“Open your eyes,” he whispered into her ear.
Her fingers went to her neck as she opened her eyes. A black wolf now lay on her collar bone, holding a sapphire in its mouth and sporting a pair of emerald eyes.
“I came across a talented jeweler on Gildaire and bought a few pieces from him. This piece, however, I especially requested to be made just for you. Do you like it?” he asked as he knelt before her.
Es smiled at her mate, feeling more love for him each day. “I love it. It’s beautiful. Thank you.” She bent over and kissed him. She placed one hand on his shoulder and the other on his cheek.
He placed one hand behind her head and helped her stand with the other. He deepened the kiss. Their breathing became ragged and he broke the kiss. He kissed the corner of her mouth and continued with small kisses along her jawline and down her neck. She gripped his hair and held him to her, not wanting him to stop. He traced his kisses back up her neck and along her jaw back to her mouth. She felt his tongue enter her mouth, tasting her. She wanted more. They had been kept apart for fat too long. Es slid her tongue along his, tasting him as she entered his mouth.
When they broke the kiss, they were gasping for air. Her body needed more, craving it. He stepped back and removed his jacket before he returned to her and his mouth captured hers with a hunger. His hands roamed along her back and rested on her hips. Hers were equally busy. She let her hands run up and across his chest and down his abdomen. She could feel his heat, her own body temperature rising.
Es pulled away from his kiss to remove his shirt, but she couldn’t get it to come up. He laughed softly and stepped away to remove his pants, revealing a body suit. She giggled a little at the sight of him. While he struggled to free himself, she removed her dress. He watched her move to the bed as he tried to remain standing to free his legs from his body suit. Es had never seen a naked man before, but her mate stood before her in all of his dark, muscular glory.
Es sat on the end of the bed and crawled backwards so as to not break eye contact with her mate. Once he had finally removed his suit, he crawled onto the bed over her and resumed his consummation of her mouth. He carefully laid down on her, covering her body with his own. His hands slid up her arms and to her shoulders. She wrapped her arms around him and slid them up and down his back. He moved along her jaw and down her throat, kissing along her shoulder and followed her collar bone to her other shoulder and up her neck back to her mouth.

A Secret Revealed
Relik had been in hiding ever since he had to escape Able. Now among other less-than-savvy characters, he had been trying to surround himself with guards once more. A shiver ran down his spine and he glanced around the bar to find the source of his discomfort.
A pair of green eyes stared at him. Thinking his daughter’s mate had found him, he quickly rose to his feet. Before he could move ten feet from where he had been sitting, a hand on his shoulder spun him around.
Relik had his dagger at the ready, but hadn’t expected the young man to block it. He stared at the boy and blinked in confusion. He was staring at himself. Well, a younger me, anyway, he thought.
The young man spun Relik back around and directed him through the crowd, out of the bar and into the alley. Once they were alone, the boy removed his hood.
Standing before Relik was a mirror of himself from his youth. Tall, white hair, gleaming green eyes and pale skin.
“What do you want, boy?” he said gruffly.
“I want to join you, father,” the young lad replied.
Relik took a step back in surprise. He had only thirteen children, none of which looked like him. He glared at the man and asked, “How am I your father?”
“I knew you would ask,” the young man smiled. “My mother is Lina Dipalli, from Gildaire.”
Relik’s eyes widened at the mention of the woman’s name.
“Oh? So you do remember my mother, after all?” the man said as he took a step closer to Relik.
Relik continued to step back until he was against a wall. The man was standing a foot from him before he leaned over, putting his face so close to Relik’s he may as well kiss him. I rather he didn’t, Relik thought.
“You may have abandoned me, father, but I will not abandon you. You may have forgotten about your family, but we haven’t forgotten about you,” the man smiled as stood.
Relik licked his lips as his eyes darted back and forth, looking anywhere but at the man in front of him.
The young man grabbed Relik by the chin.
“You will look at me, father. After all, I look just like you. Mother says so every day.”
Relik finally looked into the young man’s piercing green eyes.
“What do you want?” Relik asked as he licked his lips again.
The young man smiled. “You want your family to be together, right? All of us?”
Relik nodded.
“You especially want little sister Revlis, right?” the man asked, releasing Relik’s chin and taking a step back.
Relik squinted at him and gave a slight nod.
The man smiled. “I have seen my little sisters. Quite the pretty little flowers, aren’t they?”
Relik remained silent.
“I can help you get them back,” the man said. “I can help you get revenge.”
Relik drew himself up to his full height and puffed up his chest. “What’s your name, boy?”
The young man smiled. “My mother calls me Ren.”
