Otherworld Soldiers- Rise of the Apocalypse

Nefarion squeezed her lightly, changing thoughts. “My legion is but a fraction of the Demons scouring this planet. There are nine Demon Legions. Mine is The First, twenty-seven hundred strong.”
“Is it the largest?”
“No, that would be The Fourth. They are eight thousand.
Saliea gaped at him. “That is still quite insignificant to the over population of the Earth.”
Nefarion’s eyes puckered. “I dislike the word insignificant. Regardless, you have seen that our strength and healing powers pass to Earth. Their over-population is the key to their destruction. Not only would it have been without us, but it will aid us in depleting their numbers exponentially in a short amount of time.”
“Your timing was faultless, Nefarion.” She brushed her elongated fingers through black strands, moving to another narrow window and looking aimlessly across the plains, doused in red sunlight.
“How so, Saliea?” Nefarion stretched his limbs and cracked his joints.
“Your sun is dying. This planet will die with it.”
“Trissana. Our sun is dying? How do you know this?” Nefarion stopped his movements and listened carefully.
“Has your sun always been red?”
“For as long as I can remember, yes.”
“Then perhaps I am wrong. But the science on Earth has proven that red stars are dead stars. And that is only because it takes so long for their light to reach Earth. In this case, your sun’s light takes much less time to reach here. Red must still signify the same demise. It could be any day that it moves from a red giant to a supernova to a black hole that will devour this entire galaxy.” Saliea finished by gnawing on her bottom lip. Nefarion stared at her, letting the words soak in.
“Then the timing was immaculate. We will clear the fortress and cross over immediately.”
“But what then, Nefarion? You have no idea what kind of opposition awaits you. Once humanity recognizes an enemy, it will be fastidious to dispel it, especially if it is not human. You need absolute cunning and strategy.” Saliea’s stoic features quickly became desperate.
“We may not be billions, but we are tens of thousands who live by cunning, strategy and brute force, my dear Saliea. We live for war and bloodshed. If you feel we have time, then we shall strategize before our crossing. Otherwise we will cross, settle and plan from that point forward. Either way, I assure you we will take Earth. That I am confident of.”
