Savage Love

“Wow,” he stammered.
“I always loved your lips, Lev.” Chaz traced them with the tip of his finger. “The way you would open up to me so freely, it was like an aphrodisiac.”
“I want you so much,” Lev whispered.
“I want you too, but I also want us to take our time. We’ve been apart for so long.”
Lev searched Chaz’s eyes. “I’m not going anywhere. I can promise you that.”
“Good, neither am I.”
Chapter Eight
Lev closed his eyes as Chaz’s hands slipped up his back. Chaz removed his shirt and he leaned into solid warmth. Fingers swept across his abdomen, smoothing up to trail across his nipples. Lev leaned back and Chaz’s lips brushed his. He moaned softly as Chaz moved them toward the bed. His pants and boxers came off and then he sprawled out on the bed, watching as Chaz removed his own clothing. He openly enjoyed the smooth skin that was exposed, and Lev licked his lips thinking about Chaz touching him, kissing him.
Chaz crawled up his body, touching and kissing him softly. Lev reached out and touched Chaz’s face. They gazed at each other before Chaz leaned over him, kissing him slowly. Lev arched up as Chaz’s hand swept his balls and trailed lower.
“Chaz,” Lev breathed.
“Do we have lube?”
“In my bag.”
“Naughty Russian,” Chaz leered.
Lev closed his eyes and seconds later Chaz was back, slicked up and massaging his hole. Lev spread his legs wider, inviting Chaz closer. Chaz slid a finger inside and then hovered above him again, rutting their hardened cocks together. The pressure in Lev’s ass was wonderful, and Chaz added another finger to the first. Lev inhaled sharply as Chaz rubbed his prostate.
“God,” Lev choked out. “More.”
“Feels good?” Chaz licked Lev’s lip, biting it softly.
“Yes. More please.”
Chaz took his mouth, stopping any more words. It was as if they’d never been apart. Chaz knew just where to touch him, how to kiss him. Lev wrapped his arms around his lover and returned the kiss. Chaz moaned, moving to the rhythm of his fingers inside Lev’s body. Lev’s pleasure crashed again and again as Chaz touched him exactly where he needed it, and the memories of their first time together came flooding back.
Chaz licked at him, twining their tongues together, gently sucking and nibbling. Lev wrapped his hands in Chaz’s hair as his balls filled and a spark lit behind his eyes. He came crying out, his head thrown back as a wail escaped him. Hot semen coated his stomach as Chaz let loose with his own orgasm. Chaz collapsed on him, wrapping him up tightly in his arms.
“We were always good at that.”
“And we only did it once,” Lev sighed, sated.
“I wanted to wait before we did it again. I wanted to know if it was real. The feelings I had for you.”
“Mine were always real,” Lev whispered.
Chaz framed Lev’s face with his hands. “I’ve always loved you.”
“When this is all over, I want more, Chaz. I want so much more.”
“Like?”
“Marriage. I want to marry you.”
Chaz eased back and searched Lev’s face. “Really?”
Lev nodded slowly.
“Fine, but I’m asking.”
Lev cocked a brow.
“Just let me.” Chaz smiled, pressing his forehead to Lev’s.
“Anything for you.”

The sun snuck its way through the cracks in the blinds and warmth teased his skin as Lev awoke with Chaz in his arms. It was so perfect a sight; he didn’t want to move for fear of losing it. Chaz’s hair was disheveled, his lips parted slightly as he slept. Lev caressed Chaz’s cheek with the backs of his fingers. A slight growth was shadowing Chaz’s chin, and Lev leaned over to kiss those perfect lips. Lashes fluttered and a smile graced Chaz’s lips.
“Hey,” he said, sleepily.
“Hi.” Lev smiled, kissing Chaz’s nose.
Chaz palmed Lev’s face and gazed into his eyes. The Lev from so long ago looked back at him — slightly nervous, but always open. Chaz gathered Lev into his arms and held him. After six years apart, Lev was finally in his arms again. God, how he’d missed him. The pain, anger and devastation of losing Lev were quickly fading the more time Lev spent in his arms.
