Dragon Hunted

But I was ready. I’d learned what I came here to learn. I knew who I was, and now had an idea of what I was capable of.
But what would I choose to do with that knowledge? How would I fit in among other Idrians now that I understood my power?
And how could I be both Kirasha-Li-Tairen and Kira Everleigh?
I didn’t know yet, but I wasn’t giving up.
All I had to do first was find my former guardian, rescue the High King of the Fae and his son, and depose the evil Fae Queen.
While making sure my bookstore stayed running, my gargoyle stayed clothed, and my pets didn’t eat each other.
And while wishing desperately that I didn’t have to do those things alone. But just as I’d told myself when Draven came back for me, we had a lot to work out. His touch might make me crazy, and his kisses made me pretty much incoherent, but could we work together? Could we forge a relationship from this tentative beginning we shared?
There was no way to know. But I hoped.
And no matter what happened, I would never be truly alone again—I had family, both by choice and by blood, who would always have my back.
They would support me even in a fight, and a fight was exactly what I was planning.
It was time to fight for the future I wanted. Time to take this battle to the ones who’d made this mess in the first place—the dragon who called herself Morghaine. The High King of the Fae. And Elayara Elduvar.
They had better be watching, because the bronze dragon was coming for them.

Acknowledgments
This book was partially written and edited from quarantine. Even now, as I write this while isolated at home, I wonder what the world will look like when we get to the other side. How much will have changed? How will I have changed? Why am I even bothering with dragons and magic and fae when life is this hard for so many people?
But the one thing that I believe won’t ever change is how much we need stories, both true and imagined. Sometimes we need that moment of escape, that little surge of hope, that comes with living in another world even for a brief time.
So while it’s harder than ever for many of us who write and create, I feel that it’s more important than ever to keep moving forward—to keep doing whatever we can to make the world just a little brighter, one story at a time.
So thank you, to everyone who creates beauty and shares it with the rest of us.
Thank you to our real life heroes on the front lines of this war.
Thank you to everyone who has helped a neighbor or a friend in need.
And thank you for reading. I hope this book has made your day even just the tiniest bit better.
