her fingers.

  “Oh fuck girl! Ooooh!”

His thick hands grabbed her head, holding her tight as he began to plunge his meaty cock into her mouth. Faylana moaned. She must be good at this! He was really enjoying himself. She smiled happily, looking up at him through her dark lashes, barely able to see his face lit up with ecstasy past the bulk of his gut.

“Fuck girl. They must…teach you elves some special skills. Oh fuck. Fuck! Yessss!”

He came, spurting between her lips. His seed was hot and plentiful. Faylana moaned, swallowing his cum, the bitter taste sliding down her throat, settling as a warm lump in her stomach.

  “What the fuck!”

Faylana glanced aside to find Caldric standing in the open door, the handle still in his hand. Faylana pulled her lips off Esven’s cock with a gasp. “Mmm! Don’t worry,” she giggled. “Me and Esven were just performing a local custom.”

  “A what?” Caldric said.

“You know,” she said, smiling happily, gently stroking Esven’s spent cock. “The one where, if someone does you a favor, you suck their cock. That one.”

“Oh,” Caldric said, his smile brittle as rusted steel. “Of course. That one. Did you enjoy it, Esven?”

  Esven grinned. “Yeah,” he said.

  “Good,” Caldric said sweetly.

Then decked the man in the jaw.

Esven hit the ground hard. Faylana gasped, pulling herself up the rim of the rub and looking down at the insensate innkeeper. “Oh my goddess! Why did you do that?”

“Why? Faylana, he lied to you. There’s no custom like that! He just wanted you to suck him off!”

  “He did?”

  “Yes!”

  “Oh…”

Caldric stared, flabbergasted at the lovely elf. “You really didn’t know?”

Faylana shrugged. “Well, things are different in the groves. We have many fertility rituals. Just taking a man’s cock in my mouth? Goodness, that’s nothing compared to the Spring Rites.” She giggled. “Some of the vested can’t walk right for weeks!”

“O-oh,” Caldric said, imagining the obscene rituals of the elves in moonlit woods.

“Oh, but, I am really grateful, Caldric,” she said, rising from the bath. “I had no idea! How mean of him.”

“Uh… Uh huh,” Caldric said, having momentarily lost the ability to speak as the shapely elf stood in the tub, sudsy waters flowering over her curves like the waterfalls of some hidden paradise, outlining soft, curvy breasts and a tight, squeezable rump.

Which was nothing compared to when she stepped out of the tub and gave him a hug.

His brain misfired. His eyes practically rolled into the back of his head as her shapely breasts were mashed against his chest.

“Thank you so much, Caldric. Really. I mean it.”

  “Uh…um… Y-yeah. Y-you’re w-welcome,” he gasped. “We uh… we’ll m-meet you outside.”

“Of course,” she giggled, releasing him from her soft embrace.

Caldric turned, staggering like a gnomish automota out the door, shutting it behind him. Faylana smiled happily as she began to dry herself.

  Such a nice young man.

  The Quest

“There you bloody are!” Tavek growled when Caldric finally reached the burgomaster’s hall. The dwarf sized up his companion. “What happened to you?”

Caldric came to himself at the dwarf’s sharp tone. “Oh, just… the bathhouse. Esven was… was taking advantage of Faylana.”

  “He was!” the dwarf said.

“Yeah,” Caldric said, shaking his head. “He told her sucking his cock was a local custom.”

  “And she believed him?”

Caldric shrugged, shaking his head in bewilderment. “I guess.”

  “Interesting…”

Caldric gave the dwarf a sharp look. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

“Hm?” Tavek said, glancing up at the human. “Oh, nothing. Nothing at all. Come on. Let’s get this over with.”

Caldric narrowed his eyes at the dwarf’s back, but after a moment sighed and followed the dwarf inside the building.

The hall was typically bureaucratic. Bookcases stuffed with leather bound ledgers filled the walls and piled on the desk dominating the room. The desk was tall, practically a podium, atop which a mousy man with large, thick glasses sat among the towers of papers and laboured on whatever forms needed filling out. Numbers to be considered. Tithes to be payed.

He barely paid attention as both Caldric and Tavek walked up to the counter. His pen only stopped scratching when Caldric loudly cleared his throat.

“Yes?” the burgomaster said without looking up.

“Yes, hello. We are a pair of adventurers looking for a job.”

The man raised his head at last. His eyes were huge, magnified by his glasses and looking down on the pair like a researcher through a micros
cope. The turn of his lips showed he wasn’t terribly impressed.

“Is that right? Look around town. I’m sure there’s a few jobs for… people such as you.”

“Bugger that!” Tavek barked. “We’re through doin’ the village chores!”

“Who said that?” the burgomaster said.

  “Me!”

The burgomaster leaned forward onto his desk, peering over the edge where Tavek stood, frowning and arms crossed.

“Oh. A dwarf,” he said before resuming his seat. “I’m sure the privvies need cleaning or something.”

  “Hey!”

“Look, isn’t there anything else?” Caldric said. “We’re never going to get anywhere just killing rats.”

The burgomaster sighed that sigh of bureaucrats everywhere when someone has failed to properly fill out the forms. His hand groped atop one of the piles of documents and retrieved a slip of paper. “Here,” he said, shoving it across the desk. “Two farmers have complained about their daughters going missing. Seems they think they were kidnapped. See the symbol there?”

“Yeah,” Caldric said, looking at the strange, swirling design bound in a ring.

“Had that written under the beds of both girls. Then, two nights ago, a third went missing. The farmers think they’ve been abducted by a cult or something.”

“Ha! More likely they ran off with a bard,” Tavek said.

  “Obviously,” the burgomaster sniffed.

“This doesn’t seem that important,” Caldric ventured.

“It’s not. That’s why I’m sending you both.”

“How kind of you,” Caldric said dryly.

“You’re still here?” the burgomaster said, his pen already resuming its scratching on the parchment.

Caldric glowered, but did turn to go, his hand clamping on Tavek’s shoulder and dragging the fuming dwarf with him.

“Bloody ink drinker!” Tavek barked once they were back outside.

“Calm down,” Caldric said, inspecting the bounty they’d been given. “This is as good a chance as any. If we can find the girls, we’ll at least be on the right track to getting better jobs. And the pay is already well worth more than hunting rats.”

“Ha! What rewards can farmers give? A sack a potatoes and a hearty handshake? Bah!”
