Hired to Breed (The Hired Series Book 3)

Annalise sniffled again but nodded as he lifted their bag. He knew she trusted his parents to care for the twins while they were gone, but it was still hard for her to part with them.
They’d celebrated the twins first birthday a month earlier and since both of them had weaned, it was time for him and Annalise to fix one last thing.
He was going to claim her.
After the twins’ birth, they’d finally gotten ahold of Ms. Haranne. It had taken some negotiation, but after pulling in Sandra and Austin to help, they’d convinced her to release Liam from his contract with The Haven. It had been a tense few days, but it was worth it.
He now worked for Austin full time. His parents bought a house in Eden so they were closer, and when Annalise started working again part time they would come play with the babies.
They knew Annalise wouldn’t go back into heat while she was nursing, and there was no way to know when it would happen once she’d stopped, but they were tired of waiting. He wanted to place his mark on her and claim her as his.
Instead of waiting for it to happen, Annalise talked to her doctor about a medication Sandra mentioned and got approval to force her heat. With both of them working, plus having to make arrangements for the twins, it was better to be able to schedule it instead of having it come on suddenly.
They’d filed the paperwork, had Liam’s teeth guards removed, and they were ready.
Since Annalise decided to stay in Eden, she’d commissioned Sandra to design them a house. They picked a spot by the river, hidden from the city by a stand of trees and far enough away to give Annalise the peace she craved even as Eden grew.
Though there wasn’t much peace to be found with two toddlers.
Austin and Liam had worked hard to get it built in time, so while Annalise thought he was taking her to a special hotel room for her heat, he was actually taking her to their new home. He looked forward to surprising her with it if he could ever get her out of the apartment.
“It’s time to go. Everything will be fine.”
He took her hand in his, giving it a tug to get her moving. She sucked in a deep breath, blowing it out before turning to the door and walking through without looking back. Liam said goodbye to his parents before joining her at the elevator.
Eden continued to grow, the small community starting to live up to the title of ‘city’. They’d finally gotten AutoCabs, and he had one waiting when they left the building.
Annalise raised her brow, but Liam shrugged.
“The bag is heavy,” he lied.
She climbed in as he threw the bag in the back and slid in next to her. Not wanting her to notice their direction, he did the first thing that came to mind to distract her.
Snagging her by the back of her neck, he hauled her into his lap and crushed his lips to hers.
Annalise moaned into his mouth, melting against him. It was hard to find time for themselves with the little ones, so they hadn’t gotten as much of each other as either would have liked.
It was a short trip to the house, but by the time the cab stopped it was already flooded with the scent of slick and his dick was throbbing against his fly. Releasing her so they could climb from the car, he told himself to be patient.
When Annalise stood and noticed where they were, she let out a gasp. Liam couldn’t stop the grin from spreading across his face, pride in what had been accomplished filling his chest.
It was a gorgeous house.
Two floors, the upper with cathedral ceilings, the entire back of the house was windows overlooking the river. It was spacious, with four bedrooms, plus an office space for Annalise. He’d learned of her mistreatment as a teen, and they’d been sure to create a bright, open home to raise their children in.
They hadn’t had a chance to plant anything around the house yet, so the outside was still bare, but it was ready for them to move in.
“You finished it!”
She turned and threw her arms around his neck, pulling him down for a kiss. His cock twitched, reminding him they were there for a reason, but he wanted to give her a moment to explore if she wanted.
Annalise released him, letting him grab their bag so they could go inside. She paused in the entryway, staring around with her hands clasped in front of her chest. It needed paint, but he hadn’t wanted to make that decision without her, so everything was still white, but she didn’t seem to care.
“It’s beautiful.”
He dropped the bag, pulling her into his arms.
“You’re beautiful,” he growled against her neck, licking the spot he planned to mark.
A shiver ran through her, a delicate purr rising to his ears as he ground his erection against her lush rear.
“I think it’s time to take that pill. Then you can show me around until it kicks in.”
Her whisper had his heart racing. He was more than ready to claim the mother of his children and be tied to her for life. He wanted the world to know she was his.
Liam growled again as the scent of slick teased his nose. Scraping his teeth across her shoulder, he forced himself to step away so she could take the medication before he lost control.
Annalise
Her core clenched in anticipation as she popped the pill in her mouth and chugged the bottle of water she’d opened. She’d been regretting not bonding with him for too long, and Annalise was ready for it to happen.
The way he watched her already had heat writhing under her skin, the hunger in his eyes calling to her. As hard as it had been to leave the twins, she’d been looking forward to time alone with her Alpha.
Sandra warned her she wouldn’t have long after taking the pill, and touring the house could wait. There was only one room she needed to see.