“Hungry?” Lev inhaled Chaz’s scent and tunneled his fingers through Chaz’s beautiful blond locks.
“I am.” Chaz nodded.
“Well, let’s get showered and head over to Nadine and Joe’s.”
Once they were showered and dressed, they took the beach path back to the Waters’ house. Lev couldn’t believe how clean the air was; the water seemed to beckon him and he bent to feel the rush of the water over his palm.
“You missed the ocean, didn’t you?” Chaz asked.
“I didn’t get to see a lot of ocean in Siberia. I secluded myself a lot to avoid hurting someone. Dasan was a big part of helping me learn control, of making me human, as was Dane.”
“Dasan lives with Hayden and Jude now, right?”
“Yes.” Lev nodded. “I would have begged Hayden and Jude to take him if they hadn’t offered. He’s happy, you know? Even though he’ll always mourn his parents, Hayden and Jude are always there for him.”
Chaz stopped and pulled Lev close. “You miss your family, don’t you? I saw…your mom.”
Lev swallowed hard.
“She had just told me how much she loved me and she was going to try to get us out to live normal lives,” Lev sighed and gazed at the sun climbing its way to the heavens. “The cab…it just exploded and I just remember sitting in the middle of the street.”
“I’m so sorry, Lev. You lost everything.”
“I did.” Lev glanced back at Chaz. “I lost my father and then I lost you.”
Chaz lifted Lev’s chin and met his eyes. “I will never let you leave me again.”
Lev was startled by a loud growl. He spun around in the sand and pushed Chaz behind him as a copper-colored wolf stalked them.
“Anya…” Lev placed his hands in front of him, palms facing out. “It’s Lev Chirkoff and Chaz Savage.”
“I don’t think she cares,” Chaz whispered, trying to pull Lev backwards.
Anya snarled and bared her teeth, her haunches rising impossibly high. She advanced on them and Lev pushed Chaz backwards. He took a deep breath and stared Anya down.
“I will shift and I will protect Chaz,” he warned.
Anya readied herself and then Lev whipped back around to the sound of another loud snarl. It seemed to rip through the air and bounce across the cliffs. Lev’s mouth dropped open as little Kane flew in between them, his hair on end and his teeth bared.
“Anya!”
Lev let out a huge sigh as John raced down the beach with a robe. Kane moved closer and padded around Anya, who seemed to have at least calmed down a bit in the presence of the young alpha. Kane sat down in front of her, tilting his head. He whined and rubbed up against her belly.
“Anya!” John rushed to her side with the robe. He finally noticed Chaz behind Lev. “She didn’t bite him, did she?”
Anya shifted and blinked. She stared at Lev and then Chaz.
“John?” Anya stared at her mate in confusion.
“What are you doing out here?” John pulled the robe around her and fastened the belt. “I woke up and you were gone.”
“I was hungry.” Anya leaned into John. She looked at them with a sheepish grin. “I’m sorry I scared you.”
“No harm done.” Lev shrugged.
“Yeah, sure.” Chaz nodded slowly and licked dry lips. “No harm done.”
“I’m starving!” Anya declared.
“Okay, come on, I’ll get you fed.” John nodded to Lev with a smile. “See you at the house?”
“Yup. Good to see you John.” Lev winked.
Chaz stood stock still as John escorted his mate back up the hill. He looked down at Kane who was wagging his tail,
his tongue lolling out of the side of his mouth. Lev bent down and scratched behind his ears.
“Thanks, little man. I bet you were running away from a bath, am I right?”
Kane huffed and began walking back towards the house.
“That is one fierce little wolf,” Chaz laughed.
Lev chuckled.
The kitchen table was full as they all gathered to eat Nadine’s fantastic cooking. Chaz sat next to Lev on the opposite side of where Anya was sitting with John. The woman scared the piss out of him. Lev took his hand under the table and squeezed it softly. Chaz almost moaned as fluffy pancakes dripping with syrup landed in front of him on a plate.
“Thank you, Nadine,” he smiled.
“I think you have Joe star-struck, Chaz,” Nadine chuckled.
“I do?” Chaz glanced over at Joe Waters with a smile. “I take it you watched the Seahawks?”
