Crazy on You

Not drying off their bodies after the shower proved to be a smart move. The water droplets on Tassia’s body quickly evaporated. Sweat replaced whatever water she had lost.
Hyde cupped her breast and gave her hardened nipple a squeeze. That prompted a second orgasm from her.
“Hy, please.” She placed her face against the side of his neck and kissed the tender flesh. She tasted his salty skin and immediately craved more. She licked his collarbone as he drove into her harder and harder. When he curved his hips and hit the right spot in her core, she broke. “Yes! Hy, take it.” She clawed his back and her toes curled until the orgasm subsided.
He carried her over to a dresser and placed her on top of it. As he stared into her eyes again, he started his long, slow, easy strokes.
“You are driving me crazy.” Tassia braced her hands on the dresser’s top and tried to control her staggered breathing.
“Tassia.” He gritted his teeth, then shook his head. “So good. Beautiful eyes.” He gave her a quick peck. “Soft skin.” He gripped her hips and pulled her forward.
She felt him trembling between her thighs. “Tell me what you want.”
For the first time, Hyde dropped his gaze and shook his head. “If you sing right now, I’ll explode.” He chuckled, but Tassia knew a kernel of truth existed in his confession.
To tease him, when she moaned, she added a sexy lilt to it, like when she used to sing as a back-up singer. Hyde brought his attention back to her.
She moaned again and added more layers, almost like in a church choir. The third time she moaned, she sounded more like Donna Summer in “Love to Love You, Baby.”
“Tassia, damn it.” Hyde’s thrusts increased in speed. He pounded his fist on top of the dresser until his body shook and he held himself deep in her channel.
The position gave her a great ache that she would never be able to replicate with another toy or her own hand. This man had the magic touch, and she wanted more from him. She had to wonder if he had more to give.
Hyde struggled to catch his breath as he planted kisses on her lips and all over her face. “Best. Birthday. Ever.” He laughed.
Tassia chuckled with him. “That was pretty amazing.” She stroked her fingers down the side of his face. “Now what?”
Without pulling out of her, he smiled before answering. “We’re grabbing all the condoms and going upstairs to the main bedroom.” Then his smile melted. “And then maybe we need to talk.”
Uh-oh. Tassia didn’t like the sound of that.
Chapter 14
Hyde propped his head on his hand as he looked at the beauty next to him in his bed doing her best to creep away without being noticed. Tassia wouldn’t even look back at him. She slipped one foot out of the bed to the floor as though gauging the proximity of the floor to the mattress.
Hyde thought he had heard her sighing in relief as she eased her other foot out of the bed, and then she oozed the rest of her luscious body from under the covers.
He guessed that she thought he still remained sleeping while she attempted her escape. In the early morning with sunlight cutting through the heavy curtains that he hadn’t pulled together to keep the light out, he watched her swaying toward the door. Her hips rocked like a pendulum, and it reminded him of their incredible time together, how she moved and swayed and held onto him like a bull rider refusing to give up her seat. He wouldn’t be letting her get away that easily.
“Why are you running?” His question stopped her cold at the door of his bedroom with nothing covering her body.
“I’m not running.” Tassia wrapped her arms around her body, which seemed silly considering what all they had done to each other only hours ago.
Hyde watched her shoulders rise and fall when she took a deep breath before she turned to him. He did all he could to not peer down at her amazing body, full of curves and sleekness, like a luxury car that not everyone could handle.
He had had her though. He had gotten her to come multiple times.
Tassia had been just as powerful. Whether she knew it or not, she had gotten him to relax his stance on being with someone in the industry.
“Where are you going then?” Hyde sat up with his back against the ornate wooden headboard. “I thought we would—”
“We shouldn’t have done what we did.” She backed toward the door like she wanted to still leave.
“Can’t un-ring that bell.” He patted the bed. “Come back to—”
“I don’t know what you think about me, but I’m not the type to sleep with just anyone.” She rubbed her hand up and down her bare arm. She snickered. “It’s Sunday.”
Hyde felt his eyebrows rut together. “Is that supposed to mean something?”
She started to walk toward him again. “I always talk to my dad every day. If I were home, he and I would attend church together.”
Although he didn’t want to, he blinked in surprise. “Really?”
Tassia tiptoed back to the bed, but didn’t sit down. Not just yet. “You sound like you don’t believe me.”
“I don’t know. I just assumed that—”
She sat down on the bed. “Because I sing sexy songs that I wouldn’t have a close relationship with my family or go to church?”
He remained quiet. He had made that assumption, just as she had assumed he had brought her to his house for one thing. Hyde tried to be transparent with a few exceptions.
He should have confessed to her the secret in the house. Hyde glanced at a small vintage wooden table in a corner of his room. He would tell Tassia about what he had hidden inside it at the right time. After what had happened between them, he still needed a bit of alone time with her before revealing a bit of technology he had concealed.
Tassia slipped under the comforter if only to hide her body. “That public persona is just that. A persona. I’m not easy or loose.”