Unbuttoning her coat, she let it fall to the floor as she moved toward the stairs. Taking the edge of her shirt, she pulled it over her head as she made her way up, turning to look at Liam over her shoulder as it fell from her fingers.
“Are you coming?”
His eyes raked up and down her body. She wasn’t as slim as she’d been before the pregnancy, but Liam made sure she knew he loved her curves. He never made her feel self-conscious about not losing the weight.
“Almost. Take off your pants and I might.”
She chuckled, shaking her head. Life was more interesting with Liam around. He always found ways to make her laugh.
Slipping her thumbs over her waistband, she shimmed her pants down, leaning forward to give him a good view as she stepped from them and tossed them over the banister.
“Yep. Just came.”
Annalise couldn’t stop herself from laughing, but it turned into a squeal as Liam lunged for the stairs with a growl. She barely made it to the top before he caught her, arms wrapping around her waist to lift her off the floor.
“You’re mine now. There’s no escape.”
She shivered at the growl in his words, more slick slipping from her to soak into the lace covering her core. She had no desire to escape, but she wiggled in his hold as an excuse to rub herself against his erection.
When he growled again a cramp tore through her middle, reminding her far too much of labor. The smile left her face, a whine escaping her throat as her body tensed.
Liam didn’t waste any time. Shifting his grip on her, he carried her toward the master bedroom and the saferoom beyond it. Every other room in the house had been empty, but when they entered she could tell he’d prepared it for her.
They’d had it designed like the birthing room at the hospital, with a depression in the center of the floor. A stack of pillows and blankets laid beside it, with water and meal bars sitting in the corner.
Liam let her down in the middle of the depression.
“Build us a nest, Annalise, so I can claim you.”
He tore his shirt over his head, tossing it beside her pile of materials as he moved to loosen his pants. Her core clenched again, slick sliding down her thighs as the pill continued to take effect.
The world was going fuz
zy, and all that mattered was the soft, pretty things waiting for her hands and the Alpha stripping in front of her. He would ease her pain, but only if he had a nest to claim her in.
She set to work, placing the pillows before weaving the blankets into them to hold everything in place. When she looked up from her task Liam was standing at the edge, arms folded across his chest, cock jutting from his hips.
The scent hit her then, the heady smell of his musk drawing her attention to the bead of fluid at his tip. The nest no longer mattered, she needed him.
Crawling closer, she rose on her knees and placed her hands on his thighs, swiping her tongue over his head. Liam let out a groan, hands moving to her hair.
She wasn’t prepared to be spun around and thrust forward into the nest. She landed with her face mashed into a pillow, ass in the air.
“I can’t wait. I have to have you.”
The rough words sent a ripple through her belly, her body ready for his invasion. She held her breath as something warm and blunt rubbed between her lower lips before pressing to her opening.
Liam didn’t go easy on her, slamming in with a hard thrust that lodged him halfway before her channel rebelled. She let out a cry as she clenched around him, his push too sudden, but he didn’t stop.
Pulling back, he thrust again, sinking in until his hips mashed against her ass. He didn’t give her any time to relax, setting a punishing rhythm that had her blood singing and her core tightening as she raced towards release.
Tugging her head up by her hair, he pulled her flush to his chest as she felt his knot starting to expand. Her head was tipped to the side as his other arm wrapped around her, thick fingers finding her clit as he licked along the column of her neck.
It only took two passes for her to shatter, her channel trembling around his length as he pulled her down again. Liam’s roar of release almost deafened her as his knot locked behind her pelvic bone, sending her straight into another orgasm.
Teeth pinched her neck, no guards to block him this time. Incisors tearing into her flesh, Liam marked her, claiming her as his mate.
The bond fluttered to life in her chest, love and possessiveness flooding into her from her Alpha.
Her life may not have gone the way she’d planned, but she couldn’t imagine a better life than the one she had.
Thanks
I’d like to thank you for reading my book. I hope you enjoyed it and the different take on Alphas this world gives us. Nothing is sexier than a man who loves his family, and I wanted to show that with Liam.
It would mean a lot to me if you could leave a review. I read each of them, and it’s the best way for me to know what my readers want and where to improve. If people enjoy this story, I already have an idea for another set in this world.

USED: Omega Market Book 1
Chapter One
To be omega is to be subjugated.
Dominated.
Enslaved.
But it's also to be wanted.
Desired.
Valued.
Other omegas tried to hide from their fate. Tried to have a say in when, and who, they mated.
It never worked.
They would be found. Caught. Dragged, crying, and fighting the whole way. The end was always the same. Their biology was used against them.
If they were lucky enough to be found before their heat, that is. They're always found once they go into heat. Nothing can hide that scent from an alpha, and the results could be… unpleasant.
It was easier just to do what the law said. Go to the collection center and avoid the stress.
