Turning to leave, she stopped and looked back one last time. “Perhaps, when that day comes, I can tell our child the truth about its father. But…I’m afraid it won’t be a happy story.”

Titus lunged at the bars, thrusting an arm out. Vorena ducked back.

“I swear I will get out of here, and I promise you your life won’t be worth spit!”

“Goodbye, brother. I’ll try to remember you in calmer times.”

  With that, she left.

In the silence of the brig, far below Ascension Island, Titus sat in the cold cell, his mind stirring with thoughts of blood and revenge.

He swore he would kill all those responsible for his current state.

  Falco. Saladin. Tiberius.

And Joe Braddock, if he was still alive.

The havoc Titus would reap upon all those who’d betrayed him would be biblical.

It was his fate to rule Olympus and he would again, he had no doubt.

Despite his anger and rage, Titus allowed himself to smile in the darkness.

It was going to be a lovely war.

  THE END.