“Then how did I make it under your radar?” Hyde also wanted to know how he could stay there.
She peered down and a smile spread across her face. “The song.” She glanced at him. “Us singing together.” She rested her hand on her stomach. “I felt something. Didn’t you?”
He smiled. “Of course. That’s why I think—”
“No more sex between us.” She shook her head vigorously. “We need to concentrate on work.”
Hyde didn’t agree with Tassia’s request. “Oh, I get it. You’re scared.” He had gotten her before with that line. He would try it again.
“You’re right.” Tassia nodded. “I’m afraid that if we get too distracted, we won’t finish what we started.”
“Is that the most important thing to you?” Hyde crossed his legs at the ankles.
“Yes. Recording this album, clearing my name as far as my songwriting skills, those are the most important things to me right now. Anything else will be a distraction to both me and you. We can chalk this experience up as us taking advantage of our weak moment.”
“No. For sure don’t call me weak. It took every bit of my strength to make sure you were satisfied.” Hyde never planned this, never expected that he would want Tassia as much as he did, and that she would want him just as much.
“Damn.” She smirked.
“What?”
“That would make a really good song, too.”
Hyde chuckled. “What can I say? You bring out the best in me.”
He had gone to his pond to cool off after kissing her when they had recorded their song. Even that hadn’t been planned nor expected. Hyde felt so right with her. He had to wonder, though, what scared Tassia from wanting more? Why did he even care? She gave him the green light to walk away without any issues. Too bad at this point, he didn’t want to stop now.
Hyde peered behind himself at the condoms on the nightstand. Good thing she had them, not that he couldn’t have satisfied her without them. Now
that he had the opportunity to have sex with her, he knew he couldn’t be happy treating her like chaste high school sweethearts, rubbing on each other and wishing for more. No way could he turn back now.
“If you don’t jump in bed with random men, why the big stash of condoms?” Hyde nodded behind himself.
“My friend India. I was packing to go on vacation, and she thought it would be funny to supply me with more condoms than I could ever use in a lifetime. I never took them out.”
“Lucky for us.”
Tassia released a long exhale and turned on her side to face him. Hyde liked this position. He could stare in her face for hours and never get tired. Having her in his bedroom had him wishing he had invited her up the first day.
She fit. Truthfully, the large room, despite all the furniture his interior decorator said would work to fill the space, always felt empty to him. Now he knew he needed a partner. Whether that partner could be Tassia couldn’t be answered right now. If left up to her, their one incredible night would remain as a one-off experience.
Tassia slipped down in bed, blinked slowly, and looked up at Hyde.
“Did you watch me while I slept?” Her voice came out quiet and croaky.
Hyde slid down to be face-to-face with her. “A little, just long enough to know that you’re a cover hog.”
Her bottom jaw unhinged.
“And you snore.” He tried hard to hold back his laughter.
Tassia narrowed her eyes at him.
“And you throw your arms and legs all over me when you sleep.” He swept her union of braids off her shoulder. “Probably a good thing we aren’t going to do this again.”
She looked somber. “I don’t snore.”
Hyde laughed and nodded. “You do, but it’s actually very cute. It’s almost like a baby bird.”
“So I chirp?” She crawled closer to him and rested her chin on his chest.
“Not exactly. I can’t explain it. It’s just cute.” He kissed her forehead. “You know what else is cute?”
Tassia kissed his chest. “What?”
Why did she have to do that? What happened to not having sex? That one connection pumped blood through his entire body. “During sex, you call me Hy instead of Hyde.”
She blinked. “I did? I thought I said Hyde.”
He shook his head. “It was like ‘Hy! Hy! Hy!’”
She burst into laughter. “Now you’re teasing me.”
“I am, but you really did say it like that. It was sexiest thing I’ve ever heard. I’ve never had a real nickname.” He rested his hand on her bare back and brushed his fingertips over her flesh.
“You surprised me.” She circled her fingertips around his nipple. “Here I thought I would be showing you some tricks in the bedroom.”
Hyde ignored his hardening nipple to get clarification on Tassia’s assessment. “What do you mean?”
“I don’t know why, but I always assumed that you were a virgin.”
He sat up quick enough that Tassia had to roll off him. “Are you serious?”
She nodded. “I guess because you started in the industry so young, and your only serious girlfriend that we in the public knew about didn’t last that long.” She glanced down at his hands. “I’ve never seen a purity ring or anything, but—”
“I’m not a virgin.” Hyde shook his head. “Not that there’s anything wrong with it, but I’m not. The only reason people knew about me and Shelby Lynne is because of our management teams. They released statements about us. If it were up to me, I would rather keep my personal life private, that includes who I’m dating.”
“Oh.” Tassia moved back from him. “Seems like a good idea.”
“Why does everyone in the media need to know about what I’m doing in private?”
“Maybe to show you’re not afraid.”
“Afraid? Afraid of what?”
She didn’t answer. She continued with her thought. “Or ashamed.” Tassia held the comforter up to her neck to cover her sexy body. “Maybe you’re afraid of what your fans will think.”