Hiding away in the dark, half starving in the cold, just to put off what was going to happen anyway, seemed pointless. Showing up willingly, clean and docile, and not scrawny from lack of food, seemed like the smarter way to go.
Elise thought she would get a better price that way, and it's obvious if someone can pay more for an omega, then they should have plenty for a decent home and food to eat. One could hope they would take care of their investment. Having a young, willing omega, that didn't try to escape or cry before she was bonded, should be worth something.
According to the law, every omega was to present themselves to a collection center before their first heat, to be matched with an alpha with complementary genetics, who would then bond and mate them during their first cycle. Since omegas matured slower than the other dynamics, that usually meant somewhere around their twentieth to twenty-first year.
They were told that it was for the good of future generations. That this was the way to assure diseases and genetic disorders were eradicated, and that their children were strong.
Elise knew that in reality, omegas were a commodity like any other, to be sold to the highest bidder. Used for wealth and gain.
Some species naturally produce more omegas than others, and they became a great way to create alliances throughout the different worlds. Especially for Earth, since human alphas were even more rare than omegas were, and human females were compatible with any race.
Alphas had to pay a premium to access the Omega Market, and the more they paid, the more choices they had.
The women were filed in a galactic database where the alphas could put in their preferences and browse through the options, though they wouldn’t have long to decide. Bidding would begin as soon as the omega’s information was listed.
Being virginal was not a requirement.
Most omegas wanted their first time to be with who they chose, since they couldn't choose their mate unless they were from an extremely wealthy family who could pull strings to keep them off the Market. Elise figured it was another thing that would increase her value though, so she had waited. None of the beta males had ever interested her enough to make her think twice about it.
She brushed her blonde hair until it shone and lay about her shoulders and down her back in a straight sheet, her bangs freshly trimmed to hang just right. She was wearing a dress she made specially for this occasion. It was a deep blue that matched her eyes, and it hugged her curves enough to hint at what was underneath, without being indecent.
Elise had spent the last month making it from cloth she’d used all her savings to purchase. Every credit she had earned, found, and been given, was invested into this day.
She used a finger to smudge a bit of soot on her eyelids and stepped back from the small piece of broken mirror on the wall. This was it. This was the day she had been planning for since she knew she was an omega.
Looking around her room one last time before stepping out and shutting the door behind her, Elise sighed. It had hardly been bigger than the single bed pressed against the wall and didn't hold anything important to her.
She left a note on the bed for the girls she lived with, so they would know what happened and that they could let someone else have the room and the things she left behind. She’d done the same with her boss. Elise knew they wouldn't agree with her decision, but that was fine.
A couple of them were omegas still holding out. Elise was younger than them since she just turned twenty, but the others had no plans to turn themselves in.
She decided long ago that her twentieth birthday would be the day. There was no reason for her to wait since she was of legal age.
Elise stepped out of the building into the cool air with just a small bag over her shoulder. It had a couple pairs of clothes, and not much else. She didn’t have anything of value to bring with her.
It was cold enough that standing still left her a bit chilled without a jacket but walking to the center would warm her up.
She turned down the street without looking back. She had no reason to, with no sent
imental attachment to where she had lived the past couple years. Elise had known she would be leaving it before she got there, and had no second thoughts now that the time had come.
This was what was best for her.
Elise stopped a block from the center. It hadn't been too long of a walk and she had taken her time so she wouldn't arrive sweaty, but she still wanted to stop and freshen up for a moment. First impressions could make a difference.
Once her breathing had slowed to a gentle rise and fall, she crossed the last bit of sidewalk leading her to her destiny.
Taking the stairs up to the front doors, her heart began to race. No one knew what was past them. No omega to enter the center had ever returned, and the people who worked there would be the last to talk about what happened within.
Fingers pressed to the handle, Elise paused, a shiver running down her spine. There was no turning back once she stepped through. Her life would no longer be her own.
Thinking of the dreary, worn down buildings she had passed, and breathing in the smog-laced air of the city, Elise straightened her shoulders and pulled. There wasn’t much that could be worse than her life. Worked to exhaustion every day of the year, she was used to the disappointments of life, and could take whatever was behind those doors.
Chapter Two
Stepping through the entrance of the collection center, the first thing Elise noticed was the cold. Where the temperature outside was chilly, the air in the building felt like she had stepped into a refrigeration unit.
The walls were a plain white, scuffed and dirty around the base, with a single abstract photo hanging in the center of the room. The white floor tiles were in even worse shape, cracked and dull with age and lack of care.
A fake tree in a green pot stood in a corner to her right, its leaves drooping with the mass of dust collected on them, and three dull-blue plastic chairs sat against the far wall.
It was… disappointing.