“Are you kidding me? You were the best player they had.” Joe sipped his coffee.
“I loved the game; still do.” Chaz took a bite of pancake and closed his eyes. “So good, Nadine.”
“Thank you.” Nadine sat down and observed Anya stuffing bacon in her mouth. “Anya?”
“Yes?”
“Are you hungry?” Nadine smiled.
“I’m starving!” Anya growled at John when he reached for the bacon platter.
“She’s been a little…moody?” John said carefully. He handed the ham platter to Anya before she bit him.
“So, Anya. Have you been sleeping well?” Nadine asked, chewing thoughtfully.
“No. I can’t get comfortable and I have strange dreams.” Anya bit into a roll and shoved a piece of ham in her mouth at the same time. “I’m tired all the time and…well I don’t know what!”
Nadine eyed John, who was busy trying to eat his own food before Anya took it.
Lev’s brows furrowed and then he looked up, meeting Nadine’s eyes. The silent question passed between them and Nadine nodded.
“Anya, do you still have your monthly?” she asked.
Anya looked around the table. “Should we be discussing this in front of everyone?” she fairly snarled.
John’s head popped up as realization dawned on him.
“You don’t think?” John eyed Anya.
“Why are you all staring at me?” Anya glared at all of them.
“I’m calling Alexander.” John took Anya’s hand. “Come outside with me?”
“But I haven’t finished eating!” Anya cried.
“I’ll take the plate.” John nodded to the men at the table as he left, taking Anya with him.
“Is that even possible?” Lev asked.
“How do you think Mateo and Riley had a child?” Nadine raised a brow. “The calmer female werewolves are excellent surrogates. So, yes – these old gals can get the job done.”
“God, that must suck,” Chaz mumbled. He looked up to see the whole table staring at him. “What? Having your period for decades after it should have been long gone?”
“I see your point.” Nadine grinned.
“Do you really think she could be pregnant?” Lev asked.
“If she is, I know John will be happy. He’s had a second chance at love, has four grown boys, his grandson Gage, and another on the way with Troy and Sawyer. He deserves happiness.”
“Why don’t you two take a walk around the reservation? It’s nice outside.” Joe winked.
“Sure.” Chaz stood up, picking up his plate.
“Oh, don’t worry about that.” Nadine waved a hand at the dishes.
Chaz scowled. “My momma didn’t raise me not to help, ma’am.”
Nadine blushed and Lev smiled. He grabbed his own plate and helped clear the table before they went for a walk on the beach. They held hands, leisurely strolling as if they didn’t have a care in the world.
The worst part? They did.
“What did you do after you left?” Chaz asked.
It had been so quiet, Lev almost jumped in the air. He glanced sideways at Chaz.
“I went north, found some people like myself. It wasn’t hard to find them; werewolves have a keen sense of smell. They had their own pack, but I wasn’t in the mood then to become part of one for long. I stayed for a few weeks, just trying to get my bearings.”
“Did you ever think about me?” Chaz squeezed Lev’s hand.
“Seriously? Every damn day, Chaz. I couldn’t call, though, and I couldn’t write. I didn’t watch TV or the news or anything that would take me back to the life I had with you. I knew that time was over. If my being a werewolf didn’t freak you out, you’d have been livid that I deceived you. It was a no-win situation for me. But every night I thought about how it had been to hold you and kiss you. You were my first everything, Chaz.”
“I loved you so much,” Chaz whispered. “I tried for a long time to find you, even hired private investigators. I was so worried something had happened to you, and I’d never know. It was torture every damn night.”
“God, I’m so sorry, Chaz. I wanted to come back to you so many times, but I was scared.”
“I never did drugs, but I drank for a while. I didn’t care what happened to me. Cole brought me out of the darkness.”
Lev stopped and turned to Chaz, holding his hands.
“You were the only one for me Chaz Savage, and you always will be. I’d never been in love until the day I saw you.”
Chaz held Lev’s face in his hands. “You’ll always be in my heart.”
“I want…I want you to make love to me, please.”
Chaz nodded.
“Tonight.”