What he feared she would think had crept in her mind. “I don’t live my life by what fans think. My career is something else.”
She snickered. “One and the same. Your personal life is a part of your brand for your career.”
“Are you saying you are the sexpot who doesn’t write her own songs?” He watched her expression change from solemn to anger in a blink of an eye.
“Forget you.” Tassia started to get out of the bed when Hyde snagged her hand and pulled her back.
“I didn’t say I believed that.” He pulled her back close to him.
“What do you believe?”
Hyde had to be honest and choose his words carefully to not hurt her. “I believe we have a great opportunity to make some beautiful music.” He smiled. “You take that however you want to take it.” He slid back down in the bed and placed his hand on her midsection. “I also think it’s way too early to be defining anything we did. Let’s just take this day by day and see what happens. Deal?”
Tassia remained quiet as she slipped down next to him. “I’d rather go with what I suggested earlier.” She exhaled. “I don’t do this.” She shook her head. “Despite being a, um, sexpot.” She screwed up her lips at him. “I don’t sleep with men I’m not in a serious relationship with.”
“I get it.” Hyde’s chest opened up as he started to be honest with her. “I don’t do this either, even with the millions of women who come to my hotel room.” He cocked his head at her. “I never planned on this happening between us. This was not my intention when I brought you out here. I was honest when I said I brought you here because I wanted a break.” He positioned Tassia on her back and crawled on top of her. “But I’m so glad how things happened. I wouldn’t want to do this project with anyone else but you.”
“What are you doing?” A small smile peeked through her hard countenance. She didn’t stop him. She wiggled her body underneath his.
“You do not want to do that. You’re going to stir up some trouble.” He watched her glancing over to the nightstand before she brought her full attention back to him.
“What kind of trouble is that?” She wrapped her legs around him and undulated her hips so that her nether lips caressed his previously dormant cock.
The more she moved, the harder it became. “Oh, the hard-pounding kind.” He kissed her, then dragged his lips down her chin to her chest where he covered one nipple with his mouth.
Tassia arched her back and writhed on the California king-sized bed. Hyde palmed her other breast and massaged it as he continued sucking on her pert nipple.
She rubbed her hand across the back of his head. “You’ve got to grow your hair out. I need something to hold on to.”
Hyde laughed and moved over to the breast he massaged. “I thought you didn’t want to do this anymore.”
She didn’t respond at first. Her breathing increased as she slithered her pink tongue over her lips. “We’re adults. We can be adult about this, right?”
He took her inquiry to mean that she wanted to go further in this arrangement than recording an album and songwriting. He felt positive about that direction.
Not able to hold out any longer, Hyde reached over to the nightstand and removed another condom from its wrapper.
“We need to get you bigger ones. Much, much bigger ones.” Tassia licked her lips.
When he got it rolled on himself all the way, he repositioned himself back between her thighs. “I’m fine. I can work with these.”
He hooked his arm under her leg and aimed himself at her moist opening. In one smooth motion, he eased his way into her and immediately got transported to the fantasy land he had created in his head, the one where they wrote all day, recorded all afternoon, and then had amazing sex all night.
Like sh
e did the first time they had sex, Tassia clawed his back and arched hers. “So big. So good.” She nodded. “Don’t stop.”
“You couldn’t pay me to stop.” Hyde kissed the side of her face. “You have no idea what you do to me, the power you have.”
“You—you—you, too. Want. More.”
Hyde didn’t know if Tassia meant she wanted him to do more in bed or if she meant something entirely different. Did she want more out of the two of them?
He ground his pelvis as he stroked in her, knowing he would be brushing against her clitoris.
“Oh my God. Not a virgin. Not a virgin.”
Her realization that he hadn’t lied about his sexual experience almost made him laugh. Instead he kept going, wanting so much to hear her come over and over and over again. When she started moaning the last time and it sounded like she stood in a church choir section, Hyde had lost his mind. She sounded so good, just like when they sang in his studio. He meant it when he said that she had no idea what she did to him.
Hyde felt her intimate, slick thick walls collapsing around his shaft, tightening to an incredible level that nearly broke him. “Come, baby. Do it.”
She nodded while keeping her eyes tightly shut.
“Look at me.” He didn’t want to finish this without making that crucial connection.
Tassia shook her head vigorously. “Can’t.”
Hyde felt the side of his mouth pull to a smile. “You can do anything.”
“Not with you.” She arched her back. “Feel it.” She kept one hand on his shoulder and reached back with her other. “So good.”
She undulated her hips, which proved to be Hyde’s undoing. If he planned on lasting longer than a few seconds, he had to regain control.
Hyde pulled out of her, which made her snap her eyes open.
“What are you doing?” She struggled to speak in between gasping breaths.
Instead of explaining himself, he turned her over onto her stomach and brought her up to her hands and knees.
“Oh my God. Hy, Hy, Hy.” She gripped his headboard with one hand.
