“Yeah, I didn’t make you stay up half the night you know.” I say playfully.

“I didn’t hear you complaining either.” I gasp and throw a pillow at him.

“Matthew Richardson.” He laughs and heads to the bathroom. I lay our cases on the bed and unzip them taking out the list of things I had packed, and I start to pack our clothes crossing things off. Matt returns and pulls on his boxers and shorts.

“You and your list’s.” He says teasingly as he pulls a t shirt over his head. “Go and get washed I really am hungry.” I head to the bathroom and quickly wash and brush my hair. I dress in linen cropped trousers and a t-shirt, slipping my feet into my sandals we walk up to the bar we have visited every morning for our breakfast.

We sit outside under the parasol the sun already warm as our breakfasts are set in front of us.

“These really are the best breakfasts I’m gonna miss this when we are home.” He says and instantly tucking in.

“They are good aren’t they.” I reply as I take a bite of bacon. “I can’t believe our first proper holiday is almost over.” I sigh wistfully.

“It has been really good to get away and that boss of yours only called you once.” I look up and see him smile. “It’s okay I’m teasing we have come to an understanding I can’t promise we’ll be best mates, but I’m sure now we can get on for your sake if nothing else.”

“That’s good because I love you.”

“You only love me for my last Rolo.” He laughs and leans closer kissing my lips. “You are too easy to tease you know and I love you too.” I watch him eating his breakfast. “Eat up we have to finish packing yet.”

We finish our breakfast and walk back to our apartment taking the longer route back, walking past the shops we stop in and get a keyring and a fridge magnet for Matt’s Mum. Once back at the apartment we finish the packing and sit out on the veranda.

“Would you come back here?” I ask curiously.

“I would like to see other places, I haven’t travelled much. The holiday to Greece when I was a kid was my first holiday aboard. I would like to go back one day and yes I would like to come back here, it’s nice and easy to get to and the weather is perfect.” He says glancing up at the blue sky.

“Maybe one day we can have our own place out here.” His eyes instantly meet mine. “I know it’s a lot of money, but one day when we have a house and are settled it will be nice to have somewhere not too far away, with nice weather that we can escape to.” He nods in agreement, he’s much more relaxed about money these days.

“House? Do you want to move?” He asks. “I thought you loved your apartment?”

“I do love it; I was just thinking if we are getting married maybe we need a family home.” I let the words sink in and the smile on his lips expands.

“I really like the sound of that. Looks like we have a plan.” He looks up as the taxi we ordered pulls up outside our apartment. “Time to head home Angel.”

The taxi ride to the airport is only fifteen minutes, after we check our bags in, we walk around duty free. I treat myself to a bottle of Black Opium and get Matt a bottle of Boss Bottled.

“This won’t turn me into Chris Hemsworth you know!” He says laughing.

“Ahhh, but I don’t want him, I have you.”

“Good answer.” He says kissing my lips quickly.

Our flight is called, and we head to our gate to board the plane.

I look out of the window as we taxi down the runway, the sound of the engine grows louder, and the wheels leave the tarmac. We are climbing higher and higher till clouds pass the window. I squeeze Matt’s hand as we head home. Feeling like I finally got my fairytale.