Dinner was served and Lev’s nerves were shot. He’d be with Chaz tonight after almost six years of celibacy. It was a lot to process and he hoped he didn’t fuck it up. He’d always been the bottom for Chaz, and he’d loved it that way. Now, as he watched Chaz, he wanted to mark him, own him. The damn wolf inside him was clawing to get out.
Lev repositioned himself on the chair and caught the look of amusement from Chaz.
John had driven up to Seattle with Anya for tests. Troy twirled his fork around his fingers, smiling at the table.
“We got some news,” he smiled.
Nadine dropped her fork. “Are…is she?”
“Yes!” Sawyer spoke for his husband. “Our surrogate is pregnant! We’re going to have a baby.”
The table erupted in shouts and whistles and Nadine wrapped her arms around both Sawyer and Troy.
“I am so happy for you! Does your father know, Sawyer?”
“Yes, we told him right before he left. My brothers are coming down for a visit to celebrate, too.”
“Won’t that be fun,” Nadine mused. “All the Quinton boys back on the reservation.”
“So,” Lev smiled at Sawyer — he seemed to be beaming. “A dad, huh?”
“Yes, I can’t wait.” Sawyer turned to Troy. “He or she will have our combined DNA.”
“Alexander did that?” Chaz asked.
“Yes. We fought so hard over who would be the biological father, that Alexander made the decision for us.” Troy laughed.
“And how is Ryanne? She’s doing okay?”
“She’s really good.” Sawyer nodded. “Of course, she’ll be off the calming meds while she’s pregnant, so that should be scary.” Sawyer chuckled. “But I think she’ going to be a wonderful surrogate.”
“So.” Chaz rubbed his temples. “Your baby will definitely be a werewolf then?”
“Oh yes, there’s no getting around that, but we’re ready.” Sawyer kissed his husband’s cheek.
“We’ve had plenty of practice with babysitting Kane.” Troy winked.
“Well.” Joe stretched his arms out. “Shall we go light the bonfire?”
“Yes.” Troy stood up, grabbing his plate. “I’ll go get Archer.”
Chaz sat on a makeshift seat made of a tree stump. Lev sat between his legs leaned up against him. It was comfortable, and the heat of the fire warmed them.
&n
bsp; Archer was the alpha of the Queets pack. His hair was salt and pepper, pulled back into a ponytail with wisps hanging around his strong features. His smile was genuine as he looked over the men around the fire, and of course, Nadine.
“Once upon a time, we were a quiet people. Then Dakota came along,” Archer chuckled.
Dakota Cadotte Waters was the beta of the pack. He’d met Sam when Sam had hit him with his car. It was love at first shift for them.
“I’ll never forget it,” Dakota mused. “Here was this huge guy leaning over me in the road and I thought, ‘God, why does he smell so good’?”
Sam laughed, hugging his husband to him. “You were mine from the moment we met, and then we had Kane.” Sam looked down at his son curled up in Dakota’s arms. “Who would have thought our child would be the alpha of us all?”
“Not me,” Archer chuckled.
“So, Wayne is the head honcho?” Chaz asked.
“For the time being.” Archer nodded. “Once Kane matures, he will take the place of Wayne with his mate by his side.”
“And that’s Mateo and Riley’s son, Matty, right?” Chaz questioned.
“Yes, they were born within minutes of each other and the bond formed right away,” Archer explained. “Although, that is not the case for all. Some know right away they are bonded, and to whom; others — well the fates seem to think they need time to adjust.”
“Jude and Hayden!” several called out at once.
“Scott and Tristan,” Sam pointed out.
“No, they knew they were bonded, they just hated each other,” Dakota snickered.
“Ah.” Troy glanced at Chaz. “Cole and Ross. Perfect example.”
“Yes, Ross explained it to me that he’d completely overlooked the fact that he was drawn to Cole from the second they laid eyes on each other. Wouldn’t that be a big hint?”
“Not if you’re as stubborn as Ross.” Sawyer smiled.
“So you and Troy knew?” Chaz tilted his head.
“Oh yeah, the second I saw Troy I knew. He was human, so it didn’t affect him the same way it affected me.” Sawyer ruffled his husband’s hair.
